Use last value if new value not avaliable after a certain amount oft time
Hey guys,
So I want the loop below to execute every half second,
however the "read power in" VI takes around 5 seconds to return a value, which means the loop can only operate every 5 seconds (it waits on a value from the "read power in" VI.
Is there a way to tell the program to use the last value of power returned from "get power" every 0.5 seconds if no new value has been returned?
Ahhh, I see why you did this. I thought that diagram looked familiar. You posted this question: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Search-string-value-to-return-integer/td-p/1330516
You need to use a USR (uninitialised shift register) to remember what the last string was that was not processed and prepend it to the last one. Attached is an example. The inner loop breaks up the string but remembers where it was broken the last time to allow it to spit out the next part of the string on it's next call. The outter loop reassembles the string and only spits it out if it has gotten a full string.

My iphone says that icloud has not been backed up in 2 weeks...but after several attemps to back up, it continues to say "the latest backup did not complete"...I did have the phone plugged into my computer & connected to wi-fi..and it was locked...any idea why it won't complete the backup? it says total storage is 5.0 GB & available is 3.3 GB
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Firefox will open but not load any new tabs or windows after a set amount of time.
After about a day of my computer running, Firefox will stop being able to browse the web at all. Any attempt to open a new window, tab, or refresh an old tab will result in the program not doing anything, or opening a new window/tab with (Untitled) in it. The window cannot be navigated away from this, and will not refresh. Closing Firefox does not solve the problem, nor does ending the process. The only way to restore Firefox's functionality is to restart my machine.
hello spitcher, other users with this problem all had an embedded intel hd3000 graphics card with an old driver present. in case this also applies to you, here would be a link to update the driver, which in turn should also address the black firefox problem: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764 (for win7 64 bit)
in case this doesn't solve the issue or does not apply to your system, start firefox into safemode '''by pressing the shift key while the application is launching''' & disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

Troubleshooting Guide: Audio does not Work after a Certain Period of Time
Hello everyone, Thanks for choosing the HP Forums! If your sound recently stopped working on Windows 8.x or Windows Server 2012, and you suspect a Windows Update is involved, then look no further! This is the troubleshooting guide that will explain how to resolve the issue! Explanation: Currently, there is a Windows update that may be causing the sound on your computer to stop working. The update is KB2962407, and it is now an “Important” update. That means that it will be installed by Windows Update unless you hide it. This thread also covers generic sound troubleshooting that can resolve "no sound" issues. Before tackling the update itself, since a Windows update may not be the culprit, there is some troubleshooting that can be done. A Round of Troubleshooting: 1. Running the Audio Troubleshooting in Windows 8 can resolve the issue. It does contain the ability to eliminate any setting that affects sound. Here are some steps on how to run this troubleshooter: a) Hold down the “Windows” and “R” key and then type “troubleshooting” and hit Enter.b) A window will open. On the left, click “View All”, then “Playing Audio”.c) Click “Advanced” and run it as Administrator. Then click “Next” to complete the process. 2. Try creating a new user account. The changes forced by the update may only affect one user. This HP document shows you how to create a new user under the “Creating a new account in Windows 8” section: Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 8) 3. Try a pair of headphones or external speakers. It will rule out where the issue lies if sound does not work through a second or third output device. 4. Another solution is to uninstall the driver manually then force it to be installed again:a) Open Device Manager, and go to the “Sound, video and game controller” section.b) Right-click on your audio driver and select “uninstall”.c) Restart the computer. This will force the hardware to write a new driver upon startup. 5. Finally, make sure that the remaining steps that you haven't tried from this document are attempted: No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8) New Inclusions: Disabling and enabling the sound driver has been tested with successful results enough for me to post here. These are the instructions to do this: a) Open Device Manager, and go to the “Sound, video and game controller” section.b) Right-click on your audio driver and select “disable”.c) Wait a minute, then right-click on it and select "enable" Also, A System Restore is also a valid troubleshooting step. This will return the computer to a point before the update and/or external source of the issue occurred. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: System Restore If you want something stronger, a Windows Refresh completely refreshes Windows 8, without affecting files: Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8) Also, here is a Windows sound troubleshooting tutorial. Just out of curiosity, I re-created the issue on a Windows 8 computer and went through this tutorial. It was able to resolve the issue: No sound in Windows *Everything in italics is currently un-tested, but will be tested as soon as possible. I believe these steps will help: In the search bar, type "services.msc" and hit Enter. Hold down the "Windows" key and "R" key. Type "services.msc" and hit Enter. Look for the following services: - Audio Service- Windows Audio- Windows Audio Endpoint Builder I want you to right-click each of those services, and select "Stop". When they are all stopped, right-click on each one again, and select "Start". As well, make sure each service's status is "Started" and their startup type is "Automatic". Troubleshooting the Update: At this point, unless you want to reinstall the operating system, the only other option is to tackle the update, KB2962407. Please note that the following troubleshooting is ONLY a workaround, for now, and only should be done if the computer has installed this update. First, you can try the Hotfix in this Microsoft document, specifically to address KB2962407: Windows RT, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012 update rollup: June 2014 If that doesn't help, then uninstalling the Windows Update, and then hiding it, is the only method of eliminating the issue if it caused by this update. Here is the procedure for uninstalling the update: 1. Go into Control Panel, then click on “Programs and Features”.2. Click on “View Installed Updates”. Look for the update with the ID number KB2962407.3. Right-click on the update and select “Uninstall”. Restart the computer. Next, here is the procedure for hiding the update: 1. Go into Control Panel, then click on “Windows Updates”.2. Click on “Check for Updates”. When the process is completed, is should find important update(s) available. Clicking on the message will open a window where the important update(s) is.3. Right-click on the KB2962407 update and select “Hide Update”. This will prevent the update from being installed next time Windows Updates are being installed. Conclusion:
At the end of this guide, you will have sound working again (assuming that the cause was the Windows Update, or at least software-based). Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks!
MarioHello everyone Thank you so much for making use of my thread, dedicated to resolve the issue. I appreciate all the feedback For those who are still experiencing issues, please reply to this post with the following information, and I can continue to assist: 1. The computer's model number. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website: Guide to finding your notebook product number 2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system. (Make sure to include whether it's 32 or 64 bit.) 3. Does this occur on certain programs, or all programs? 4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared? 5. What steps have been attempted from my first post on this thread, and what were the results? Additionally, if the issue just began occurring, I would perform a system restore. I want you to bring the computer back to the earliest restore point possible, in an attempt to dodge whatever caused the issue. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: System Restore Thanks again for all the continued support! Mario

Ok. So I just changed my ADMINISTRATIVE ROOT PASSWORD the other day and when I tried to log in today I forgot it. I tried different variations of
the password I had set, because I wasn't sure if i had maybe set it in Caps Lock or used a different number in the sequence. I got the message several times
about "too many attempts, try again later". Does the computer lock me from signing in even with the correct password after a certain amount of failed
attempts? If so, how long does this lock last for? When can I try again? Or is there something I need to do to remove that lock now? I'm pretty sure I
had the right password finally but it still wouldn't accept it.
Also, I don't have any other administrative users set up on my macbook pro. I'm the only one who uses it, so I've always just used that original User from my

Do this:
1. Reboot
2. Hold apple key + s key down after you hear the chime. (command + s on newer Macs)
3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
(Type these commands very carefully)
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can change the passord on the old one. -
Just for the future on the ipad air there seems to be a white screen glitch after a certain amount of use. This needs to be fixed thanks
You are not talking to Apple here. We are all users trying to help one another solve issues with their iPads.
I have an iPad Air and have never experienced something that I would call a " white screen glitch."
Please explain exactly what is happening on your iPad, what you might have tried to fix it and what, if any, error messages you receive. -
do i have to charge my replacement macbook pro batter for a certain amount of time before using the computer?
First, if you have a Late 2008 or older MacBook Pro, you should calibrate the battery, as the battery for these MacBooks don't come precalibrated > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Then, the battery should come charged, so use it until the battery percentage is low, and then, charge it. You can use your Mac while your battery is being charged, and your MacBook will stop charging the battery when your battery is full, so you can unplug it at any moment -
How to modify person or group field value with new value
Hi
I have person or group field having property Person Only.
Thsi firls already have one value. Now I want to update it but this code to update value is not working.
string myName = @"ABC\myname";
web.EnsureUser(myName);
SPUser myUser = web.SiteUsers[myName];
SPFieldUserValue myNamevlaue = new SPFieldUserValue(web, myUser.ID, myUser.LoginName);
oSplistItem["My_x0020_User"] = myNamevalue;
oSplistItem.Update();
I am getting myNamevalue correct in the veriable. But why its not updating in the list?
is there any issue in the above code?
Do I need to delete previous value and then update new value in this field? How?Hi,
The format of the user value in people/Group field must be
ID;#Name, you can use the following code snippets to update the people/group field.
string loginName = "ABC\\myname";
SPUser user = web.SiteUsers[loginName];
SPList list = web.Lists.TryGetList("ListName");
if (list == null)
Console.WriteLine("list is not exist!");
return;
SPListItem item = list.GetItemById(3);
item["My_x0020_User"] = user.ID.ToString() + ";#" + user.Name;
item.Update();
Thanks,
Jason

Compare previous value and new value on Campaign Save
Hi All,
I create a campaign. I need some exit ( badi etc.) which is called before saving the campaign and after saving the campaign. My main intention is to compare the previous value and the new value.
Thanks in advance,
RavirajYes, you would have to write code that specifically compared each column. And update that code when the column list changed. Of course, you could always write code that generated your triggers for you based on the column definitions.
On the other hand, I would tend to suggest that if you need an audit history, you want to store the whole row. Otherwise, the queries necessary to parse your audit table get to be hideously complicated and people spend a lot of time trying to reconstruct the state of a row at a particular point in time, often introducing errors.
If you need an audit history, I would also tend to look into Oracle's auditing features or something like Workspace Manager that automatically tracks a version history for rows. Both of those are built into the database, which tends to make them a lot easier to deal with than a custom trigger solution.

Do notes disappear after a certain time?
The earliest entry in the Notes app has disappeared. Do they get deleted after a certain time or if I have inadvertantly deleted it can i get it back from icloud somehow?
They never expire - at least from iCloud. I still have some five year old notes.

Dear all,
I have a collection based on a query.
After inserting a value in the collection and submitting, the record with the value is submitted to the database.
But my collection does not show the value, how can i have my collection to show the values inserted/updated?
Thanks,
DianaTry issuing an explicit COMMIT. That should help. Explained here:

Replacing the old value with new value on the website
Hi ,
I have two input fields CLIN # and PR#.When i enter the text,for the first it is working fine,second time when i enter it is replacing the value which i enter with the first one.I should not replace the old value.
ex:
Example when i enter test5 for the first time
CLIN # :Test 5
Next when i enter Test6 ,this value replaces the first one
CLIN#: Test6
CLIN#:Test6(there is no test5)
I am doing for my istore application.Any ideasAs the user that created the anonymous block ruun:
select count(*) from general_acct_mast_table;
and
select tbaadm.count(*) from general_acct_mast_table;I strongly suspect that they are actually two different tables, and the tbaadm version is substantially larger that the non-qualified one.
In any case I would not be doing this as a row-by-row procedure. I would create two lookup tables like:
create table masked_general as
select acid, foracid, round(dbms_random.value(81000000,85000000)) masked
from (select distinct acid, foracid
from general_acct_mast_table
where acct_ownership not in ('O'));
create table masked_stmnt as
select * from masked_general;
alter table masked_general add constraint masked_general_pk
primary key (acid);
alter table masked_stmnt add constraint masked_stmnt_pk
primary key (foracid);Then do the updates as:
update (select g.foracid, g.acid, gm.masked
from general_acct_mast_table g
join masked_general gm
on g.acid = gm.acid)
set foracid = masked;
update (select s.foracid, sm.masked
from mini_stmnt_details_table s
join masked_stmnt sm
on s.foracid = sm.acid)
set foracid = masked;Note that this assumes that both acid and foracid are individually unique in general_acct_mast_table, which seems to be implied by your procedure, and that you want to be able to roll the whole thing back if there are problems (that is, you do not want to commit between the update of general_acct_mast_table and mini_stmnt_details_table).
I would also probably a a verification step after creating the first masked table to ensire that you did get unique vluaes back fo the masked column.

I used itunes to sync new ipad, not everything came over
I used itunes to sync between my mac and a new ipad. My old ipad had a few playlists with the media to play them. I also had been using itunes with this older ipad so I thought that these playlists and media would come over the new ipad after syncing it. They didn't, nor did the media to play them. How can I bring these playlists and media into the new ipad?
Did you select the playlists to sync in the music pane of iTunes? They must be selected to sync to the device. I'm not sure that I know what you mean when are talking about the media to play the songs. You have to sync the songs to the iPad as well and then you play the songs in the music app on the iPad.

Fairly new battery not charging after not being used for a while
My computer (Elitebook 2530p) has not been used for a while, perhaps a month or two. The battery used to hold for over 3 hours of light use.
Now, the battery won't charge with the message "0% available (plugged in, not charging)"
I can't find a battery refresh utility in the BIOS, or any way to interact with the battery. Is there something I'm missing? Should the battery just go dead after not being used for a while?
Update: fixed typoI've run the HP battery check and got the code REOOW. Battery is dead, and I am out of warranty. I can't think of any possible reason why this should have happened.
What does this code (REOOW) mean?
