Updation of sles group in sales order

Dear all,
The sales office and sales group is properly updated in the specific sales area master data of the customer but not flowing in the sales order and subsquently in the invoice. For some documents it gets updated and for others the filed is blank.
I have checked the master data and also the documents and found no errors. Please help in how to solve the issue. I need 100% updation of sales office and sales group in the order and invoice. Please advice how to solve the issue.

Hi Parthasarathy,
Pls once again check in the customer master, whether the Sales Office and Sales Grp values are maintained for Sold to Party or Ship to Party, as these 2 values are fetched only from Sold to party customer master.
Or even, you can try entering the Sales Office and Sales Grp field value in the VA01 main screen, which will automatically flow in to the sales Order and it will be copied to billing document as well in case of Order related Billing. Even if there is different Payer with different Sales Office & Sales Grp, these values will be copied as it is from the Sales Order to Billing.
And if still those values are missing in Billing document, take your ABAPer help in debugging the screen while creation of Billing document to find the reason.

    I am working in SD for the first time and I am facing below problem
    1. Material code was created  with account assignment group (MVKE-KTGRM)  as blank (Sales Org 2 view)
    2. Later this material was entered in Sales Order.
    3. Subsequently Sales Order BOM and Production Order were made against this material.
    4. We maintained account assignment group in material master after creation of Sales order but account assignment group was not updated in Sales Order.
    5. Now the field is gray out or non-editable is there any way by which we can maintain account assignment group in the sales order.
    6. As the field is non editable we are unable to do Invoice by VF01.
    Is there any way by which we can maintain account assignment group in Sales Order??

    Hi
    As you have mentioned that you have maintained the acct assignment grp in the material master after the order was created, it will not appear in the sales order item already created and it will only reflect in new orders and changes to existing orders for that material.
    Proposed solution:
    If it is order related billing that you are doing, then goto VA02 and delete and re-enter the item with same material and qty.
    The account assignment group will appear.
    If the item is delivery related and if the delivery has already been created but PGi not done, then delete the delivery and then delete the item in the sales order and re-enter the item as told above. If PGI also done, then reverse the PGI, delete the delivery and re-enter as suggestd in above scenarios.
    The account assignment group will appear in the billing document document tab in item level.

    I found an exit for VF01transaction where we can update the price in order.

  • This field cannot be updated as there are open sales order lines

    When trying to enable Item Attributes then I am getting a message "This field cannot be updated as there are open sales order lines". I cancelled the Sales Order ( which was having only 1 sales order line and that is also cancelled) but still I am getting the same message.
    How to overcome this problem.

    Issue got fixed. There was an open Sales order Line because of that line the issue was coming. After cancelling that SO Line, Users were able to update the Item field.

  • Update error in  RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_ADD during Sales order creation

    I get an Update/ ABAP runtime error during Sales order creation. The error occurs during processing of the update module -RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_ADD.
    This error does not occuring always, as I am sometimes able to create a Sales order without getting update error. I am getting the error of all types of Sales orders and even contracts.
    Am I missing any configuration parameters?

    Yes , I can see the error in ST22.
    While exceuting VA01 (Oder type OR, Entering Sold-to-party, Purchase order NO, Material, Qty, Plant),
    - I get run-time error "Run-time error "GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED" occurred".
        Analysis of error shows:
         Update terminated in "Update module: RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_ADD"
          Fails in the Read table in one of the form
            Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLV45U" - in "VBAP_BEARBEITEN"
    The main program was "RSM13000 ". In the source code you have the termination point in
    line 147 (READ TABLE FYVBAP WITH KEY VBAP_KEY.)
    of the (Include) program "LV45UF0V".
    The ABAP's say the functional module is trying to do an 'UPDATE' instead of 'INSERT" in the internal table FYVBAP.

  • Changing Availability Checking Group in Sales Order.

    We changed the checking group in the material master.  The existing sales orders still shows the earlier checking group.  So how to change the checking group in existing sales order also (after it is changed in material master).  Also, once the checking group in sales order is changed, how to de-commit and re-commit material as per the new checking group.  Thanks.

    As you have changed Checking Group in MMR later on all ur availability check etc will be calculated as per previous MMR settings..
    Still go to OVZ9...See if your sales order has correct Check rule/Group..
    Then Go to sales order Carry out availability check again...See if Avalability Overview has changes as per your new Check Rule..
    Also Do Some R & D...
    Like test with change in quantity of line items...save and carry out avalability check gain..See if schedule line dates in Sales order Is there any change?
    See if any change is there...
    If not better create new  sales order...it will minimise your efforts and will be quicker way..

    it is done through ova6 Transaction code.  more over i am sending you the screen shot of credit check managment stps. follow this u will not get any error while u r determining the order.
    pl. follow the steps of credit check.
    1. Define the credit control area under img=definition=financial accounting= define cr.control area.
    2.assign it your company code and ur sales area under assignment under img screen.and assign it your sales document types and delivery types and pgi.
    3. create the credit groups for your customers. it can be determined or happen in three stages either in Sales order , or else in delivery or in Post goods issue (PGI).
    the menu path for credit groups as IMG= SD=BASIC FUNCTIONS= CREDIT MANAGEMENT AND RISK SETTINGS= DEFINE CREDIT GROUPS.
    ex: Z1 - credit groups for sales order
    Z2 - credit groups for delivery
    Z3 - credit groups for PGI
    4. define the risk categories. it is required b'coz the customer is of high risk, or medium risk, or low risk customer.
    it is under IMG= FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING= FINANCIAL ACCOUTING AND GLOBAL SETTINGS= DEFINE RISK CATEGORIES.
    ex: Z1- LOW RISK CUSTOMER
    Z2 - MEDIUM RISK CUSTOMER
    Z3- HIGH RISK CUSTOMER.
    5.maintain automatic credit control check for ur credit control area and credit groups of the customer and risk categories. so that the credit check will determines automatically. menu path is IMG=SD=BASIC FUNCTIONS= CREDIT MANAGEMENT AND RISK CATEGORIES= DEFINE AUTOMATIC CREDIT CONTROL.
    6. while u r creating automatic credit control, pl. copy from the std. one and make changes. so that all the existing details will copy and fine tuning have to be done by the SD consultant. basically this is integration with FICO.
    So copy it from any one of the 1000 credit control area and make changes like
    dynamic credit as C and activate the open for order and deliveries and save
    i.e maintain credit control area + risk categories+ credit groups for the customer.
    7. finally maintain the credit limit thru FD32 for ur customer. activate everything on that screen.
    if you follow those rules, definetely cr. limit will determine for you.

  • Material Account Assignment Group, in Sales Order Mass Update

    Sd Experts,
    We just went live, our consultant updated Account assignment group at the material level but did not updated existing materials. When we caught the problem and updated exisisting materials there were some existing orders already created. Which now I am getting an account determination error due to this field being empty at the material level.
    We have some sales orders that I need to update but they are just too many, currently I have been fixing them thru VF02, for to the material and update manually.
    Does anyone has any idea how to mass update this field for all existing orders, to update "Account Assignment Group" field automatically

    In Mass transaction choose object type as #BUS2032,after executing in the next screen from the tables choose#Sales Order Item Data, and from the fields choose#AcctAssgGr (MASSSDHE)-MASSSDHEAD_S-KTGRD, now execute to find fields Sales document and Sales Document item , here load all the Sales Orders for which the change is needed along with the items for which the changes are needed execute again to find the next screen with Sales Documet, Sales Document item and Account assignment which needed to be changed,now select the entire block enter new values in the Account assignment  box in the above, click on the 'Carry out MAss change button ' and then save, it will take some time basing the change tobe carried and issues a log as to how many documents were changed

  • Issue with Delivery Grouping in Sales Order

    Hello Gurus,
    I have a problem in Sales Order (VA01 & VA02). The issue is as follows.
    We have created a material called “FREIGHT” to calculate the Shipping & Handling cost in a Sales Order. This material has no ATP CHECK, so the Material Av. Date (MAD) is determined as immediate or the current date.
    But the business process we want to implement is, the FREIGHT material should not be delivered separately, but should be grouped with one the line items in the sales order which has the earliest material available date and copy the corresponding dates to FREIGHT line item and delivery grouping should be done.
    1. Say 1st line item is a BOM Material, next item is a standalone material (Non-BOM), and 3rd item is FREIGHT material.

    10     BOM (Parent)     1    1   x-date   09/11/2006    x-date

    I know the above example may not be that clear, but this is the space available when you post your topic.
    Based on the above example, the earliest material available date is for Line item 20 i.e. 09/06/2006 and assume FREIGHT is also tied to the above line item (20) i.e. line item 20 & 30 are delivery grouped.
    Say if I delete line item 20, now FREIGHT should be tied to line item 10 and delivery grouping should also take place get changed to 1 for FREIGHT item.
    I need to achieve this using user-exits, but HOW?

    Hi Suresh,
    I guess you can accomplish this using SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE in MV45AFZZ. In table xvbap you will find all order items with an update indicator. If an item has indicator 'D' (deleted) and field GRKOR (delivery group) filled you should find the corresponding FREIGHT line having the same value for GRKOR. Then find the remaining non-FREIGHT item with the earliest material availability date and set the value of GRKOR for this item to the same value as the FREIGHT item.

    After stock quantity has been updated, we’d like to perform ATP check and update schedule lines for sales documents which have not been delivered yet.
    Is BAPI_SALESDOCUMENT_CHANGE useful to do so?
    If so which fields should I set ‘X’?
    At the moment, I called BATCH INPUT and execute ATP check.
    But I'm wondering if this is not a smart way.

      one way of achieving your requirements is
    after creating the sales order you can execute the SALEs order MRP using MD50 transaction enter the order # and MRP control parameters 1,3,1,2. and execute.
    Ensure the following before MRP.
    1. All the master data are maintained for the schedule line creation for the components ( Source list, Scheduling agreements)
    2. Material master with valid MRP data.strategy group having MTO strategy.
    after sales order MRP you will get the schedule line created for the components
    also MRp will create the cpacity requirements as we run the MRP with Lead time scheduling.

    May I how to alter the status of Sale Order from 'Entered' to 'Awaiting for Approval' when the sale order was booked.After approval only it needs to change into 'BOOKED'.

    2) Booking the Sale Order Awaiting For Approval

    Apparently, your Sales Order Type has Approval Workflow associated. Have the approver approve it from the Notifications window. Alternatively have a script to approve the workflow with userid as the approver's, in order for approval and booking.
    In case of forced Booking, use OE_ORDER_PUB.PROCESS_ORDER API to pass the Order Details along with BOOKED_FLAG='Y' and FLOW_STATUS_CODE='BOOKED'.
