OK.... here is my Dilemma....
Users are all set up as AD Users
Authentication Options
Y Use Kerberos authentication
Synchronization of Credentials
Y Enable and update the user's data source credentials at logon time. This will synchronize the data source with the user's current logon credentials.
SiteMinder Options Click on the value to change the options
SiteMinder Single Sign On: Disabled
AD Alias Options Schedule User's AD Alias Updates
Specify when BusinessObjects Enterprise will update AD aliases for users.
Note that this will also update the Group Graph.
Last Sync: There is no record of a previous sync attempt.
Next Scheduled Sync: AD Alias sync has not been scheduled.
New Alias Options
Y Assign each new AD alias to an existing User Account with the same name
Alias Update Options
Y Create new aliases when the Alias Update occurs
New User Options
Y New users are created as concurrent users
Attribute Binding Options
Y Import Full Name and Email Address
Y Give AD attribute binding priority over LDAP attribute binding
DILEMMA*****
So user jsmith sets up recurring report schedules for 20 reports....
jsmith is terminated....
jsmith is removed from Windows AD Directory......
ALL OF jsmith's schedules DISAPPEAR........
So I thought ..... set up a "Super User" which will allow them to set schedules etc... BUT mgmt wants to track EVERYTHING so they still want that jsmith set the schedule... they also still need to be able to use the SSO abilities that are set up....
Has anyone else had this issue??? I have several ideas just not sure if they are valid, ANY HELP would be GREATLY appreciated.
Is there a way to alias a user name... ie jsmith logs in as jsmith but can set schedules as superuser1.....

Issue inMaintenace scheduling issue in Two plants with similar data set up

Hi PM Gurus
Scenario: A) We Have two maintenance Plants which have got Factory calendar assignment as per Table Data. We need to change Non Working days of factory Calenders (D1 and T2) for work centres working and do Maintenace scheduling
Issue    A) Plant PL0B has got factory Calender T2 set up at work centre (WCT2) .We get Maintenace schedule Calls as per Calender set up ie No Maintenace Call (Planned call and Call date) on (Non Working Days). Here we change public holidays to working days and this throw schedule calls accordingly (thatu2019s Maintence Calls on working days only).
B)     We have similar requirement to change public holidays for Calender D1 which is assigned to Work centre WCD1, then we must get maintenance calls for working days. But we find that for Plant PL0A, Maintenace Calls are generating even on non working days. Only difference between Plant PL0A and PL0B is for Work centre set up as per screen shots for Capacity data.
C)     We have changed work centre data of WCD1 as per WCT2 ,but still PL0A is giving maintenance Calls on Non Working days (Not Controlled by Calender data of Work Centre )
D)     Info: Scheduling indicator in Maintenace plans of both plants is TIME

Greetings Upinder,
You should set the Scheduling indicator to "Time - factory calendar" and select a Factory Calendar if you want the Maintenance plan to be scheduled according to one of the calendars you set up.
The work centre capacity scheduling doesn't come into place here, yet - it'll allow for rescheduling once the orders are called.

Unable to view pdf created in Live Cycle Designer ES2. I initially thought this was a user / OS issue when I created a document for someone who is new to a MAC laptop. She could not view the document through email. Unfortunately, I began seeing the same error in my own document folders when searching for another document showing as icons instead of a list. I can open the file without a problem although I see the error she sees only while viewing the icons in my folder. I am using a Windows 7 PC. Now, I also know that if the document is downloaded, it can be viewed.
Other notes:
If trying to access the form via the internet, the same error is seen through Chrome, Firefox, and Mozilla but NOT through IE
Everyone seems to have the latest or a very recent READER
The form is compatible with Reader versions 7 and up
Again, downloading from the internet to the computer appears to allow the file to open properly
Document cannot be viewed on the Galaxy Tab 2 via Chrome or the pre-installed Internet Browser, nor can it be viewed through the Reader after download to tablet. I did not try on an Apple iPad.
All parties involved are up-to-date with virus protection.

You're on to something KJ! Yes the form was created in LiveCycle Designer ES2 which came bundled with my Adobe X Pro. I began creating a new form yesterday and found that I could not preview the form, rendering this same "error" instead. I ran a repair on my Adobe and at first it seemed to fix the issue but after making some changes to the form I tried to preview again and couldn't. Here is what I get when I try to preview my forms in Designer ES2:
When I click the OK button, it then gives me that single static page as mentioned above in previous posts.
I searched Adobe yesterday trying to figure out how I could repair the LiveCycle Designer or if there was some sort of patch that I haven't gotten but was not able to find anything.

Sorry, this is a user to user forum and we're just customers who help out when we can, so things don't always happen right away.
Reader, Regardless of OS or device, is as the name implies, only a Reader. There are different mail settings between Mac Mail Outlook and Thunderbird as well as Andsroid's mail app, whose name escpoaes me.
Have you checked in the Live Cycle Forum? There are people there with FAR more experience using LC developed forms. It's part of my Creative Suite, but I've never even opened it myself.

User Lock issue when processing IDOCS

We are pushing the data into SAP using IDOCS.During this process some IDOCS are getting failed due to User Lock on shipment header.Anyone here can share their experience in dealing with User Lock issues.

Only one can edit the document, it's standard fucntion. I think No note can resolve this. I can suggest you to run a back ground job very frequently ,which picks these status 51 IDOCs and reprocess. Report is :RBDMANi2
We can use Message class & error message number on selection screen, so that we can make sure that only those idocs which were failed due to Lock problem are taken by the job.

I m setting up a RAC 11gR2 on windows 7. following these instructions

[INS-40913] The following nodes cannot be clustered due to user equivalence issue: w2008-112-rac2
when trying to configure the cluster. Is there anything I missed?
Both users have the same rights since I used a clone (administrator)

I have configured RAC earlier using same vmware and os version.

WFM export user/schedule data

Hello, all. Does anyone know how to export WFM (not QM) user/schedule data out? We have WFM 8 and want to export user/schedule data out to integrate with a third party reporting application. I've looked through a few of the WFM tables but couldn't figure out which tables contain those data. is there a DB schema manual? Does anyone know how to export the data out?

We have an interesting issue. An Access Enforcer Change Request was initiated with the incorrect userID (the userID did not yet exist in the system) and that Change Request flowed through and made it to the end of the path. At the end of the path, it created a new userID (since the incorrect one was entered). However, we have the following AE Config:
Auto Provisioning - Status: Auto Provsioning Type: "Auto Provision At End of Each Path"
Auto Provisioning - Change Request: Create if user does not exist: "NO"
Any ideas as to why the new userID was provisioned even though we have it set to "NO"?
We are on AE v5.1, SP4.

Similar kind of issue.,
The Change User BAPI works differently than we normally think.
It wipes off everything and reassign the modification.
This I figured it in one of my implementation. You try add some roles to the user it wipes off all the roles and reassign the roles along with the new requested one's.
The client is also in SP4 still they have issue.
Will that not be good, AE checks for the ID before it actually submits the request.

Time Machine User ID Issue

I just bought a new mac, and let the setup app transfer my files from Time Machine.
It worked great, but now I can't access any of my old Time Machine files (fwiw this also happened the LAST time I attached a new computer to the same Time Machine drive). Only the backups since I got this new computer.
The problem is probably a User ID issue, according to The Great Pondini. I currently am User ID 502 on this system. I suppose I need to follow the instructions for "Fixing a UID mismatch without starting over", on this page: http://pondini.org/OSX/MigrationProblems.html
But those instructions are for the opposite situation....for people with User ID 501. Any tips for making it work for us 502s?

Ok, got it. Time Machine only shows you backups from the computer you're on. The ONLY way to see backups made on previous computers is via "browse other backup disks".
This is intentional. This is a "feature", not a bug. Unfortunately, neither Apple nor anyone else seems to explain this clearly.

CUIC Scheduler user access issue

This one has me stumped.
We recently finished an upgrade for a client that included a transition to a new virtual environment. I built out two 9.1.1 clusters, and did a disaster recovery restore from the old prod systems into the new prod system. After much foul language we got everything working, except an issue with runnihg scheduled reports.
If a superuser makes an edit to the report, like changing the scheluded run time, a normal level user can no longer make a change to the report. The superuser has to then delete the report, and the user recreate it. Even with the new reports, if the superuser makes a change, it locks out the user.
This is CUIC 9.1.1, and I am not seeing anything strange in the web interface. My CUIC fu is weak here, so any help would be greatly appreciated

I see this behavior in CUIC 8.5 as well. The workaround is for the superuser to do a "Run As" (from Security -> User List) as the user who made the schedule, then edit the schedule from there. The schedule will then stay owned by that user instead of the superuser.

Change Schedule Line category through user exit - Issue with transfer of requirements

Dear All,
There is a user exit in Sales Order program MV45AZZ - PREPARE_TO_SAVE . It is currently being used to implement code to change schedule line category based on the status of the sales order.
When Blocked , category is set to ZP, and when Released then it is set to CP.
Now, when we change ZP to CP manually through VA02, I am able to see the requirements transferred in tcode MD50.
The problem is, when user changes status of sales order from blocked to released, the userexit changes categories from ZP to CP, but the requirements are not transferred ( cannot see it in MD50 ).
I tried searching the SCN, tried googling it, its been a week now and I havent found any clear solution.
So, far what I understood is Availability Check needs to be carried out again. But I am not clear how to trigger it again.
Are there any indicators that need to be set or any internal tables to be updated or any FM to call or any other user exit to place the code in.

?? Any suggestion friends ?

Webi Report scheduling issue

Dear Experts,
I have webi reports which are running fine when i refresh the query from query panel. When i am scheduling the report it is failing.
My webi reports are connected to the Bex Queries using OLAP Connections which is working fine for other reports.
I am getting the following error message
"Can not connect to the source olap com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (103) JCO_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Access key access is no longer possible"
Because of this BW Credentials are getting locked and user cannot able to access the BW System.
Kindly help us getting this issue solved.

Try this...
Logon to Central Management Console (CMC) with an Administrator user.
Click on OLAP Connections.
Right click on the connection and click User Security.
Assign Full Control to the User on the connection.

[BO 4.0] Webi scheduling issue

Hi,
We are using Business Objects 4.0. i have a webi report that uses SAP BW as source. We are using DF to create universes for these webi report. In DF Admin tool, we have manually mapped the RFC connection to programID field. While scheduling this webi report, scheduling fails with the following reason,
Database error: [Data Federator Driver] [Server] [Connector 'RC_SalesAw'] Connection failure: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts on 172.16.8.135 sysnr 01. (IES 10901)
Note that we are providing the corrrect user name / password for these users.
Please provide your inputs on this issue.

despite your assurances, it clearly indicates that the logon string provided for the relational BW connection is not authenticating correctly..
Whilst your BO logon may be correct, i would encourage you to check all the credentials used elsewhere in this connectivity
Does this same universe refresh correctly when running webi in ad-hoc mode? i.e. not scheduling?
If Yes - i'd recommend you log a Support message.
