Using a program named JavaBloodBowl, Java crashes my computer.

Hi, I play a game named Blood Bowl which is a Java executable file, and recently I've had a lot of trouble playing the game. The game either uses a direct IP connection or a proxy server to connect to someone else to play. However, almost every game I've played recently has caused my computer to freeze. The people I have talked to are certain the error is caused by Java. Is there some error log Java uses where I can check on the exact status of the error, or can anyone else help me as to what I can do?

I am developing a stand-alone java program. Lately,
whenever I debug or run the program it will shutdown
my computer. At first I thought it was the IDE
(Eclipse) I was using, so I switched to simple text
editor and command line compiles and runs.... it
still happened. Virus-infected files?
So my questions are:
1) If it is my program, what steps can I take to find
out why? (The crash always happens right when I
launch the program). Debug and watch whether it always happens at the same moment. But IMO it's unlikely because it's of your program.
2) Is it a memory issue? How can I find out?Could be in the sense of "defective RAM". Remove one bank. Try again. Set it back in and remove another bank. Try again.
3) Why would my computer crash when running a java
program? When I worked in C++, programs would crash
but not the computer. There was no time when my PC was booted more often than when I was writing C code in M$ VS6.

Hai all,
I am writing a java program which must read strings from a file and must assign to variables.these strings are nothing but the output of ls -l command in shell. i need to have all those 9 fields in a file as variables.
I cant find any method that will read only string.I came accross read line but that is not what i need.So, i thought of writing a shell script and by using awk, storing those 9 fields in 9 variables.. but how to use that variables in java programming???
the shell script is executed by exec() but i need that variables also.

I synchronized my bookmarks between 2 PCs using a program named Carry It Easy plus. My bookmarks updated but nowe my bookmark library is empty in organizer. Is there any way to repopulate? I've already tried restoring bookmarks.

Using the synchronization software, Carry It Easy +Plus, I synched all my bookmarks but ever since, my library in the Organize Bookmarks menu has been empty. I've tried restoring previous bookmarks, I've tried restarting both Firefox and the PC and nothing has worked.

Flash player crashes my computer when used . . . please help!

the newest versions of flash player required for use in you tube and hulu crash my computer and causes it to reboot. I'm using windows xp home edition 32 bit, have updated my drivers, and have tried to use several different versions of the flash player 10( installing the other versions first), as well as trying to use it in internet explorer 8, firefox 5, and google chrome. The computer does not crash unless the flash player is in use. I have tried everything I can think of, to no avail. This problem did not happen UNTIL I was forced to udate the flash player to the latest version in order to watch Hulu and you tube due to their requirements. PLEASE HELP!

Try using FireFox. IE will only run on a Mac if you run Windows on the Mac.

Firefox crashes when I try to use DataLoad, and I was able to use this program a month ago.

In the recent past I have been able to use a program called DATALOAD (shareware) to load data into Firefox web forms (specifically web based sales tax returns).
However, now every time I try it now Firefox crashes, so I am forced to use IE (which I hate). The last time I used Dataload was in April 2011 (for my quarterly tax returns).
On of the latest updates to Firefox must have a conflict with this program.
Can you please research to see what changed in Firefox to make it crash when using Dataload? I do not want to use IE if I do not have to.

But when I try exporting the movie again it creates the ICMMultiPassStorage file again. I have made sure my scratch disks are set to my external hard drive so I know that isn't the issue. How do I fix this problem so these temporary files are not being stored on my internal hard drive instead of my external?Thanks!

Try exporting the timeline "using current settings" via Make QuickTime Movie, then submit that clip to Compressor for the transcode. This should be faster and less painful.

Java Crashing Programs

I have a problem with running Java on my computer. Whenever I try to run an applet it crashes the program. Appletviewer shows a dialog box saying it wont run. I have tried this with the most elementary prewritten apps like "HelloWorld". I can execute java applications from the command prompt fine. I am running Windows 98. Whats the prob?

Free Constraint Programming Library for Java?? what to use?

Hi everyone,
I am currently programming the popular Sudoku game as my final year project at university. After doing some research I found that using Constraint Programming would be the best way to generate and solve the Sudoku puzzles... however, I'm in a bit of a dilemma....
I'm not sure what Constraint Library to use - the most popular one out there is Koalog - but its a commercial application - and I was looking for an open source or free application.
I have been looking into the Choco (http://choco.sourceforge.net) Library but I am having trouble with getting hold of the global constraints I need ie AllDifferent.

Thanks for the user guide link -- I have looked through and I am beginning to understand it all.... but my main problem is that the user guide specifies a global constraint called allDifferent
Here are described som of those constraints :
1. pb.allDifferent(IntVar[] vars) creates a constraint ensuring that all pairs of variable
have distinct values (which is useful for some matching problems)When I try to type pb.allDifferent into my program - it does not recognise the method so it does not compile- all the other methods work apart from this one.

Hi,
I am trying to execute a java program passing in input file as argument. I have to do this by forking a process and am using Processbuilder.
I have a main function which calls the executeCliTopologyDesigner method. I get a Java I/O exception
Caught IOException: Cannot run program "$JAVA_HOME/bin/java oracle.apps.fnd.provisioning.cli.TopologyDesigner ": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory
Can you please let me know if I am missing something?

Java crashes on a solaris 9 randomly with a core dump

Currently we are using JBoss Application server on solaris 9. Over a period of time. Java crashes suddenly. The condition under which this can be reproduced is currently not reproduceable. But over a period of time, this crash just happens.

Start your application this way, this should solve your problem.

Also, even if u are using 1.3.1, u can get the libjsig.so from 1.4.2 and do the same.

How to using the executable software in Java

I got a software named: pdf to text convertor; which can format the text interface from the pdf, for example, you need add the page number with a4 paper, then the convertor can change the pdf into text with page numbers. it is running on the doc, the command like: c:\pdfconvertor\xpdfrc.exe "c:\filename\name.pdf", after the text file will exist in the same directory with the pdf file.
so my problem is how to use java to call this DOS command to execute the program, and then java can read the text file, does some one give me some idea? better with simple java code!! Thanks very much! I will pay dollar for the solutions

You can use:

Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd);Wait for the process to finish:
p.waitFor()and do your thing with the output file.
Note there are mechanisms for capturing the input and output of the subprocess; see java.lang.Process javadoc.
