in 2011 I buyed the Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard (Student Edition). Is it possible to uprage this version including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, to CS6 Student Edition with the these programs?

Student edition software is already at a discounted price and not eleigible for an upgrade.
You can though buy a new student version of CS6 software.

The file archive part of Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium. Please download all parts" appears. Using Window 8. This happens on the Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6 installer file.

LiveCycle Designer included as part of CS6 Design Standard?

I can't recall whether Acrobat X or Acrobat XI is installed with CS6 Design Standard. If Acrobat X Pro, it is installed. If Acrobat XI Pro, it's not installed and is a separate purchase.

I deactivated my student edition of CS6 Design and Web Premium, go to activate it on my new computer and serial code is invalid.

I downloaded the design and web premium, and entered a serial code to start it as the full version. However, after the install, it asked me for my serial code again. I entered it, and it didn't work. I tried registering my serial code on the adobe site, and it says it's invalid. My school gave it to me last year and it worked fine on my old computer. In that time, creative cloud came out and trials stopped being available as they were before. How I got it before was installing the trial, then activating it with my code. I have a PC and am running windows 7. My laptop is old and really just not up for the games I play or designing anymore, so I built a desktop. Successfully deactivated it, why can't I get it on my new computer? I am able to open the software as a trial, but I want to activate it. The error message I get in-program is "this serial number is not valid for adobe indesign/photoshop/illustrator CC 2014." Any suggestions?

if you're being asked for two serial numbers, you're probably using an upgrade serial number at the first prompt and the second prompt is probably for the serial number of a previous version.

How do I install CS6:Design Standard onto my iMac? I already had it on my MacBook Pro and should get 2 downloads with the student version?

I bought the student version of CS6 Design standard 3 years ago and installed it on my MacBook Pro. I now just purchased an iMac and would like to download it onto this as well. I should be able to download it onto two computers from what I understand, but when I insert the disk for download, there is no install.app on the disk any longer. I only see set-up.exe (which is for windows). How can I get the programs downloaded onto my iMac?

a) Edu versions can only be upgraded to commercial versions, but you missed the CS4 upgrade deadline which eneded December last year.

You simply buy the normal commercial upgrade. and make sure you select the correct previous product during checkout.

I think that you'll need to get in touch with support to sort this out.
But you could check your order to see if you ordered and upgrade or a new purchase. The serial numbers for upgrade are different, and require the earlier version on your computer ( or its serial number instead).
If you've oredered an upgrade, check that you're entering the correct serial number. You'll probably be prompted to enter both: once for qualifying product and once for the new upgrade.
Let us know if this was the issue. If not, I suggest that you get in touch with Adobe Support.

I want to upgrade from CS5.5 Design and web premium to CS6 standard. There are several programs like Dreamweaver that are not in CS6 standard. If i upgrade will i be able to keep the CS5.5 versions of programs that are not in the upgrade?

Yes, you can upgrade S&T editions by buying a commercial upgrade. Just make sure to pick the correct previous version during check-out or you'll get a serial number snafu...

There are no upgrades for S&T editions other than going commercial. If you are still a student you simply buy a new Mac license.

Upgrade to CS6 Design Standard problems

I bought CS5 Design Standard on March 30, 2012 so I applied for the free upgrade to CS under the "Claim your complimentary CS6 Upgrade" program (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/upgrade-policy-produ ct-announcement1.html). I got an e-mail saying I was approved. Under "My Adobe", it showed a receipt for the free upgrade with an order #. There is a link on the receipt page to download the upgrade but when I click on the link it said I have no download. I contacted cutomer service a couple of times (phone and chat) and finally I got an e-mail with a serial number for CS6 Design Standard and it said to click on the download link on the receipt. But now the receipt that was there is gone and I can't download anything. I contacted customer service again (chat) and they said it should be up in 24 hours. It's been a week now and I contacted them again (response to open support ticket) and no answer now. I thought I would download the free trial and use the serial number I got but I can only find a download for CS6 Design Premium, not Standard. SO, where can I get a download for CS6 Design Standard or an upgrade to the same from CS5?? I have a serial number from Adobe but no place the download the program.
I went ahead and registered the CS6 serial number I got from the [email protected] e-mail and now it shows up as a registered product. It shows:
ADOBE DESIGN STANDARD 6 Win June 30, 2012
with the serial number underneath.
I looked around to see if a download link would show up now, but I still can't find anything. Any ideas?

What is wrong with Adobe that they do not address this situation. I work in a town that has a major design school and the students (who can't afford CC) are all out of luck running CS6 on the recent (Feb 1) update to Yosemite.
The whole Adobe community should be pressing them on this situation...as well as Apple. Don't these companies converse!

I bought years ago CS6 - Design Standard and an expensive MLP New Upgrade Plan in order to upgrade the software after. Can I upgrade to CC, or I simply lost my money?

In the same ocasion, I bought a MLP New Upgrade Plan, wich were very expensive, but gave me the wright to upgrade my CS6-Design Standart for new versions within two years. I thoght I made good business, buying an Upgrade Plan that allowed me to have further versions of my software for two years without adicional purchase. What happens is that I can't find a way to upgrade my CS6-Design Standard Suite to a CC Suite. Did I simply threw my money away purchasing the MLP New Upgrade Plan, wich never alowwed me to do any upgrade, or is there a way, fairly, to use my Upgrade Plan that is almost expiring to have access to Creative Cloud?

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar

CS6 Design Standard upgrade serial not recognized

I just recently purchased upgrades for three Adobe CS5 Design Standard to CS6 Design Standard and when I try to apply the upgrade serials it says the serials are not recognized as valid. I downloaded CS6 from the link in my order, installed, and tried to apply the license and it will not work. Is there something that I'm missing in the process?
