    OS: Linus 64bit
    DatabaseB: 11.2.0.1

    Hi Kalyan,
    Thanks for the reply, i tried to clean up cache and tmp directory on all the Managed server and bounce the middleware along with nodemanager but i still have the same error.
    Could you let me know what all steps are required for upgrading 10.3.5 to 10.3.6?

  • Which patch # to migrate Weblogic from 10.3.5 to 10.3.6

    Hi All,
           I will have to migrate Weblogic from 10.3.5 to 10.3.6. My SO is Linux RH5 64 bits, and searching for the patches I've found the following patches :
    Patch 13529653: PLACEHOLDER BUG FOR WEBLOGIC SERVER 11GR1 (10.3.6) UPGRADE INSTALLER (Linux x86)
    Patch 13529623: PLACEHOLDER BUG FOR WEBLOGIC SERVER 11GR1 (10.3.6) UPGRADE INSTALLER (Generic Platform American English)
        Which patch # have you guys used to migrate ? I did not find any patch to Linux 64 bits with the description "WEBLOGIC SERVER 11GR1 (10.3.6) UPGRADE INSTALLER"
    Thanks,

    Hi again...
        I've got to find a patch, but is was the following :
    Patch 13529623: PLACEHOLDER BUG FOR WEBLOGIC SERVER 11GR1 (10.3.6) UPGRADE INSTALLER (Generic Platform American English)
        So, I can presume that there is no specfic patch upgrade to Linux x86-64.
    Thanks

  • Depoying web service in oracle weblogic from jdeveloper 10.

    hi , i implement a web service and i deploy it in oracle weblogic from Jdeveloper 10.
    but when testing this web service, it evaluates them as null.
    and the wsdl in jdevelpor has 8888 not 7001.
    please someone help me.
    thank you
    aymen

    Put the jar file at $FND_TOP/java/3rdparty/standalone and add that jar file entry in jserv.properties. That should do the work for you.

    I did not touch any jars. They should be in their place. What I see from the project properties is that JSF 1.2 libraries are attached as before..
    Any idea? I am stuck.
    Do anyone have any idea about this matter? I really don't know where to look at.

  • Opening a jsp from another server(Weblogic) from webdynpro running on WAS

    hi,
      I have an application deployed on weblogic and want that when i click on a link in webdynpro it should open my jsp page in a new window and i should be able to send some values to it also.
      there is one way i know of, that is like this:-
    IWDWindow newwindow = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createExternalWindow("https://.../login?userid="userid"&pass="+pass,"header",false);
    newwindow.open();
    but in this case we are sending the parameters from URL like login id and password. I donot want to do that as the user can see this info on the browser. Is there any way in which i can send this user id and password to a jsp page/servlet without "url?..."
    thanks
    I mean i want it to act as a form submit or something like in servlets and jsp's

    Hi Venkat:
       There are couple of ways to achieve this:
    One of them are Pamita's approach, get details from her that how did she fixed the UserID\PassWd.
    The other best approach is use the AppIntegrator for the same, you can call any other web-applications into your own application. For AppIntg we create a system, where we can specify the UserID\PassWds too which is transparent to user.
    Hope this helps you.
    Thanks,
    Munna SAP.

  • Error while trying to connect to weblogic from remote client

    Hi
    I was trying to connect to JMX MBeanserver from a aremote client using some sample code that was posted. Ive tried even the samples that I found in the Admin Guide itself. Im not certain if any server configuration is needed. Ive tried the below with all three protocols t3, iiop, http with the same result. I had also enabled IIOP on the server through the console.
    I get an error when trying to conenct using the JMXConnection Factory i.e. at the last line of the following code:

  • Unable to connect to WebLogic from JBuilder 11.1.1.4

    Hi,
    Just spent a few hours fuming over this, then solved it, thought I'd share it to hopefully save pain and hopefully someone will fix it!
    1. Created a SOA/BPM app in JBuilder
    2. Got to the point where I want to map BPM swim lane roles to WebLogic users
    3. Created a WebLogic Server IDE Connection as instructed and attempted to point it to localhost:7001 mydomain weblogic/Passw0rd etc.
    4. When I get to the test stage, it keeps failing saying "0 of 0 tests ran"
    5. After much searching discovered that you need BOTH admin AND managed server started to do this with a SOA app from JBuilder
    6. Still didn't fix it, grrr.
    7. Eventually realised it's missing libraries...
    11.1.1.4 install puts all the WebLogic libraries here: <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/wlserver/server/lib/...
    8. Solution:
    copy weblogic.jar from location in (7) to a newly created directory: <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/wlserver_10.3/server/lib/... (notice the addition of '_10.3')
    9. Works a now, "9 of 9 tests" pass.

    Any specific messages you see while opening the Application library..any error messages? Can you check the EPMA.log file?
    Also check if there are any issues on the database front, limited database size maybe?
    Do let us know the updates.

    I've tried removing the "EmbeddedLDAP.lok" file, but without luck.

    Which version of your eclipse? I am using eclipse 3.0 and I am able to start weblogic 8.1 from eclipse.
    I did the following steps:
    1.create a new domain through weblogic's configuration wizard --> basic weblogic server domain --> Express --> proive the user name and password --> development mode, and sun sdk (or other jdk) --> your new domain name
    2. configure weblogic setting in eclipse: preferences --> weblogic --> 8.1, C:\bea\weblogic81, your newly created domain name --> C:\bea\user_projects\domains (domain directory) --> myserver --> admin (or your user name) --> password --> localhost --> 7001
    after that, you should be able to click on "start weblogic server" button from toolbar.
    Hope my two cents solve your problem.

  • Referencing Shared Java EE Libs in Weblogic from WAR inside EAR

    We have a number of applications that need to reference to both Oracle and our own Shared Java EE Libraries on WebLogic. They are structured as folows:
    Our own shared library, "framework", is packaged as a JAR inside an EAR, along with all non-Oracle, third-party libraries (JAR:s) and deployed as a shared library in WebLogic. This is it's manifest:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Created-By: Apache Maven 3.0.4
    Built-By: lajokon
    Build-Jdk: 1.7.0_07
    Implementation-Vendor: <organization>
    Implementation-Title: Framework Lib
    Implementation-Version: 15.0.2
    Implementation-Vendor-Id: org
    Specification-Vendor: <organization>
    Specification-Title: Framework Lib
    Specification-Version: 15.0.2
    Extension-Name: framework-lib
    All JAR:s are in APP-INF/lib
    The applications are each packaged in a WAR inside its own EAR. The WAR weblogic.xml:
    <wls:weblogic-web-app>
    <wls:weblogic-version>10.3.6</wls:weblogic-version>
    <wls:context-root>app-name</wls:context-root>
    <wls:library-ref>

    <wls:exact-match>false</wls:exact-match>
    </wls:library-ref>
    </wls:weblogic-web-app>
    The EAR application.xml:
    <application>
    <display-name>app-name</display-name>
    <module>
    <web>
    <web-uri>app-name.war</web-uri>
    <context-root>/app-name</context-root>
    </web>
    </module>
    </application>
    The EAR weblogic-application.xml:
    <weblogic-application>
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>adf.oracle.domain</library-name>
    <specification-version>1.0</specification-version>
    <exact-match>false</exact-match>
    </library-ref>
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>coherence</library-name>
    <specification-version>3.7</specification-version>
    <exact-match>false</exact-match>
    </library-ref>
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>framework-lib</library-name>
    <specification-version>15.0</specification-version>
    <exact-match>false</exact-match>
    </library-ref>
    </weblogic-application>
    All libraries are deployed by default or deploy correctly in WL. As does the application EAR.
    But, when I access the application i get runtime errors saying it can't load resources located in the WAR:s WEB-INF/classes dir!?
    However, I can see, from log output, that it loads resources from the Framework EAR. Why does WL not seem to care about the contents of my WAR?

    If I use the Admin Server Console to view the shared library, I can see ecif-ear(1.0,1.0) in the Deployments list. Its State is shown as "Active", Type is "Library", Deployment Order is 100.
    I deployed the shared library using the Admin Server Console but deployed the referencing application using WorkShop for WebLogic Platform by Run As -> Run on Server. The Eclipse error log shows the following Exception Stack Trace:

  • How to do debugging in WebLogic from JDeveloper

    Hi All,
    We in our project are just starting to use JDeveloper instead of Visual Cafe with Weblogic as App. Server. However i am facing this problem while debugging an EJB deployed from JDeveloper 9i to Weblogic 6.1.
    On Clicking Debug|Debug <Project-name> brings up a dialog. After leaving the address field blank(Weblogic running on localhost, and as per your documentation, localhost is default) and port as 5000 (transport_dt_socket set as 5000), the following message comes:
    Debugger attempting to connect to remote process at LocalHost 5000.And it doesn't do anything more.
    Awaiting for your reply on this.
    regards,
    Hiamnshu

    Hi,
    The most important thing is that you need to ensure that WebLogic is start the Java command with debugging options. This is in the JDev documentation in the topic "Starting a Java Process in Debug Mode".
    If you have JSP's and servlets you have other steps as well. I have included the generic steps for any application server. We have plans to post a 'How to remote debug JSP's deployed on Weblogic' in the near future. Keep posted.
    1. You need to replace WebLogic's JSP engine with OJSP and you need to
    setup debugging parameters for OJSP. This is not specifically in the JDev documentation, but you may be able to apply the information found in the topic "Remote Debugging in OC4J".
    Here are some tips:
    A. You'll probably need to specify the following jars in some WebLogic config file. The jar files are all located in <jdev_install>/lib/
    xmlparserv2.jar
    ojc.jar
    jdev-rt.jar
    ojsp.jar
    ojsputil.jar
    B. Add these jar files to the VM's classpath
    C. The OJSP class name is oracle.jsp.runtimev2.JspServlet. You will need to specify this class where you configure your JSP engine information.
    D. You need to pass the following debug parameters. Again this is set up in the app server configuration file(s):

  • Monitoring Weblogic from HP Open View...

    Has anyone successfully configured Weblogic SNMP Agent to
    forward traps to HP Open View NNM?
    I am trying to setup Weblogic to do just that, and haven't had
    much luck so far.
    I successfully loaded BEA-WEBLOGIC-MIB.asn1 MIB into OV, and
    configured Weblogic SNMP Agent to have port 161 and Community
    "public". I tried to configure 'SNMP Trap Destination' from WL console to point
    to the Open View's ip address. But the information I miss is Open View's port
    number.
    Does anyone know what the port number is OV is using?
    Both OV and Weblogic are running on the same machine. I read
    OV manual, and this wouldn't be a problem. Anybody has the same
    setup and successfully sends traps to OV from WL?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    ato.

    Thanks for the info about HP VPO. Wonder why is it a better solution than OpenView.
    We just bought OV (for another project),
    so we want to find out if it can also be used to monitor WL as well.
    I had no problem sending SNMP messages to WL but HP OpenView
    couldn't receive traps from WL (eventhough the log indicates that
    WL does send the traps to HP OpenView).
    Does Anybody have any success in having WL sending traps to
    any manager stations at all?
    Thanks in advance,
    a.

    A better solution is to use the HP VPO plug in for Weblogic - this integrates
    HP with WLS and has pre configured alerts for detecting healthy / unhealthy
    weblogic,
    starting/stopping WLS etc.
    BEA should watch this group more closley and have made this suggestion
    - HP are
    one of the partners....

  • Clustering weblogic from a common storage box.

              Hi All,
              Please some one help me out setting up a weblogic cluster. We have a requisition
              as fallows:
              Weblogic server needed to be setup in a common storage external box. Then this
              server has to be cluster from two machines. Here I am confused, wether is it possible
              to create a cluster of two servers instances from two machines(using the common
              storage box, where I am going to install weblogic). If this is possible then how

              Hi Robert,
              Thank you very much for the reply.. But I have few doubts regarding the clustering
              of weblogic. Please help me.
              1. Does the document meant (maintaining common file system for the weblogic properties
              files) the installing of weblogic server setup in the common file system or only
              maintaining the common directory for the weblogic for all the clustered servers?
              If the later understanding is correct then does it required all the weblogic servers
              needed to be installed at their various machines to run. In this case how these
              servers are going to make use of the properties file in the common file system(I
              mean does we need to mention the paths any where)?
              2. Can you please help me out in figuring out few draw backs of the common file
              system other than single point failure of all the weblogic servers in the cluster?
              Thanks and regards,
