Using RX4 with Premiere on mostly edited project

Hello everyone,
I've been working on a full-length movie for some time, and have done all the audio processing using iZotope Alloy 2. Now the producer has purchased RX4 Advanced so I can take care of some clipped audio as well as clean up some ambience and reverb.
I love the auto leveler and EQ match features of RX4 Advanced and want to apply them to all of the dialog. I guess I'm actually going to ditch all the Alloy 2 work I've done and have at it with RX4. But the dialog is chopped and fragmented, often across several different tracks. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach this in a timely manner? Will the connect plugin allow me to import all the dialog at once for the leveling? Remember the dialog is across several tracks. Will I have to open the original files and treat them in standalone RX4 and then relink them to my project? Is there another option?

Wow, sounds like a pretty advanced high school class!
With regards to your question, the first thing to iron out
is exactly how the logging software can transfer data to your computer, then to
define exactly what you mean by “in realtime”.
There are several possible ways to transfer data from one running
program to another. Some of the more
popular ways are:
1) File IO – server writes data to a file, client reads data
from the same file
2) ActiveX – Microsoft technology that allows
sending/receiving data and automating programs
3) DLLs – half-compiled code allows a program to call code
created from another development environment.
For example, a LabVIEW program can call a DLL built with MSVC++.
3) .NET frameworks – similar to ActiveX in look and feel,
but closer to DLLs in functionality.
4) Transfer protocols – hooks up serially to another device,
GPIB, Ethernet, USB, or something of this sort.
In addition to it just being able to hook up to a computer through these
means, the software you write will need to know how to interface with the
device and software through these means.
Next, what do you mean realtime? I presume you mean that you just want to read
the data from the device continuously and have only a very small delay between
each data transfer.
If you can get information on how you can transfer the
data, and how quickly you want to transfer the data I might be able to help recommend
a way to get the data to LabVIEW.

No subscription found - want to use encore with premiere cc

i have a cc subscription as a student and i want to use encore with premiere cc on a mac. i downloaded the cs6 version of premiere, tried to install but it says it can't find a subscription (even thought i am logged in with my adobe id). I saw on another help doc that i have to obtain encore from cs 6. I already have premiere cc installed and when i go back to the creative cloud apps i don't get the choice to install past versions of premiere. it just gives me the option to uninstall and manage app is greyed out.
Can someone assist. I just want to use encore with premiere cc.

Update: I did try using the instructions at the link which are as follows:
To download and install previous versions of apps, such as CS6, do the following:
Open the CC Desktop application and go to the Apps panel.
Filter the apps by Previous Versions.
Choose a version from the Install menu.
But the only options i had for premiere were uninstall or manage. i didn't see an option for cs 6. I decided to try this link to download premiere cs 6 so I can elect to just install encore and the subscription wasn't recognized. Download CS6 products

Using XVID with Premiere Pro CS3?

I'm trying to export to video using XVID encoder, two pass. I start the first pass, an XVID status window appears, and then it appears to get stuck.
Has anyone here used XVID with Premiere Pro CS3? If so, any suggestions?

Thanks, I'll try the options on XVID. Currently I've been exporting to raw AVI, then using AutoGK. I normally don't do use XVID, but for a partcicular racing game, there are some telephone wires that appear less aliased with XVID mpeg4, than the encoders you get with Premiere. I've tried the mpeg2, mpeg4, and windows encoders, and don't get quite the same results. One of the final destinations is a you tube "hi-def" video. I also make windows movie files since they also can be viewed while streaming via Windows Movie player. My web host throttles throughput to 350kb per second now, so I keep most of my videos at 640x480 at around 1972kbps for the video, 128kbps for the audio. Seeking Help/Advise for Premiere Pro CS3 editing project

Hello everyone,
I am an Absolute newbe here, and to both forums and Adobe in general, so I may be going about this all wrong. If so forgive me, but I have a problem that I would Desperately like some help with.
For about twenty-five years I have been looking for a movie, the problem was hampered somewhat by the fact that it was never released on either VHS or DVD, making it rather hard to find as you might imagine. Now, thanks to the wonder of a (new?) site called youtube, I found DL it piece by piece. I dont mind that it is not DVD quality, in fact, since it was originally a made for tv film, I kind of like it.
The PROBLEM is that for some reason the audio doesnt match up with the video. It is a few seconds before/after (Dont ask me why, I dont Know computers much) and though I have dl/tried every program I can get my hands on, I cant seem to join the pieces together and get the stuff to sync up. Its like watching an old, old Japanese monster movie and watching Those gave me a headache when I was young lol.
Then someone told me that Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 could fix the problem, so I DL it on a trial basis. Thing is, I know nothing about computers and cant even get the movie to load. Let me say I am not especially computer literate, and while I am currently trying to figure out Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 I most likely Wont be keeping it past the 30-day trial. Not that I dont like it (I suppose, so far I have been able to get absolutely no place with it) but rather because I DL it for one reason and, at almost a thousand dollars, it seems an extravagance for a program I will likely never have the need to use again.

With utmost respect to all, could someone either guide me through the process or convert the thing for me? I have tried going the video editing rout, but they wont help me due to a copyright thing (though I grabbed the thing from public youtube). I dont want to publically display, resell, show off or make a dime from the thing, I just want to make it sync up and burn it to dvd to watch on my tv.
Any advise/help would be warmly appreciated. I am posting this in a couple of forums, so like I said, if I am out of line I apologize.

Exactly why I am here. Because I am computer functionally illiterate, I am hoping someone here can either:

B: Be convinced to do it for me. I am willing to deal. :) (I suspect it is the kind of thing that, a person who Knew what they were doing, could do it in about five min.)
For me, who has only used computers for the most Basic things.....
I have tried putting everything onto a CD and taking it to places, but each time I get told that, even though I found the thing on youtube, it is (Was) a real movie released on TV and as such cannot be touched due to copyright. (goofy, if ya ask me. I don't want to sell the thing, just watch it)

Using Filemaker with Adobe Illustrator for Book Project

Hi All,
I have a database of musical works contained inside a Filemaker Pro database - it's a mixture of images and text.
I'd like to make a book with the content and was hoping to use a template within Adobe illustrator and pull the data in dynamically from Filemaker.
Is Illustrator the right tool for this? I can't find many links or articles.
Any advice at all on using Filemaker to generate book content much appreciated.

I don't really want to post screenshots here of a proprietary solution. But here's a description of a similar FMP-based "publishing" solution:
You have a layout for end-users' main browsing. Similar-looking layouts are used for data entry, but include administrative functions, fields, and flags which expedite content creation, but are not meant for end-users. Typical FMP stuff. But now you take it to the next step:
You build a Report Layout specifically sized and formatted for printing and/or exporting to PDF. You use the FMP tools for object sliding; use Container Fields and/or WebViewer objects for illustrations; use the Merge Field function and/or text Calculation Fields to format text content from multiple data fields. You can overlap fields, so having a container field in the background is simple.
You basically ignore the "publish" Layout as you create, edit, and work with data. But it's always there, and is always "already built and populated." Whenever you want to publish a print version catalog for a particular product, you just launch an FMP script which automatically:
Prompts you for the desired set of records (product model, chapter, category, etc.)
Performs the necessary find and sort.
Creates a table of contents. (Based on another print-formatted Report Layout.)
Exports the TOC as a PDF. (Typically a dozen or so pages.)
Exports the content pages as a separate PDF. (Several hundred pages is no problem.)
In a few minutes, you have an updated print-ready book.
You open the Content PDF in Acroat Pro, insert the pages from the TOC PDF in the front of it, and send it to your on-demand printing outsource. The end result is a perfect-bound manual, without ever having jumped through hoops to dump data into a conventinal-wisdom page-layout app.
So this one FMP solution:
Is used for data entry.
Serves as a live internal reference tool served on FMPSA.
Serves as a data export and data analysis tool.
Can be bound as a fully-functional standalone runtime application.
Is web-deliverable via FMPSA's IWP.
Is web-deliverable as a web site's "backend data" via PHP.
Serves as the "publishing platform" for print-ready and/or web-delivered PDF-based catalogs.
Vector drawings are created in Illustrator, Draw, CAD software, or whatever, and saved as vector PDFs in a folder acessible to the FMP database. The PDFs are named according to a record's unique identifier field (primary key).
You launch Acrobat Pro and run a Batch operation which opens the folder full of PDFs and batch-exports them to an adjacent PNGs folder. The PNGs are exported to the correct size for the Container Field(s) on the print Layout. (Optionally, another Container Field on the browsing Layout displays PDF icons which are links to the PDFs for when a user needs a scaleable, zoomable vector version.) During data entry, each time a new record is created or edited, a scripted button imports both the PNG and the PDF with a click; or batch-imports the images for all records at once.
One could just as easily build a layout and script the solution to create and send HTML-formatted emails of a found page or set of pages.
Like an XML / InDesign solution, FMP effectively figures out for you how many pages are needed for the length of the TOC, and the length of the parts list that accompanies each illustration and creates and numbers them; and it does so without any need for mucking around with XML.
So in this workflow, FileMaker Pro itself is serving as the "page layout" app. All that's sacrificed is high-end printing and exacting typography; which for many practical purposes today is becomming increasingly unnecssary.
The underlying concept herein is "FileMaker and PDF"; not "FileMaker and Illustrator." (Use any graphics program you want that can render to common RGB raster formats and/or PDF). And it's "let FileMaker automate the page assembly" instead of XML / InDesign. Just keep the page design within the capabilities of a FileMaker Layout.

Need to use hyperlink with tracking code in Edge project, not working

I have been using test URL's inserted on invisible "hot spot" elements in my edge animate project that have been opening fine in the browser. Now I need to update those URLs with tracking syntax, but when I change it in Edge (replace the URL in the actions panel for that element) and then run the animation in the browser, the link will not open.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Never mind, the URL itself had quotation marks that needed to be removed; once that was done the URL's opened properly.

DVD authoring after editing project with FCP X

FCP X has extremely limited DVD authoring options within it. Can't put more than one short movie on a disc, only two menu templates to choose from, etc. So my question is what do I use to author a DVD after editing projects with FCP X? I know I need to use Compressor to set chapter points, etc., but what do I use to build the DVD menu and burn the DVD? I certainly hope I am not limited to iDVD only, which is not really a pro application, and I gather that DVD Studio Pro is no longer being sold. Amazingly, I asked this question at a One-to-One session at an Apple Store and the guy there suggested Adobe Encore ... I was totally shocked! Does anyone have an answer to all this?

Encore is very good, but you have to buy PPro to get it, you could look on eBay for a copy of DVDSP. It does look like Apple will not be offering a Pro Level DVD authoring package anymore, it's a shame as DVDSP works very well still and they could have just offered it as a standalone.

Merging two projects with Premiere elements 12.

On my computer (windows 7) i have different directories with movie-fragments. From each directory i made a movieproject. It took a long time to trim everything. Now i have one project from 1,5 hours and another from 20 minutes. I would like to put the two projects together and then cut it into two projects. I was suprised that i could not do that. I could not copy the movie with titles in one project and copy it to the other project. Also i could not find any way to import one movie into the other. Very strange. I would think that this is a basic function the program should have.
I found out that i can work of course with the Project Asset and import the moviefragments again, but then i have to trim everything again.
I could also export one movie as for example AVI and then insert it with the Project Asset into the other project. But then i have no possibility to change the titles and transitions.
Does anyone know a way to merge two projects?????

No version of Premiere Elements allows the user to open one project file (project.prel file) in another.
You can copy/paste insert between two project files (project.prel) using ClipMate in conjunction with Premiere Elements. You cannot do a copy/paste insert between projects without ClipMate in use with Premiere Elements. The How To for this Windows Only feature is found

The alternative is to export your project 1 Timeline "trim" selectively to a file saved to the computer hard drive and then import that export into project 2.
In this workflow considerations need to include project 1 export format consistent with project 2 import settings.

Why can't I export my editing with Premiere Pro

In most cases, I feel that this forum will likely give you more good, usable info, than will Adobe T/S. Rather than spend time on hold, unless you really like the music, let us know the details, per that linked article (above - just click on the word ARTICLE there). We can usually beat their time by days, and hours on hold. Also, those folk have one script - "uninstall - reinstall," and it's uttered in some odd dialect. With the necessary info, we are much, much better. We just need some details to go on. Also, other than my Mississippi "dialect," you will not need a translator. The only thing that we lack is "hold music."

Can you use more than one computer to edit the same Premiere Elements Project?

I am using Premiere Elements 10. I have built a new project on my desktop computer because the desktop has a firewire port to capture video from my camcorder and my laptop doesn't have a firewire port. The project is stored on my home network. I seem to be able to do editing fine using the desktop computer that the project was created on, but it won't load up right on the laptop for editing. Premiere Elements is configured the same on both computers. I guess my question is - does Premiere Elements store something on on the computer that the project was created on that is not being stored on the network drive? How can I fix the problem so that I can edit on my laptop? The laptop is a top of the line Dell XPS with an i7 processor that I use for other Premiere projects, so the laptops ability is not an issue.

Yes, having files stored on a HDD, but having the letter change between machines is a problem. The Project file (PREL) is only an XML database, with links to the Assets. Those links are Absolute Paths, so if anything changes, from drive letter, to file name, the link is broken.
I have over a dozen externals, that I use to migrate Projects between my main two computers. Each has had its drive letter set in OS of each computer. I started with Z:\ and worked down. Each drive has a lable on it with the designated drive letter. Unfortunately, I ran out of letters, as the workstation has a ton of HDD's and burners, so I had to start over. That does mean that I cannot have both Z:\ drives plugged in at the same time, but that has never been an issue. I wish that Windows would allow for double drive letters, say ZZ:\, but still, I have a handful of letters to use - just too many externals for those letters...

My GoPro workflow currently is:
- record with GoPro in Protune
- import GoPro MP4 into Premiere and edit
- convert GoPro MP4 to AVI using GoPro Studio (leaving same file name stored in sub-folder)
- 'offline' GoPro Premiere MP4 footage and 'relink' to AVI
- export media out of Premiere
Be careful with AVI files in Premiere as they crash my 2014.2 release 8.2.0(65) build. Solution I see to have AVI not crash Premiere is to turn off GPU Acceleration and use Software only.
After I re-link AVI files in Premiere, I leave my GPU Acceleration on and render out. I do not play the AVI with Premiere to avoid crashing. When I am re-linking the MP4 to the AVI, I am saving the project frequently due to Premiere crashing. I am exporting GoPro AVIs fine with GPU Acceleration on.
Premiere handles GoPro MP4 files fine. I could not tell you anything about Photoshop video editing if that is what you are asking.
