Using RSCRM_REPORT to store query result into DSO

Hi,
Is there a way to use this transaction in order to store the query result in a DSO? I tried specifying as result table the one of active rows of the DSO but it always create a new table.
Thanks for your reply

I am not familiar with the listed transaction.  However, I know you can use the APD to store the results of a query in a DSO.

  • How to store query results into a table

    I want to store the query results to a table. Is there a way to automatically redirect output to a table without using a PL/SQL script.

    Run the following step only once unless you want to create the tabX everytime
    Create tabX as select x,y,z from tabY;
    Next time when you want to store the new results, run the following statement
    Insert into tabX select x,y,z from tabY;

    Muraly,
    If you are using SQL*Plus 8.1.6 or later, you can also spool output to a file in HTML format, eg
    SET MARKUP HTML ON SPOOL ON PREFORMAT OFF ENTMAP ON
    SPOOL c:\temp\report.html
    SELECT DEPARTMENT_NAME, CITY
    FROM EMP_DETAILS_VIEW
    WHERE SALARY>12000;
    SPOOL OFF
    SET MARKUP HTML ENTMAP OFF
    In iSQL*Plus 9.0.1 (the browser-based interface to SQL*Plus) onwards, you can also send the HTML output to a new web browser window, or an html file -- much easier than the command line method.

  • Is there a way to combine their query results into a single function

    say I have a bunch of functions that return a query:
    <cffunction name="getDeals" access="remote"
    returntype="query">
    <cffunction name="getDeals2" access="remote"
    returntype="query">
    is there a way to combine their query results into a single
    function that returns a struct of the various results?

    Umm, it's probably more suited to an array - effectively
    making it into a list of queries. You'd then loop the array and
    output each.
    I use a similar approach when creating system messages to the
    user. Most of my functions that are called do their bit, then at
    the end call another function I call "messages". This function
    grabs whatever my function sends and appends it to a messages
    array.
    This way enables me to output a long list of messages -
    because I could be calling several functions at the same time. If I
    just output a message from each function, each one would overwrite
    the other. So I'd get one message at a time.
    Immediately after it's output, I then destroy the message
    array so that old messages aren't kept inside of it.

  • Http 404 error exporting query result into Excel.

    Hello. I'm getting an Http 404 The webpage cannot be found" error when trying to export any APEX application's query results into Excel (Application Express 3.2.1.00.10). This was working fine before. Nothing changed with our APEX application. I've been always using I.E. Version 7.0.5730.11 with no problems. I've reset the I.E. defaults and still the problem exists. I've downloaded Mozilla Firefox and the problem does not happen. However, I would like to know why my I.E. still gets this error? Any feedback or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

    My EI settings are as follows:

    All Three: Internet, Local Intrarnet, and Trusted Sites ... at Custom Level have the following settings:

    Problem still exists.

    1. SELECT INTO
    Below method will create table when data is inserted from one table to another table. Its useful when you need exactly same datatype as source table.
    Use AdventureWorks2008R2;
    Go
    ---Insert data using SELECT INTO
    SELECT AddressLine1, City
    INTO BothellAddresses
    FROM Person.Address
    where City = 'Bothell';
    GO
    ---VERIFY DATA
    Select AddressLine1, City
    FROM BothellAddresses
    ---DROP TABLE
    DROP TABLE BothellAddresses
    GO
    2. INSERT INTO SELECT
    Below method will need table to be created prior to inserting data. Its really useful when table is already created and you want insert data from
    another table.
    Use AdventureWorks2008R2;
    Go
    ---Create Table
    CREATE TABLE BothellAddresses (AddressLine1 NVARCHAR(60), City NVARCHAR(30))
    ---Insert into above table using SELECT
    INSERT INTO BothellAddresses(AddressLine1, City)
    SELECT AddressLine1, City
    FROM Person.Address
    where City = 'Bothell';
    ---VERIFY DATA
    Select AddressLine1, City
    FROM BothellAddresses
    ---DROP TABLE
    DROP TABLE BothellAddresses
    GO

  • Export query results into .csv file?

    Hello I have a T-SQL script that gets row counts for a specified date range and then needs to loop (by incrementing +1 day to get the next day's counts) for a large date range.  I'm aiming to output & append each query results day counts
    into a .csv file via a SQL Agent job since this will take quite a while to complete.
    Would using the following as an example template...
    INSERT INTO OPENROWSET('Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0','Text;Database=D:\;HDR=YES;FMT=Delimited','SELECT * FROM [FileName.csv]')
    SELECT Field1, Field2, Field3
    FROM DatabaseName
    ...be the method or something else?
    If this is good to use I've tried running this but get the following error:
    Msg 7357, Level 16, State 2, Line 76
    Cannot process the object "SELECT * FROM [FileName.csv]". The OLE DB provider "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" for linked server "(null)" indicates that either the object has no columns or the current user does not have permissions
    on that object.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Techresearch7777777,
    The error in your post says that the file FileName.csv has to be created with the column names in the first row. Like:
    Field1,Field2,Field3
    Either you can create a schema.ini file under the same folder:
     [FileName.csv]
     Format=CSVDelimited
     ColNameHeader=False
     Col1=Field1 [DataType]
     Col2=Field2 [DataType]
     Col3=Field3 [DataType]
    For the [DataType],you can reference
    Schema.ini File (Text File Driver)
    If you have any question, feel free to let me know.

  • How can I export the query result into access(*.mdb) file?

    Dear all:
    I want to export the query result displayed in jsp into excel file
    and access file. And I have exported the result into excel format successfully, only one line should be added in the head of Jsp:
    <%@ page contentType="application/vnd.ms-excel; charset=gb2312" %>
    But how can I export it in access(*.mdb) file? I have replaced "excel"
    with "access". But it can't achive my goal.
    What should I do to achieve my goal?
    Thanks!

    The only reason your Excel export works is that Excel knows how to interpret comma separated values as an input file format. Access has no such beast.
    If you absolutely must provide info in an mdb, one solution would be to create an ODBC datasource pointing to an empty mdb, then push data into it using the jdbc:odbc bridge, then make a copy of the file and stream it down to the browser. You may run into some ugly file locking items here - set the ODBC connection so it is not shared, and that might help.
    This one is going to be ugly.
    I suppose another approach would be to write a simple VB applicatin that uses automation to create an MDB, then stream that file down to the browser from your servlet. That would almost certainly be faster than the ODBC approach.

  • Transferring multi-column query result into MS Excel

    Hello everybody!
    An ultimate novice in Oracle, with some database concepts, is here.
    The very first challenge; which I encoutered is that I want to transfer a Select query result, with multiple columns, into MS Excel sheet in a way that each field occupies a separate column in the sheet.
    I hope the forum members will show me a simple way to get around the problem.
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Rabi

    what will happen the query returns too many rows that
    Excel cant hold? I faced this problem and divided the
    report into "n" numbers based on the number of rows
    returned. Is there any internal logic for it in
    oracle?Excel is capable of holding 65536 rows of data on a sheet.
    Oracle is capable of writing data out to files.
    Oracle does not know or care whether the file it is writing is for Excel or any other product, as the file you are likely to be writing is CSV (comma seperate format) which is an open format, not specifically for Excel. If you need to limit the number of rows per CSV file then you will have to code this "business logic" into your code that produces the CSV file from Oracle.

  • Use var of sql:query tag into a jsp fragment code

    Hi, i'm spanish and my english is not very good XD.
    I need to use some data from <sql:query> tag into code jsp <% %>
    EXAMPLE:
    <sql:query var="variable">
    </sql:query>
    <% what can i do to access to "variable" here????????? %>
    i need to save in session (session.setAttribute(...)) a field of the response of the query saved in "variable"
    i need help!!!!, thanks!!!!!!!!

    i need to save in session (session.setAttribute(...)) a field of the response of the query saved in "variable"Why do you need java code to do this? If you are using JSTL sql tags, then why not keep using JSTL tags?
    <c:set var="valueToSave" value="${variable.field}" scope="session"/>EL variables are actually already stored as attributes in scope.
    So to get hold of "variable" you could use <%= pageContext.findAttribute("variable") %>
    and that would give you the object stored by the EL.
    cheers,

    how

    Hey,
    Just perform an INSERT AS SELECT and don't forget to add APPEND hint. Also, you can do it using parallelism so before that just enable DML parallel for the IAS. Below are the commands:
    SQL> ALTER SESSION ENABLE PARALLEL DML;
    SQL> INSERT /*+ APPEND */ INTO NEW_TABLE (SELECT * FROM TABLE_QUERY);

  • Exporting query results into a csv file using arabic and hebrew chars

    Hi,
    iv'e encountered a problem, using plsql to export a query into a csv file.. the arabic turns into question mark. Do you have any idea why?

    Usually this indicates a mismatch between client and database character set.
    How do you export this query?
    What is your database version?
    What is your client OS?

    FROM
    JFOTST.dbo.OINV T0
    INNER JOIN JFOTST.dbo.INV1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    INNER JOIN JFOTST.dbo.ODLN T2 ON T2.DocNum=T1.BaseRef
    INNER JOIN JFOTST.dbo.DLN1 T3 ON T3.DocEntry=T2.DocEntry
    INNER JOIN JFOTST.dbo.OCRD T4 ON T1.U_NumConc=T4.AddId
    WHERE T0.CardCode=''C52''
    queryout "c:\text1.txt" -c -T -x'
    Note that in this code everytime you need to use the symbol ' you have to doble it like ''Fixed Text''.
    Be aware that there is one UDF so if you try to make this query run in your SB1 you will have to create a UDF called U_NumConc in the document lines.
    Database usage:
    JFOTST.dbo.OINV T0
    JFOTST.dbo - Database Name.
    OINV - Table
    T0  - Alias
    For any doubts I'll be available to help.
