Uploading Image in webdynpro View.

hi,
I am new in Webdynpro Java. I want to upload image ( for ex. A company Logo).
Any inputs how to proceed for that ?
Thanks in advance.

-> Store the images in the MIME Directory.
-> Declare a simple type data type in the Java Dictionary.
->Give values and description in the enumeration type.
-> Declare a value attribute of Simple type in View Controller.
-> Add a image UI Element and bind it  with two attributes(Ctx1 and Ctx2).
Use the code below to get the name of image and further set it :
String vehicleType = wdThis.wdGetContext().currentContextElement().getCtx1();
wdThis.wdGetContext().currentContextElement().setCtx2(vehicleType+ ".jpg");
Thanx.

    How do you display a new image in  webdynpro view?
    Where is the image stored and how do we specify the image path?

    hi ,
    The UI element Image enables you to integrate graphics into the Web application in a format that is processed by the Web Server u2013 for example, GIF, JPG, and PNG format. Height and width of the graphic can be specified using the properties height and width. The graphic is displayed without borders.
    saveur image   as mime
    with Mime Objects u cn upload doc , jpeg, or giff files from our local system into the webdypnpro system .
    Right click on ur component->mime object->import
    In the transaction sicf/bc/webdynpro , u cn check your component name there you can view the mime objects created by you .

    by using this i need to show image in view..

    Thankas in Advance
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi,
    byte[] img = wdContext.nodeYywwwdata_Import_Input().nodeOutput().nodeOutMime().currentOutMimeElement().getLine();
    use this code to create resource and you need to set this value to the context created to display the image suppose in the image UI and set the source property with this attribute:-
    IWDResource res=WDResourceFactory.createCachedResource(b,"MyImage",WDWebResourceType.JPG_IMAGE);
    IPrivateAppView.IVn_ImageTabElement imageEle=wdContext.createVn_ImageTabElement();
           imageEle .setVa_Name(res.toString());
    wdContext.nodeVn_ImageTab().addElement(imageEle);
    Hope this may help you.

  • How to upload images on WebDynpro(ABAP) screens

    Hello All,
    Could any one please help on how to create/change the image (jpeg/any file) dynamically on WebDynpro screen. I have seen couple of examples for uploading the text files in WDR_TEST_EVENTS, WDR_TEST_WEB_ICONS, but not found any standard program that explains about uploading images.
    Requirement: User has to select any image/thumbnail from local PC and it should be displayed on main screen, it's not only from MIME directory.
    We have the same logic in BSP Application (CFX_RFC_UI) to upload the thumbnail but am not sure whether we can use the same logic in WDC or not?
    I have seen the same logic for WebDynpro (JAVA) here:

    I would really appreciate if you could provide me the code/process ASAP.

  • Picture Library : upload image with same name overwrite the image in thumbmail or WebVersion view but not the actual image link points to the old image

    Hello,
    I am facing a wired issue with Picture Libraries in SharePoint.
    We created a custom field and added it to UserInfo list, the column based on custom field lets user upload their personal images to a Picture Library with the name <User ID>.<Image Extension> e.g. 1.jpg where UserID is internal Listitem ID of the UserInfo list and set its URL to the field value which we use to display the image on our custom user profile and some other WebParts.
    If the user uploads a different image, it will overwrite the existing one it keeping the same name.
    The field worked perfectly with sites using widows Based authentication, but as we move the field to sites with form based authentication we find that the field is able to upload the image properly first time but on each successive upload, although a new image gets uploaded with the name userid.imagextension and is shown in the allitems.aspx page in the thumbnail view and in the picture preview on the dispform.aspx page, but the link next to the name field and the image shown on clicking the preview points to the old image.
    To put it other way
    https://<Web URL>/Picture%20Library/_w/Upload_jpg.jpg
    https://<Web Url>/Picture%20Library/_t/Upload_jpg.jpg
    Would show the updated image
    but the actual URL
    https://<Web Url>/Picture%20Library/Upload.jpg
    points to the old image
    what’s even more strange is that even after deleting the image the url still shows the old image at
    https://<Web Url>/Picture%20Library/Upload.jpg
    I confirmed the same by actually repeating the same exercise on a picture Library in the User Interface
    Uploading an image say upload.jpeg in the picture library using SharePoint interface.
    Then uploading a different jpeg image keeping the same name upload.jpeg again in the picture library.
    In allitems.aspx thumbnail view and on dispform.aspx page preview filed image now show the newly uploaded image but when you click the preview image or click the link in the name field value it takes you back to the old image.
    I have seen this issue on environment where we have enabled form based authentication and the issue is not seen on another server where we have wss with windows based authentication.
    Has anyone noticed such behavior and is there any workaround to that!
    Thanks & Regards
    Saurabh Rustagi

    All,
    I had the same issue.
    In my case, Blob Cache was enabled for the web application in which the image issue was occuring.
    I cleared blob cache, and after doing a hard refresh of my browser, the correct image was then displayed.
    To clear blob cache, do the following:
    Navigate to:
    http://yourwebapp:port/yoursite/_layouts/objectcachesettings.aspx
    Select:  "Object Cache Flush"  and  "Force all servers in the farm to flush their object cache" check boxes
    Click the OK button
    Hope this helps.

  • Using WEB Output HTML Gallery and uploading using ftp upload the HTML page views correctly but images only display the alt tag?

    Using WEB Output HTML Gallery and uploading using ftp upload the HTML page views correctly but images only display the alt tag in the browser window?

    After a little investigation, I discovered that PNGs also do not render correctly in IE7 in similar circumstances.
    I ended up using Levels in Photoshop to bring the output blacks up to "5", saved the images as PNGs, modified the HTML from .jpg to .png, and that seems to have covered up the problem well enough.
    By the way, I did confirm that IE8 beta 2 renders the images correctly.

  • How to upload images to a DB and then view them in the site?

    Hi
    I have a form, and i want it to insert some data on a DB, so
    that the site can display that information. But i'm not able to
    upload images or files, because dreamweaver does not have a file
    upload option.
    I'm using PHP, can anyone help me on how to upload a image
    and display it on the web site?

    > I don't think its possible to store files in a
    > database.
    It is. But it's not a great way to do things.
    > store it's path in the DB
    Actually, what you want to store in the DB is the filename
    only. Put the
    path into the HTML. That way you don't have to change every
    record when you
    rename a folder.

    You can even try creating the MIME objects in webdynrpo abap .
    Right click on ur component->mime object->import
    after importing you can see that image into your component as MIME object .Now insert a UI element image into your view layout .
    Go to the source property of IMAGE element and select F4 option , u will find a window is opening with some tabs
    Select tab COMPONENT IMAGES and component name select your component .
    You will find the image which you have imported into this section just select the image and save it.
    In the transaction sicf/bc/webdynpro , u cn check your component name there you can view the mime objects created by you .

  • Upload Images and giving an action to image

    Hi,
    I  want to upload images  and by clicking that image it must go to next view.
    Could you please suggest me some of the steps to upload image and to make an action on image.
    Regards,
    Anitha

    You can use FileUplod UI Element for uploading your photo.
    and to make image as action you can use LinkToAction UI Element and put the full image name(with file Ext) in ImageSource property of LinkToAction UI Element, after that create a action and put the required code for next level of prcessing
    use this running code for uploding you file
    String FileName = "temp;
           InputStream input = null;
           int i=0;
              FileIncreament();
              try {
                        String directory =".\\temp\\webdynpro\\web\\local\\yh1245_ftp"+
                        "\\Components\\com.yash.yh1245.Upload\\"+FileName+wdContext.currentContextElement().getCounter();
                             boolean sucsss = new File(directory).mkdir();
                             if(sucsss){
                                  wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("Directory Created ");
                                 File file = new File(directory+"\\"+wdContext.currentContextElement().getResourceURL().getResourceName().toString());
                                  FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(file);
                                  wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(file.getAbsolutePath());
                                  FilePath = file.getAbsolutePath();
                                  wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("AbsolutePath......."+file.getAbsolutePath());
                                  if(wdContext.currentContextElement().getResourceURL()!=null){
                                       input = wdContext.currentContextElement().getResourceURL().read(false);
                                       //wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("Resource is not null ");
                                       while((i = input.read())!=-1){
                                            fos.write(i);
                                  fos.flush();
                                  fos.close();
                                  wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("File Uploaded on server directory ");

  • Upload image in an html form to be emailed

    Hi everyone. Here is another one of my last minute, hurry up and wait requests.
    I have to create a form that will enable the viewer to upload an image and send the
    form on its way to a predetermined email address. This is for a contest starting tomorrow.
    The form has been made and works. The only thing I haven't worked out yet is the "upload image"
    feature. This is absolutely necessary and must be included. I have tested this several times and all the data
    comes thru. What I need is for an image to go along with the form fields and appear when the email is opened.
    With all due respect I do not have a very long learning curve here so if anyone can just provide
    me with the code, both html and php, instruct me exactly where to place it I would be
    extremely appreciative.
    here is the temporary link:
    Sirui/Argraph Wildlife-Landscape Photo Contest
    The image upload button will be in between the two horizontal rules towards the bottom of the form;
    above the submit/reset buttons.
    Thanks in advance as always.
    -Cliff-

    Below is the code and php for your complete form together with the file upload field and code. How you style the form and validate the form fields (if your going to) is down to you. Change the email address marked in red to that of the recipient you want the information to go to.
    You need to copy all the code and save it with a php extension so instead of:
    SiruiWildlifePhotoContestEntryForm.html
    This:
    SiruiWildlifePhotoContestEntryForm.php
    Obvioulsy being php it only works if the file is on a php enabled server so if you dont have a local testing server you need to upload it to your remote server before it will work.
    <?php
    if(isset($_POST['Submit']))
    //The form has been submitted, prep a nice thank you message
    $output = '<h1>Thanks for your file and message!</h1>';
    //Set the form flag to no display (cheap way!)
