Can anyone help me in this that what i am missing here? How can i use application alias on every tab click.??

You'll have to look at mod_rewrite in Apache to achieve what you want. There's a Oracle Application Express (APEX) usage.

  • How to change the application alias for a web project in NW7.2

    Hi,
    a simple question, but I could not manage to solve it: How do I change the application alias (the url) of a web project? I'm using Netweaver 7.2 and all the tutorials I found refer to earlier versions and do not work anymore.
    In particular, I would like to change e.g. "server.com/vendor~webbappname" (the standard url of the web project) to "server.com/mywebapp".
    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi,
    Try customizing the <context-root> element in the web.xml deployment descriptor, for example:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ASCII"?>
    <application xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
               xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
               xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee
              http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/application_5.xsd"
               version="5">
               <display-name>YourWebApp</display-name>
               <module>
                   <web>
                   <web-uri>YourWebApp.war</web-uri>
                   <context-root>mywebapp</context-root>
              </web>
         </module>
         <module>
              <ejb>YourWebAppEjb.jar</ejb>
         </module>
    </application>
    Afterwards, rebuild and redeploy your application.
    I hope that helps.

  • Can I use an alias to trick an application about the location of a support folder?

    OS X Server makes extensive use of alias files and folders, which evidently allows the storage of library folders and data on a drive other than the OS X drive.
    I would like to store the data for a similar program, Daylite Sever (also evidently using PostgreSQL), on a drive other than my OS X drive. To this end, I've tried creating an alias folder in the location where Daylite Server stores its "database" file, /Library/Application Data, but Daylite Server was not fooled. So, I was able to accurately reproduce the ACLs using chown and chmod. Daylite Server was still not fooled into following the alias to another volume. Note that the ACLs listed "_dayliteserver" as the owner, and I was unable to add this user through the "Get Info" GUI. I simply typed it into terminal using the chown command, and OS X seemed to accept it.
    Is it that some applciations just do not tolerate aliases? Must an application be preped to accept an alias instead of the folder it is looking for? Is there something other than the ACLs that I need to change to convince Daylite to follow the alias to a separate volume?
    Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

    Using the symlink almost worked. After creating the symlink, the app not longer fails on launch. Now, it simply hangs. The error I'm getting is "com.marketcircle.daylite.accessd caused server to be off with error: (null)". So, I think it is now a permissions issue.
    I know that I can change ACLs, and I've tried to do that on the symlink file I created using chmod and chown. I think I have the ACLs correctly, but I think there is another kind of permissions or access controls I need to adjust. Does any know what they are and how to adjust them?

    I can not download any files using Safari ? when I choose to download application file the URL include the file name and stop responding. Any help??

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The Guest login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
    Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
    Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
    Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    *Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, you can’t boot in safe mode.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
    After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • HP Application LifeCycle Management - URL for use with another Project Management Tool

    I'm trying to find a way to get a ALM Requirement URL that will work with other applications.  The URL from the COPY URL option (when right-clicking on the requirement) works for e-mails but I can't seem to get it to work for another project management application (Daptiv).  We would like to insert the QC Requirement link to another application where the user can access the requirements directly when clicking on the QC hyperlink.
    We have HP Application Lifecycle Management Software Version 11.00 Enterprise Edition.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    As Abhishek mentioned we dont need a calc manger or EPMA to migrate classic planning applications. You just need to log into shared services, expand file system and take a file system export, paste the export to the destination environment, now use it as a source and perform an import in the shared services of destination server. It worth having a look at:

  • URL checksum when using page alias

    Hello to all.
    I'm using Apex v4.1.1.00.23, and I'm having a problem when using page aliases in URLs.
    When creating a list with links to Apex pages, if I use a page alias, then no checksum is generated. I tried this using the "classic" way to create list entries (i.e. "Create list entry" and entering desired values in the "Target" region), and also using a dynamic list and an SQL query.
    For example:
    SELECT 1
    ,'First page'
    ,apex_util.prepare_url( 'f?p=&APP_ALIAS.:1:&APP_SESSION.::NO:1::', p_checksum_type => 'SESSION')
    FROM DUAL
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 1
    ,'Second page'
    ,apex_util.prepare_url( 'f?p=&APP_ALIAS.:second_page:&APP_SESSION.::NO:second_page::', p_checksum_type => 'SESSION')
    FROM DUAL
    For the second link, I always get "Session State Protection Violation", but the first one works fine.
    Both pages have the "Page Access Protection" set to "Arguments Must Have Checksum".
    I tried to set up an example on apex.oracle.com, but it seems that in v4.2 this problem is fixed :)
    So, is there any way to use page aliases while session state protection is active?
    Thank you for any help that may come by,
    best regards.

  • Application Alias not working with Global Single Sig on

    I have a intranet applications, with login against https://login.oracle.com that is working fine. However, when I try to use the Application Alias, defined on Applications Attributes, it's not working, redirecting to an invalid page:
    https://htmldb.oraclecorp.com/pls/htmldb/-PORTAL_SSO-
    How can I make this work, I mean, using alias, instead of applications number?
    Thanks in advance,
    Andre Silveira

    Andre,
    Assuming your application's ID is 9999 and its alias is AAAA, you may be finding that a request like f?p=9999 and f?p=AAAA produce the same results, those you described. When using SSO as the authentication scheme, it's necessary to provide the page ID or page alias in the URL also, e.g, f?p=AAAA:PPPP or f?p=AAAA:1.

  • Using directory alias with a wanboot installation

    I have setup a Jumpstart server and have been using it for a while without issues. Now I want to incorporate wanboot into the process so that I do not need boot servers in each of our subnets. Since the jumpstart directory structure is already in place and I have apache running on the same server, I did not want to have to recreate the whole jumpstart directory structure. So I decided to create an alias in the apache configuration for the jumpstart directory:
    root@swamphenxb:/usr/local/apache2/conf> cat httpd.conf
    <snip>
    # ScriptAlias: This controls which directories contain server scripts.
    # ScriptAliases are essentially the same as Aliases, except that
    # documents in the target directory are treated as applications and
    # run by the server when requested rather than as documents sent to the
    # client. The same rules about trailing "/" apply to ScriptAlias
    # directives as to Alias.
    Alias /jumpstart /export/jumpstart
    ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "/usr/local/apache2/cgi-bin/"
    </IfModule>
    <IfModule cgid_module>
    # ScriptSock: On threaded servers, designate the path to the UNIX
    # socket used to communicate with the CGI daemon of mod_cgid.
    #Scriptsock logs/cgisock
    </IfModule>
    # "/usr/local/apache2/cgi-bin" should be changed to whatever your ScriptAliased
    # CGI directory exists, if you have that configured.
    <Directory "/usr/local/apache2/cgi-bin">
    AllowOverride None
    Options None
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    </Directory>
    *<Directory /export/jumpstart>*
    AllowOverride None
    Options All
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    *</Directory>*
    The wanboot.conf file is located in /etc/netboot and looks with the following information:

  • "Add to bookmarks - button" for application with application alias

    How to make "add to bookmarks - button" to login page of the application with the application alias?
    The idea is to ensure that end-users are storing the application alias to bookmarks rather than the direct link to application id which might change.
    rgrds Paavo

    Jari, here are some of my trials hosted now in apex.oracle.com. All url's to be bookmarked are "hardcoded" in to the login page html-header's javascript function.
    Sample db application - url with workspace name.
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=COM_ORACLE_APEX_PRODUCT_PORTAL:LOGIN:0&c=PAAVO_POC
    - the LOGIN alias defaults to login page
    - the session id is = 0 as recommended here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/concept_url.htm#HTMDB03020
    - workspace name is actually Internal in the administration so omitting workspace name leads to error " Error The application alias "COM_ORACLE_APEX_PRODUCT_PORTAL" can not be converted to a unique application ID. ", perhaps other workspaces have also the same sample app alias
    - so used the PAAVO_POC as workspace name (got it during registration)
    - LOGIN page HTML-header is:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function bookmark()
    window.external.AddFavorite("http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=COM_ORACLE_APEX_PRODUCT_PORTAL:LOGIN:0&c=PAAVO_POC","COM_ORACLE_APEX_PRODUCT_PORTAL in ws paavo_poc");
    </script>- LOGIN page HTML Body attribute is:
    <form>
    <input type="button" onclick="bookmark()" value="Bookmark me">
    </form>- tried to also add "Click here to bookmark me" button in the login region with the following code (couldn't figure out how to do button for this via apex developer)
    <form>
    <input type="button" onclick="bookmark()" value="Click here to bookmark me">
    </form>- login doesn't work anymore
    Copy of the same sample application but with more different / more unique alias and without the "Click here to bookmark me" button in the Login-region.
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=paavos_product_portal:LOGIN:0&c=PAAVO_POC
    - the bookmark could be stored without workspace name, but it might break if the same app. alias name appears in some other workspace http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=paavos_product_portal:LOGIN:0
    - login works now because no hassling with the button-code in the Login-region :)
    Then fresh new application with the following URL's and with the same symptoms.
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=POCTEST_NO_B_BUTTON:LOGIN:0&c=PAAVO_POC
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=poctest:LOGIN:0&c=PAAVO_POC
    - Enter with "demo" and "ApexIsGood". Please don't kill my workspace with lots of 'fishes' :).
    It would be good to have the URL constructed dynamically e.g. fetching the application_alias_name and the correct workspace to be used.
    In perfect world it would also be good to have feature in for redirecting the user from old version to production 'application alias' with dynamic action requesting the user to update his/her bookmark.
    But as said I am bit stuck ..

  • SSO to Web App using Application Integrator - not working (SP15)

    Hi,
    I have created a web app system and generic app integrator iview for my web application (and set up user mapping etc.), following the Application Integrator how-to guide but it does not log me into my web application. I have got the Yahoo example working, and if I use a HTTP System & URL iview for my web application, that also works. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be, or where I should start looking?
    If I use a http sniffer, I can see the correct URL and parameters in the following:
    function requestTargetURL() {
          var theURL = "<b>HTTPS://(myserver)/log-in.htm?op=(####)&pwd=(####)</b>";
          var dsmObj;
          if (hasNestedFrameStructure()) {
            location.replace(theURL);
            dsmObj = parent.EPCM.DSM;
          } else {
            document.body.scroll = "no"; // for IE only
            var theIframe = document.getElementById("iframe_GETRedirect_592312569");
            theIframe.style.visibility = "visible";
            theIframe.src = theURL;
            dsmObj = EPCM.DSM;
            document.title = 'JDS';
        function onloadhandler(){
          setTimeout("requestTargetURL()",1);
    but something else must be happening for it not to work. Can anyone give me any pointers?
    Many thanks
    Jane

    Bit of a weird one: I've found a way to make it work but I'm not sure exactly how... the problem was that the portal was opening my web app URL in an iFrame (which can be seen from the code above). I tested this by just creating a html page with the URL + parameters in an iframe, and it wouldn't log me in (and took over the whole browser). So I guess the problem is with my web app rather than the portal.
    However... I then discovered that if I add my web app address to the Local Intranet security zone in my browser (IE6) settings (before it was in the Trusted Sites zone), it no longer minded being in an iFrame, my test html page worked and so does the portal iview. I cannot find which security setting is causing this - I've tried changing the Trusted Sites to match the Intranet zone settings exactly, but it still doesn't work if my web app address is Trusted opposed to Intranet.
    If anyone has any idea what is causing this behaviour, I'd be very grateful - obviously it isn't a portal issue but I'd still like to find out the cause in case it comes up again in the future.
    Many thanks,
    Jane

    Well,
    it's up to you. The first part (Mcit-Project-ViewController-context-root) is the context root which you define in the view controller project. 'faces' is the name the servlet filter reacts on. You can't omit it but shorten it in web.xml. The rest is your directory structure. I'm not sure how to shorten this other as to move the jspx files back into the web root folder.
    By the way an ADF faces app never uses the .jspx at the end of the url. If you specify '.jspx', you only render the page but don't start the work flow.

  • Can we integrate Lotus quickr into ep 7 using application integrator

    hi gurus,
    can we integrate lotus quickr in to ep 7 (i.e sso) using appliction integrator or do we have any other way to do sso,
    helpful replies are appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    K Naveen Kishore

    Hi,
    Tobias , thank you for you reply
    yes it is ,Lotus Quickr is a DMS(document management system) which sits on Lotus Domino server.
    i have done integrating Lotus quickr to ep 7,using application integration,
    what i have done:
    1)uploaded par file,
    2)ceated system template,
    3)created system using template,
    4)then iview using par,
    5)done usermapping
    in iview in the property
    URL Template Fragment for User Mapping : i have given
    Username=<MappedUser>&password=<MappedPassword>
    i took Username and password names from source of the login page of quicke
    document.write("<input id=\"user\" class=\"text\" type=\"text\" name=\"Username\" />");
    document.write("
    <label for=\"password\">""Password:""</label>
    document.write("<input id=\"password\" class=\"text\" type=\"password\" name=\"password\" />
    document.write("
    <input id=\"button\" type=\"submit\" name=\"login\" value=\"""Log In""\" />
    when i cliclk on preview
    finally page is displayed without user logedin, when i tried to login with this page with valid username and password same page is displayed .but when i tried with invalid username and password it is saying invalid username and password.
    also as u said  "Best way would be to configure Quickr to user Kerberos authentication"  if possible send me the step by  step guide for this.
    Regards
    K Naveen Kishore.

  • Use of Parameters in URL iViews

    I'm looking for information/documentation/examples of using parameters in URL iViews.  In particular, I'm hoping that we can pick up some portal runtime info to include as parameters in the URL  for a URL iView.
    For example, here at my customer, Kodak, we plan to have country specific roles.  The US Role will have a US specific Welcome Page which has a URL iView that points to a Content Management document for the US Welcome Page.  The problem is that I could have one US user who's preferred language (and Portal Language Preference) is English and another who's preference is Spanish.  Thus, I would need to point to the correct language version for the user.  To do this, I would like to be able to pick up the language preference in the current Portal session and include it in the URL.
    Is this possible?  Is it standard stuff? What types of user or session context information or parameters can we pick up to use in the target URL of a URL iView and how would I use or code it in the iView.
    Thanks for you help.

    Hi John & Luis,
    The standard solution is the <i>Application Integrator</i> :
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/the application integrator in ep 6.0
    A flexible way of providing parameters to it (if the standard options described in the above document are not enough) is to write a <i>Customer Parameter Provider</i> :
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/ep/how to start transaction iviews with a dynamically computed language.pdf
    Hope that helps,
    Yoav.

  • Report Bug: Application Alias Issue

    Hi,
    I have a unique problem of Application Alias not working. For a particular application only this happens. For all other Application in this DB it works nicely.
    I am using ApEx 3.0.1
    Regards
    Rana

    Rana,
    You have not described your problem in sufficient detail for posting to a technical forum. Also you present (and probably do not have) evidence that supports your claim that your problem is unique. Why would it be? Please explain the situation fully and create a demonstration on apex.oracle.com, if you can.
