Use of Reliable Messaging between WebLogic and a different vendor

Hello,
We have developed an application that is running on the WebLogic App Server v8.1
sp1.
Recently we have received a request/query on providing reliable SOAP messaging
from our application to 3rd party.
I have read the documentation on Reliable messaging support and have noted that
it is only supported between two WebLogic Application servers.
My questions are, since we do not have control of the 3rd party's application,
and it may not be based on a WebLogic App Server:
1. Will this work?
2. Does anyone have any idea of the type of issues that may be experienced?
3. How close is the implementation to the WS Reliable Messaging specification?
So, if the other party was based on an IBM or Microsoft implementation is this
likely to work?
It goes without saying that any work done would need to be very throughly tested
and qualified.
I have looked through the WebLogic Documentation on WebServices as well as searching
this newgroup for other posts on this topic, hopefully I have not missed anything
(If so, my apologies.)
Thanks,
Mike Shea.

Hi Michael,
The short answer, at this time, OOTB, WS-RM interop with an unknown
vendor would be doubtful. For a longer answer, David Orchard has a good
review of the emerging web services specs [0]. You might consider ebXML
messaging [1] as a more mature solution.
Thank you Bruce. I will look at these docs.
Mike S.
Hope this helps,
Bruce

    Larry,
Let me see if I understood this - You need to use the SOAP adapter to integrate with BizLink. Bizlink Provides its own SOAP Header and hence you are not sure how to do this.
    Got a few questions,
    1. Has Bizlink given you a XSD / WSDL. Does this have the entire SOAP Payload including the SOAP Header and SOAP body? If yes, create the mapping as needed and instead of the SOAP adapter use the HTTP adapter or use the SOAP adapter and in the SOAP adapter select option Do Not Use SOAP Envelope.
    2. If you do not have a XSD that contains the entire SOAP Enevelope - SOAP header and body then use XSL or Java Mapping that creates this output structure and use the SOAP adapter with the DoNotuseSOAP Envelope option or the HTTP adapter.
The SOAP adapter in the DONotUseSOAP Emvelope mode basically becomes a http adapter.

    Bhavesh

  • The problem about Secure Reliable Messaging between WCF and Weblogic

I'm doing a project for testing the interoperability between WCF and Weblogic with secure reliable messaging.
When WCF client talk to Weblogic service with Secure Reliable feature enabled. We got error when CreateSequence, the error message is below:
The incoming message was signed with a token which was different from what used to encrypt the body. This was not expected.
The remote endpoint requested an address for acknowledgements that is not the same as the address for application messages. The channel could not be opened because this is not supported. Ensure the endpoint address used to create the channel is identical to the one the remote endpoint was set up with.
My understanding is that the client accepted the RSTR from weblogic (so both sides now share the secure conversation token) and moved on to CreateSequence (and failed due to config mismatches). But I don't how the error happen and how to get it fixed.
-- below is the wsdl you are using --
    Any ideas about it?

I have read the documentation on Reliable messaging support and havenoted that

My questions are, since we do not have control of the 3rd party's application,
and it may not be based on a WebLogic App Server:
    1. Will this work?
    2. Does anyone have any idea of the type of issues that may be experienced?
    3. How close is the implementation to the WS Reliable Messaging specification?
So, if the other party was based on an IBM or Microsoft implementationis this

It goes without saying that any work done would need to be very throughlytested

  • Exchange Messages Between Foreground and Background Tasks

I'm working on an Application where I use background task for handling Bluetooth communication. For that, I'm trying to exchange messages between foreground and background tasks when the Bluetooth device sends
something and want to notify the foreground about it. Similarly, I want the foreground to send messages to background when the user activates something. I've started doing that using event handlers but it is not reliably working. Looks like the problem is
coming from the synchronization between these two tasks. I found the class BackgroundMediaPlayer which does what I really want , except controlling the media player. What are the options of doings that?

    Hi Rob,
Thank you for your reply. So in this case, I guess each process shall keep reading the file and see if there are commands to be processed. Is there a way to raise an event when the content of the file get changed? Are there existing file handling classes
    that support this?

  • SSL Between Weblogic and IBM MQ

    Dear All,
I would like to know the SSL configuration steps between Weblogic and MQ Communication.
The existing setup is, To put message in MQ, We are using MQ Java API directly. To get message from MQ, We are using JMS API with binding file.
Now, we are in a position to enable SSL in those communication between Weblogic and MQ. Here Weblogic is Treated as Client & MQ is treated as Server. If any one throw some light here would be greatful for us to enable 2-way SSL.
In High Level, Initially we planned for One-Way SSL like below,
    1. Create the Trust Store in MQ Server
gsk7capicmd -keydb -create -db "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/WLMQTest.kdb" -pw serverpass -type cms -expire 365 -stash -fips
    2. Create Self-Signed Certificate Initially for MQ Server
gsk7capicmd -cert -create -db "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/WLMQTest.kdb" -pw serverpass -label ibmwebspheremqwlmqtest -dn "CN=WLMQTest,O=,C=" -expire 365 -fips -sigalg sha1
gsk7capicmd -cert -extract -db "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/WLMQTest.kdb" -pw serverpass -label ibmwebspheremqwlmqtest -target "/var/mqm/qmgrs/WLMQTest/ssl/*WLMQTest.crt*" -format ascii -fips
    3. Create the Key Store in Weblogic Server
keytool -genkey -alias mydomain -keyalg RSA -keystore keystore.jks -keysize 2048
    4. Copy the Public SSL Server Certificate to the Weblogic Server
Copied the WLMQTest.crt from MQ Server into a directory under Weblogic Server Domain
The below command list the content of the keystore.jks
    keytool -list -keystore keystore.jks
    Keystore type: JKS
    Keystore provider: SUN
    Your keystore contains 1 entry
    mydomain, Dec 26, 2011, PrivateKeyEntry,
    Certificate fingerprint (MD5): E7:B6:4C:02:A7:DE:A3:66:27:66:38:A1:87:DF:8F:0F
And tried to import the WLMQTest.crt
keytool -import -alias mydomain -file WLMQTest.crt -keystore keystore.jks -storepass serverpass
We got the error like below,
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Public keys in reply and keystore don't match
    5. Configuring the Channels.
Please advice, Is it a right way? Positively expected your valuable comments

  • Using self_reception, can I differ the received messages between received and transmitted ones

    Hi,
i have a NI-CAN PXI 8464 card series 2 (well, at least I hope it's series 2 :-) ) and want to use self_reception, for that I can receive incomming messages and my one sent one. Is there a way how I can tell if a received message is a incomming one, or a transmitted one.
I'm using the Frame API with CVI and the latest NI-CAN Driver
    Thanks in Advance
    Olli

There is no special treatment of
these frames, they are seen on the CAN bus by the receive portion of
the transceiver just as any other frame transmitted on the CAN bus. So unfortunately you cannot differ them from frames received normaly over the CAN bus. The only way would be to create a logic which stores transmitted frames and are compared agains frame received in the read queue.

  • Web services reliable messaging in weblogic 9

    Hi Weblogic web services gurus,
I have some questions regarding the reliable messaging support in wls9 of web services.
    1. Since the SAF used for persistent storage, does weblogic support the sequence recovery when system failures? Or sequence can't accorss system failures?
    2. For the response sequence created by the web services service provider, what is the RM policy used? From the the wsdl file, we can see the policy only attach to the input message part of operation section.
    Thank you very much!
    Wayne Chen

Someone please reply. I'm clueless. Are they saying the webservices reliable messaging has already been implemented using ABAP LUW and is available in the workbench? If so how to use it ito create a reliable webservice? Why are they showing some PL/SQL like code then?  It is all unintelligible to me as I haven't used any of these.

  • What is difference between Weblogic and OSB

    Hi,
    The title says it all.
What is the difference between Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Service Bus?
Assuming both products are part of the Oracle strategy, when would I use each product?
I am really struggling as I cannot find a link with this information.
    Many thanks
    Jason

    Jason,
Weblogic is application server. Service Bus is a product which runs on top of Weblogic.
You can find plenty information about both products on the web.

  • How to synch messages between ipad and iphone?

I see older info on this but nothing current: how do I synch messages between my iphone and ipad?  Only some of them synch, and not necessarily only those sent from other iphones. I'm using OS7.

The new info is the same as the old info. Nothing has changed.
You have to use the iPhone number as the contact address on both devices. Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at. You have to select the phone number in there for both devices.
Try signing out of Messages on both devices and start all over again. Settings>Messages>iMessage>Off. Restart both devices and then turn Messages on again on both devices starting with the phone.
Messages only work with other iOS devices and Mac computers running Mountain Lion or Mavericks.

  • GR/IR account clearing using MR11 causing differences between FI and COPA

    Hi All,
We have Costing based Profitability Analysis enabled. We are facing an issue in 3rd party drop ship orders and COPA. Cost of Goods Sold Drop Ship GL account is being charged when we use MR11 to clear GR/IR account. This is causing reconciliation issues between COPA and the General Ledger.
Does anybody know how to update COPA when we carry out GR/IR clearing using MR11. Is there a workaround?
Any clues will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi ram
I have a couple of questions
    1. Is the 100 USD of Sales order amount, the sale order value to be billed to the customer or the value of the goods to be delivered to the customer
    2. You said that Gr is done for 99, but MIRO is done for 100... Is this a case of price difference?
    3. you said upon customer billing, 100 is posted to COGS in COPA....How does the system gets this value, Is this the VPRS value or any thiing else?
Also, when you reply back, I would need one more info from you... Follow the following steps
    1. Take the GRIR clearing document (material doc no), where in the 1 USD is posted to COGS
    2. Go to table ACCTIT and enter this doc no
    3. You will find the line items posted in this doc... Just check against this 1 USD line item, what is the transaction key i.e. GBB or PRD or what else?
    Regards

  • Messaging between BB and iPhone works but not between BB and iPhone.

I have an iPhone and an iPad 2.  I am able to exchange messages between my daughter's Blackberry and my iPhone but when I try to send a message to her BB from my iPad I get a message stating that her phone number is not registered with iMessage.  Can someone explain why this app works on one device but not on the other.

That's right.  iMessage on iPad ONLY works on other iOS devices, like iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, running iOS 5 or higher.  If you want to be able to text non-iOS users, there are apps for that, such as TextFree.

  • What  type of plug in do I need to use between weblogic and tomcat please

    Hi,
Can anybody please tell me what type of plugin do I need to install to communicate between Tomcat4.0 and weblogic6.1 sp2.actually I wanted to use a connection pool from my servlet on my local tomact where connection pool is created on remote weblogic server.........?
I have no idea what to do. I tried including the weblogic.jar in my local classpath where my tomcat is sitting. This didnot work . I got the following error......
I want to know is it possible.............?
javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory]
    Your response is very inportant......
    Thnaks

Thanks a lot for your rely....
then how could I use the remote connection pool in my
local Tomcat server.....?If thats is not possible then
what if organisation have two webservers...? you mean
thay have to create connection pool in two servers
rather on one server and use it every where.....?
Still depends on what you are trying to achieve.
Most clustered systesm use a connections on each server. They sync the data retrieved between servers, not the connections themselves.
If you simply one a single connection point then you need to use a driver that proxies requests to and from the real connection point.
    RmiJdbc is free at http://www.objectweb.org/.
There are commercial drivers available, search at http://industry.java.sun.com/products/jdbc/drivers, which provide an enterprise layer for database access. They are probably more robust and feature rich than the above one.
