Use Subversion with Coldfusion Builder Beta

Hi,
I run Coldfusion 9 Beta, Coldfusion Builder Beta under Windows7. Also installed Subversion/tortoise.
How can I use Subversion within CF Builder? If I right click a projects and choose Team->Share project,I get a window prompting me to select a repository type. Nothing is listed in the white space below and I cannot add any repository types. Under Preferences->Team I have options "File Content", "Ignored Resources" and "Models". Cannot choose here for a version system (CVS/Subversion) as in Eclipse with Subclipse installed. Do I have to download Subclipse and add it to CFBuilder manually?

What is very strange is that I have been using the CF Builder Beta for awhile now and it has always had repository types listed. I have been working with VSS for my repository. However I am having the same issue since I installed CF Builder Beta 2. I have no options for repository type. Any ideas what happened to this feature?

ColdFusion Builder Beta trial has expired message - what to do?

I downloaded the Beta 2 yesterday and attempted to install it (I had already been using the original ColdFusion Builder Beta for months). I couldn't tell if it actually changed anything because in the About section, it didn't mention Beta 2 anywhere. Today, I received a "your trial has expired" message while writing code, but I could still modify code and save to my servers (color-coded formatting had been deactiviated).
I uninstalled Adobe Coldfusion Builder, then re-installed the Beta 2, but now when I launch the software I receive the "trial expired" message. I'm using a Windows XP machine.
In the end, I no longer can use Adobe ColdFusion Builder beta, nor can I purchase the actual software (which I plan on doing).
Does anyone have any advice / suggestions? I need SFTP support, so I guess I could go back to Aptana, but I'd prefer to have ColdFusion Builder.

The Public Beta 2 is not supposed to expire now.
If you haven’t already updated to the latest release(Public Beta 2), you might notice that public beta 1 expired on October 15th. You can download the latest public beta 2 directly from Adobe Labs at:
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/coldfusionbuilder/
So I would request you to first check if you have the latest bits.
However if your Public Beta 2 also says 'expired' try doing this.
1. Uninstall the current version.
2. Delete the location of your CFB install, By default it will be Program Files/Adobe/Adobe ColdFusion Builder . So you will have to take a back up of any project files and delete this folder.
3. Re-install the latest bits from : http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/coldfusionbuilder/
Note: For Eclipse install use the -clean option.
Do let us know if this doesn't help.

Workaround for using the latest nightly SDK 4.0 builds with Flash Builder Beta 2

The latest builds of SDK 4.0 have been updated in preparation for including playerglobal.swc for Flash Player 10.1. Flash Builder Beta 2 can not find playerglobal.swc due to the addition of the {targetPlayerMinorVersion} variable found in the flex-config.xml file.
When using recent nightly SDKs with Flash Builder Beta 2, please modify them as follows:
1) Rename the folder <nightly sdk location>/frameworks/libs/player/10.0 to "10"
2) Edit the file <nightly sdk location>/frameworks/flex-config.xml and remove ".{targetPlayerMinorVersion}" and save
When you restart Flash Builder, we will now find a correct location for playerglobal.swc, allowing for code hints and many other features to work properly.

My project is currently in my single-user repository, and I have checked out, modified, and checked in my files. All that works fine, but there is much more functionality available. At the moment, I am going through some YouTube videos by Stuart Fleming, but I was hoping that someone might suggest an article that I could keep as a searchable reference.

What is best method for learning how to use mySQL with Coldfusion?

I have been using access databases for years with Coldfusion. I have a client that wants me to build an online classroom. I figure it's time to finally start using mySQL, but there is so much info out there, I don't know which way to turn.
Where do you experts recommend I get started?
Also, I am using coldfusion entrprise on my system at home. My machine is a 64-bit, 3.30Ghz AMD FX - 6100 six-core processor with 8gig of ram. Can I install mySQL on the machine and run CF8 without any problems?

How much RAM left on your system? If the computer is strictly for development, then you have more than enough to run ColdFusion, MySQL, browsers, and other development tools.
For MySQL download the MySQL Community Server and MySQL Workbench. There is also all-in-one package for Windows, http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/windows/installer/ that you don't need to download the server and workbench separately. The installation should be straight forward.
By the way, other CF users may suggest you to use MariaDB (https://mariadb.org/), which is a branch of MySQL.

Coldfusion Builder beta 3 and Subclipse

Has anyone experienced problems with their working copy getting corrupted? The combination of coldfusion builder and subclipse plugins for my Eclipse 3.5.1 keeps causing me to have checksum and other errors when trying to update or commit. Am I the only one with these issues or are other having them, too?

Can I use Subversion with Labview8

I would like to use Subversion as a Source Code Control tool. I have searched the NI site but I could not find anywhere if Labview 8 can be used with Subversion. Has anyone used successfully Subversion with any Labview version?

Help please! This is really frustrating.
I have a client using Subversion 1.6.6 to control versions on their website. I can get DW to recognize the Repository ok, however, when I try to commit my changes to the Repository I get the (Error #175005 footer.php already exists and Error #200005 the local file is not under version control). But if I alter the path of the Repository within the directory, the files check in just fine, it seems like I can't overwrite files in the repository. Which is problematic because i want the file directories to match up.
I have tried installing the SubWeaver extension to remedy the situation, but I can't get that to work. I'm kind of at a loss here, Adobe your site makes it sound so easy to use Subversion, what gives???

I fixed it. It turns out that the Leopard -> Snow Leopard Migration screwed up the Subversion repository various credentials for user/group and other during the migration copy. Fortunately I had "cloned" my entire Leopard disk. I copied the cloned repository into the Snow Leopard disk and everything works. It looks like this was the fault of the Apple Migration process.

Coldfusion Builder beta 2 won't install

Howdy,
october 15,2009, my cfbuilder beta 1 said the trial has run out. So I uninstalled it, and then reinstalled the beta 2. I have cfeclipse on my ganymede eclipse...it says that could effect my cf builder install, but it did not effect the beta 1 install. When I do the install, it seems to install, but when I try to bring up that persective, it is not there...my cfeclipse is there, and all the other perspectives are there, but not the cfbuilder perspective.
anyone have any ideas why it would not install?

Yes i understand it might conflict, however, it did not conflict with beta 1. Do you or anyone else know if they did something in beta 2 that conflicts with cfEclipse? I'd hate to uninstall cfEclipse, install cfBuilder beta 2, and it still not work.
If nobody has any other ideas, i'll try this approach...then come January, i'll probably have to install cfEclipse back till we get the full blown cfBuilder.

You probably created a Flex project - the ActionScript Compiler section will only be there for ActionScript projects. If you want to enable Telemetry for a Flex project, or for an existing swf (without recompiling), see here:

Annoyances with coldfusion builder

I just download the latest beta2 and overall I like it but theres a couple issues that annoy me:
1. Javascript code assist pops up for no reason. Say i'm editing a cfm document then I insert a script tag, press enter, then the code assist pops up and wont go away unless i press escape and it keeps on poping up like that. Really frustrating, I had to turn it off it bugged me so much. Only notice this when i'm editing cfm files.
Edit: It also happens in style tags but not nearly as annoying.
2. When I try to create a new snippet package/folder sometimes it creates it under another package/folder when I wanted it to at the top level. It usually happens after creating a new snippet. The only way around this is to delete it and then create it again since I can't drag it out.
Also would be nice if I could import/export snippets.

I have seen the same problems that you described. It would be especially useful for me to be able to import snippets that I created on homesite, because I have a bunch of them.

Apache flex 4.8.0 with flash builder 4.7 beta 1

Just downloaded the Apache Flex 4.8.0 with their installer application and tried to use it with flash builder 4.7 beta 1.
I created a new flex project and configured it to use the apache flex 4.8.0.
Then try to run the project but hundreds of actionscript errors occur.

I don't see any error on creating new projects and running the same.
Where did you get the installer from?
What is the framework linkage type? You can check this in project properties -> flex build path. It should be Merged into code for Apache SDK.
