Using iTunes on different mp3 player

I have a Dell DJ, which I like, and which uses mp3 format. I want to use the iTunes store for downloads, but can't figure out how to download as or convert them into mp3. If there's no way to do it, I can't use iTunes. Any advice?
Thanks

Since you are allowed to burn these tracks from the iTunes store to an audio cd, why not do that?
That audio CD can be used in the same way that you use any other purchased CD.

  • Using a non-iPod MP3 player with iTunes??

i have some other brand MP3 player (not iPod). how do i make it show up in my iTunes so i can drag and drop songs into this MP3 player? or can i not? it just shows up like a hard drive on my desktop now.thanks.

Sorry, but you probably can't. Other than an iPod, iTunes has only ever supported a handful of other players, and I believe all of them have been discontinued. So unless your player's manufacturer offers an iTunes plugin, you'll probably have to use your player's software (or whatever method it uses to load tracks).

  • How can I export songs from my ITunes library to a different MP3 player?

I need to copy some songs (or a playlist) from my ITunes library to a non-IPod MP3 player.

  • Can I transfer my itunes to a MP3 player?  newbie, help please

Hi, I need your help. I have a HP Media Center PC with all bells and whistles. I just learned about itunes. I downloaded a free song. I have also gotten 5 songs for free from a website called Connect (run by Sony).
what I was expecting to do was to go to Radio shack and purchase an MP3 player for $59.99. It's about all I can afford.
then I found out that the songs I downloaded from Connect cannot be transferred to an mp3 player unless it is a Sony MP3 player. The mp3 player in Radio Shack was not a Sony. but I did ask the salesman if I could do itunes with this and he said "sure". but I'm not sure now. I have read about all kinds of formats with downloading these songs. such as OPENMG format and something called ATRAC. See where I'm getting confused?
What I need to know is this: If I purchase songs from itunes and it goes on my hard drive, can I then purchase the mp3 player and transfer the songs so I can go for a walk and play my mp3 player. I can't afford an ipod.
Do I have to buy a special mp3 player to be able to use itunes. I can't find any information on this on the site.
I am a disabled person and could use some help.
thanks to anybody who can help me. Just need to know exactly what I should be buying to play songs on and do I have to download the songs in a special way or does itunes just do it for me. Also, I don't have an apple computer. but I have an APPLE user ID. Very confusing.

Okay, let me see if I have this right.
I have a HP Pavillion Media Center. this should allow me to burn cds, right? I have never done this in my life but believe me I learn fast. I have two drives that I'm looking at right now on my tower.
The top drive says LightScribe DVD+-/CD Writer
The other drive says CD rom.
I presume, to burn a cd (or whatever it's called), I use the top Lightscribe thing, right?
so I guess I have to get a blank cd rewritable thing, place it in the top drive and copy the sonic stage (sony) songs onto that right? then I can get the ipod and transfer from the newly burned cd into the ipod, right?
I have absolutely no idea how to accomplish this but I'm willing to at least do the first step and burn the cd.
Now, here's my question. Many years ago, when I had my other HP pavillion,it came with a re-writable drive. I tried to burn something to it and I did not know what I was doing. I do remember that the cd was some kind of RW thing.
I probably have one of those in my house. They are over 5 years old. Is this what I have to use to put the songs on it.
do I have to go to the computer store and buy a new blank cd-rw (if that is indeed what I will be using).
I want to know exactly what kind of blank cd thing I have to put in the drive. And do I use the one marked Lightscribe.
See, once I know what to do, I'll figure out how to do it.
I'm going to search my room to find one of the old blank ones but I won't use it until you say, "yes, use it.".
I know I used to have a case of them. Never used them but they are still around.
Are they still compatible with my windows xp, HP Pavillion media center.
And I should tell you what I tried to do last night. I was researching all about converting files and I saw something that said "drag the files into your itunes folder and you should have the songs in their". so stupid me, I go to my start menu, open up the explore thing, I find the "sonic stage" thing, I see the itunes thing, I dragged and sonic stage into the itunes thing and sure enough, right in front of me a little message popped up showing me it was "copying files to itunes". So I said "holy sh*t, I actually did it", "i'm going to see my songs in my itunes folder". Well, that didn't happen. I opened up my itunes library and only my original itunes song was there. No songs from the sonic stage library was put in.
I have no idea what was copied into what. So what exactly did I do?
thanks for any help about the cd burning thing.
I mean, I have this HP Pavillion Media Center and I want to be able to figure out how to use it before I turn 80.
    Thanks much.

  • Responding to answer on moving an iTune to my MP3 player

How do I respond to the answer I received from roaminggnome? My question was regarding moving an iTune to my Sanza MP3 player. He said that the iTunes program only syncs with Apple devices. Article HT2698 from Apple said that you can convert iTunes Plus music purchases to  MP3 format which I did using the instructions in the article but it won't drag.. He also said to see the MP3 directions with my player to learn how to put music on it. I have been putting music on it for quite some time but had never tried iTunes. I just received a free iTunes gift card with an OfficeMax purchase. Thanks-Merv

  • ITunes + Non-Apple MP3 player?

Is there any way to sync a non-apple MP3 player with iTunes?

I use a freeware app called SyncTunes with my Walkman mobile phone. The app works with any MP3 player that mounts as a USB drive - and works extremely well at that, IMO.
Which makes me believe that Apple should work on opening up iTunes to non-iPod USB-based MP3 players. More and more devices - from SanDisk, from mobile phone manufacturers, and now in portable GPS units like the Garmin Nuvi 360 - incorporate this capability. (Personally, this means the iPod's days are numbered...)

  • Using N96 as a MP3 Player.

Hi, I have a N96 that i would like to use via my car stereo as a MP3 player, the car has a USB port that i can connect the Phone to via the cable that came with the phone,is this possible? any ideas?

Check your car stereo's user guide for USB media as how it wants the folders/directories and files laid out.
Once your files are structured so that the car stereo can handle it, and you have the files in a suitable audio format (it might not be able to play MP3s at all bitrates, for example), then connecting the phone in USB mass storage (data transfer) mode should be enough.
Note also that the car stereo might be expecting to see only one drive, so if you have also a memory card inside the phone, I don't know what happens in that case as then you'd see two (the internal mass memory as well as the memory card). Check your car stereo docs for that, too, or just try with and without a memory card.

  • Downloading iTunes to a mp3 player on a phone...

I have recently been upgraded to the LG Prada phone, and I was wondering if it's possible to download your iTunes to play on the mp3 player, and if so, how you do it? I've established the bluetooth connection between the two, but am completely oblivious on how to do the next bit! Help would be really appreciated!

Standard iTunes Store downloads with DRM (Digital Right Management) copy protection are only compatible with the iPod/iPhone range, you can't transfer or convert them to play on any other devices.

  • How can I put music from Itunes on my MP3 player?

The format that downloads from Itunes is not working when I try to add music to my MP3 Player instead of my Ipod. Is there a way to add music to an MP3 Player?
I am assuming the format that downloads to ITunes isn't compatable. Any way to change this? Thanks!!!

I have this question as well, I would like to transfer my music from itunes to an SD card so I can listen to it in my new car.   Can anyone help?

  • ITouch Seen by iTunes as a MP3 Player but seen by Windows 7 x64 as Camera

when I connect my iTouch to both my Laptop and Desktop iTunes Pops up as saying its a MP3 Player does a back up of my Apps. When i go to take music off of it thru My Computer it is shown as a Digital Camera.

I'm guessing that the OP has the problem described by many other posters in this thread; http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1141495&start=0&tstart=0
I have this problem too. I've tried removing all Apple apps and updating to latest versions, but that didn't help. I've tried updating the device driver (as suggested by Yorkwill), but it didn't find a new driver in the folder where the usbaapl.sys is located. The current drivers on the Apple Ipod digital camera device are wpbusb.sys and WUDFRd.sys.
Any other suggestings for fixing this very annoying problem would be most welcome.

  • Can i sync itunes with an mp3 player

    You don't.
You would need to read the directions that came with the player to learn how to put music on it.

  • Trouble using itunes on different computers at home

How can I get all my music from one computer on to another. Any time I try to sync my ipod it wants to wipe wants currently on my file.

Make sure that both computers are connected to the same network. Launch iTunes on both computers.
From the Advanced menu turn on Home Sharing using the same Apple ID on both computers.
At the computer that you want to move your music too select the shared library of the computer that currently holds the music. You will find the remote computer listed on the sidebar under the heading Shared. This should load the list of music from the remote computer. Select all the tracks from the remote computer and then click on the Import button in the bottom-right corner of the iTunes window.
