Upgrade to ECC6 & Unicode: IE Web Browser Issues?

Has anyone experienced web browser issues at display time? We are on IE7. We are now using the internal ITS. Our carriage returns are totally being ignored by the browser. Thus, we have a dropdown box to pick one of the businesses multiple partners, and because the HTML is not formatted correctly in the browser, the dropdown doesn't work, and we get an "array not created" error messsage in IE7.
I know that there are options in the IE 7 browser under the menu item "view". I've tried changing these to some different Unicode settings, but without luck.
Has anybody some experience with this issue?
    Thank-You

  • Safari web browser issue in 4.3

Prior to 4.3 on an original ipad I had no issues with accessing my companys web site applications. after purchesing an IPAD 2 I can no longer access the online apps. I get an error "Safari cannot open the page because the network connection was lost" I'm not sure what is going on, my original Ipad which i've not yet upgraded is running 4.2 had no issues running the online apps. I've matched all setting and still no change. is there a bug with 4.3 connecting to or through secure networks.

The only other suggestion that I can provide is to reset Safari. It may be worth a try.
Tap Settings, then tap Safari on the left side. Then on the  right side - tap clear history, clear cookies, clear cache. Clear all three.Reboot your iPad. Hold down on the sleep button at the top until the red slider appears and slide to power off. Then hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and the iPad will restart. Launch Safari and see if helped.
If you are still experiencing issues you may want to check with your company's IT people to see if they can offer a solution.

  • Odd web browsing issues

I recently got a new iMac G5. While I love the computer in most aspects, surfing the web has posed some weird issues. whatever browser (the big 3 seem to be having the same problems) a webpage may not fully load, or it won't load at all. For example, I'll try to post an image up on my Sheezyart page, i can go through most of the pages required to set up the upload of the image file but when I click submit on the final page, the browser will sit there and wait for sheezyart to respond. I can log into yahoo mail just fine but I can pretty much forget about hotmail. heck, right now my browser window says "waiting for images.apple.com" in the lower left corner. I know it's not the websites since I can access them just fine off my room mate's comp. It's not the network since other web apps work just fine (warcraft.) I've gone into the system preferences and, as far as I can tell, the firewall isn't even on.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss and getting frustrated

  • Internal Web Browser Issue

We are working on our first digital publication and are having some issues with the internal browser.
It appears to break web pages into strips see here:
We have tried various sites using the same internal browser and they all break the same (on both iPad and iPad2).
The same sites work fine with the standard Safari.
Does anyone else a have any issues?

    Bob -
This has been happening since way back to the early drops last year. It occurs in Apps as well as Content Viewer - it is not consistent across all web sites, only certain sites - and djbtc is right in that the problem does not occur if you launch the same web site directly in Safari.
It also happens on both iPad 1 and 2.
Here are a couple recent examples with URL

  • 8830 Web Browser Issues

The last few days I have not been able to access any web pages on my 8830.  I get the same message "A problem occurred while trying to render the page" every time.   Has anyone had this issue??  If so is it a setting issue with my Blackberry or with my provider?  I'm with Telus.
Any and all info would help. Thanks.

I started getting this error message while trying to use the browser this weekend. Every WEB page I've tried to access results in this error.  I've done numerous battery pulls, I've set my start page to Bookmarks page, I've cleared the content cache many times, I've done what was suggested in the quote below:
    Quote:
Open up your browser and hit the menu button. You will see Browser Config option. Select that and when in there, hit menu again and you will see the reset to default option. Do that and restart your phone. See if that fixes your problem. Unquote
I've resent my service books. My emulation mode is set to Blackberry. I've gone back to the Browser config that I had before the problem started. The problem continues!
Ended up calling Verizon, who transferred me to a Blackberry rep. The only way we could fix it was to download the software again. But it works now!! "
This is what apparently solved the problem for another person. I hesitate to call Sprint Customer Support. If I have to I'll demand a Supervisor transfer me to a BlackBerry rep. I think I'd rather try emailing Blackberry 1st rather than using phone contact.
I'll entertain all suggestions from members here though, hoping someone has the needed answer.
My OS is 4.2.2.196.  Thanks for your kind help & prompt response.

  • Web Browser issues on OS X

Hola from Panama Apple Genuis'. Please could you help me with my incredibly frustrating problem, made even more frustrating as I'm far from a Apple store and in the midst of travelling centroamericano.
    I am running a mid-2012 Macbook air Memory 4GB, OS X 10.6.8 and Safari 6.0.3
I have been getting many prompts to update my system to Maverick, however this requires 4.2somethingGB, obviously beyond the reach of my slim line friend. With this is the promise of Safari 7, possibly the answer to my underlying issue; i cannot connect to Facebook. I understand this issue has arisen since only July 1st and has been widespread, but without proper detailing as to what to do when in my particular quandry.
Yes, I have deleted the cookies of Facebook and indeed all websites from the safari I have, and tried to download a more recent version that isn't 7, but without fruition. I also have attempted to download Google Chrome like my good old PC days, however turns out I must have a curse on my profile there too, as after just 1 hour of use the 'aw snap!' message appeared for not just facebook, but the entire internet. So great. Mozilla firefox is too big for my laptop to hold and obviously downloading to an external hardrive would defeat the object of having such a travel-friendly laptop.
Please, please give me the magic answer I need to get facebook working once more on safari.
Thanks in advance, any help or suggestions are very welcome.

The mid-2012 MBA came with 10.7.4 installed, not Snow Leopard. Either you are mistaken about what OS you have or your don't have a 2012 MBA. Apparently, you have way to much stuff on the SSD if you can't find space for FireFox. Perhaps you need to rethink your use of the SSD and the external drive and put more stuff on the external drive. You have more than enough RAM to upgrade. The minimum requirement for Mavericks is 2 GBs.
I would consider backing up the internal drive, erasing it and reinstalling OS X, then put only the minimum required files on it and put the rest on an external drive. You need to maintain at least 20 GBs or 10% of the SSD's capacity, whichever is greater.

When using the onscreen keyboard to fill in text fields on websites (I notice when doing Google searches) after the first couple of characters, the text disappears from your screen. You retype it again and press enter and the text field on the website remains blank.
I've had to fill in some fields twice before the text has actually entered correctly

Yeah, I've seen some funky behaviour like that..
Most obvious and relevant is this forum.. entering text into the post field (ie where I'm actually typing at the moment) is fine using the physical keyboard, but using the virtual keyboard is a bit hit and miss..
For starters, tapping in the text box to open the keyboard does not show any previously entered text
I believe this is an artifact of the way the virtual keyboard works.. it seems to be a bit like this (on a pc)
open note pad == open virtual keyboard
display current text == copy current text from browser into notepad
finish editing == copy text from notepad into browser
ie when you finish editing, the new text is dumped in one go into the text box.. like paste dumps text in one go..
This means it doesn't gel with active webpages that react to key presses and do things depending on text in text boxes (like google displays suggestions)
It seems a very difficult thing to solve, if the keyboard is not "real" time.. as the n900 virtual keyboard isn't..

  • Text not fit to size when deploy in web browser when upgrade to 10g

    Hi,
    I 'm currently evaluating the form upgrade from 6i to 10g (10.1.2).
The text on the boilerplate was fit to size in the form builder 10g , however after compilation of the upgraded form and deploy to web browser, those text item close to the field get truncated.
Moreover, the spacing of the LOV is increased in the web and it need to scroll down view all items.
Is there any configuration can be changed to revert back to 6i , otherwise it may required to patch on the text position again.
    Cheers,
    Ana

    Hello,
I think that it is just a problem of difference between the Forms Builder font and the Java web corresponding font.
Have a look at the <FORMS_HOME>/formsxx/java/oracle/forms/registry/registry.dat file.

  • Report Not working in the Web Browser

    Hi ALL ,
Am working on a item SKU report . The report is running fine in the BIDS but once i try to view the report in the WEB Browser
tried both Mozilla and Internet Explorer no data is shows up .
The report has 2 report filter one is on the service and the other one is the item sku its a multi - parameter  that contains
a list of more than 6000 different SKU . Can the filter be the reason for the report not displaying in the web browser.
If yes kindly advice me what the workaround for it .
I tried having the filter in the  SQL main query but it was of no use no data it was showing after having the ssrs report filter
at least right information its showing but in the BIDS not in the main web browser.
    Kindly Help
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
According to the description, I understand that there are parameters (@SKU and @SKUlist) in the report, and SKUlist parameter is multi-value parameter. When selecting values of the SKU parameter, the parameter SKUlist will display corresponding values. In this
case, you should create cascading parameters, right? And you use parameters to filter the report.
Because the data of the report can be shown in the Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) environment, the issue only occurs after deploying the report to report server. Based on my research, I think it may occur because of web browser issue. I have
known you use Mozilla and Internet Explorer to view the report but there is still no data.
In Reporting Services, not all report functionality is supported by all browsers. In this scenario, I suggest you considering the aspects of the setting or third party add-ons of Internet Explorer (IE). You can refer to the steps below:
    1. Click Tools -> Internet options.
    2. Switch to the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then select Default level.
    3. Switch to the Advanced tab, and click Restore advanced settings.
    4. Temporarily disable third party add-ons. For detailed steps, please see the link:

  • PDF will not save via Save Icon on Web Browser (All), but will save using Print option. How can I resolve this issue?

    Good morning all!
I am trying to publish a fillable form to a website for users to fill out. The trouble is that I myself can fill out the form when I click the link, and save it using the disc icon. However when I have other users click it, they can fill out the form on the PDF in the internet browser, but cannot save it using the disc icon that pops up on the bottom right hand corner. I discovered that if I Save As Adobe PDF, it will save my information. When I try using the disc icon to save a physical copy, the information is completely missing from the field in the PDF, as if I never filled it out before.
Since other users of all walks are going to be using it, I can't exactly give explicit instructions on how to use the work around for this, since it's intuitive to click the disc icon. Can anyone offer help regarding this issue?
    Some other pieces of information:
I am using the Save as Other -> Reader Extended PDF -> Enable More Tools (Includes form fill-in and save), yet users cannot save the information typed in on the web browser PDF form.
Thank you for your time and help.

    https://gsbs.uth.edu/dotAsset/93e2c3b0-ca8d-4335-b053-c608eb79def0.pdf
    Thanks for your reply.
We're using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.10 (Latest update)
This looks to be the only PDF with the issue on fillable forms, but we have not yet posted any others with this issue.
From that link, you can fill out the form, but when you click the pop up Disc icon on the bottom right, it does not save your typed in information. This happens on Firefox, Chrome, and IE. However when you click the print icon and Print as PDF, it saves the information you typed in.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Issues showing PDF files in web-browser (Windows 7 x64, 32-bit version of AdobeReader X)

I'm not sure if this is the right way to share my experience, but at least I know Google will discover this thread eventually and maybe someone else will find what I have been looking for the past 3 hours
I'm deploying the 32-bit based AdobeReader X (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4950) to Windows7 32-bit and 64-bit based machines. This is a MSI deployement done through our Active Directory. Everything goes well - no errors. Except for the x64-based machines having trouble showing PDF-files in the web-browser.
I used Adobe Customization Wizard X to customize our MSI installation - this showed out to be the solution once again.
Common for the installation on Windows7 32-/64-bit were that the value in the registry database for HKCR\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe (Default) was set to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe". This is valid for the 32-bit installation as Program Files is situated in C:\Program Files, but since it's a 32-bit edition of AdobeReader that I'm installing on the 64-bit based system as well, it's installed in C:\Program Files (x86) and the reference in the registry database to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" is therefore not valid - which explains why PDF files could not be displayed in the web browser. Changing the registry to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" solved it. Now this is a manual solution which might be useful on 1-2 machines but on a bigger scale it's not the right way to do it.
I could change it with a batch/vbs script but still this is only a solution of the symptom and not a solution to the core issue. I therefore focused on Adobe Customization Wizard X again.
The problem was easily solved. I opened the MSI file, loaded the transform file that I've made previously. Went to Registry > HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe . I then changed the (Default) value from "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" to "[INSTALLDIR]Reader\AcroRd32.exe", generated the MST file and replaced my current one for distribution. Problem solved! :-) The entry in the registry now shows : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" and PDF files are open without any issues.
I hope someone can save a bit of time on this one.
    Best regards!
    Alex Mikkelsen

I was able install and view the files in adobe reader 10.1.1 and in web browser window 7 64 bit machine.  But when I go to Edit-preferences-internet and  unchecking "display PDF in Browser" , I am not able to view the pdf files in ie 9 browser.  I have used this javscript to check for pdf version.
    Immediately after installing adobe--
when I do adobe test in ie 9---https://courses.worldcampus.psu.edu/public/diagnostics/Acrobat.html--  launches a test pdf file--Acro_Test.pdf
After unchecking-- it stays in the  https://courses.worldcampus.psu.edu/public/diagnostics/Acrobat.html instead of showing test pdf file--Acro_Test.pdf
Tried to go back to "display PDF in Browser"--it is showing it is checked(eventhough I did not check it)
    and in ie
it stays in the https://courses.worldcampus.psu.edu/public/diagnostics/Acrobat.html instead of showing test pdf file--Acro_Test.pdf

  • Issue with opening pdf file from web browser

I have Acrobat Pro ver 6 and Adobe Reader 9.1 on a computer.  when my user tries to open up a pdf from the web he is getting the following error message:
"The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a WEb Browser.  Adbe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required.  Please exit and try again."
What also happens is that Acrobat Pro ver 6 opens up and nothing is there.
I am not sure why he is getting that message since Reader 9.1 is installed.
Can any one shed some light on this for me.
This user needs to have Acrobat and Reader on his system.  I understand that there are issues with having both.
Also he has it set up so that any PDF is opening using the Reader 9.1.
    Thanks,

Your PC's default reader configuration for embedded PDFs has become confused, due to multiple Adobe PDF document solutions installed on one PC.
    Solution 1:
    Go to Start > Run
    Type regedit and click OK.
Browse to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe
Make sure that the correct Default data value is set for the path where Adobe Reader or Acrobat are installed.
    The default installation values are:
    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe"
    or
"C:\Program Files\adobe\acrobat 6.0\acrobat\Acrobat.exe" (not sure about this path.  Check on your PC to be sure)
depending on whether Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat is installed.
    Solution 2:
Configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application.
If you are using Firefox to browse the web, you can change this setting in Firefox by going to:
    Tools > Options
    Click on the "Applications" Tab.
The first item in the list should be "Adobe Acrobat Document".  Under the Action list, click the drop down arrow and select the application you want to read PDFs within the web browser.  Click OK, and you should be done.
If you're using Internet Explorer to view PDFs, try the below steps.
After you configure Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application, the browser starts the helper application in a separate window and displays PDF files within that window. Acrobat and Adobe Reader both include a preference that lets you specify Acrobat or Adobe Reader as the helper application.
To configure Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application:
    Start Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
    Choose Edit > Preferences.
    Select Internet on the left.
Deselect Display PDF In Browser Using [Acrobat application], and then click OK.
    Quit Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
The next time you select a link to a PDF file in the browser, a dialog box asks what you would like to do with the file. If you select Open It, the browser opens the PDF file in Acrobat or Adobe Reader (the helper application); if you select Save It To Disk, the browser saves the PDF file to your hard drive.
