Using of Oracle Text functions not working in JDev

Hi,
I'm confused about using Oracle Text functions in JDeveloper.
It's not possible for me to pass the sql syntax test while creating a view object with a custom query:
SELECT score (1) myScore,
dokumente.titel,
ctx_doc.snippet ('idx_dokumente_titel',
TO_CHAR (dokumente.dkt_id),
'searchstring'
) snippet
FROM dokumente
WHERE contains (titel, 'searchstring', 1) > 0;
I retrieve "ORA-00911: invalid character" for the contains-function.
(Using this statement in sql-worksheet works.)
Any ideas?

Yes you need code abap to maintein your data. look at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/2f/696d360856e808e10000009b38f839/frameset.htm">Business Data Toolset</a>, in the part of Dialog.

Oracle text search not working for WSDL files

I have a table (resources) with blob data type column (xml_data) and I've created context type index on that column. I've XSD and WSDL files stored in that blob column.
I can search XSD and XML files with a query with contains operator. But any search on the words from wsdl file returns zero results.I am not able to perform search on wsdl file.
Please advise me whether oracle text can work for WSDL files also ?

Even though it isn't listed specifically, I can't see why it wouldn't work. The WSDL file should be a simple XML file, so in theory it shouldn't be any different to Oracle Text than the XML file that you loaded and searched successfully. Did you get any errors during indexing, and what do your tokens look like in the DR$MYINDEX$I.TOKEN_TEXT column?
Do you have a mini test case that didn't work for you? Perhaps we could play with it a bit.
Long term you might want to consider using section groups so that you can search "within" tags.

Siri and Voice to Text function not working

I have done every suggestion that has been listed on every website and from the Siri troubleshooting document. Nothing has worked so far. When I look at what has access to my microphone it doesn't list Siri and I cannot find where I can give it access. Siri and the Voice to Text function worked fine before the iOS7 update. I've made sure that Siri function is turned on, I've made sure there weren't any restrictions, I've turned the phone completely off, then I did the reset (on/off button and home button), I even went as far as doing a restore to the factory setting and then did the backup and it still does not work. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!! As much as we pay for these phones we shouldn't be having this many problems after doing the updates that Apple makes to FIX functionality. Updates are supposed to enhance our phones, not mess them up.

I fixed mine! Go in and reset settings in general settings at bottom. It's the top reset. After complete go turn on Siri, location, and find my iPhone. Let me know if it works for you

Search/ find Text function not working in Adobe Reader

I am having problem with text search in Adobe reader latest version 9.3.
One pdf file generated through a pdf printer inside a word processing program and has around 100 pages. So there is no issue of having a scanned document which is not searchable.
In this document, when I try to search the text inside the pdf file using Adobe Reader 9.0, it is working alright and it is recognising the text searched for.
However, When the same pdf file is searched using Adobe Reader 9.3 and 9.4 etc it is not searching the text which is present at more than five places in the document.
Please advise.

Scanned PDFs that have not had OCR performed will just contain an image of text, so they cannot be searched. Other files may have messed up fonts. Without looking at eachc particular document, it's hard to say what's wrong.

For some prerecorded audio files the Transpose slider will not work reliably. I found no clear pattern, when it does and when not.
If all fails, create a loop from the audio file. Select the region in the track and use the command "File: Add region to Loop library".
Set the current key and tempo, name the loop, and save the loop.
Now add it from the loop browser to a new track and delete your old track. The search field in the Loop browser will help you to find the loop quickly.
You will be able to transpose the sample as described above, like a regular loop.
For example - a audio file turned into a loop and transposed:

and When I slice with the parent level , it has to give all the members below that parent level.

I don't think Children count function not working in case statement, I have tested it on my local environment, here s the sample query for you reference.

In your scenario, the issue might be caused by the query isself, you can try to use IsLeaf Funcion to achieve your requirement. Please refer to the links below.

TouchUp Text Tool not working?

I have Max OS X 10.4, Acrobat 8.1.2 and cannot get the TouchUp Text Tool to work? Can select text and delete/copy/paste etc but cannot add/change/modify any text from the keyboard? All keyboard text keys not working or changing data?
Was using Acrobat 7 and it worked great, however this version is just not cooperating.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I talked to a very helpful person at Adobe Acrobat Tech support yesterday (Tony) and I *think* I have the problem resolved. [BTW, I don't see any definite mentions to this here: during this problem I was able to delete (using either of the delete keys) text and I was able to hit 'return' to get to a new line - while using the touch-up text tool. Also, I was able to create a new blank document and type in next fine too.]
After troubleshooting all the possible causes with Tech support (including manually trashing all the /user/library/preferences/acrobat (folder) and all the com.adobe.acrobat ..(8) preferences in the /user/library/preferences folder - and after reinstalling Acrobat 8 - the issue still wasn't fixed. I called back Tech Support and got the same person (Tony) and with him still on phone, I created a new user on my Mac -- recreated the text touch-up tool problem and Acrobat 8 worked just like it was supposed to do. -- so ... the problem was in my 'old' user account & probably a font problem.
Tony the Tech transfered me over to a Font Tech at Adobe (who was a rude, nasty s-o-b who barely spent 2 minutes with the problem, but that's IMHO) who told me the only resolution, since in his opinion I had a corrupted User account, was to trash my current User account on my system and start fresh -- no alternative! Since that wasn't acceptable to me, and since the Font Tech could or would not give me a straight answer about transferring fonts from my User/Library/Fonts to the computer (root, not system) /Library/Fonts and working on Acrobat that way .... or fixing any font problems in my current /user/fonts -- ..... I hung up the phone and resolved to track this down myself (with the help that was already given to me by Tony the Acrobat Tech.
The first thing I tried this morning was to see if the Acrobat 8 text touch-up 'bug' was still happening -- and it was.
So I spent the rest of this morning validating fonts and deleting duplicates -- (you know how those nasty duplicate fonts just appear even though you think you have them all removed a month or so ago). I also moved all my Adobe otf fonts over to my /Library/Fonts and deleted those same fonts from my /User/Library/Fonts.
I just fired up Acrobat 8 and tried the text touch-up tool --- and it works fine! No problem at all.
Final answer (at least for me) is --> validate all your fonts. I used Font Book (Mac OS) to do this. Delete any major errors on fonts you can live without. Some of the warnings you get (on the critical errors and caution warning both are confusing: 'name' table warning, for example. I did find an Apple Developer document that explains (to a small degree) what these mean: http://developer.apple.com/textfonts/TTRefMan/index.html
Definitely delete every duplicate font you find. I kept some non-duplicated fonts with minor warnings, but these fonts wouldn't be used in Acrobat anyway.
I don't know if moving the Adobe otf fonts to my root /Library/Fonts helped or not since I didn't do a test of this prior to any validation on my user/font file. It was just one step in my bug fix.

Adobe XI - Hightlight text tool not working

Just downloaded adobe XI and the hightlight text tool not working. How can I get this to work.

I guess you can always use the box tool in drawing markups to draw a box around the text then play with the colors until you get close to what you want.
The only thing I don't like about that (besides it being a PITA) is that it covers the text with color as well where the highlight tool does not.

IDGEN1$ is not only used for indexing, but for more general cases in Oracle. There is bug 7694580, which is solved in 11.2. Simply stated, if the sequence cache size is 20, then you may increase the value to 1000. This is not only applicable for RAC, but for all large systems. So indeed it is allowed to increase the value (as user SYS):
