Updating Prod Hierarchy field for all 2 & 3 level WBS Elements

Dear All,
My requirment is to update Prod. Hierarchy field for WBS element. Here in input i give 2 level WBS Element with respective Prod. Hierarchy then my program should update the Prod. Hierarchy for 2 level and 3 level WBS element under it automatically.
I hope we need to use bapi BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN.
If any one had a sample code please reply with the attachment.

Dear all,
I have created a project and WBS element in CJ01. Now I go via CJ02 to the change mode and the project ID and WBS element ID is not greyed out. But I would like that the system shows these key fields as not changeable anymore, only fields like description should be changable. Can you please tell me, which customizing step I missed to get the grey field for project ID/WBS element ID?
FYI I do not use a project mask to create the project.

Hi Heidi ,
I don't think you can grey out the Project Definition and the WBS Element fields after the creation .
If you want to restrict the users to change the Proj definition and WBS , a better way is through
Authorization objects and restricting only specified users to change the WBS

Error message setup for CJ32 3 level WBS elements

Dear all
We have 2 requirement for my project system as followed Below
1.The original budget inputted in CJ30 should be the same as released budget on 1st and 2nd WBS level
(i.e. value in column BUDGET is the same as the value in column RELEASE on each 1st and m2nd WBS level in CJ32 ):
2. No budget is released on 3rd WBS level (there must be zero in CJ32
need to set up the error message when entering the budget release in CJ32.
Hence requesting all please let me know is there any standard process available for above required
if not is there any validation or ABAP development possible.
If any validation is possible please let me the possible scenario.
and let me know the disadvatages for settings of error message if any

Where can I see change documents for all changes to WBS elements

I have set up config via OPSA for both Basic Data and Status Management change documents to be allowed for nominated project profiles. I have then created a new project with the required project profile and whilst I can see the history for status management / user status. I am unable to see changes for other field information.
Is there a way to be able to see who changes the data like (wbs description, person responsible /applicant, profit centres etc)?
I have checked table JCDS and that only appears to give me status management.

Enabling Update of New Fields for Provisioning

hai all,
I am using Microsoft Active Directory User Management Release 9.1.1.x (MSFT_AD_Base_9.1.1.7.0), i am following this procedure

and I have configured all that is mentioned in the section "Enabling Update of New Fields for Provisioning" but unfortunately when I update the value of the Employee ID it is not reflected in the AD, whereas the Provisioning and Reconciliation is working perfect, the values of Employee ID field are going to the AD from IDM while provisioning new user, as well as being reconciled to IDM if updated in the AD. But if I edit user in IDM and update the employee id it is not going to AD and there is no error shown, its like this adapter is not running at all.
Can any one tell me what am i missing to make the adapter run and update the values in to the AD. AD is my trusted source.

I have followed step by step...... still no luck..... :(
I need to update the record from the Process form only....
one more thing that on the process definition in the Offline Flag is set to 0 for the employee update task is this the issue? I have also tried with the offline flag value 1 (check the offline checkbox = true) still no effect.

Create material from reference material for all org.levels

Hi,
i want to create a material from a reference material with all MARA, MAKT, MARC, MBEW, MARD, MARM, MVKE, MLAN, MLGN and MLGT content for all organizational levels of the reference material.
For instance, my reference material has 200 MARC entries. All these entries should also be created for the new material.
Transaction MM01 will copy from reference but only for 1 organizational level. To create 200 plants manually with MM01 is not an option.
I have to develop a copy from reference transaction, where i select the new material number, the reference material number and the required tables (MARA, MAKT, etc)
I can read the current tablevalues and insert new entries into the required SAP standard tables, but that is not nice.
Is there another option to do the job ?
I know there are bapi's, but these are related to one org.level. For 200 plants, i have to execute 200 bapi to get the data from the reference material and another 200 bapi's to create the new material.

Hi Goutam,
You can use the BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA, which will create/update the material. You can pass the reference material in the filed BAPI_MARA-PL_REF_MAT. And you can pass reference material for all view like this.

How to update Business area field for alread

Hi,
Recently we activated Business area financial statements in our system. After that all SD entries are showing Business area field in all SD billing-Accounting documents.
But the entries before the above change were not showing Business area since it was not activated before. But i want to update the Business area for the old documents also. so that it will be useful for me in reporting purpose.
Kindly suggest me if there is any PROGRAM to update Business area field for the old documents.

yesterday i started a thread to list the "Optional reference" field for all cm applications in a SSRS report. I've got the query with the help of Torsten.

You could monitor the SMSProv.log when you check the category of an application. It shows that SQL query the SCCM provider used is related to function fn_ListCategoryInstances.

How to restrict from creating the Network for 1st & 2nd level WBS

In our project structure we have up to 5 levels of WBS, In some cases we have creates 3 level also . Now we want to restrict creates Network for first two level WBS , actually we want to restrict user to Create PR for those WBS so if we restrict them from creation of Network for 1st & 2nd level then they not able to create PR for same .

Hi Virendra,
I can suggest you other way round solution.
If you are sure that those two WBS will not take any actual or commitment cost, then its better to NOT to mark those WBS elements as Account Assignment Element. I mean, if you do not set the indicator of Acct. Assignment Element (Untick Acct Assignment Element) on those WBS, then user will not be able to create Networks on those WBS Elements. Try this on your development or quality client and let me know if it works.
If it works, then you just need to disabled the Acct. Assignment Element indicator for those two WBS element and you can achieve that through substitution and field selection of WBS as well.
OR
Just look at OPSG settings at tab component. Just look if that can solve your purpose because your requirement is to stop PR from those WBS element. (I am just wondering if you can stop user from creating/change material components from those WBS-Networks)
OR
Go for User Status and set it to on those WBS Elements. Object Types will be Networks and Network Header.
OR
Try to achieve a validation or substitution where in you can mark Res./Pur. Req as 1 (Never) only for those two WBS elements. In this way user cannot create PR on those two WBS elements.

Fetch Top level WBS elements for delivery type LP

Hi everyone,
we are working on a delivery analysis report and we are in progress of fetching sales order number for deliveries with delivery type LP.
How we are doing?
so we are fetch the UP values from PRHI table for the wbs elements in LIPS.
Now we need to fetching the top level wbs elements from PRHI table by passing the UP values to the same table until the UP field value becomes initial.
Then fetching the corresponding sales orders from the VMPA table for the wbs elements from PRHI table for the value of corresponding UP field is initial.
So it is going through so many iteration to fetch the UP value again and again until it is initial.
What we need?
So if someone can suggest a FM or method to fetch the top level WBS element for the given WBS element from LIPS table will be of great help.

In my project secrino i had created 4 level WBS elements i.e under 2ed level 3 rd level and under 3rd level 4th level i had created. when i am going for budget the system is taking only 4 th level WBS element total to all the Level of wbs.Please guide me to how to solve this issue. i want to have level by level budget.

Amol is right, you don´t need total up the budget. But keep in mind If you have level 1 and level 2 for example and you want 1000 USD for level 1 and 5000 for level 2 it is needed budgeting 6000 for level 1 and 5000 for level 2 ( level 1 only have available 1000 USD)

Error: Maintain settlement rule of the sender for a higher level WBS

Hi,
I dont want to maintain the settlement rule for a higher level WBS. How can i configure this in such a way that i dont get the following error:" Maintain settlement rule of the sender" while doing CJ88. Maintaing a separate Settlement profile for a higher level WBS is an option but we are looking if something else could be done The problem is that there are no actuals booked against, say, level 2 WBS but when i execute CJ88, i get the aforesaid error. How can i ensure that only the lowest level WBS ask for the settlement rule and not the levels above it. I have already removed the Investment profile from the higher level WBS but still getting the same error.

It is a type Capex WBS and Biling element is not checked. In fact i get a warning while doing the settlement: WBS is neither a billing element nor an account assignment element.
Diagnosis
WBS element is not indicated as either an account assignment element or as a billing element in the master record.
System Response
The WBS element cannot be assigned to an account.
Procedure
Correct your entries or add the missing indicator to the master record for the WBS element.
But this is just a warning. On pressing enter i get the error :Maintain settlement rule of the sender "

Hi Karthikeya,
I think the project profile which you are using has a different mask and the WBS element you are passing is different to the BAPI.
Are you able to create manually from CJ01 using the same WBS element?
Create a project manually and it will give the list of the mandatory fields set in the config. Using that list populate the BAPI struture accordingly.
