Urgent help- ANT build classpath

Hi,
I am having trouble in deploying an ear. I get ClassNotFound Exception. Below is the structure of files and the ANT ear task. I guess I am not specifying the Class-Path properly. Been trying from a long time. Could someone please help....
PlateMap
|--APP-INF
| |-lib (all jars)
| |- ejb.jar
| |- package.jar
| |- 1.jar
| |- 2.jar
|
|--META-INF (deply desc's - applicattion.xml)
|
|--SubProj
|- dist (ear to be deployed)
| |-PlateMap.ear
|
|- build.xml
<target name="ear" depends="build">
<ear destfile="${dist}/PlateMap.ear" appxml="../META-INF/application.xml" >
<fileset dir="../APP-INF/lib" includes="*.jar"/>
<manifest>
<attribute name="Class-Path" value="../APP-INF/lib/*.jar"/>
</manifest-->
</ear>
</target>
THE ABOVE TASK IS IN BUILD.XML. I AM GETTING A CLASSNOTFOUND FOR ONE OF THE CLASSES IN PACKAGE.JAR. AM NOT SURE WHY THE CLASS IS NOT BEING RECOGNISED...
THANKS

GOT IT SOLVED...
HAD TO SPECIFY THE MANIFEST-CLASSPATH OF PACKAGE.JAR, WHILE CREATING THE EJB.JAR

    First thing, when Jdev does the automatic compilation, then why to bother for an ant script.
    and further as the script output says, check the compiler error log for a detailed information. From the error output you have posted, it seems that framework library files are not on the classpath and hence you are getting the issue.

    I have had the same problem as above and spent quite a few nights pulling hair out over it. Adding/removing quotes in the environment var and in the ant batch file didn't seem to work though.
    I added and echo line to spit out the antRun command and found the LOCALCLASSPATH var was stuffed.
    Rather than piss around any further I just wrote a batch file to generate an equivilant variable called JWSDP_ClassPath (for want of a better name).
    The batch file code was simply (line by line to make it easier to read):
    set JWSDP_CLASSPATH="C:\Program Files\Sun\s1studio_jdk\j2sdk1.4.1_02\lib\tools.jar";
    set JWSDP_CLASSPATH=%JWSDP_CLASSPATH%"C:\java\jwsdp-1.3\server\lib\catalina-ant.jar";

    set JWSDP_CLASSPATH=%JWSDP_CLASSPATH%"C:\Program Files\Sun\s1studio_jdk\j2sdk1.4.1_02\lib";
    set JWSDP_CLASSPATH=%JWSDP_CLASSPATH%"C:\Java\jwsdp-1.3\common\lib";
    set JWSDP_CLASSPATH=%JWSDP_CLASSPATH%"C:\Java\jwsdp-1.3\apache-ant\lib";
    set JWSDP_CLASSPATH=%JWSDP_CLASSPATH%"C:\Java\jwsdp-1.3\server\lib";
    I then call this before the antRun command and use JWSDP_CLASSPATH rather than LOCALCLASSPATH in the ant.bat, eg:
    call set_JWSDP_CLASSPATH
    :runAnt
    java -cp %JWSDP_CLASSPATH% "-Dant.home=%ANT_HOME%" "-Djwsdp.home=%ANT_HOME%\.." %ANT_OPTS% org.apache.tools.ant.Main %ANT_CMD_LINE_ARGS%
    This will obviously need to be customised to the install paths on the PC it is run on....
    Anyway hope this helps someone if the above more simle solutions do not.

  • Problems deploying ear file created with ant build script

    Hi All,
    I'm using Jdeveloper 11G and Weblogic 10.3. When I build my application and run it within Jdeveloper, it works fine. However, we have a requirement to run ANT build script and create a deployable .ear file that can be manually deployed to any Weblogic Server.
    I created my ant build script and it compiles/builds fine - the .ear file looks good. However, when I attempt to deploy it, it fails with
    javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet for servlet Faces Servlet could not be loaded because the requested class was not found in the classpath .

    I am not sure how to tell weblogic where to find the classes needed. I have a pretty huge classpath used when compiling - should I be putting the classpath in the manifest (?) - I don't think I should need to include the .jar files manually in the .ear file - since all the libraries should already be available in weblogic - or is that a misconception?
    Please help!!

    I answered my own question -
    I had to manually add the following to the WEB-INF/lib to get the error to go away:
    ${ORACLE_HOME}/modules/javax.jsf_1.1.0.0_1-2.jar and
    ${ORACLE_HOME}/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jsf_1.2.9/glassfish.jsf_1.0.0.0_1-2-15.jar and
    ${ORACLE_HOME}/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jsf_1.2.9/glassfish.jstl_1.2.0.1.jar
    that solved my problem. However, I think it'd be great if I could somehow just specify (in the weblogic-application.xml maybe?) that my application is using the above modules without having to copy the jar files into my WEB-INF/lib - any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • Ant build script not working...

    Hi!
    I'm having problems using Ant to build a WLI-application in a HP-UX
    production environment. I exported the Ant buildscripts in Weblogic
    Integration (in NT) and made minor adjustments which do not change
    classpaths or anything for the taskdefs used. All of the builds I do for
    other parts of the app work just fine, but when compiling the processes
    (.jpd-files) I get the following error for each process:

    write the deployment descriptors for Enterprise Java Beans. Error:

    the "ejb-jar.template' file resides in the knex.jar file which is
    included in the classpath used for the build. Can anyone help me out
    here on this one? One other thing to mention is that when I build the
    application using Workshop in our development environment, there are no

    Hi,
    I have created a basic WebCenter Portal Application in jdeveloper. I want to create a war file of this application using ant build script.
    Created a build.xml file using the "Buildfile from project" option from the New Gallery option.
    Can anyone help me to code the portion in the build.xml file, where I can create a war file...

    After creating the build.xml file as mentioned above for my WebCenter Portal application, When I try to run the login.jspx page, it is unseccessful . It throws me an error

    Created another sample WebCenter Portal application without selecting Ant in project technologies and then when I run the login.jspx of that application, it was success. The page opened properly.
    What can be the issue for this?

  • Ant build script for WebLogic Portal 10.3 projects

    Hi Friends,
    I am going thru this document http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wlw/docs103/guide/ideuserguide/build/conUseCustomAntBuild.html#metadata about building ant script for my portal project. The document does not state few things clearly. Can you please help me to understand.
    It says:
    To Build an EAR File Using the Ant Script:
    1. Generate the Ant script for each project in the EAR.
    2. Generate the Ant script for the EAR project.
    3. Configure the execution environment of your shell by executing wl.home/common/bin/commEnv.sh
    4. Change to the Eclipse directory for the EAR project.
    5. Execute the desired target in the EAR project's Ant script as follows:
    ant build archive -Dworkspace=workspacepath
    A) When I generate ant script, workshop generates build.xml file in each project directory and that includes EAR project as well. Then, point 2 is not clear, how do I generate another ant script (build.xml) for the EAR project?
    B) I do not understand, "change to the eclipse directory for the EAR project". Does it mean, change to the directory of EAR project folder which has build.xml?
    C) in step-5, execute the desired target, when I execute it, how it will know where are other build.xml files for other projects?
    Regards,
    JT

    Hi Greg,
    I moved little bit but then got stuck with new kind of error.
    a. First of all, my application has a 'data' project (.usr) file. When I try to generate ant scripts (build.xml), it says that 'data' project is not compatible with Workshop ant scripts. However, Workshop inbuilt EXPORT->EAR is able to build the projects without any error.
    b. So, I thought, let's put a dummy build.xml file under 'data' project directory. This let ant build to proceed further. However, now it fails with error that <web project>/build.xml (line no. 122). Which is nothing but memory declaration (memoryMaximumSize="1024m"). The error says, 'unable to launch apt compiler', I am not able to understand what is it? The other projects' (ejb, controls etc.) build.xml has this declaration but they did not give this error, they built fine.
    <web project>/build.xml
    <target name="build" depends="init" description="compiles the source files; does not package the results">
    <if>
    <isreference refid="apt.factory.path"/>
    <then>
    <mkdir dir="${apt.src.output.dir}"/>
    <for-each-java-src-path>
    <if>
    <available file="${.java.src.dir}"/>
    <then>
    <mkdir dir="${.java.src.output}"/>
    <apt
    sourcepath="${java.sourcepath}"
    srcdir="${.java.src.dir}"
    includes="${.java.src.include}"
    excludes="${.java.src.exclude}"
    destdir="${.java.src.output}"
    preprocessdir="${apt.src.output.dir}"
    classpathref="java.classpath"
    factorypathref="apt.factory.path"
    options="${apt.options}"
    compile="false"
    memoryMaximumSize="1024m"/>
    </then>
    </if>
    </for-each-java-src-path>
    </then>
    </if>

    I need some urgent help. I'm using CS3 but for a while my

    Help please!!!!!!

    > How would you about designing a page without using html?
    You don't. But I don't recall suggesting that you not use
    HTML. I just
    suggested that you use best-practice HTML, no? Or maybe you
    meant to ask
    how you would go about building your site without learning
    HTML? In that
    case, I think you are outta luck. Using DW without knowing
    HTML is a very
    punishing experience, I'm afraid.

    Hi,
    You are very lucky that I'm currently boored. You should never tag a question as urgent. It might be urgent to you, but not to us who answer. And you should also use code formatting when you post code (see the formatting tips, or use the code-button).
    I made some changes to your Graph class. The most important thing is the abstract draw method that I added to the GeomFigur class.
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.util.*;
    public class Graph extends JPanel {
        LinkedList figures;
        public Graph() {

            figures = new LinkedList();
        int z;
        abstract class GeomFigur {
            protected Color color;
            public GeomFigur(Color color) {
                this.color = color;
            public abstract void move(Point p);
            public abstract void draw(Graphics g);
        abstract class Line extends GeomFigur {

                super(c);
                this.p1 = new Point(p1);
                this.p2 = new Point(p2);
            public String toString() {
                return "Line from " + p1 + " to " + p2;
            public void move(Point dist) {
                p1.move(dist.x, dist.y);

  • Urgent help needed in achieving below ADF 11g flow

    Hi, I am using JDEV 11.1.1.2.0 with ADF 11g.
    I have a below requirement.
    Say in below eg. I am getting col1, col2, col3 from a single tbl in screen 1. On clicking col1's row I should go to screen 2
    Screen1
    Col1     Col2     Col3
    Nm1     Code1     10
    Nm1     Code1     30
    Nm2     Code1     30
    Nm1     Code2     20
    Here in screen 2 I will have a calculated field as shown below. Besides this In the same screen I will have a list showing distinct of col2 for the value cliked in col1. So here in this eg. it will be for Nm1 I will have 2 values in the list Code1 and Code2.
    Screen 2
    Col1     Nm1
    Col2     Code1
    Tot     *40*
    Col2     Select
    Code1     X
    Code2
    Now here if user selects the radio of 'Code2' Then my above data should change as below
    Col1     Nm1
    Col2     Code2
    Tot     *20*
    Col2     Select
    Code1
    Code2     X
    I do this by passing the col1 value as a param to a query VO.
    I have tried this using different VOs like a VO with query, VO with user defined column... nothing helps.
    I am just unable to reach to screen 2. I am either getting invalid column OR missing in out parameters.
    Can any one help on how and what should be done? This is not even master-details stuff. master-details seems easier than this.
    Urgent help is needed.
    Thanks in advance

    I have resolved your problem and build a sample application.
    You have to create 2 views and use master detail.
    First view will be a simple view for the page 1 and second view will be readonly using group by. Then create a view link between them.
    Let me know your email id. I will email you the sample application.

    Guys i have a v simple question but i cnat get my head around it.....i have a running environment (cluster) of call managers....now i want to relplicate it in my lab same topology....now i m using BARS as well....i have already build the call managers (in lab)...now i dont remenber the SQL passwords or other passwords for the live CCM cluster....now if i take a back up and put it in the lab will it work??? or the the passwords have to be same on lab to th elive environment......guys urgent help is needed.....reagrds

    You can restore the node in the lab with the tar file you got from the back up. The restore will override the passwords and assign the ones taken from the back up. I hope that helps!

  • Urgent HELP required on forming the Matrix of data using PL/SQL

    Hi All,
    I'm new to this thread and require your urgent help in this regard.
    I've got a requirement for building a 5000 X 5000 matrix using PL/SQL. My original data tables have 5000 rows each and I need to do a correlation analysis using this data and need to store in a physical table and not in-memory. Is this feat achievable using mere PL/SQL? I understand that Oracle DB has a limitation of 1000 columns(but not sure) and hence I'd like to know whether there is any work-around for such scenarios. If not, what are the other alternative method(s) to achieve this feat? Do I need to use any 3rd party tools to get this done? An early reply from the experts is highly appreciated.
    Thanking you all Gurus in advance.
    Rgds
    Sai

    Welcome to OTN!
    I'll get to your quesiton in a moment, but first some welcome information. Many OTN posters consider it impolite to mark threads as "urgent". We are volunteers and have jobs of our own to do without people we don't know making demands. You are brand new and deserve some patience but please understand this. It is very likely before I finish this post someone will complain about the word "urgent" in your subject.
    On to more interesting things :)
    You can do the matrix, but are out of luck with a 5000 x 5000 table because Oracle only allows 1000 columns per table. There are ways to work around this.
    How do do the matrix depends on what you want to do. You can do this different ways. You can create a table beforehand and use PL/SQL or simple SQL to populate it, or use the CREATE TABLE AS syntax to create and populate it in one step if you can get the underlying SQL to work the way you want, something like
    create table my_table as
      select a.*, b.*
        from table1 a, table2 bcan populate a matrix from 2 tables with an intentional cartesian join (the WHERE clause was left out intentionally, provided your data is already in the data base.
    If not you can use a PL/SQL routine to populate the data.
    There are a couple of ways to solve the 1000 column limit. The easiest way might be to have 5 collections of 1000 columns each. A more complicated but more elegant soltion would be to have nested collections, allowing 2 colliections that you can loop through - a collection of collections. Nested collections can be hard to work with. A third way would be to use nested tables in the database but I personally do not like them and the insert, update, and delete statements for nested tables are hard to use.
    I'm not going to give a code example because I am not sure which solution is best for you. If you have further questions post them.

  • Urgent Help required! - Storing the XML as String instead as a file

    Hi,
    I need urgent help on this.
    I have an XML file. I have used org.w3c.dom to build dom and manipulate the XML file.
    I have updated the values for some of the nodes and I have deleted some of the unwanted nodes.
    I am able to save the output of the DOM as another XML file using
    either transform class or XMLSerializer with OutputFormatter class.
    But my requirement is to save the output of the DOM into a String instead of a file.
    When I save it in String, I need to have the following XML decalration and DOCTYPE declration also with it.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE Test SYSTEM "Test.dtd">
    Can anyone pls help me in this??
    Thanks in Advance. Expecting some inpputs pls....!
