URL's of graphs in IE7

Hello,
I have an application developed in PDK that shows a URL's of graphs that come from BW,the application work well under IE6, but with IE7 no. The URL shows the graph under IE7 when URL is executed in type URL iview and when load directly in a windows browser, but within the application pdk that is executed in iview of the Portal does not work. The application this done in Webdynpro under SP19 and either does not work the URL's of BW under IE7.
The Portal this in the SP 19.
They have some idea to solve this problem?

Is this an external facing portal?  Or using shortend URL's?  I recall that SPS19 had the fix in for IE7 but, there was something else dynpros still being messed up because of an IE7 security setting.
On a test box, put IE7 to the lowest possable security settings and try it then.

  • Add anchor to resp URL via DynamoHttpServletResponse.sendRedirect in IE7

    Right now redirecting the user to a URL with an anchor like so:
    response.sendRedirect("/fake_page.html#fake_anchor");
    where 'response' is a DynamoHttpServletRequest, succeeds in any browser other than IE7. For some reason, IE7 truncates the URL at the hashtag, so the browser redirects only to "/fake_page.html" instead of "/fake_page.html#fake_anchor". Many hacks seem to have been posted all around the web, but I could not find any concrete reasons as to why this happens or a reasonable workaround.
    Does anyone have any experience or insight with this problem?

    %23 is interpreted as that as a character in the URL instead of a special character signifying an anchor.

  • Can't test actual url and displays differently in ie7

    Hi, I am having a couple of problems in testing the current page I am working on in internet explorer. I am working using a Macbook Pro with OS X Lion.
    1. I am unable to test / preview the actual url using browser-lab, and all I can see are blank black or white pages. It is a public url and the website is built in Drupal. I am able to view another Drupal site I had created without problem. This only happens when I am testing using internet explorer, and for instance I can see the page fine when I test using Chrome 13.0 for windows. The url is http://ampleo.mx
    2. The second problem is that when I have been testing by previewing local source code using Firefox firebug, pretty much all of the content appears squashed to the left. However when I have viewed the page in a real version of IE 7 or in any Mac Browser, then I am not seeing the same behavior and the content is displayed normally horizontally.
    I am still quite new to web design so I would appreciate any thoughts on whether this is a problem with my code, or just with the way browserlab interprets pages.
    Thanks
    Simon

    I can reproduce #1. I'm not sure what's going on but we'll look into it in the new year.
    I'm not sure about #2. We've seen similar problems due to our testing at 1024x768 vs most people having greater resolutions. Can you drop your resolution to 1024x768, try it in your local browser, and if you don't see any issue with your page, attach a screenshot here?
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • WebCenter Web Page Not Displaying Correctly

    Has anyone ever seen this error? *"Skip navigation elements to page contents"*
    The page is completely scrambled. Nothing displays correctly. It only happens when I try to restrict access to the page. Here's the page restriction within the web.xml file.
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>NonAdminPages</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>faces/Graphs.jspx</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>users</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    When I use this, it works correctly:
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>NonAdminPages</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>users</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    Of course, when I use the above url pattern, it gives everyone access to all of the pages.
    Also, I tried deleting the oracle-desktop-10_1_3_3_0-en-ie-6-windows-s.css file in the "\WEB-INF\temp\adf\styles\cache\" directory. This did not work. (I read that this might fix the error from Bug No. 5616568)
    Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Graphic builder ( to run Drilldown granphs on a web )

    How can i run my existing drilldown graphs on a web.
    I am having IIS as application server.
    I don't want to call my graphs from reports as reports.
    If it is possible to call graphs with the help of graphics server then I want detailed information about how to configure it and how to set urls to run graphs on a web through graphics server including information about required virtual directories.
    Thanks in advance,
    Debashish Ghosh.

    We have already explained it: You cannot configure a web site to run arbitrary code on a computer that connects to your web server. That would be a violation of security. Imagine if this were possible: A web site that could run any program on your computer?
    What if the program is malicious? (In fact, you actually are wanting to do something some would consider malicious: Deleting files!) The implications should be obvious.
    The answer is that your project is doomed to failure and will not work the way you want. You will need to stop trying to do this and approach your problem some other way.

  • Audigy 2 NX internal processing, resampling

    I am trying to figure out what has been determined about the internal processing and resampling in Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy 2 cards.
    I have a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX for my laptop computer. I am wondering whether this performs resampling and processing at 48 kHz, as was found to be the case with the first generation of Audigy cards.
    Audigy 2 NX is an external device that interfaces via USB 2.0. The specifications indicate recording up to 24-bit, 96 kHz. So the question is whether that is an honest spec, or if it is a continuation of the misleading specs of the Audigy first-generation line. The Wikipedia article describes Audigy second generation devices as "recording at 24-bit precision up to 96 kHz, thereby overcoming the single biggest criticism of its predecessor. However, the DSP again was limited to 16-bit at 48 kHz, so all DSP effects had to be disabled to prevent harmful resampling."
    I gather from the Wikipedia article that the Audigy 2 NX doesn't actually have a DSP chip. In addition, the way I use the card is indeed to disable all the DSP effects (which are presumably software-based in the absence of a DSP chip). (I like someone's description of sound card DSP effects as "kiddie effects".)
    Therefore, given that the Audigy 2 NX does not have on-board DSP processing, and I have disabled DSP processing anyway, I think the card may be producing true sampling at whatever allowed rate I choose up to 96 kHz, without 48 kHz internal resampling. That is, I think but am not quite certain. I am aiming to record at 44.1 kHz.
    Note: I am well aware that Creative's products are not considered pro-level. It cost me $40 as a refurb. Depending on whether this device doesn't do some silly processing internally that I haven't asked it to do, it may turn out to be a resonably good knockaround device for input and output when low latency is not required.

    > I had a look at the online reviews, and there don't seem to be many even vaguely technical ones around
    That's the thing. I would think at least one engineer would have dug in, but this unit may have been too uncommon.
    I had actually read the Tom's Hardware article, but via a different URL (which includes graphs):
    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/usb-2,711-13.html
    Unfortunately, even with test graphs, they did not clearly define precisely what is being measured. "Frequency response" I assume refers to output. It does show energy output above 24 kHz in 96 kSamp/S mode.
    So, even the Tom's Hardware review does not absolutely clarify the situation. I think what you may have noticed on page 8 of that review was this: "Naturally, reading 5.1 tracks at 24 bits/96 kHz is something that the Audigy 2 NX is capable of. However, the card is limited to 16 bits/48 kHz."
    That actually jibes with the specs in the user's guide, when using the device with USB 1.1. The full table from the user's guide:
    Speaker mode Function USB 1.1 USB 2.0
    2.0 Playback Up to 24-bit/96 kHz Up to 24-bit/96 kHz
    #Record Up to 24-bit/96 kHz Up to 24-bit/96 kHz
    4/5.1 Playback Up to 24-bit/48 kHz Up to 24-bit/96 kHz
    #Record Up to 24-bit/96 kHz Up to 24-bit/96 kHz
    7.1 Playback Up to 16-bit/48 kHz Up to 24-bit/96 kHz
    #Record Up to 24-bit/96 kHz Up to 24-bit/96 kHz
    # Note that configurations are available only if there is enough bandwidth. Simultaneous playback and recording at 24-bit/96 kHz on USB 1.1 is not possible
    In other words: playback through 4+ speakers using USB 1.1 is limited to 48 kHz. With USB 2.0: limited 96 kHz for any number of speakers.
    The Tom's Hardware review was written in 2003, apparently in the presence of questionable support for USB 2.0: "It will only be able to give full measure when upgraded USB management through Windows XP becomes available from Microsoft and when Creative upgrades its system accordingly to enable 24-bit/96 kHz data-streams to pass through the USB connection. Hopefully, this should happen before the end of the year."
    The page also has this regarding resampling: "Note that the Audigy 2 NX, like the other Creative cards, operates at 48 kHz for EAX effects. Operation at 44.1 kHz thus uses a resampling method that has a negative effect." However, when EAX effects are disabled (as they always are for me), it is unclear to me what happens.
    Another report from 2003 (I think) was David Griesinger's PowerPoint presentation. Very amusing. From slide 8 onward: "All I needed was a good quality sound card that would record and playback 96kHz. Many manufacturers seem to offer such a thing at reasonable prices. I chose one by the most popular manufacturer lets call them 'C'.... Although you could set the device to record at 96kHz, signals above 23kHz would not record.... I decided to buy a USB based device that did 96/24, as this would be useful for demos from my laptop such as at this lecture.... But this external board would also not record or play above 23kHz.... 'Are ANY of your boards actually capable of operating at 96kHz?'.... 'NO.... In fact, none of our competitors do either We all have 96/24 converters, but we run them at 48kHz.'"
    Much of DG's discussions with manufacturers back in 2003 ended up being about USB stuff. I'll have to see what happens with proper USB 2.0 running in the modern era.
    I'll take a look at RightMark.

  • Firefox 4 fails to recognize a "Next" link on a secure Humana page unless I paste the link page address in the URL window, but IE7 treats the link just fine.

    With the Humana Drug Pricing sequence, you enter a drug name and amount, click "Next" and you get a page for a nearby pharmacy locator. Click on "Next" on this page and you get a page with the retail price for your particular Humana plan. Works just fine with IE7 and Opera 11.11, but with Firefox 4 clicking on the second "Next" link has no effect at all. If I copy the full URL for the desired page from IR7 and paste it in the Firefox 4 URL location window, Firefox does go to that page correctly.

    That behaviour is likely top be caused by an add-on, and in your case the likely culprit is IE Tab 2, the various versions of IE Tab have caused problems with Firefox 4 beta including issues with the location bar not being updated.
    You can test to see if IE Tab 2 is causing your problem by disabling it and then seeing if the location bar in a new window shows the address. If it is not that add-on causing the problem, see [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
    For info, the IE Tab Plus add-on has been updated recently to improve compatibility with Firefox 4 beta, you may want to try that one instead. The latest version is available from http://coralietab.mozdev.org/installation.html

    I have a movie using QTNEXT and HREF/AUTOHREF to send related pages into IFRAMEs on the page. the QTNEXT params are working just fine in IE7, in that it plays all movies sequentially, but the URL extensions to change the HREF and other options like the controller aren't working at all. <PARAM name="QTNEXT3" VALUE="<movie4.mov> T<myself> E<CONTROLLER=true>">
    </OBJECT>
    If I do the same thing is firefox, using embed, it all works fine:
    <EMBED type="video/quicktime" width="320" height="260" pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/" id='qtMovie' enablejavascript="true" controller="false" src="movie1.mov" href="page1.html" target="frame1" autohref="true" autoplay="true" cache="false" AllowEmbedTagOverrides="true" QTNEXT1="<movie2.mov> T<myself> E<AUTOHREF=true HREF=page2.html CONTROLLER=false TARGET=frame2>" QTNEXT2="<movie3.mov> T<myself> E<AUTOHREF=true HREF=page3.html TARGET=frame1 >" QTNEXT3="<movie4.mov> T<myself> E<CONTROLLER=true >"></EMBED>
    It seems like for some reason the "E" extension isnt being read by IE7. I'm using qt 7.1.5.
    thanks.

    I haven't heard a report that IE7 has trouble with QT's embed tag though I'm not so attentive since I don't use IE any more. I know that it may have trouble with Flash's embed tag, in which case, for example, if you use Adobe dreamweaver, you can insert an additional java script (AC_RunActiveContent.js) to make it possible for IE users to read Flash movies. You may perhaps want to address your issue at forums for your web application.

However, I want *others* to be able to see that graph, too - not necessarily admins (ie, management types). I don't want them to have to log into the app to see it, either. In some docs I've seen an option called "copy link to page", which seems like EXACTLY what I'd like to do - copy the link to the page I'm looking at, and then send that link to the others that I want to be able to see it.  (see https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1552961/html/GUID-E000CFC4-C568-4181-AAB5-790BF331FD6C.html). However, that option does not show up under my "Actions" pulldown, like the link above says it should. Does anyone know where to find this option, and/or how to acomplish the same thing ? I was thinking there must be a "standard" url that points to these types of graphs, but can't find any reference to that, though.     Thanks,      John

    Hi John, From the output you shared it looks like you using Performance Advisor and want to share a graph of a 7-mode system.  The instructions link you shared is from Performance Manager which is for Clustered Data ONTAP only.  In the Performance Advisor there is unfortunately no way to share a link.  You can 'save as' to png as you probably already saw, or you can use the dfm CLI to generate the same and email, perhaps as a daily report.  There is also a data collector that will post to the NetApp ToolChest that submits data to Graphite with dashboards in Grafana.  This solution would allow sharing of a URL like you desire.  If you want more info on this let me know. Kind Regards,Chris MaddenStorage Architect, NetApp

    I started windows in safe mode then i double clicked on itunes while holding the shift and control key it told me itunes was in safe mode.
    Okay ... so you started Windows in safe mode and then started iTunes in safe mode.
    Restart Windows in normal mode, and then try launching just iTunes in safe mode. What happens then?
    (Trying to work out which of the safe modes you've been applyingis having an impact on iTunes launch.)

  • After scannic the "graph code" my android HTC hero finds the URL, but I get a "the requested item couldn't be found" msg after hitting the download for android button..ng

    I've tried twice yesterday, and once now.
    [email protected]

    Sorry, Firefox 4 beta is not available for the HTC Hero. Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
    Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.
    Or, if you have a supported phone, you can download the app directly from here:
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/4.0b3/android-r7/multi/
    (Note: To download the app directly for an AT&T phone, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)
