Use month in calculation

I have to use the value of just month from user provided Calendear Month/year. I know the code to do this would be
if i_step = 2.
    loop at i_t_var_range into z_t_var_range where vnam = '0CMLMON'.
    z_month = z_t_var_range-low+4(2).
    l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    l_s_range-low = z_month.
    append l_s_range to e_t_range.
    endloop.
endif.
My Question is how can I use this value in Formula. Where do I declare the custom variable. I tried formula variable but it seems to be not working.

As per my understand , Once user provide the date input based on that you need select only month.
The above requirement can be done using customer exit only.It can't be done using Formula or C.K.F.
So create a customer exit variable with type customer exit and proceed further.

How do I calculate IRR using months, not years

When using the IRR funtion in Numbers for Mac (internal rate of return), how do I let the formula know that my time period is months and not years? In the Excel function, there is an extra arugment in the function that allows you to select the dates and the cash flow for that date. In the Numbers version, you can only select the cash flows, there is no variable for the dates. I believe that the function in Numbers automatically assumes you are using years when in fact my cash flows are represented in months (monthly rent from properties). The function description in Numbers clearly states that you can use months so I must be missing something. The examples that Numbers provides for using the IRR function all assume the cash flows are in years.
For non-finance people, the time frame makes an enourmous difference. If you invest $1.00 with me today and a year from now I give you back $2.00, your return on investment is 100% (you doubled your money) and your IRR is 100% because it took exactly 1 year. But if I wait five years to give you the $2.00, the return on investment is still 100% (still doubled your money) but the IRR is 20% because it took five years. Not as good a deal for you and the IRR represents that. In these scenarios, I can calcullate the IRR using Numbers. But what if I give you the money back after 6 months? Or after 18 months? Or give you .25 cents each month for 8 months? The IRR will be MUCH different. How do I tell Numbers my intervals are not in years?

IRR works identically in Numbers and in Office. If that's not the function you want, that's another issue. Here's your IRR calculation in Office (LibreOffice):

If your payment series is in uniform time periods, why would you use anything besides IRR?

TS3999 can't see times of my icloud calendar events when using month view...

I use a macbook pro and like to view my icloud calendar using month view so I can see the whole month at a glance.
It used to be that when I viewed my calendar using Google Chrome, the time of each event would show next to the event name. Recently, this changed and now the month view just shows the events, not the times. This is also true for my macbook ical - month view only shows events, no times.
Is there an option to allow the times to show when using month view? I looked in preferences and didn't see one.
Also, as a side note, I tested in Firefox and the times DO show when using month view. I just prefer using my ical or chrome, so would love to figure out a way to fix there.

I created Formula variables and used them in calculations but it is not working as desered.
Lets Take this scenario
Open Time (Char-TIMS) value in Cube : 08:30:00
Closed Time (Char-TIMS) value in Cube : 10:00:00
The store is opened at 08:30 and Closed at 10:00 so the result expected by calculation WORKED HOURS :1.5 Hrs
But When i converted open time char to formula variable it is converting 08:30:00 to 83000 and Closed time 10:00:00 to 100000 and result of cal is 170000
Please advise me on how to proceed

POC aggregated ok in CNE5 on WBSe level 1, but not used in RA calculation

Hi all,
I have a WBS structure with let's say 2 levels of WBSe, one WBse at level 1, 2 at level 2.
I want to :
- calculate the POCs at WBSe level 2, then aggregate them at level 1, using weighted WBSe.
- run the RA calculation for all WBSe.
The first part is working ok with measurement methods in WBSe, weights in CJ20n on WBSe level 2 : transaction CNE1 to calculate POC, then transaction CNE5 : I get the correct POC on level 2, and the aggregated POC at level 1.
But when I run the result-analysis calculation (KKAJ) for the whole project : POC is displayed correctly on WBSe level 2, but the aggregated POC is not used in WBSe level 1, and therefore RA results are wrong at level 1 : I always get 0 in the POC for the WBSe level 1, or sometimes 100 if I play with the OKG3 parameters.
The only clue I have is that, in table COSR used to store the POC, on the SKF for Result-Analysis usage, I get 3 lines :
- one with value type P1, with 0 on all the line
- one with value type P2, with the correct aggregated POC value, Business transaction PEV1
one exactly the same as above, but with negative values and Business transaction PEV2.
Don't know if it is the reason for this aggregated POC nt to be used in RA calculation.

I am currently working on R12 implementation, I have requirement where business has to calculate the USE tax and withhold it from being paid to the supplier in case if use tax is not mentioned on the Invoice and pay it to tax authorities directly by business. Our client has Vertax third party tax engine. now the question is does it works same as it is in oracle payables in cases if client want to use vertax to calculate tax. How oracle behaves for withholding tax when vertax is used for tax calculations.

Hi, I need to create a dashboard filter using month names in a between statement for examples:
From: January - To August
the problem is when I do this the Obiee server made a filter by alphabetic order, so for the example the result will be nothing (because A is prior to J)...
How can I solve this

I can say workaround for this,what ever date parameter you want to convert to january....december
you can make an alias of that column as said above and write the filter on that date with a sql statement example as follows
select to_char(sysdate,'FMmonth') from dual
same way you take your requirement as select to_char(*your_date_column*,'FMmonth') from your_table

For example:

I want to add today and rentday to get dueday. I've try to use "dueday=today + rentday", but error.

How to get currect date by using month and year

By using month like 'Jul' and year like 2007 i want to get full date like 01/06/2007(format).Please give me query for this?My fields for month and year are respectively vr_mnth(varchar) and in_year(number)

i used to_date function but it accepts only one string .if i give like this
to_date(vr_mnth,in_year,'dd/mm/yy') it will gives me syntax error.
If i give like this vr_mtnh='Jan'
to_date(vr_mtnh,'Mon') it will give output
01/01/2008 it shows me current year
if i choose from table wich is strored with month-'Jul' and year=2006 it shows me
01/07/2008 only .It doesn't shows me that 2006 year
If i give in_year in to_date it gives me that currect year.
Ex:to_date(in_year,'YY')..............>01/01/2006

The app was for aniverseries, birthdays and service reminders etc which I had already entered.
I have Synced and backed up on my MacBook regularly, but other than a complete restore of my system, I do not know how to find and cherry pick individual apps, or even if it is possible to do such a thing.
After all this time I am not even sure of the original name of the lost app.
this sounds a bit fable ! (and the spell check on this is not good either, not very good suggestions !)

Use 0fiscper (only month) for calculation in a formula

Hi experts,
i have a BEx scenario and i need your help. i wanna create a key figure based on a formula.
Content of the formula:
1.) Key figur "TB" = Total Budget
2.) constant value e.g.'12'
3.) Variable 0fiscper; it is a user input variable e.g. 003.2008 but i need only the month/per --> "3"
Formula: (TB / 12)x UserInput Variable (3)
My problem:
how can i modify the char. 0fiscper to use it in a way it works in my formula?

I have a char, 0fiscper and an exit for it. the user input is 003.2008 and the exit create a constant "3" from 0fiscper.
But how can i take advantage the constant in my formula. In which way can i refer the constant in my formula?

How to use Dynamic date calculation in some transactions.

Hello everyone.
I have to create some dynamic variants using the dynamic date calculation. The problem is that in some transactions it´s not possible to use some variables that can round a value. For example: in transaction /SAPAPO/MC90, I need to fix 3 months in the horizon like this: From date: 01.01.2009 To date 31.03.2009. The current month is 01.01.2009. Next month the current month will be february, so the horizon would be 01.02.2009 to 30.04.2009.
In 5.1 version, it´s impossible to fix the months, because the options that appear in the match code are:
Current Date
Current date +/- ??? days
current date +/- ??? work days
First day of current month
nth working day of current month
First day of next month
First day of previous month
Last day of previous month
Last Day of the Current Month
Does anybody knows how to do this? This is happening in other transactions to.

I am not sure where you are looking for..but here is what I can do it in MC90 Tcode:
1. when you try to save the variant, in the variant screen check the two boxes under "Current date" field for Selection Variables attributes "L"
2. Then click on Selection variables option and click on the "D" variable so that it turns to green
3. Drop down in the first current date field, select "Current +/- ??? days. here if you want to start from today's date maintain 0 days
4. In the second Current date field maintain 90 days in "Current +/- ??? days.
5. save it
please let me know if I misunderstod the issue

Crystal Reports monthly revenue calculation

Hy I would like to create a cross tab from B1 data sources to show the monthly revenue. I use SBO 8.8 and CR 2008.
My problem is that I don't know exatly how the SBO is calculating on the sales analysis.
Normaly is working like this:
(oinv.doctotal-oinv.vatsumoinv.rounding)-(orin.doctotal-orin.vatsumorin.doctotal)-(ocsv....)-(ocsi......)
Normaly the correcting invoices has parent invoice but some times not so I have also problems to chose the right linking field between the charts.

Results to be used in another calculation field.

Dear All,
I have a report showing average month in unit wise. The result is aggregated for "total" average month. Now I want to use that value, total result value in a formula variable for calculation. i want to create another calculation based on result which i have got in average month field.
Average Month field is CKF.
Example:
Technical id number     AVGMonths                  MONTH
'9185                                         1
'9185                                         3
'9185                                         4
'9185                                         2
Overall result is                         10
I need overall result 10 to be displayerd in MONTH field.
Please help me to overcome from this problem.

It seems it has some limitation when we use SUMCT function with CKF.
