User Menu Disabled

Hello,
The User Menu for a particular User is disabled.
He can only see the SAP Menu.
How to enable the User Menu?
Thanks in advance

Hi Gautam,
The best way to do this, is to go back and close all the threads which you have started and then use the <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/search.jspa?threadID=&q=usermenudisabled&objID=f208&dateRange=all&numResults=15&rankBy=10001">search</a> before asking questions which have already been answered.
Good luck,
Julius

  • How to disable the Super User menu - (Right click windows icon menu) - Server 2012 R2 - RDS

    Greetings all,
Can anyone please advise how to remove the Administrator / Super User menu that appears when you right click the Windows Icon (old start button) in Server 2012 R2 - for RDS users. I have searched and been able to disable access to each of these menu items (Control
Panel, Event Viewer, Run, etc). But I am searching for a way to completely remove the menu. This menu also appears when you use Win-X shortcut.
    Hope someone can help.
    Terry

    Hi Terry,
You can try following points, might helpful in your case. Go to
    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
there you will see file called WinX
Right click this file and copy then go to
    C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
then paste the file into the folder.
NOTE: replace YOUR_USERNAME with your actual username.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Disable user menu

    Hello,
If I assign a role to a user, then the user menu will reflect the role menu.
How do I disable the user menu, meaning he should not see the Tcodes/reports in the SAP initial screen?
    Thanks in advance.
    Vijay

The other possible method, which i prefer, is to have the tcodes added as Authorization Default rather than a transaction. This would still enable to have all the auth objects checked for the tcode to be embedded in the role including S_TCODE. You would see it in the role with a different icon but when the user log in, they would not see it in the menu.
This is the approach i take when we have to add any dependent transactions to the role but not visible to the user. As an example, the Time Entry tcode CAT2 triggers the Trave Mgmt tcode PR05 but the users do not need to see this later tcode in their menu.
    Hope this answers your question.
    Thanks

  • Disable User Menu button is LSMW

    Hi everyone,
can any one please tell me how to disable "User Menu" button in lsmw transaction.

I took a look at the program,  and it does not use any kind of customizing to build the gui-status.  So, in other words, you can not turn it off using config.  You may be able to do it useing a screen variant.  Check out transaction SHD0.

  • Activating User Menu option in SAP Easy Access Screen

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me to activate User Menu in SAP Easy Access screen.
Menu -> User Menu option is disabled.
Is there any Profile Paramater to Enable or Disable this menu option?
    Thanks,
    Piyush

    Hey,
Juan and Ganesh, you both are right. But the roles are already assigned to the users.
Its not for 1 users, its for all the users.
We can activate the user menu from Easy Access Screen menu option Menu->User Menu. But this is disables in the Menu->User Menu.
Hence any user is not able to the the user menu.
There is a Profile parameter through which we can enable or disable this option. Can you please provide me the name of that parameter.
    Thanks.,
    Piyush

  • Activate User Menu in SAP logon screen

    1. Configure individual specific SAP user
Enter transaction code  SM30 (Maintain Table Views) in your SAP command field and maintain USERS_SSM table. You would notice that no data maintained in this table during initial access. To maintain entries, click u2018New Entriesu2019 button. Enter the individual username on the User Name field. To enable user menu and SAP menu, tick the appropriate checkboxes. To disable, untick the chekcboxes.
    2. Configure all SAP user
Enter transaction code  SM30 (Maintain Table Views) in your SAP command field and maintain SSM_CUST table. To enable te user menu for all SAP users set ALL_USER_MENUS_OFF = No. To disable it, set ALL_USER_MENUS_OFF = Yes.
To enable the SAP Menu set SAP_MENU_OFF =  No, to disable it set SAP_MENU_OFF =  Yes.

It is not a question, it is a tarot card
@ Arindam Banerjee: Feel free to post you findings if they are interesting or "common mistakes", but please only use this thread. Ideally this is stuff for the wiki - if not already in help.sap.com or the system itself...
Specifically in this case, user menus is no easy task in the wild and is very dependent on how you build your roles.

  • Activating user menu

    I have two diff. problems
In one system I'm getting SAP menu but user menu is disabled, how to activate?
and In other system all users are able to see User menu and SAP menu except one user...what needs to be changes for that user...
    Thx,
    Yash

    Hi,
login on to sap system where sap menu is display.
now from menu -> select user menu.
    or
The administrator can activate or deactivate menus for individual
    users.
    -   If there is a user setting it is used, if the menu exists.
        Global settings are then ignored.
    -   To make user settings, enter or change records in the table
USERS_SSM in the View maintenance transaction SM30). You can
then specify whether the user menu or the SAP menu are to be
        displayed for a user.

  • Exchange infrastructure user menu

How I do make the user menu for exchange infrastructure always enabled. (Especially when I logged on as a client).
    Any help is greatly appreciated
    Natarajan

    Raj,
I logged on to the discovery system and try to configure the demo for airline tickets system. As part of the configuration, in the documentation provided by SAP,  I had to logon as a client and look at the user menu for exchange infrastructure. When I log on as client, the icon for user menu was disabled and I do not know if there is any transaction code I can enter which will show the exchange infrastructure menu.

  • Unable to Open Bex report from SAP APO User Menu

    Hi All,
I am an  SAP APO consultant, and have not miuch expereice in BEx reporting. As APO uses Build in BI for reporting and pulling history from either external BW or R/3.
Now my issue all BEx reports we use are assigned ot my user menu and when I select a report, I would expect report to open but an excel sheet opens and closes and nothing happens. However I am able to open this reports from my desktop menu selecting Business explorer and Analyzer and linking my SAP system. I use Excel 2007 , Is this some compactibilty issue or is there anything I need to do?

    Hi KV,
There's a couple of possible root cause why you dont see properly the Bex Report.
Can you share to me the APO version and the BW software component being used?
In case this is still in the 3.x, 4.x APO, I think, a separate BW add on is needed for you to run your BEx report properly. You can ask your basis team for this separate installation.
Btw, is this report working before, meaning was it pulled successfully already in the past?
Can you try doing this again in a separate workstation, as the BW add on is installed separately per workstation.
Its possible that this is also an auth issue that the user you are using is not capable enough to run BEx.
As of now, I have not encountered any Bex issue that is related with the Excel version, I have tried running Bex in Excel 2007 no issue also. I think it maybe more related with the OS you are using, if its in Vista already what I know is you need to add your excel as a trusted document before you can run bex fro Vista.
Let me think of other possibilities.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to Hide User Menu at the Bottom of the Screen

    Hi, all:
I am new to apex, currently using 3.2.1.
I have created a simple interactive report, the screen shows report data correctly AND
a user menu at the bottom. the user menu content is:
    user name
Home Application 101 Edit Page 1 Create Session Activity Debug Show Edit Links
how do I hide this menu when end user access the app?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi,
That "menu" is called developer toolbar.
It is visible only when you have login to APEX builder and run your app.
So it will not be visible for end users.

  • How to find out if a user is disabled in xpress code?

I have an active sync form and I'm trying to determine as one of my checks if a user is disabled. I've tried using waveset.disabled, but that always returns null. I also tried waveset.organization to see if the user is in the 'terminate' organization, but it only always returns 'Top' and not 'Top:Terminate'
Any ideas how I can find out if a user account is disabled?
    Thanks for any info!

    Hi,
These two attributes you can only get in userview.
waveset.disabled (this is always null if user is not disble else return true if user is disble)
waveset.organization (will give you the whole org path like Top:xyz)
take a dump of your userview and see what you are getting there.
Use below code in you form/WF to see the userview on console
    <block trace='true'>
    <invoke name='toXml'>
<ref>userview</ref> // user your userview object name
    </invoke>
    </block>

    Welcome to SCN.

  • Transaction code for user menu, sap easy access

    Hi system experts!
Does anybody know which transaction causes the user-specific menu within "SAP easy access" (the welcome screen after login, like /n does) ?
I need it to be called from a portal iView, so that the usual sapgui-like screen with the user's menu appears in a portal screen, both for SAPGUI for windows and http.
Trx. S000 or SESSION_MANAGER does not cause the user-specific menu when called from the portal. These work least of all for call via ITS.
    thanks
    Andreas

    hi ,
The transaction code is SE41.. This is for creating Menus and tool bars.
you can also try SMEN it will call the user menu as you described in your post.

  • Workbook in role but not on user menu

    Hi All
I have a workbook saved under a certain role menu. The workbook apeears fine under the role when using BEx.
However, the workbook has disappeared from the User-Menu in SAP-GUI.
I have tried to refresh the user menu, change and re-save the workbook in the role (via BEx and via PFCG), I checked report: RSWB_ROLES_REORG but nothing helped.
I searched for notes but nothing seemed relevant.
    Any help?
    Thanks,
    Yaniv

    Hi,
The issue because of MS 2007. it would not be compatible sometimes.
for that you have install the latest patch for the BEx and dotnet framework on your desktop.
it would be available in the service market place.
    or
We have had several issues similar running SAP BW 7.0 with BEx 3.5 workbooks after upgrading to Excel 2007. There are several SAP Notes concerning various Excel 2007 related errors. Most of these seem to be bundled in the just-released SAP BEx 3.5 Add-On Patch 7 for SAPGUI 710, so my advice would be to download this patch if you have not done so already.
    Regards,
    Marasa.
