Using a SUBQUERY? Does it have a limit?

Question

I am using a subquery :
Select id_book from BOOK
where id_book in (Select id_book_tt from TEMPTABLE)
and id_book_type = 'B'
TEMPTABLE will return 800 id_book_tt
Now,how many values can the 'WHERE id_book in' clause hold that are returned back
from the SUBQUERY? Is the MAX LIMIT 255?
Is there a better way to do it?

TEST> select count(object_id) from dba_objects;
COUNT(OBJECT_ID)
            9495
TEST> select count(*) from dba_objects
  2  where object_id in (select object_id from dba_objects)
  3* and object_type='TABLE';
  COUNT(*)
      1341The 255 limit applies only when you explicitely list the elements ( where a in (1,2,3,4,5,...) ).
A better way? Well, it depends on your data model... without knowing what you're trying to acieve, the schema setup, etc it's impossible to give advices.
