Using CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF - 2 PDFs are being generated instead of 1

We are doing upgrade project and problem what i am facing is that
when a mail sent to vendor 2 PDF files are sent. Earlier it was sending 1 file as attachment in 4.6 C.
Can any body help on this issue

Do they contain the same/are they identical? Did you maybe change the page so that two copies are generated? What do you use to create the form - SAPScript or Smartforms?

Multiple ALEAUD Idocs are being generated per original Idoc

We have the following scenario in PI:
ERP (IDOC)> PI (JDBC)> 3rd Party
PI sends ALEAUD idocs back to ERP when the process is successful. Program RBDAPP01 is then ran on a schedule to update the ALEAUD idoc status, which in turn, updates the idoc status of the orignal idoc sent from ERP (03 to 12).
We just upgraded our PI from 7.0 to 7.1. Now, it seems multiple ALEAUD idocs are being created for each ERP outbound idoc. It used to be 1-to-1. From what I can tell, it look like an ALEAUD it created for every receiver. For example, if we sent one idoc and the data goes to 3 receivers, 3 ALEAUD idocs are created. This causes an issue because the first ALEAUD idoc will update the original outbound idoc to status 12, but any other ones will take it from status 12 to status 09. We want it to stay in status 12.
Any ideas why 7.1 would be any different?

This seems to be the standard behavior. I will explain it.
If an idoc comes and message is sent to say three receivers, all the three message should generate the ack unless they are not disabled. And in this case you will find multiple ALEAUD message at sender. In case the receiver adapters are like File, JDBC which do not support application ack, then ALEAUD won't be sent and you will receiver "Applicaition Ack Not Supported". With this error, if multiple ack are seen in sender then I guess they won't actually perform any update.

PDFs are not generated from Burst

This is my bursting delivery query below (which took me a loooong time to figure out!). I am bursting to the file system on the OBIEE server. Funnily enough when i change the output format to RTF, then the bursting works perfectly, but if i change it to PDF, i get this error. I have looked and looked for a reason as to why this happens but i have no idea. I can see in the job history that the data is split correctly and i can see that it generates the documents (they are shown when i click on Republish). Please if anyone has any idea, please reply - i desperately want to get this working, and i have no idea why it doesnt work.
I have checked the logs and it seems that everything generates correctly, and when i open the .out files produced in AdobeReader everything opens successfully and the document has the correct information. It is also not related to permissions on the folder specified in the bursting query -> if i use the runReport webservice for the same report and specify C:\Temp as the output path ( and pdf as the attributeFormat), the file is written out correctly. It seems that the problem is with writing out more than one pdf file, but why???????? Not sure if it has anything to do with the scheduler at all ( i run the report by using the RunNow option in the scheduler)?

Check if you have defined twice the message in VV33. Check the entries in table NAST (number of entries, ...)
Sometimes, some mail boxes where have a lot of messages, doesnt know if they have sent the message, so, they send twice or more until they know that it has been sent. So, check how many entries you have in SOST. If you have a lot, reorganize sost. So, check Note 510969 - SAPoffice: Reorganization - Corrections and related notes.

How do we know how many PDFs are generated?

Hello All-
We have created an Application ID with enough credentials on it to call the Adobe Services and our developers are using WebServices to call the Form Server in their code with that particular App Id and Generate the PDFs and what we really want to know is if there is any setting in the Adminui or in the code where we can set that and see how many PDFs are being generated for a period of time from that particular App Id? We are not using PDFGen component.
we are using Adobe LiveCycle 8.0.1 SP3, WebSphere 6.1 and DB2 8.2 database.
It will be great if someone can tell me if they did this before.

On the old discussion software, they had distinctive avatars and identifiers under the avatars. They could have adopted distinctive avatars with the new forum software but they didn't. The reason that they didn't, I assume, is because the new software allows secondary icons to identify users. Every level had its own icon, the Hosts had their own icon, and Apple employees had theirs. This identification system was temporarily disabled along with the rest of the levels and reputations because of the performance hit that was being caused. It may come back if they can fix the performance problems.
Until then, Hosts and Apple employees have been using text signatures, such as "Apple Discussions Host" to identify themselves. There may be Apple employees who have not gotten the word about the text signatures.
BTW, to see what I mean by the identification icons, look at how Jive has implemented this feature on their own support forums. On this forum page, look to the right in the box labeled "Legend".

PDFs are created incomplete on my MAC

Recently my PDFs are being created incomplete (bits left off) on my mac. Is anyone else having trouble?? Any solutions??

Duplicate requisitions being generated.

I have two issues that are similar:
***FIRST -
On 5/2/08 I cut a PO (4500113566) for Material 1000067027 (requisition 100213878).
A few days later another requisition was generated (100216117) for the exact same Material. Min/Max on the Material master is set to 1 and 1, there are no reservations and no work order assigned.
***SECOND -
On 4/28/2008 I cut a PO (4500113270) for the following materials and
quantities:
MM 1000071901 (req# 100214520) Qty 3
MM 1000071902 (req# 100214521) Qty 2
MM 1000071903 (req# 100214522) Qty 2
A few days later duplicate reservations were generated for the exact same materials. With no work orders or reservations assigned and the Min / Max levels set to the appropriate levels.
MM# 1000071901 (req# 100215638) - qty 1 Min/Max 1/1 MM# 1000071902 (req# 100215639) - qty 2 Min/Max 2/2 MM# 1000071903 (req# 100215640) - qty 2 Min/Max 2/2

I am not sure please give it a try, Auto Syndication Task Delay (seconds) Integer. Default is 0. Check if it helps..

Logs not being generated

I have two wfe servers, in one server the logs file are being generated but another server no log files only usage files
what could be the reason. Under central admin monitoring uls logs have been already enabled.

DAC source system parameters not being generated

HI all,
We are implementing BI apps 7962 with Informatica 861 Hot FX11, OBIEE 101341 on Linux5. We have installed and set up the configuration completely. The Informatica services are created and the DAC was configured with the Source System Parameters. When I generated the execution plan parameters, the files are being generated in the SRC files folder. But it seems like the source system parameters I set in the DAC client are not being picked up.
For example I have set the Initial Extract date as 1/1/2008. But when I ran the load and saw the log files it still seems like the Initial Extract date is 1/1/1970. We have set the custom property for Integration Service overrideMpltVarWithMapVar as Yes. Please help me if any one has seen this before.

Hi,
When you have configured all the tasks in DAC, while running the loads DAC will generate the parameter files at runtime.
You need to make sure that parameterfileDW.txt and parameterfileOLTP.txt files are present in DAC Installation Directory\bifoundation\DAC\Informatica\Parameter\Input folder.
If these files are not present in the above mentioned location then you need to copy them from Informatica Installation Directory\PowerCenter 8.6.1\server\Infa_Shared\SrcFiles folder.

Why are bookmarks generated intermittently when PDF created using EXCEL VBA?

I have Windows 7 installed and Acrobat Pro 9 installed. There is an EXCEL application that creates PDFs successfully. Howver, bookmarks are generated sometimes and sometimes they are not generated. This happens without changing any code. I am at my wits end and would appreciate any assistance. Here is the code:

Help Determining Which Methods/Classes Are Being Used

I'm having issues with my company's Java application and because I've luckily narrowed the classes down to a meager 30+ I need some help pinpointing my problem.
I realize there are a lot of Java monitoring applets/applications and some are deployment-specific but I need something very detailed-- I haven't found the features I need.
Specs:
Jrun4, Java 1.4, Windows Server 2003
I would like to have a monitor that tells me exactly (real-time) what classes, methods, variables, etc. are being called in real-time. Looking at the JRun launcher console for one process gives me this:

        Problem: $var5 = null;Sorry if I'm rambling, I just want to know what is where and who it's calling when it breaks. Then I could deduce which class, what variable, what page, etc. My application is very complicated and seemingly mundane changes can throw it all off.

We'll look into usage tracking. We're on the standard edition, so I'm not sure if it's available. Also, some of these reports may be quarterly -- so there may be a long wait to see if the view is used and I need to know fairly soon. (If it's not used, it saves us some work in a project transition going on.)
I certainly don't understand the underlying structure of the product, but it seems like there should be some way to determine if a view is used by a report. I apologize if I'm not using the correct terminology. Thanks for your help -- we'll keep looking into it.

ALV o/p TO PDF Converison using CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF

My rquirement is to attach the output of ALV report to the mail as PDF file.I am using FM "CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF" for converting the ALV ouput to PDF format but when i check the data in PDF fomat table , it's corrupted and thus pdf file opens with error in the mail.
Can anyone have some suggestion please !!!

Emails not being generated using UDF

Hi,
We had setup a functionality to send email via UDF using the following blog.
Mail without email adapter? Part - I - Process Integration - SCN Wiki
This worked fine for some time. However, it does not generate emails anymore. There were no changes done on the objects. We checked the java mail service settings as suggested in some of the SCN posts and everything looks configured fine.
We are not able to determine what is preventing the emails from being generated. Any pointers would be really helpful.
We are using SAP PI 7.31 java only installation.

SharePoint Databases - How to determine which ones are being used and which ones aren't

I am not sure where to exactly post this question. On the SQL Server side or on a SharePoint side.
I am a SQL Server Database Administrator who is monitoring some SharePoint databases. On a daily basis it seems that they are creating new databases but don't delete the databases that they are no longer using. For example, they might be testing
on a development server and if things aren't working properly instead of asking that the databases be deleted they just go ahead and create new databases to do what ever they need to do. Is there a way on the SQL Server side to determine which SharePoint
databases are being used and which ones aren't being used? Or does one determine this information through the SharePoint Central Administration console?
