URL endpoint DataController:ViewRowSetIteratorImpl.scrollRangeTo is invalid

Hi ,
I have created a URL end point data controller as it is needed for my application.the URL basically calls a servlet which returns data in xml format.
From there I dragged and dropped it as ADF table with row single selction.
Everything looks fine and working.
But I have af:goImage link in each row on click of which it shold open me a separate page with its corrsponding destination.so the link is as below
<af:goImageLink text="#{row.ProdShortTitle}" id="gil1"
icon="/images/search_hover_icon.png"
iconPosition="trailing" destination="#{row.ProdId_Ref}"
targetFrame="_blank">
And it it opens the link properly but some times all of the sudden it throws the below error
*<RegistrationConfigurator><handleError> Server Exception during PPR, #4*
oracle.jbo.InvalidParamException: JBO-25006: Value oracle.adf.model.bean.DCDataRow passed as parameter row to method ViewRowSetIteratorImpl.scrollRangeTo is invalid: not in the row set.
Earlier I worked with many ADF BC componets whcih has VO and EO for it but never faced this error.
I guess the problem is setiing the current row.When i click in the link first it tries to set current row.Is it creating any problem?
But it happens occssacionally.Most of the times it opens the link properly.
Please help with solutions if any?

Thanks a lot for your reply - I solved this problem (A wrong Registry-Key) but rightnow I have a new problem with my client respectively with TPM.
If I checkup in the SQL-database for the TPMhash - the value is NULL! Have you got any idea to solve this problem?
Thanking everybody in advance for any feedback!

  • Where to put the url endpoint for changing between enviroments?

    Hello,
    I have created a few jax-ws clients. I am now in development stage, but in the future I will want to put them in preproduction enviroment. where is the best place to put the service urls for calling it and changing in an easy way?
    I came from dot net world, I am used to a web.config file which I can change in hot, does java have something like that?
    Thanks in advance.

    If you are using Spring then these will be helpful to you-

  • How to use scrollRangeTo() method?

    We are here facing the following problem: when findByKey is used to get needed row from RowSet and afterwards that same row is given as one of the input parameters for scrollRangeTo() (same RowSet again), exception with message "Parameter row for method ViewRowSetIteratorImpl.scrollRangeTo is invalid. Reason: not in the row set
    " will be thrown. What is the cause of that exception?
    For illustration I bring here a piece of code that would lead to the same exception:
    Object [] sCode=new Object[1];
    sCode[0]=row.getAttribute("Code");
    // here row is some row from any RowSet
    Key key=new Key(sCode);
    Row [] rows=rowSet.findByKey(key,1);
    // here rowSet is given RowSet
    if(rows!=null && rows.length>0){
    rowSet.scrollRangeTo(rows[0],0);
    // exception is thrown here !
    null

    Hi Amar
    Thanks for the reply
    I tried setting the password through setPassword method but its giving an exception ==>java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: java.lang.String.setPassword(com..waveset.util.EncrypteData)
    Then I decrypted the password but no luck getting ==>java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: java.lang.String.setPassword() exception.
    Am i missing something here.do i need to pass the encrypted password in byte array format? if yes how to do that.
    Here encrypted password is coming from a form.

  • Frequent "Invalid URL" problem on my MacBook

    I have a strange problem accessing websites with my MacBook. I'll go to a website like Google, Amazon, Netflix, etc, and intermittently, I'll get the following error message:
    Invalid URL
    The requested URL "http://www.netflix.com/", is invalid.
    Reference #9.3f5a9140.1291780004.110aa136 (this changes)
    The error message appears on a simple white page, in black serif type. The next day I'll try again, and the same URL will work fine. The URL is always correct.
    I have a 2008 aluminum unibody Macbook OS 10.5 Leopard.
    I've deleted cookies, cleared cache, and updated all software, including Safari.
    But the issue still periodically occurs.
    Any insight would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Rick

    I had other web browsers on my mac, both firefox and opera. I cleared all cookies, history, and the like, and then deleted all the other web browsers. once i restarted my computer it all worked fine again. My guess is there was something downloaded on the other web browsers that was hurting my ability to surf the web

    Please when you have a query post the URL of your feed, not its contents.  Is this your feed? -
    http://kpssctoxicology.org/Podcast/kptoxcast_test_rss_092711.xml
    You have a number of cases of a string of spaces in titles: you also have one in a URL which will render that link invalid.
    But what is rendering the whole feed unreadable is your category link:
    <category>Science & Medicine</category>
    The presence of an ampersand ('&') by itself indicates the start of a code sequence, and in the absence of one, and its closing character, invalidates everything which follows, and thus the entire feed. You must replace the ampersand with the code
    &amp;
    Additionally, your opening lines should read thus:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0">
    (with the 'purl.org' line if you like).
    If you are going to submit a feed to iTunes you might want to reconsider have 'test' in the filename: apart from the Store having a tendency to reject obvious test podcasts which may not reflect the finished version, you will be stuck with this URL and though you can change the feed URL it's an additional hassle.

  • Invalid Web Service URL Error

    I am trying to access define a new webservice system using the WSDL for my local queryview web service.  When I put in the WSDL URL it comes back with a "Invalid Web Service URL" error.  If I put the URL in the Browser address, it successfully brings back the web service information.  Any ideas why I can't define this web service system?
    http://<server>:8001/sap/bw/xml/soap/queryview?sap-client=040&wsdl=1.1
    <server> is a token for posting concerns...
    Thanks!

    I am imagining that the BW QUERY_VIEW_DATA web service complies to the Basic Profile 1.0.
    And I don't quite understand this part?
    <i>In addition, connections to Web services for SAP backend systems must be performed via logical destinations (configured in the SAP J2EE engine with the Visual Administrator) and not via portal systems</i>
    Since the QUERY_VIEW_DATA Web Service resides on my BW system is the BW system considered a SAP backend system?  Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

  • Error while testing the endpoints in Service Registry

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error while testing the endpoint in the Service Registry
    Invalid Response Code: (404) Not Found. The request URL was:"http://<server>:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_DD73518A3AD471F18558001D0910D3CA/wsdl11/binding/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800". Check, whether the URL is correct, and the Web Service that you are requesting is up and running.
    I have created an Enterprise Service at the backend and have published to the Service Registry of the CE server , but while testing the endpoint in service registry i am getting error.
    Can any one please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi hamsa,
    Have you tested the service? If It works, maybe there's something wrong with your destination configuration.

  • Invalid characters when consuming web service

    Morning all,
    I am using Apache Axis 1.3 (yes, slightly old version) to consume a Microsoft SharePoint web service. The problem I am finding is that the returned XML contains an invalid XML character which is causing Axis to throw an exception. I have no control over the SharePoint web service so I am wondering if it is possible to somehow obtain the XML returned from SharePoint so that I can pre-process it, removing all the bad characters, before then letting Axis process as normal. Or perhaps there is a more elegant solution?
    This snippet of code shows how I am currently calling the web service :
    String endpoint = listSite.endsWith("/") ? listSite + "_vti_bin/Lists.asmx" : listSite + "/_vti_bin/Lists.asmx";
    org.apache.axis.client.Service service = new org.apache.axis.client.Service();
    org.apache.axis.client.Call call = (org.apache.axis.client.Call) service.createCall();
    call.setProperty(Call.SOAPACTION_USE_PROPERTY, new Boolean(true));
    call.setProperty(Call.SOAPACTION_URI_PROPERTY, "http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/GetListItems");
    call.setSOAPVersion(org.apache.axis.soap.SOAPConstants.SOAP11_CONSTANTS);
    call.setOperationName(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/", "GetListItems"));
    call.setTargetEndpointAddress(new java.net.URL(endpoint));
    call.addParameter(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/", "listName"),
         new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema", "string"),
         java.lang.String.class,
         javax.xml.rpc.ParameterMode.IN);
    call.addParameter(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/", "rowLimit"),
         new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema", "string"),
         javax.xml.rpc.ParameterMode.IN);
    call.setUsername(domain + "\\" + user);
    call.setPassword(password);
    call.setReturnType(org.apache.axis.Constants.XSD_SCHEMA);
    Schema schema = (Schema) call.invoke(new Object[]{ listGUID, "100" });The error occurs after the call to the invoke method :
    org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Character reference "&#11" is an invalid XML characterMany Thanks,
    Ben.

    You're not going to like this but... get the producer (SharePoint) fixed.
    Because if you get invalid XML then yes you'd have to pre-process it, which basically will entail you throwing out Axis and doing it all yourself. Which seems brutal.
    Bottom line is that a webservice producing invalid XML is not in fact a webservice.

  • Url service data control - problem while  POSTing to a restful webservice

    Hi,
    I am trying to call a restful webservice to add a new employee .I have created the url service data control. The service method consumes XML.
    When i am creating the url service datacontrol I selected the http method as POST and giving the servicepath and servicename as the source. After providing the xsd's path and all , when I test the url connection, I am getting the following error message:
    URL Test: Received Error: Method Not Allowed
    This might be because the clicking of the test url button is sending the get request, but the actual method is POST.
    Now under the data controls navigator, If i view the newly created data control, i could see the loadData(Object) method which i assume is for retrieving the data from the service. But since i have mentioned the method as POST, why such a method is created? Also if its there, can I use the same for insert and update? I have used this loadData (Object) method to create a button which calls the webservice upon click. Under the data control property inspector, i changed the supportsupdate attribute's value to true. But when i am trying to save the employee from the jspx page, I am getting the following message in the integrated weblogic's log
    Couldn't get access to the data source. Cause Unsupported Media Type exception in rest service
    And on the server side I am getting the following error message:
    No message body reader has been found for request class Employee, ContentType application/octet-stream.
    I think the request is not going as XML. But while creating the datacontrol i have specified the xsd document for the iput xml request. Does ADF automatically creates the XML from the input parametres? If it does not, then what could be done to achieve that? The default actionListener of the submit button is #{bindings.loadData.execute}. Do i have to override it to send the XML request? Or have I missed anything in trying to achieve what i intend?
    I had refered this link for reference :

    Hi Frank,
    I had specified the HTTP method as POST as well as PUT. But the same error is appearing in the both the cases.
    URL Test: Received Error: Method Not Allowed
    And when I am clicking on the 'Test URL Connection' , I can't see any option of selecting the HTTP method. This option only appears in the step 2 of creating the URL service data control where we mention the URL endpoint and the source.
    What could be the reason for the error.

  • Sender SOAP Adapter - how to avoid changes of URL for diferent environments

    Dear experts,
    we have a concern with transports of PI objects in our environment.
    Situation:
    When we transport SOAP Sender objetcs in PI from Dev to Test the URL (Endpoint) changes automatically the hostname and the business system (target system in SLD). For example:
    In Development to call the Web Service (Sender SOAP Adapater):
    http://sappid1.evonceib.local:50100/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=&senderService=EvonceOSB_PEMP_D&receiverParty=&receiverService=&interface=PEMP_PagadoresMaintain_Async_Out_WS&interfaceNamespace=urn%3Aonce%3Asppemp%3Amanagedatosdepagadorpa_in_pemp
    In Test to call the Web Service (Sender SOAP Adapater):
    http://sappit1:50100/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=&senderService=EvonceOSB_PEMP_T&receiverParty=&receiverService=&interface=PEMP_PagadoresMaintain_Async_Out_WS&interfaceNamespace=urn%3Aonce%3Asppemp%3Amanagedatosdepagadorpa_in_pemp
    Problem:
    The consuming side only wants to have one endpoint and don't want to touch the development when transporting the consumer. Generally to find a work around via DNS aliases for the hostname should solve the prefix of the URL, but how to handle the difference of Business Systems senderService=EvonceOSB_PEMP_D and senderService=EvonceOSB_PEMP_T in the URL?
    In the SLD I can not maintain two BS with the same name, when I do not define a transport target the import fails.
    So anybody has an idea how to get exactly the same URL for diferent environments?
    Thank you in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Karsten Blankenstein

    Hi ,
    It is recommended to use different environmemt for Dev,testing,Production. So your PI server host name and port will be different for every environment.
    So URL will differ.
    however if you dont want to change Business system Name then go for BUSINESS SERVICE/COMPONENT instead of BUSINESS SYSTEM. It will be same in every environment and also dont need to maintain anything in SLD

  • SOLVED: Unable to set Destination URI to URL stored in a VO attribute

    Hi OAF Gurus,
    I want to set destination URI for a message styled text bean in my custom OAF page, such that on clicking the link a popup window comes up with an external url. This external url is record specific and is stored in a db table. I have access to this url thru a VO attribute on my page.
    If I set destination URI declaratively using a static url, it works fine for me. However when I try to pick up the destination url from VO attribute, fwk is prefixing "http://server:port/" to the url and consequently making it an invalid url.
    Please suggest a way to stop fwk from prefixing "http://server:port/" to the url stored in my VO attribute.
    What works:
    Destination URI:
    javascript:var a = window.open('http://www.google.com/', 'a','height=500,width=900,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no'); a.focus();
    What doesn't work:
    Destination URI:
    javascript:var a = window.open('{@BpelInstanceUrl}', 'a','height=500,width=900,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no'); a.focus();
    VO attribute BpelInstanceUrl has value "http://www.google.com/".
    When I specify the above destination uri using VO attribute 'BpelInstanceUrl', I get the following url on the link:
    javascript:var a = window.open('http%u003a//www.google.com/', 'a','height=500,width=900,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no'); a.focus();
    I searched the forum, but couldn't find any discussion on setting destination uri to an external url based on the value of a VO attribute.
    Thanks for the help. Waiting for your valuable inputs.

    Shiv,
    I don't think your suggestion will work, because jsp redirect which framework will use internally will take default port number if fully qualified url(like http://www.google.com/') is not used.So, Ritesh will have the same problem as he mentioned.
    Now, Ritesh coming back to your problem, the solution is to attach the fully qualified url in the table component at runtime. This will help you in two forms:
    1)There will be no MAC key validation for your javascript generated url.
    2)Your fully qauilified url will be attached to url property at runtime, so would not face the current problem.
    Hence you need to use bound values api. Here is the sample code:
    OATableBean tableBean =
    (OATableBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("<table item id>");
    OAMessageStyledTextBean m= (OAMessageStyledTextBean)tableBean.findChildRecursive("<message styled text in table item id>");
    OADataBoundValueViewObject tip1 = new OADataBoundValueViewObject(m, "<vo attr name which stores url for each row>");
    m.setAttributeValue(oracle.cabo.ui.UIConstants.DESTINATION_ATTR, tip1);
    I hope i am clear.
    --Mukul

  • Error when setting dynamically the target URL in receiver SOAP Adapter

    Hi,
    I'm setting dynamically (from the mapping) the target URL in the receiver SOAP adapter:
    String url = "http://mosxd30:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=&senderService=DUM&receiverParty=&receiverService=&interface=SI_OA_CustomInvoiceData&interfaceNamespace=urn:repsol.com:laboratory:firma";
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/SOAP", "TServerLocation");
    conf.put(key, url);
    The receiver adapter fails with:
    "invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 401 Unauthorized"
    Reading weblogs, etc, the most probable cause for this is a wrong target URL, but then what I did was to set it as a fixed URL in the C.Channel, and it worked, so the URL is fine.
    In the communication channel, I'm using "Configure user authentication", with a user and password, and what I think it's happening is that if I use another different URL dynamically, the channel is ignoring the user authentication settings.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    I forgot to say that I've checked the SAP note "FAQ Soap adapter", and it says:
    Q: I get an authorization error "401 Unauthorized" from the adapter's servlet. What went wrong?
               A: The adapter's servlet is protected by default. You must use one of the user names assigned in security role xi_adapter_soap_message for component XISOAPAdapter. Please consult the documentation for Visual Administrator to view and change the security setting.
               The user authentication of the SOAP adapter is not part of the SOAP adapter but of the web container of the J2EE engine. The default authentication setting is defined in the web.xml descriptor file of the SOAP dapter web application. This setting may be modified from Visual Administrator with some restriction. Please refer to the security documentation for the J2EE engine.
               Please note that 710 onwards there is no Visual Administrator instead the Netweaver Administrator is to be used to assign the roles to the user to access the SOAP adater servlet.The user must be assigned one of the following roles SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER, SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER, SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE, SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE.
    The target URL is a sender soap adapter (the result of one interface is sent to another one via soap adapter), and it's this one which is complaining because of the authentication I think. But I don't know why it's ignoring the user authentication flag I'm using.

  • : invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Redirect

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing with the flowing error when we are receiving for the soap receiver chanel.
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Redirect
    is their any content type to give in soap receiver channel.
    please let me know.
    Regards
    Raju

    I think the message is misleading. HTTP 302 meaning is that the url specified in not found or invalid for that service. You might want to check with external system that the specified URL in the SOAP receiver communication channel is right? Also you can find the URL from the WSDL itself. Similar test do it outside PI using the SOAPUI or XMLSPY and see the response error.

  • How to register non-wsdl based URL in OEG

    How do we register a non-wsdl based URL endpoint in OEG? We had no problem registering a simple WSDL based endpoint on an OEG server. However we cannot find documentation on how to secure/register a RESTful or JSON – URL based service (SOAP, XML over HTTP type service).
    Does this functionality exist? Or are there best practices on what to do with OEG for these types of services?
    Our use case looks like:
    Akamai - - > OEG - -> OSB (WSDL, RESTful, JSON type web services) - -> .Net service (WSDL, RESTful, JSON type web services)

    In case of REST and other non-WSDL type services, there is no SOAP/WSDL based web service like registration process, you'd use OEG as the proxy. You can receive REST based requests at OEG, retrieve parameters (there are convenience filters available for retrieval of attribute values and other types of REST related functions in OEG, as part of the Policy library, "Extract REST Request Attribute", "Validate REST filter", "Create REST Request" etc. - search for REST at the top using Policy Studio, drag it on to canvas and click help for docs on these filters) and do the routing to actual REST end point services. You have the option to receive and use the SOAP message as a basis of generation of the REST url.
    REST to SOAP - http://www.soatothecloud.com/2008/11/how-to-convert-from-rest-to-soap.html
    SOAP to REST - http://markoneill.sys-con.com/node/1989916
    On use with JSON: you can convert XML to JSON on the outbound side to serve mobile clients etc. using script based(standard XSLT) conversions at the gateway. Conversions to Java using google gson library is also an option.
    To register a REST service, simply map the path (e.g. "/MyRESTService") to the policy you're using to process the REST request.
    Let's say you want to simply route a REST request through OEG (e.g. - to OSB). You would create a policy (right-click on "Policies" and add it). Drag in a "Static Router" filter and place in it the hostname and port of the host you want to route to (e.g. - to OSB). Then right-click on it and choose "Set as start" so that it is the first thing which is processed for this REST request. Then drag in a "Connection" filter, and chain it (using a green arrow) after the Static Router filter. The "Connection" filter actually makes the connection to the backend host.
    Now, map the path (using "Add Relative Path") to the service so that if a REST request to "/MyRESTService" or "/MyRESTService/something" comes into OEG, it is routed on to the backend host.
    Deploy your policy (using F6 or the "deploy" button on the Policy Studio toolbar). Then send in your REST request.
    There is actually already a simple REST service setup on OEG, called "healthcheck". If you point a browser to http://<OEG_IP_ADDRESS:8080/healthcheck" then this is run.
    If the backend REST service returns JSON, the response JSON will simply be sent back through OEG.

  • Substitution variable for Web Service URLs

    Hello all,
    I'm building some RESTful web service references into an Apex 4 application.
    I have a requirement to incorporate different web service URLs, depending on the environment (Dev, Test, Live etc.).
    I'd like to design this so that Apex can pick up the URL from a substitution variable, and I'm not able to do this.
    Can anyone help with this, or suggest a workaround?
    Thanks,
    Rhodri

    Hi Jason,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Could you please explain where you used the substitution variable as the URL Endpoint of your REST Web service reference?
    I'm trying to create a Rest Webservice reference (Shared Components > Edit REST Web Reference) and use the substitution variable as the URL in the definition, and &SUBST_VAR. does not seem to work there.
    Thanks,
    Rhodri
