Urgent: Portal access using SSO with Windows NT
Dear all,
I'm planning to implement SSO for Portal with Window NT authentication.
Can anybody explain me the steps to do...
If the internal users logs in NT domain say..("ABC"). he/she should be authenticated to Portal without giving logon credentials.. automatically they needs to enter into portal.
I'm using NW'04 SR1(EP6.0 SP9) with AIX 5.2/oracle
Microsoft ADS(LDAP)

Hi,
in order to apply windows SSO you will need to install the IIS proxy module in front of your portal, this module knows how to handle users authentication using the NTLM/kerberos features MS ADS supports.
the specific procedure for implementing it can be found in the documentation/help. i have managed to find it in the EP6 sp2 security guide but i think it is the same for the EP6 SP9 as well. so just go to this link:

keep in mind that you will need to be logged on to SDN.

Hi,
I'm facing a problem when trying to access to some tasks in the UWL.
It appears an error message saying "Usually this system rejects the access using SSO tickets" (it's not an accurate translation, the message in spanish says "Generalmente este sistema rechaza el acceso mediante ticket SSO").
The same happens when I try to access to the backend system (R/3 Release 4.6C) using an iView.
At first I thought it was a problem related with the certificate between the backend and the portal, but we have reimported the certificate in the backend and the problem still happens. And the certificate doesn't expire until 2012.
I have restarted the J2EE Engine too, but it continues the same.
What is extrange is that all the WebDynpro applications that call RFCs in the backend system work fine and get the information.
Anybody knows what can I do to solve this problem? Yesterday all worked fine and this morning I saw all this.
The release is Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP18.

login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
- if the corresponding R3 user is not locked or expired
- if the portal certificate is added to the ACL list of the R/3 System (using STRUSTSSO2)

Very slow Access 2002 query with Windows 7
I need help troubleshooting consistently slow queries in an Access 2002 database with Windows 7.
I’m running a temporary query in a local copy of a back end database with only tables. The identical query will take just 2-3 seconds with Windows XP but 30-60 seconds with Windows 7. Multiple Windows 7 workstations are all slow and
all Windows XP machines run the query quickly. I even used JetShowPlan on both workstations to compare and the plans are identical. Two tables are involved with rushmore used on the first and a full scan on the second table of about 150,000 records.
Even in XP Mode on the Windows 7 machine the query still takes only about 10 seconds. Anyone have any ideas why Access/Jet on Windows 7 can be so slow? Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for the pointer - I had found that one earlier and tried it - did not help. I think the HP ProtectTools Security Manager is Normally loaded
on Laptops - my problem is on Workstation. I did a test of 2007 Access in the Virtual XP Mode window - There is works 'normally'.
To give you an idea how Slow a query in 2007 access/W7 is;
I started a search for part numbers with 'busbar' in their description...
on W7 - Database is LOCAL to WS and upgraded to Office 2007
I then opened an XP Mode window
Opened the 2007 Access DB to the 'normal' database located on fileserver.
enter the same Part search
counted to 10 - 19 Parts found
Closed DB
Closed XP Mode window
Waited about 2 minutes... same 19 parts found.... Wonderful!
I will wait till my MS Rep can get me in line for the Hot fix or MS releases it. Till then I will teach the Users how to Use XP Mode.

Using SSO with hotmail account
Hi ,
I need to create an iview which takes me directly to my mail account in hotmail . I tried doing it in the same way as it is done for the yahoo account given in HowToUseAppIntegrator_en.pdf , but it didn't work . In the browser IE it does not display the page at all giving an error "access denied" . I mozilla it though takes me the login page of hotmail but does not login . It asks for the password . I believe hotmail page is a .net page . Could someone please suggest me a solution ?

In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

I am using Iphone with windows. I have draged photos from my computer into Iphone in the past, but cant seem to do it now. How do I move photos from my pc to my iphone without deleting photos that are on the phone.
You cannot drag pics from computer to iphone. This has never been a feature of iphone.
You sync them as you would anything esle.
You select photos from the photos tab. Whatever is selected will be on your iphone. Anything not selected will not be. Make sure that everything you want on your iphone is selected, then sync. -
Using Photoshop6 with Windows 8.1
I was forced to change my hard drive and since then have been unable to use/install Photoshop 6. An error message says the Serial Number is incorrect. It is not. I previously had this version working before I changed the hard drive. Adobe chat tells me that I cannot use it with Windows 8.1 but I know it did before. Can anyone help?

If the issue still persists, please post back more detailed information about your memory stick and the event log about hardware issue here for further research.

My desktop IMac OSX 10.6.8 : IMovie '11: Trying to upload a home movie clip from my Panosonic camera model PV-DV203D. I've had this camera several years, and used it with Windows desktop. Now trying to work with my Mac. I have a USB cable, both ends fit, but iMovie '11 does not recognize it. Is there a driver fix for this?
What kind of Mac to you have? This camera is a tape based DV one that connects best with firewire and I cannot tell if your Mac has firewire. If your mac *does* have firewire, get a camcorder firewire cable and try again.
ETA: Oops, I am pretty sure that all the "desktop iMacs" have firewire, so you should be good to go. You will probably need a cord that goes from FW800 to your camcorder. -
Unable to view external webcam content. I'm using IE11 with Windows 7 64 bit. I've tried deactivating Activex control, tried different browsers etc, tweeked the tools for trusted sites etc, but am totally stuck. I know the cams are working as i can view them on mobile phone via puffin browser. I can play Youtube videos etc just fine. So why not the webcam?

HI! I am using iTunes with Windows 7 64bit.after upgrading itunes to 10.5.2.11 it opens only once. If i close it, then it will not open again.the only way to open itunes is by disabling the APSDaemon.exe from the task manager.please help!
