Using JDev11g you can generate pl/sql packaged based web services. Goto database navigator, connect to a database, explore your pl/sql package and right click and press "Publish as Web Service".
This generates all the requried java classes.
Goto your model project, right click on the new web service and click Test Webservice.
It generates WSDL file for you.
Using this wsdl, you can create web services data control.
Using this data control you can easily generate adf table in your jsf page.
Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi,
    You just need to assign package while saving your report.
    No extra is required providing you are aware of package to be used.

    Thanks for your reply on Oracle Forums about using webutil to perform image upload in 9i forms.

    Ensure that the WebUtil object group has been dragged onto the form.
    By putting the form into visual view, ensure that you have a window called WEBUTIL_HIDDEN_WINDOW and that it contains a set of WebUtil Java Beans.
    If your forms does already contain the WebUtil object group then the cause is likely to be that the triggers used internally by the bean areas are uncompiled (usually because the OLB was subclassed before the library was attached). To resolve the problem try performing a Compile All on your module (ctrl-shift-k))
    The errors are still coming out and would you please let me know what I should do to solve the problem and thanks a lot!

  • Coder needed to wrap my .jar using the JavaFX Packager Utility

    Hello-I am not a coder. I am looking for a programmer who is able to wrap my .jar using the JavaFX Packager Utility. I would like to upload my app to the Mac App Store also and need assistance doing that.
    Please contact me for more details if you are able to do one or both of the above.

    Ok. Please let me know when you are able to upload the .jar I have (packaged) to the Macintosh App Store if you would. Do you need a way to contact me? I don't know if I am able to place my email or main website here, and I don't check here often. We can work out a payment arrangement. Thank you.

  • Embedding images using the TEXT_IO package

    Good morning people,
    I'm in the process of converting one of my client's corporate reports to an Excel format, using the "TEXT_IO" package. The client requires his logo to appear in the Excel file (for a purely aesthetic purpose).
    I've tried - to no avail, might I add - to embed/insert the company's corporate logo into the generated Excel file. This logo is stored as a LONG RAW datatype in the associated JCG_EXCEL_DATA table.
    Whenever I attempt to embed this logo, using the "Text_IO.Putf" built-in, Excel displays it as "Bit!+".
    Do you perhaps know of a way to do this?
    Here's an example of the statement used:
    "Text_IO.Putf(out_file, chr(9) || :image_file);"
    Thanks and regards,
    Johann.

    Hi,
    It will not be possible to do it as it doesn't recognize it as an image.
    What about going for a delimiteddata output having the header with the logo.
    Please see the 6i patch 11 release notes on OTN documentation for Reports

  • Exposing plsql Packages as webservices using JDeveloper

    Hi folks,
    I'm using Jdeveloper to publish database package/ procedures as webservices.These procedures use objects types as parameters (Varchar2's). I can generate the webservices (by the JDeveloper wizard), the WSDL file is generated;
    Question is about the required and optional fields. In my procedure declaration I defined the input as Varchar2 and also defined a default
    Procedure p ( p_var IN VARCHAR2 Default NULL) AS
    BEGIN
    NULL;
    END;
    But when I deploy this package as webservice (via jdeveloper) to our weblogic server, and run a test, I get errors related to required fields if I don't pass in any value.
    Invalid input arguments for the following fields: p_var value required
    How would I change this behavior ? I made the procedures to accept default parameters ( even when no value is passed I would want my code to run)
    Thanks in advance,
    Prashanth

    Thanks Timo !
    Found out to be an issue with Oracle Fusion Middleware control (http://<hostname>:<port>/em ) validating for required Inputs, but when tested with SOAP UI or Web logic Test Client (http://<hostname>:<port>/wls_utc) it works as expected. Reported the issue to Oracle Support and the problem has been reproduced there.

  • Publish PLSQL Package as webservice using Jdeveloper

    Hi All,
    I have developed an PLSQL package that select records based on search criteria. I want to publish this as an web service. I have published another PLSQL package that inserts to a table as a web service, which is working fine(Using Jdeveloper and SOA Suite(Application Server)). I am getting error as "cannot create target" when i published as a web service for select.
    Procedure has 4 IN Parameters and 4 OUT Parameters in which one of the OUT Parameter is of table type. When i click invoke button the error details are as follows

    Have you tried using the DB adapter for stored procedures? Is your "record" type a PL/SQL record type? Or is it a SQL object type? If it's the former then the adapter will automatically generate corresponding object types. A package is also generated that contains a wrapper API for your original procedure. The package also includes conversions to convert between the record and the object types. If it's the latter, then the adapter does nothing special as it can handle object types. Once deployed, your API will be executed with an included instance XML for the inbound parameters. XML will be generated containing values of outbound parameters. In your case, if the data type is a PL/SQL record, the problem may be that record is not a supported data type.

  • The PLSQL Package version is not honored in Jdeveloper

    Hello,
    I have launched following PLSQL procedure and successfully compiled in the database. Then, I am calling this procdure using application connections window in Jdeveloper. This plsql api is the integral component of the webservice written using jdeveloper.
    Below is the interface of the plsql. Note that parameter p_streetaddress3 is commented. When I compile the package and java wrapper in jdeveloper everything gets compiled just fine. However, when the web service is deployed it still shows the parameter p_streetaddress3.
    Why, this already commented out parameter should continue to show up on webservice even when it is commented at database level?
    In other words, changes made in plsql package, for a jdeveloper webservice are not getting reflacted.
    Any idea?
    Thanks,
    Ruchir

    Hi Ruchir,
    in 10.1.3 we had problems re-generating web services as the WSDL was not always refreshed, only the Java sources. Maybe the same is happening to you. Try deleting the WSDL before re-generating the web service and see if it helps.

  • From PLSQL Package to Webservice deployed on Tomcat

    Just wondered if anybody done this before, because then so can i.... ;)
    Has anybody made a Webservice in Jdeveloper from a PLSQL Package and deployed it successfully on a Tomcat webserver? (no matter what version of Tomcat)

    Hi Ratnam ,
    Qucik question :
    What is the error you are getting ?
    Did you get through the URL (https://blogs.oracle.com/dana/entry/how_to_deploy_a_11g_adf_applic_1 ) that you only have posted ? Basically the thing is your tomcat server should have necessary libraries before even you attempt deployment.
    thanks,

  • Do I need basic cable to use the MLB package purchased through itunes to use on my Apple TV?

    I would like to purchase the MLB package through itunes to use on my Apple TV. Do I need to have basic cable in order to watch it on the tv like some of the other apps require?

    Yes sorry, I can see that from your question title.  Are you in the US? Ifv so movie redownloads should be available, but I believev some studios aren't onboard.
    In iTunes, go to the Store home page - on the right in Quick Links is there a Purchased/Purchases section? If so check if you can download the movies from there.
    If you can't see them go to expresslane.apple.com and raise a support ticket for iTunes store, asking them to enable download via iTunes.

  • How can I use the security package in JCOP41V2.2?

    Hi all, I'm a newbie in javacard programming. I'm trying to develop a project with RSA_signature. But I found, the exception NO_SUCH_ALGORITHM will be thrown out when I new an instance of KeyPair.
    My java file Temp_1.java following:
    package temp;
    import javacard.framework.Applet;
    import javacard.framework.ISO7816;
    import javacard.framework.ISOException;
    import javacard.framework.APDU;
    import javacard.security.*;
    * @author lujj
    public class Temp_1 extends Applet {
    KeyPair myKeyPair = null;
         public static void install(byte[] bArray, short bOffset, byte bLength) {
              // GP-compliant JavaCard applet registration
              new Temp_1().register(bArray, (short) (bOffset + 1), bArray[bOffset]);
         public void process(APDU apdu) throws ISOException{
              // Good practice: Return 9000 on SELECT
              if (selectingApplet()) {
                   return;
              byte[] buf = apdu.getBuffer();
              if(buf[ISO7816.OFFSET_CLA] == (byte)0xEE)
                   try
                        myKeyPair = new KeyPair(KeyPair.ALG_RSA, KeyBuilder.LENGTH_RSA_1024);
                   catch(CryptoException e)
                        ISOException.throwIt((short)(0x6F00+e.getReason()));
                   return;
              switch (buf[ISO7816.OFFSET_INS]) {
              case (byte) 0x00:
                   break;
              default:
                   // good practice: If you don't know the INStruction, say so:
                   ISOException.throwIt(ISO7816.SW_INS_NOT_SUPPORTED);
    This package can be upload and the applet can be installed successfully.
    But if I send the apdu "EE 00 00 00 00" after selected the applet, "6F 03" will be returned.
    Is there anyone can help me? Thanks a lot.

    Thank you so much~
    Actually, it's only an applet for test. I cannot get the error code if I new the KeyPair in install function or Applet construct function. It will return "6A 80" when install the applet.
    And, I found that it support few algorithm. For example, it does not support ALG_DES_MAC4_ISO9797_M2,etc. Is there anything I can do if I want to use the algorithm? Shall I rewrite security package by myself?
    5555, security package is the standard package in JAVACARD API 2.1.1.

  • Error Uncompressing using the Zip Package

    Hi There,
    I have xml data that I have been compressing into a byte array and writing to a file. I use the deflater to compress the data and then the inflater to uncompress the data.
    This has been working fine for some time but now I have found a couple of cases where I get the following exception when I am uncompressing data.
    java.util.zip.DataFormatException: incorrect data check
    at java.util.zip.Inflater.inflateBytes(Native Method)
    at java.util.zip.Inflater.inflate(Unknown Source)
    at java.util.zip.Inflater.inflate(Unknown Source)
    I have no idea what is different to cause this exception.
    Has someone experienced this hardship?
    Is there a limitation of this package that I might be suffering from?
    thanks for any info.

    Are you working on the US payroll?
    Looks like some issue with regards to the address.
    Where exactly do you get this error?
    regards,

  • How to find size of the plsql packages

    Oracle : 10.2.0.4
    Os : Solaris
    Issue : DB has around 2000 packages which are in development mode. In case If we want to find the size of all the packages what is the mechanism from the dictionary tables. ?
    Is there way the size is being stored in the dictionary tables ?
    Pl. let me know.

    Is there way the size is being stored in the dictionary tables ?Source code is stored in the dictionary table sys.source$ - it is a very basic table with only 3 columns. OBJ# refers to the object in sys.objects$, LINE is the source code line number and SOURCE contains the line of source code.
    So you can use the LENGTH() function and SUM() that and group by object to get each object's size. But this will be pretty meaningless as source code is not what is loaded and executed - compiled (aka p-code ) is loaded into memory and executed.
    Obviously, more source code means a bigger sys.source$ table - but that is fairly easily addressed by ensuring that the SYSTEM tablespace is large enough.

  • Using the plsql type xmldom.DOMDocument in a java function

    Is it possible to call a java function from PLSQL passing in a
    xmldom.DOMDocument? If so, how?
    I have tried deploying the java function with input types of
    oracle.sql.ARRAY and oracle.sql.STRUCT. Neither of these works
    as the associated PLSQL package will not compile due to 'records
    not being supported'.
    I also tried changing the java function input parameter to the
    java type XMLDocument. When I did that, I didn't even get the
    opportunity to deploy the function; presumably because
    XMLDocument is not a PLSQL type.
    Can anyone help?
