Using different hierarchy in a query and last value error

Hi guys,
there is a hierarchy for customers in the 0Customer Infoobject which I should use in my query.
I have activated the hierarchy in the query and now some results are not appearing but red crosses "x" are shown.
And the error message: The function Calculate Results as ... could not be applied everywhere.
I know that I am using the result as "last value" for some columns because I need them there (for example: to determine the last value for the credit limit of the current month). I think these columns where I am using the last value calculation are only affected.
I mean my query has a lot of characteristics and key figures and I was told that a hiearchy for customers which is available should be used. But now there are these red crosses.
I don´t see any other solution as not to use this specific hierarchy.
Has anybody a suggestion what could be an argument to use or not to use a hierarchy?
Is it sometimes like in my case that a hierarchy is not possible to use?

Hi,
say for example your customer hierarchy is customers grouped under region. You can maintain this region as one of the attribute of customer and you can display this attribute in the report. Indirectly, this will give similar output to that of hierarchy.
But lot depends on how your hierarchy is formed, before commenting whether it can be moved to master data attributes.

We need to display different LOVs in af:query and af:form for the same attribute in VO.
Is it possible to use LOV Switcher for this ?
What condition can we use in LOV Switcher attribute to check if it is View Critearia row or VO row ?

We have a VO attribute "User" which needs to be displayed as LOV in a Search Panel ( af:query component created using View Critearia ) and in a af:form.
When this VO attribute is displayed in search panel, in LOV, we need to show all users.
When this VO attribute "User" is displayed in a form for editing, in LOV, we need to show only active users.
For this, we created two LOVs "ActiveUsersLOV" ( which shows only active users ) and "AllUsersLOV" ( which shows all users ) on VO attribute "User".
LOVSwitcher attribute should return "ActiveUsersLOV" if the LOV is displayed in form and "AllUsersLOV" if the LOV is displayed in search panel.

Last execution query and last user

Hello,
I'd like to know last execution time of a query and last user - table RSZCOMPDIR provides the "Owner" and "Last changed by" only.
I don't want to install the technical content.
Have you any idea, which table contains this information (BW 3.1 used)?
Besides, Can I have same information about a query executed by WebTemplate (therefor via WEB)?

Hi,
You can find this information in RSDDSTAT_OLAP table.
Enter the query's technical name in OBJNAME field and a date in CALDAY one. It will be returned a list of all users (UNAME field) that executed the query in that day (sort the list by UTIME field to get to know who was the last user).
The logs in this table are generated regardless the way through which the queries are executed - WAD, Analyser etc.

Using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog

I have a site which was created in Adobe Muse and is hosted on Business Catalyst.
I have created both a desktop and a phone versions of the site.
I want to know how I can integrate the blogs that I currently have on the desktop site with the phone version that I just did, using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog. This is in order to ensure that visitors to the blogs on the website are directed to the templates that render correctly for the devices they are using.
My current approach has been to create both a desktop and phone versions of the blogs. The problem with this however, is that the dates are different and the comments are separated between the two blog versions!
I have also tried enabling mobile templates in BC, but still couldn't find a way to specify the mobile versions of the templates for the same blog?
To recap my problem, I basically need a solution where the same blog uses different templates for desktop and mobile (both templates use different navigation headings and menu styles)

There can be few reason for this, including page contents links or contents used in phone/tablet version.
Please provide the site url , also try to publish the site as a trial site in Business Catalyst with all layouts which would help to isolate the issue.

Message Mapping, First and last values in a CSV file

I'm having problems with a Message Mapping that requires me to take the values from the first line in a CSV and the last line to calculate other values...
The source message type in my mapping is as follow

I need to take the first row/occurence of Records and use this to calculate the Startime. I also need to take the last occurence of Records to calculate the stop time
This is my CSV file content

D     20080101     1     2     61.1344
D     20080101     2     1     61.1344
In this case I need to take the values 1     1 for the StartTime and 2    1 for the StopTime.
How can this be done?

Do u have problem with mapping or content conversion. According to my understanding the problem is with content coversion. U can't take the first and last values in CSV file. Probably u can import all the values and during mapping u can seggregate the required structure alone.

Data Blocks - Different data source for Query and DML

Would anyone please tell me if it is possible in a BLOCK to define a stored procedure for queriying and a table for DML operations or vice-versa at the SAME time.
If possible how do you do it using DATA BLOCK WIZARD? If you select your block to be based on stored procedure then it gives only stored procedure options for Querying and DML operations in next few screens.
Also, suppose I used a stored procedure defined in a block for insert operations, is it implicitly called by INSERT RECORD function key in default menu? How does it take values from different fields on its own?

We get data from both BSIK(open items)and BSAK (cleared items). Obviously if a accounting doc is not cleared it would be in open items and vice versa..

How to use different mail address in "from" and "user" property?

I'd like to use the user enter mail address as the "from" property and use my mail account to send it, but I got error: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 553 You are not authorized to send mail, authentication is required when set different mail address in "from" and "user" property, how to resolve this problem?

Basically that's a bad idea. Suppose you used your server to send messages that claimed to come from "[email protected]"? Naturally enough people have tried that, either as a joke or as an attempt at fraud, so that servers will check to see if the message is coming from the server it claims to be coming from. And if it isn't -- as in that example -- it will consider it a forgery. Best case (for you) is that the server will flag it as spam or junk. Worst case is that your server will be blacklisted and other servers will ignore it.

Use different DPS accounts for iPad and Android versions of same app?

When creating an Android version of an iPad DPS app should the account used to create the content (the 'Title ID' in the DPS App Builder) be the same for both versions, or different? In the content viewer I know that iPad content will show up even on Android, so I'm thinking that the answer is probably no, but I haven't managed to find it mentioned in the Adobe docs.

It depends, but usually the answer is that you want to use a different account for iOS and Android. Not all features supported in the iOS viewer are supported in the Android viewer. For example, if you use panoramas or iOS-specific web views in your articles, you'll want to be able to use different content for the Android viewers. Search for "dps supported features" for a comparison chart.
I use different Application accounts for my apps. I use the Share/Copy feature to transfer the folios from the iOS account to the Android (or Windows) account. Then I delete the few articles that don't work well in the viewer and replace them with articles generated from different source files. That works well and doesn't require too much extra effort.
If you want to reduce the amount of letterboxing in Android viewers, you'll definitely want to use different accounts and use, for example, 1280x800 folios instead of 1024x768.

Different Footer on First page and last pages

I am trying to display Continue on first page and middle pages and Total Amount on last page on a multipage PO. I can display different footer page for first page and last page but the middle pages don't have a footer. How to do this if possible. There are so many threads here but not one gives the exact steps.

Problem using different Adobe accounts for CC and Typekit

I've had a Typekit account for some time and just recently signed up for CC. Both my Typekit and CC accounts use different Adobe IDs. I then linked my Typekit account to my CC account to enable font syncing, only to discover afterwards that apparently this is a thing you should not do.
Now when I log in to Typekit, all of my previous sets are gone and it acts like I'm a brand new Typekit user. Is it possible to unlink my accounts and get all of my sets back like I had before?

Most likely you have set up a new account as part of your Creative Cloud subscription, and the kits are still there under you previous email. We will take a look and let you know what needs to happen to get this sorted out!

How to check the maximum Value and Last value in Reports CP column

First of all i am sory that iam posting this question in forms instead of Reports....i had posted it in reports but no one reply and i need uirgent solution so I post here....
My problem is that in Report I have calculated some values in CP column......Like
:CP_Total := :Frieght * Rate ...etc
Know i want to ask that how can I get the last value that will be return the by this column????and also the maximum value that it will return

You mast build Summary column out of the query and select maximum to your maximum value of CP in Report level (or last for last value).

First and last values of this month

Hi ,
In my reporting I want to calculate average value based on amount.
Avg = ( Starting amount of this month + Ending amount of this month) / 2.
How can i get the starting value and ending value for one field "Amount".
I changed the <b>amount</b> properties as Sum, Last value and based 0calday.
but for the same amount how can I get the starting value.
(NOTE: Starting value is not equal to the last month last value).
The data is coming based on day wise.
Suggest me ...

Can you tell me which cube you are working with, and what is the key figure ?
What you can do is have a RKF which will have a selection variable for fiscal year period for the current month(which could be a user entry and mandatory entry).
Now create a copy of the above RKF and use a off set of -1 for the variable fiscal year period.
now the valu you get from the first RKF will be the month end balance and the value you get for the second RKF will be the closing balance of previous month, which is nothing but the opening for the user inputed month.
Now you can create a CKF to get the average.

IPhoto 11 Book 1st and last page errors

When previewing my completed book, the 1st and last page have white lines going through them.
How can i fix this so I can buy it.

Boot into Safe Mode and preview the book. If the first and last page photos are OK order the book from the Safe Mode. It's a problem others are having and worked around it with the Safe Mode boot.

Using Table Name reference in formula results in #VALUE error

In Excel 2010, I have an OLE DB connection that brings in data from an SQL query. Excel automatically created the table reference for this (Table1). The table contains headers and Excel knows this; they are formatted in the table as such.
When I try to use a SUMIF function and ask it to sum the column Table1[Column], I get a #VALUE error. I'm assuming because Excel is including the header in the data, which is a text entry. Otherwise, all the other values in the column are numbers.
I'm currently using a defined named range to get round the issue but I'd like to use the table reference instead because as the SQL data grows and shrinks, so does the table range that Excel performs calculations on.

This should not happen, by default the [column] syntax only refers to the data, not to the header. I expect there is one or perhaps more rows which contain text.
Try selecting the column in question and use F5, Special, constants and only leave the "Text" checkbox checked.

Cfloop query and last row

Hello everyone,
I was trying looping over a query which has to be executed
only when the last row of a previous loop has been reached. The
question is: I have nested loops, I am able to print the values
based on two loops:
for example: <cfloop query="advisor">
<cfloop students>
</cfloop>
</cfloop>
I am able to get student values for a particular advisor and
print the values for different advisor and students. I am trying to
include another loop like grades within advisor loop which should
be executed at the end of students list for that particular
advisor. What I am doingg right now is displaying the values in a
table format.

<tr>Advisor</tr>
<tr>Student1<tr>
<tr>Student2</tr>
<tr>Grades</tr>
How is possible to know when I would reach the end of the
student loop for an advisor and then loop the grades for the same
advisor before proceeding to another advisor?

The group attribute of cfoutput would be a lot more
efficient. Useage is described in the cfml reference manual. If you
don't have one, the internet does.
It would also be more efficient to get all your data with a
single query.
