Hi Dorhyz,
Please try to use suffix 1 in port number. like if your server port number is 50000 then 50001.

  • Error trying to use load-externs in a module project

    Hi:
    I am trying to implement modules in my application. I have
    read the documentation and learned that if i want to reduce the
    size of my modules i have to use the link-report and load-externs
    compiler options (the first in the main project and the second in
    the modules)
    This is the line that i use in the "Additional compiler
    arguments" section of the the main project:
    -locale en_US -use-network=true -optimize=true
    -link-report=C:\report.xml
    The file is created in the specified location but......
    when i try to use report.xml in the load-externs argument of
    the module project i get the next error:
    "could not open 'C:\report.xml' while processing
    configuration variable 'load-externs'
    The line tha i use is this:
    -locale en_US -use-network=true -optimize=true
    -load-externs=C:\report.xml
    I am using Flex Builder 2.01
    I'll appreciate your help

    Hi
    This answer is 3 1/2 years too late, but someone else might find it helpful.
    Saw your question and was looking for the same answer. Eventually translated this spanish site to english.
    Solution: you need to copy the linkReport.xml to the root folder of your module project i.e. the same directory as
    your [ModuleName].mxml file.
    Good luck

  • Compile a project that uses Spark modules (SDK 4.5) with FB4.1?

    Is it possible to compile a project that uses Spark modules with Flash Builder 4.1?
    I've added SDK 4.5 to FB and selected it in the project properties (no problems here).
    But how about the 'Flex modules' tab in the project properties window, will it be able to add Spark modules to the application?

    Yes, you will be able to use s:Module with FB 4. You'll have to do a new MXML component, then go to Flex Modules and click on the add button. (The new module wizard there won't support the spark module)
    However, please note that this is unsupported in the sense that we haven't tried that out at our end. (But I personally have and it works )

  • Applet using NetBeans 3.6

    I have just started using NetBeans 3.6, and I'm new to applets. I have a sample applet which runs OK with all browsers when I use the .class file already supplied by the creator of the applet.
    However, after compiling within NetBeans 3.6 (J2SE 1.4), it runs only when using the AppletViewer within the NetBeans. It does not execute when I shift the browser to Internet Explorer within NetBeans, or when I try to do it through a HTML file outside NetBeans.
    I noticed that this behaviour starts after creating the .class file with NetBeans. If I create the .class file using the javac compiler in a Solaris computer I have access to, it executes both in the Solaris machine (Netscape browser) and in a PC.
    Does anybody have an idea of what is going on? Thanks.

    In the package (folder) which the applet Java exists there is an HTML of the same name. This is used by the AppletViewer to define parameters and settings for the applet when it's loaded. Try viewing the applet using that HTML page.
    Right mouse click on your applet Java file and make sure your properties in NetBeans for the debug is set to Applet Debugging. By defailt NetBeans will assume a Java file is not an applet and will try to debug it as a java application.
    However, after compiling within NetBeans 3.6 (J2SE
    1.4), it runs only when using the AppletViewer within
    the NetBeans. It does not execute when I shift the
    browser to Internet Explorer within NetBeans, or when
    I try to do it through a HTML file outside NetBeans.You can enable the displaying of the Java console for the Explorer Java plug-in. This will allow you to see any exceptions happening which might be causing your problem. If no exceptions are happening, then it's likely the class path in the packages don't match where your running it from.
    I noticed that this behaviour starts after creating
    the .class file with NetBeans. If I create the .class
    file using the javac compiler in a Solaris computer I
    have access to, it executes both in the Solaris
    machine (Netscape browser) and in a PC.Try building a JAR file, and running your applet from the jar in Explorer. Running from classes can cause problems if the folders they exist in don't map out the same as the packages.

    thanks;

    UnsatisfiedLinkError is a native library error, not classpath error, not to mention it's very common when starting to work with SWT. I've never tried SWT with NetBeans, in fact I don't use NetBeans much at all, I use Eclipse, personal preference, I've tried NetBeans but I'm just more comfortable with Eclipse. Anyway, to get this to work you need to add this argument to the launch configuration:
    -Djava.library.path=*path to the SWT dlls*
    There should be 3 of them and you just have to put the path to that directory, not each individual DLL.
    Being unfamiliar with NetBeans I can't tell you exactly how to do this, but I assume there is some sort of launch dialog where you can specify JVM arguments. Hopefully this helps.

  • JNDI problem using netbean

    i followed the documents in sun to use JNDI for database connection but i got an expection:
    Exception in thread "main" javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name in environment or system property, or as an applet parameter, or in an application resource file: java.naming.factory.initial
    how can i solve it?
    thank you very much
    i followed http://www.netbeans.org/kb/50/using-netbeans/dbconn.html#pgfId-1156774 and also the procedures from the "help" in netbean:
    Accessing a Connection Pool from a Java Class
    Applications that are deployed to servers often need to access databases that reside on remote machines. You therefore have to set up a JDBC connection pool the server that points to the database. You then create a data source that connects to the connection pool and use the data source's JNDI name to acquire a connection to the database.
    To access a database from an enterprise application:
    1. (Optional) Create a service locator class to handle getting the reference to the database.
    2. Open the Java file from which you want to access the database. In the Source Editor, right-click the file and choose Enterprise Resources > Use Database.
    3. Enter a JNDI name for the database connection. This name must be the same as the JNDI name of the JDBC data source for the database on the target server.
    If you are deploying to the Sun Java System Application Server, you can also generate a connection pool and data source for the database connection by selecting the Create Server Resources checkbox. The resources are created under the project's Server Resources node.
    4. Select the database to which you want to connect in the Connection drop-down list. If the database is not listed, do the following:
    i) If the JDBC driver for the database server is not registered in the IDE, click Add Driver.
    ii) Click Add Connection to connect to the database.
    5. Under Service Locator Strategy, specify whether to generate inline lookup code or use an existing service locator. You can click the Browse to search for the service locator class name.
    6. Click OK.
    The Use Database command is only available in EJB module and web application projects.

    Exception in thread "main"
    javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to
    specify class name in environment or system property,
    or as an applet parameter, or in an application
    resource file: java.naming.factory.initialYou need to pass the environment properties to the InitialContext constructor specifying the java.naming.factory.initial property and also the host name, I think. I read in your post that you are using Sun application server. The preferred method for lookup with Sun's server is Corba. So you need to set the org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost and org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort and have the appserver-rt.jar in the classpath.

    This problem gets solved if you do NOT provide the Java path to the installer.
    e.g.
    if you have Java in /usr//bin/java
    make sure your PATH does not have /usr/bin....
    so basically which java throw error....Then provide the JRE PATH in oraparam.ini for the installer to start ...
    Give it a try...

  • Netbeans module for JAWS doesn't know security section in JNLP file

    Hello guys,
    i'm making a program that is launched by Java Web Start.
    I'm using the Netbeans IDE.
    And I'm using the Java Web Start module for Netbeans (0.8.2.4.2.4), which provides me some handy menu shortcuts for starting Tomcat etcetra. The module also provides a GUI form for making the JNLP file, and if you make changes by hand, these changes are reflected in that form.
    Now, when I add this to the JNLP:<security>
      <all-permissions/>
    </security>the module warns: "Could not parse the document" and it regenerates the JNLP file from the data in the form. So the "security" section disappears. In the form, there is no place to let the module include the "security" section.
    Anyone encountered the same problem? Some workarounds?
    Anyone having success using the Netbeans module for Java Web Start and a "security" section?
    Of course I can build and then change the JNLP afterwards but that's not handy.

    Andrew thank you for your time...
    I think that page only shows a design that is not yet implemented, at least not in Netbeans 5.5 which currently is the latest release.
    Currently the JAWS options are not in the "Project Properties" dialog. They're in some visual JNLP editor, and there is a menu for enabling, running, debugging and deploying the project with JAWS.
    It seems like the only thing to do is wait for Netbeans having better JAWS support. In the meantime, work around the shortcomings of the module or don't use the module.

  • How do you create beans using NetBeans 5.5?

    I am referring to http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/javabeans/nb/index.html and I'm sorry but I can't follow any of this!
    I have NetBeans IDE 5.5 and I am trying to learn how to write beans using NetBeans, and the lessons involve things I can't find or understand, for example:
    re: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/javabeans/writingbean/index.html
    <blockquote>
    Load the JAR file. Use the NetBeans IDE GUI Builder to load the jar file as follows:
    1. Start NetBeans.
    2. From the File menu select "New Project" to create a new application for your bean. You can use "Open Project" to add your bean to an existing application.
    3. Create a new application using the New Project Wizard.
    4. Select a newly created project in the List of Projects, expand the Source Packages node, and select the Default Package element.
    5. Click the right mouse button and select New|JFrameForm from the pop-up menu.
    6. Select the newly created Form node in the Project Tree. A blank form opens in the GUI Builder view of an Editor tab.
    7. Open the Palette Manager for Swing/AWT components by selecting Palette Manager in the Tools menu.
    8. In the Palette Manager window select the beans components in the Palette tree and press the "Add from JAR" button.
    9. Specify a location for your SimpleBean JAR file and follow the Add from JAR Wizard instructions.
    10. Select the Palette and Properties options from the Windows menu.
    11. Expand the beans group in the Palette window. The SimpleBean object appears. Drag the SimpleBean object to the GUI Builder panel.

    Sorry, you lost me literally after "Start NetBeans", the rest is Hungarian. I can't find "New Project Wizard"; I can't find "List of Projects", I can't find anything they are talking about nor do I know if any of this is relevant toward my learning how to write beans.
    Re: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/javabeans/properties/properties.html
    "Inspecting Properties" seems impossible to do because the Inspector Window only shows a closed folder and nothing else ever. I can't figure out this part of the tutorial either.
    Can someone please explain this 3rd-grade-level to me: How to create a bean using NetBeans?
    Thanx
    Phil

    Phil,
    Before you embark on another very frustrating advanture using NetBeans, please go t hrough the NetBeans tutorial. The "New Project Wizard" is just select from the menu options -- "New Project". The "Hungarian" as you put it will not get better until you spend some time learning NetBeans. Learning something new, like beans, is frustrating enough, but to try to do it and use a tool that is not familiar may be beyond many individuals frustration level.

  • Converting existing ejb module project into DC

    Hi,
    1. I have created a local Ejb Module Project
    2. Also a web service is created using that ejb(stateless) && deployed on the server.
    3. I want to convert this local ejb module project into DC
    4. I have copied everything from local ejb module project(eg.ejb,classes,virtual Interface & web service dif etc) & pasted in the DC structure.
    5. While creating web service, it shows me a deployment error, regarding web service name (which is already exists).
    6. I can create web service with different name & it works fine,
    but I don't want to use different name for web service.
    7. Is it possible to again create web service with the same name?
    8. Or is there another way for doing this?
    Best regards,

    Have you tried to undeploy the old project? This should work out.

  • JSP does not have visibility of java classes in simple Web Module Project

    Dear Experts
    I am developing what I thought would be a very simple Web Module Project for a simple webservice
    to allow a user to logon to Netweaver Portal with a simple logon and password.
    I have not done this in over 8 years, and am somewhat rusty.
    The webservice is package in  a .war and is deployed via an Enterprise Application project as a .ear.
    The issue I am having is that I want to enhance the presentation of the webservice through the
    provision of css and adding a couple of images. The "libraries" are visibile in the build path of web
    module project.
    At the top of my .jsp for logon form I want to import some java libraries in order
    to get String webpath = componentRequest.getWebResourcePath()"/":
    <%@ page session = "true"%>
    <%@ page import = "com.sapportals.portal.prt.resource.IResource" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.sapmimp.logon.SAPMLogonLogic" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.sapmimp.logon.SAPMLogonCertLogic" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.logonadmin.IAccessToLogic" %>
    <%@ page import="com.sap.security.core.logonadmin.ComponentAccessToLogic" %>
    <%  IAccessToLogic proxy = new ComponentAccessToLogic (componentRequest, aResponse, IAccessToLogic.ENV_LOGONCOMPONENT);
    final boolean inPortal = true;
    String webpath = componentRequest.getWebResourcePath()"/";
    // todo: find layout schema...
    aResponse.addResource(componentRequest.getResource(IResource.CSS, "css/main2.css"));

    However, during runtime the libraries are unknown and I get the following SAPJ2 EE errors

    What am I missing?
    Many thanks for any advice offered

    Have you made runtime references to used libraries...?

  • Deploying Crystal Reports runtime using merge module failed

    Hi,
    I am having a problem when deploying Crystal Reports using merge module runtime, included into MS Visual Studio web setup project, when installing my *.msi with CR runtime on a completely clean PC (with only MS Windows installed). Error: Failed to register one of the Crystal Reportsu2019 *.dll because it could not find Microsoft visual C++ runtime (msvcr71.dll was not in Windows\System32 folder)
    I am using Crystal Reports runtime merge modules, which I downloaded from here: https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm
    I tried both cr120_mm.zip (Crystal Reports 2008) and cr121_mm.zip (Crystal Reports 2008 SP1)
    cr120 could not find msvcr71.dll, cr121 could not find msvcp80.dll.
    Steps to reproduce:
    -          In MS Visual Studio 2008 create a new empty Web Setup Project.
    -          Add Crystal Reports merge module CRRuntime_12_0.msm or CRRuntime_12_1.msm
    -          Build *.msi
    -          Try to install this *.msi on a completely clean PC. I tried it on Windows Server 2003 R2 SP3, which did not have msvcr71.dll or msvcp80.dll files in C:\Windows\System32 or in any other PATH folders.
    -          During installation there is an error u2013 failed to register one of the Crystal Reportsu2019 *.dll
    I am looking forward to hear from you.
    Thank you.

  • Using ms project 2007 and vba macro to list all the custom fields used in the project?

    Hi,Using ms project 2007 vba macro, I would like to be able to list all the custom fields used in the project and their corresponding field names. e.g. let us say I create a calculated duration field and name it "expected duration" and the name
    of the field I select is Duration1.
    I am trying to write a macro that will list all the used custom fields such as the result would look like:
    Duration1 ---> "expected duration"
    Text1       ---> "anything"
    Flag1        ---> "....."
    Number1  ---> "..............."
    Can anyone provide me with the solution?
    Regards,
    Chuck

    John,
    I found this module, which provides the the list of custom fields used in the project but does not provide the name given to the field. Here below is the module and hope you could help me achieve this by modifying the macro to list the renamed field.
    ' MSP Checks all Custom Task Fields
    Sub checkfields2()
    'This macro will check and report out which custom task fields are used
    'It requires Project 2002 and above as it relies on the GetField
    'and FieldNameToFieldConstant methods which were not introduced until
    '2002.
    'It does not include resource fields, however it is a simple matter to
    'do it by replacing the pjTask constant with pjResource.

    End If

    MsgBox usedfields
    End Sub
    This is what the module gives me. But I would like to have beside Text 1 the name that is shown as below. e.g Text1 is "Test".
    Would you mind helping me achieve this?
    Thanks in advance.
