Skype will not change a user account name; please contact Skype Customer Service as noted in this FAQ article to remove your account from the search directory:
'Can I delete my Skype account?'
Removing your account from the search directory effectively closes the account from further use, and you would need to create a new account.
Important: If you are being threatened or endangered, contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.

  • Internal Error when viewing an activity in E-Rec after a username change

    Hello,
    Hereu2019s a brief explanation of the scenario that we are in:
    u2022 We created a new User ID for an employee because of his/her name
    change.
    u2022 We then attached this new User Id to her HR master records using Info
    Type 105 (IT0105) subtype 1 (ST01).
    u2022 This employee already had her previous User ID attached to his HR
    master records using the same IT0105 ST01. So now, this employee has 2
    IT0105 ST01 records.
    u2022 We transferred these records (old and new ids) to E-Recruiting via
    ALE process.
    To do this ALE process, we executed RBDMIDOC program on the system
    where our HR Master Data reside.
    u2022 Then in our e-recruiting system, we executed RBDAPP01 to process
    these idocs.
    u2022 This processing delimited the old User ID and created a new User ID
    for the same person in the e-recruiting system. We can view this
    relationship in HRP1001.
    u2022 Now, prior to her name change, this person had performed some
    activities on a candidateu2019s records in E-Recruiting. Obviously, these
    activities were performed with his old user ID. So those activities
    have the old user ID associated with them.
    u2022 After sending the new User Id in e-recruiting, when we go to view
    those candidate activities in candidate overview, the system throws the
    internal error message.
    The format that we use for creating usernames is last name first letter of first name, i.e. Bob Jones would look like JONESB.
    At present the only way to remedy the situation is to have the recruiter who's name (and username) changed manually change it for each activity.
    After opening up a message with SAP they responded with:
    Dear Customer,
    That's right. The reason why this recruiter doesn't see his/her
    activities is because they were created under a different user.
    E-Recruiting is designed with a stable CP-US relationship. If you
    do a delimination this can cause problems for the recruiter (as
    mentioned above) as in IT5131 the user is stored as team member.
    If the user assigned to a CP changes, the responsible candidate class
    cannot be instanced anymore. So we strictly recommend not to delimit theCP-US relation.
    Has anyone else experienced the problem?  How did you address it?  It has been my experience to use the name of the employee when creating a username.  This has never been a problem in our core system, just in E-Recruiting.

    You have to look at the line above it to gather what's happening.  As I mentioned it making a call to get the contents of the Data Source using GetDataSourceContents.  What you might try is making the same call using Microsoft APIs and PowerShell.

  • LEAP, ACS 3.1 Active Dir username changes

    We have an active directory domain.
    We have users with 350 pcmcia cards in their thinkpads connecting to 1200 APs set to allow authentication to an external DB (the AD domain).
    Everything was happy until a user got married.
    Her name changes.
    My day is ruined.
    Now, when she logs in the ACS server flags it as a failed attempt instantly. I can replicate this perfectly. It doesn't allow her to login. When she sits down at a wired machine she can login with no problems. So we know the account is good. What I can't understand is why, if we're set to pass unknown users and all authentication to the external DB (AD domain), this doesn't work? Surely the ACS server should just treat this new username as unknown and bounce it to the AD domain?
    Anyone seen this before? Or perhaps more importantly anyone fixed this yet? I've posted over at CCO on the cisco site and no luck there yet. I've also googled extensively and nothing of use. Lots of info on password changes but nothing on username changes.

    What does the error in the "Failed Attempts" log say on the ACS server?
    Is there a single AD domain in your org? If there are multipel domains, could there be a user with the same username in another domain that ACS is checking first?

    So I've had this account for many years, but since it is possible to get an IP via Skype calls and so on.
    I would like to change my username, since I removed many contacts that I don't know and don't want
    them in my list.
    Is it possible for me to change my username?
    I only ask for username-change, nothing advanced. I would really like this to happen
    since I really want to protect my identity. I've had some DDoS attacks lately too.

    i need to get my username change or disable the ability for people to add me for a month, because someone posted my username on skype dating sites. Please help i have random people adding me and i have to keep blocking them

    Hi, Parcool, and welcome to the Community,
    To remove/delete a Skype account, as explained here, 'Can I delete my Skype account?',  is permanent.  Once a Skype account name has been created, it can not be changed.  Unfortunately, in these circumstances, you may need to consider starting a new account and removing the account which was maliciously posted.

  • BPC 7.5NW Username Change Issue

    I've been having a weird issue when a user has a name change. As an example, I have an initial user (DOMAIN\clwho) that has access to BPC and everything is working fine. She gets married and changes her user ID (DOMAIN\cwdoe) in active directory and requests that her new ID has the same access in BPC as the old one. If we add the new credentials to BPC and assign it all the same rights and stop there then everything is fine. However, if we delete the old username (DOMAIN\clwho) then she can no longer log in. The message we get is that DOMAIN\clwho doesn't have permission even though we're attempting to log in with DOMAIN\cwdoe.
    Any idea why this is happening? I thought there would be something in active directory causing it, but the guys who manage that tell me that they don't see anything mapping DOMAIN\cwdoe to DOMAIN\clwho. I'd like to be able to just add DOMAIN\clwho back into BPC, but that ID no longer exists in AD.

    I did try to remove everything for that user from the Admin Console and then just recreate the access for the new user id, but it still doesn't work. Do you know which table references the SID and User ID? I tried to find something in all of the UJE_* tables, but no luck.

  • Username changed into losing everything, how do I get my stuff back?

    So I decided to change my username on my mac, the one that comes up on the top right hand corner of your screen near the clock.
    Anyway I googled the instructions it said to change it through advanced options and I did and now I can't access my files from my old username.
    I know it gave me a warning prior and I followed all the correct instructions but now everything's gone and I'm freaking out!
    I can see through the 'about this mac' that the files are existing somewhere through the memory drive but I need it to convey on my new username.
    Someone help!!

    The Mac is inherently a Multi-User system, even if you are the only one using it.
    It is very unlikely your files are GONE, it is far more likely they are now inaccessible to the current settings for your current User-Id.

  • BT Broadband Talk Softphone - Username change to T...

    Hello Everyone.  One to raise the blood pressure.
    I have been happily using BT Broadband Talk Softphone for over 2 years & have been logging on using a text user-name.  Over this period I have generated a large contact list and history.  In particular, I use the history for billing clients and supporting queries - this is critical information.  The PC concerned is backed up every night so I have no worries over data loss.
    Approximately 48 hours ago I was unable to logon using my text username.  I am now only able to logon using the telephone number and relevant password which works correctly.
    I have just spent an incredibly frustrating 75 minutes with BT Broadband Technical Support who, in the end, pointed me to these forums to get a solution.  They say that text usernames have not been used for approaching 2 years and this problem relates to an upgrade.  I have NOT upgraded or changed anything.
    I now have two sub-folders under 'C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Roaming\BT\BT Broadband Talk Softphone\' - one for the telephone number, one for my text username.  Each folder contains 'contacts-resource-list.xml' and 'history.cps'.  These files are not in text format.
    How do I either open BT Broadband Talk Softphone with my old text username or get the data from my old 'history.cps' ??  I have tried copying data & renaming folders - there is obviously a link between the username/password and the data files.

    I have drop you a reply to your email. I have been in contact with the BT Softphone team, they have confirmed that username function has been reinstated and you should now be able to log onto your Softphone account using your username.   • User getting rsAccessDenied for her old username after her username changed when following a link on a DDS report.

    Our environment is SharePoint 2007, and SSRS in SharePoint integrated mode.  A user was married so her last name changed and as a result her username was also changed.  She is still able to run the reports directly in SharePoint just fine.
    However when she receives an emailed report via Data Driven Subscription it includes a link with a url to SSRS with the SharePoint url as a parameter.  It looks something like this

    When clicking on this link she gets the error "The permissions granted to user 'DOMAIN\oldusername' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)."
    So somewhere, her old username is being associated with whatever credentials are being passed using integrated security... where can I reset this?

    According to the error message, it seems that the issue is accurred by the user use old username to connect to report server, but the old username has been deleted. So it has insufficient to connect report server. In this scenario, you can try to double
    check the permission about report server in SharePoint.

    Hi, SQlstudy, thanks for the response.  The old username does not exist since the account has been renamed.  I checked the permissions to the report in SharePoint and the user does have access under her new username.  I just don't know why SSRS
    thinks she is using her old username.

    I've got this profile for long. I created this, because gtklocker (which is my universal username) wasn't available.
    After some thoughts, I remember I've created this account (the gtklocker one), but I had forgotten the password and given a wrong email address.
    Can someone delete the other account and change my username to "gtklocker", as it ought to have been?

    150 posts is not the end of the world .
    Normally any admin/mod can reset the password. However, if gtklocker is the account you registered, I don't see any possibility to change passwords, while on your present account, there is:

    I have changed my username and now I cannot synchro my iCloud and I cannot find where to change it, both on my iPad and on my mac, can anybody help me ?

    On your Mac you go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with the ID you want to use.  On your iPad, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with the new ID.  Note: if you have any photo stream photos that you want to save on your iPad, save them to the camera roll before deleting the account.

  • Username changed, now can't login to wiki site

    We have our 10.9 server bind via dual directory.  Recently a user got married and we changed their username in AD.  This shows up in the server app as the married name and everything looks fine.  The problem is the person can no longer login to wiki site.  They get the incorrect username or password error.  They can not login with their old username either.  Has anyone run into this?

  • EDir username change resulting in WebDAV problems in Vibe

    Hello everybody,
    currently we are using a Vibe 3.3 on a SLES11 machine which was doing quite well, till a few days ago as one of the users married and the name had to be changed. After the name change in eDir, Vibe imported the new name via the scheduled LDAP sync and everything seemed to be ok.
    But now after working a few days with Vibe it showed that there is a problem with the WebDAV connection in Vibe. The user gets a Tomcat error reporting: Internal Server Error: Service org.apache.slide.simple.store.WebdavStoreMacroAdap ter@201532fc access error: No User with <New Username of the User> found.
    If I take a look at the user in his Vibe workspace I see his name like this: "Surename NewLastname (user-ID)" and the user-ID still has the old value.
    Now the question ist, do I experience a bug which might be fixed with the 3.4 version of Vibe? Has anyone else experienced this problem after renaming a user in eDir?
