I think that the rows you wanted to delete are locked (e.g. by
update).
Please search the knowledge base for articles about
detecting and resolving locking conflicts.

  • Systematic deletion hangs Finder

We were supplied by the University with Systematic Anti-virus 10.2. Upon upgrading the system to 10.2, it began to pop up error messages when logging in.
My (stupid) impatient solution was to delete the application, and three files it created in /Library/StartupItems/
Well, next time I plugged in my External HD (standard mac partition with Time Machine backup files and other files, along with FAT32 partition for my Windows7 system), it began to try to scan the drive. This caused Finder to Hang.
I installed the updated Systematic, which is running like normal now. The problem is, Finder still hangs for a good minute every time I try to do ANYTHING with the Mac partition on the External. It seems to not affect the FAT32 partition. Tried to repair the disk with Disk Utility, but the error "Count not unmount drive" came up. Also, tried to open a video with Quicktime and some error (-32) came up.
Sorry that got long, complicated problem, and haven't found anything like this on other forums.
    Any Ideas?

If you look at what I posted, I tried to repair right after that, and the error came up. It is an external, nothing to install. Already reformatted, had no choice, Disk Utility would freeze, DiskWarrior freezes, as well as Ubuntu's diskutility freezes upon a FULL SMART status check.
left Apple's DU running for two hours, and this is what I have so far...

  • Orphaned asset will not delete, hangs client

I"m in the process of figuring out FCS. I have a situation where I was doing a trial with importing FCP Projects to see if assets duplicated (sometimes they do. Trying to figure out why). Anyway, I tried to delete a project asset before it had finished uploading/transcoding/whatever. FCS Gave me an error but deleted the master assets that had been imported as part of the project import (also deleted these from the device). However, the project asset did not delete and has a box with a red diagonal line where the "checked out" icon usually is and whenever I try to double click, checkout, or anything else with this particular asset, the client hangs and I have to force quit. The project file that is the primary representation is still on the device.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of the problem project asset?
    Thanks

Ok. I managed to get access to the asset by restarting the final cut server in System Prefs. But I still can't delete it. I keep getting the message that it is locked and I can't find a way to unlock it.

  • Audio Bin - Select unused - Delete - Hangs on 100% CPU for long time

    Hi
I am running Logic Studio 9.0.2 on OS X 10.5.8 on a Mac Pro. Logic was upgraded from version 7.
In Audio Bin and "Select Unused" and then "Delete", the application might hang on 100% CPU for hours on large projects.
Anyone with an idea of what the problem might be? This was not a problem i Logic Pro 7.
    Thanks!
    GD

I have this same problem, though I'm on 10.5.7. I was hoping maybe updating the OS would help but apparently not. I also get very slow file-selection windows sometimes, like when I go to bounce a file. Navigating to a specific folder is painfully slow. Would like to hear if any Snow Leopard users are experiencing this.

  • Urgent - Crash/hang in WL impacting production environment

    Sunil,
I think your problems could be hardware related. Make sure there is enough memory on the box on which the server is running. Do you ever restart the server. Clean up JSP class files in the myserver directory. Make sure you are not leaving any open connections to the database. These are just a few things you shuould verify .

    Hi,
This is regarding some serious WL crashes that we are seeing in our
production environment. Before I detail out the problem, here is our
    operation environment -
WL 4.5.1 SP 13 on Windows NT 4.0 SP 5
    Execute thread count = 30
JDBC connection pool = 25 min, 100 max.
JDBC driver = oracle thin drivers.
    JDK 1.1.7B
    Oracle 8i database
Of late, we see that the server just randomly stops serving out requests,
for e.g. the server will not serve out JSP files, will not let any users
connect, etc. We found absolutely nothing in the weblogic.log files for most
of the crashes. The server just randomly stops at a point. Earlier we had a
problem with the ExecuteThreads being used up and the server hanging because
of lack of excecute threads and that problem was fixed and we haven't seen
that sort of problem ever since.
We just saw a crash where we had the following error sometime before the
    crash -
weblogic.common.ResourceException: Unable to shrink pool oracle from 26 to
    25
    at java.lang.Throwable.<init>(Compiled Code)
    at java.lang.Exception.<init>(Compiled Code)

    at weblogic.time.server.ScheduledTrigger.execute(Compiled Code)
    at weblogic.t3.srvr.ExecuteThread.run(Compiled Code)
After that we took a thread dump (Ctrl-Break) which is attached with this
    posting.
We have also seen that the server shuts itself down abruptly, i.e. the JVM
exits. Has anybody seen this kind of behaviour with WL 4.5.1/SP 13?
To give a brief background of our startup process -
We have quite a few startup classes (10) that start off when WL starts up.
Some of these startups are periodically running processes. Some of them
create a pool of threads (no. being between 40 -50) that are used when
required. Has anybody seen any problem with this kind of scenario.
This is an urgent production issue. Any help would be gratefully
    appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Urgent : Deleting a row in a sql report region

    Hi
I have an SQL report, i must have an icon "delete row", when clicing this icon the row must be deleted from the report,
what I have do but not sure of this :
in my query I am containing some html in witch I have an icon, when the user click on this icon, I have to delete the currect row of the record
How can I reference the currect row, and how can I clear the currect row of a report ?
    thank you

    Off course not.
You will refer only those primary key column or composite column in your where clause. So, no matter if your table has 15 or 90 columns. All, you need to refer only those key columns in your where clause of your main query and also use them in the sub-query which is connected with IN clause.
But, i think another approach is showing the use of exists operator. You can check that, too.
And, in the last post Karthik has shown you the analytic approach which i prefer.
I gave you my solution without modifying your existing sql. So, that you can understand it without a lot of hard-work and reading. ;)
I would also request you to check the performance issue on all the solutions which have provided to you by all of us. And, you can choose the best from it after going through the explain plan details.
So, final ball is in your court. ;)
Take some breath - and make your wise judgment on it. :)
    Best Of Luck.
    Regards.
    Satyaki De.

  • Urgent----OC4J Hanging After every 4-5 Hours

    Respected All Oracle ADF Users,
I Have Developed very large ADF (ADF BC Swing) Application i.e. One ERP Product, It Contains 300 Application Modules (Forms). I deployed this Application as EJB Session Bean on standalone OC4J which is on Fedora Core 3. There is Very Huge Data Entry, Data Fetching through this Application. (Daily 100000 Records Insertions)
Now problem is, when I start OC4J it goes fine for next 4-5 hours, but after 4-5 hours it get hang or my application get hang .if I restart my OC4J then it will run fine for next 4-5 hours and after 4-5 hours again it hanging ,so in a day I have to restart OC4J 4 times.
So I can u tell me
    1) Is OC4J not support such kind of large application?
    2) Weather I have to go for Oracle Application Server?
    3) Is there any kind of setting needs for same problem?
    4) Is this an Operating System Problem?
    5) Is this a Server Compatibility Problem?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks

    Hello,
I ran into a similar problem running an application server instance on a SLES 9 machine. My application was much smaller than yours and it turned out that I was forgetting to release a connection to an LDAP server from Java code. So, I suggest you have a look at all suspicious bits of code first.
Regarding the going to Oracle IAS, I would certainly advice you to do so.
Finally, a last piece of experience that I can share with you is that before getting SLES I used to run my application server on SuSE 8.2. While all the required packages were there the ias instance appeared to use all the available system memory. The issue was resolved until I finally installed the Oracle supported SLES.
If you like the Red Hat "look and feel" but still don't want to get a Linux that requires subscription like Oracle EL, why not try CentOS (www.centos.org) which appears to be a very good Red Hat clone.
    Thanassis

  • [urgent] deleted dbf.file

    Hello!
I have deleted the .dbf file.
    now oracle cannot start anymore.
I do not want to restore the datbase.
    the data ist not important.
how can i make oracle run again.
    please mail me.
    thanks in advance
    mario

    Hi Mario Meisenberger
If you have drop the system tablespace's .dbf then I cannot help U. And if it is other than system tablespace's .dbf then here is a small example. Just try it out.
Lets say U have drop myuser.dbf file of myuser tablespace then do the following in the server manager (svrmgrl) prompt:
    shutdown abort
    startup mount
    alter database datafile 'myuser.dbf' offline drop;
    alter database open;
    drop tablespace myuser including contents;
    shutdown normal
After shutting down U can now login normally and may re-create the delete tablespace's datafile.

  • Need To Urgently Delete Contents of a File! Please

I have flat File that exist in a Directory. I check what its contents is and then I have to overwrite this File. But unfortunately I can't figure out how to overwrite what is alrady on the File. i just seem to add onto the contents.
    File f = new File("path" + "filename");
//I need to check if it exist, so that I can decide whether I want to
//create a New File, Modify the File or Pend the File
//I can Pend and I can create a File, but not MOD
    f.exists();
    RandomAccessFile random = new RandomAccessFile(f, "rw");
//As far as I understand the following command deletes the File
//and returns a boolean the verify whether is has deleted the File or not.
    //But it always returns false
    f.delete();
random.writeBytes("StringofBytes");If any of can see what I'm doing wrong. Please help me I got a time limit on this one.

"f.delete()" always fails because the file is open. And that's because you yourself opened it in the previous line. First delete f, then create a new version of it.

  • Urgent - Form hangs

    Hello,
I am new to Application Express. I developed couple of forms. Both were working fine until yesterday. All of a sudden my second form just hange when I try to run. I looked into all the queries that run at OnLoad. I tuned them and they run fine when I run them manually. Can someone guide me how to debug this or how to find out where the form is stuck.
    Thanks
    Naresh

You have a couple of options..
(1)try setting the Execute Condition to 'never' for all the onLoad processes, then one by one set them to a condition that will execute.
(2)run the page in debug to see the execution stream as the page renders

I need to delete Planned Independent Requirements (MD62). I tried using the bapi 'BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE' setting the delete_old parameter to 'X'. However this does not delete the planned independent requirement.
Plz suggest a method for deletion of PIR programatically.
    Thanks
    Vijay

    Hi,
Have you checked in ECC MD04 tcode. What is the date it is showing there?
If in MD04 date of ind. requirement is showing same as APO then there is no problem it is expected behaviour.
If not Try running CCR to correct inconsistency.

  • URGENT:Deletion  of Query from QA

I want to delete query from Quality system.
Proposed solution is deleting query in dev and then transporting same to QA.
I am confused little bit if i use RSZDELETE command will it ask for request or i should simply delete query from query deisgner after assigning it to one request.
Please provide me inputs regarding same as soon as possible.
    Rahul

Rahul, you cannot Delete the already deleted Object again in Dev. SO, you are getting that error.
You may have inconsistencies between Dev and  QAS. Look at the transport log of the Query. In the Log, it will state if the Query is deleted in QAS or it couldn't.
If you need to re-transport the deletion, don't try to collect the deleted Query again. It won't work. Instead, talk to BASIS and COPY the Transport Request (the already released one with the Query deletion) into a new transport request and move it to BQ3 again.
Also, sit with basis if neede dand analyze the transport log carefully. It will tell you what you need to know.
NOTE: IF you are using the same query in workooks, etc in BQ3, it cannot be deleted. This is a problem, so also go to BQ3 and see a where else you are using the that Query different from DEV.
    Good luck
