Using Task Flow in the template page

Dear all,
I am beginer and I work with JDev 11.1.1.3.0
In my application I've got a template page called 'templateDef1.jspx'. In this page on the top facet I've got two commands link: 'Asort' and 'Reports'.
I've created a new JSF page called 'main.jspx' which is based on the templateDef1 and in the center facet I dropped an ADF Bounded Task Flow as a Region. This bounded task flow contains two pages ('asort.jsff' and 'report.jsff'). When I run the main.jspx page I can navigate from 'asort' to 'report' page fragment using the button inside the page fragments.
Now I want to navigate to those page fragments using the commands link from 'templateDef1.jspx'. What should I do ?
I've tried several things but nothing works.
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards,
Wojtek.

Thank you a lot for you replies.
Amit, I tried your solution but something doesn't work. I think the parameter isn't passing into the task flow.
In my template page, after I added <af:setActionListener> I got two warnings: Reference "PageFlowScope.Flow" not found.
The ref Center facet is refreshing properly, but it always displays the assort.jsff, because it is marked as default activity in my task flow.
Here is the fragment of code of template page:
<af:commandLink id="clAsort">
                  <af:panelGroupLayout id="pt_pgl2" halign="center"
                                       valign="middle" layout="vertical">

                  </af:panelGroupLayout>
                  <af:setActionListener from="#{'A'}"

I also read ADF Handbook and some blogs to get know how to pass parameters into bounded task flow, but I couldn't solve my problem.

  • Problem with back button when using task flow to navigate through pages

    I am using unbounded task flow to navigate through my pages
    in page2 I added back button so I can back to page1 using the action A2
    task flow 1
    page 1 -----A1-------> page 2
    page2 ----A2--------> page1
    the problem when I used page2 in another task flow
    task flow 2
    page 3 -----A3------> page2
    page 2 -----A4 -----> page3
    here when I click on back button he take me to page1
    how can I back to page3 ???????

    For this you have to know where the user came from when he navigated to page2. You can e.g. store the back target in a variable in the session or pageflow scope (when the user navigates from page1 or page3 to page2), then you bind the back button of page 2 to the stored variable.

  • How to get text flow onto the next page from template "travel journal"?

    When wanting to create a new document, I chose "Travel journal" between "side layouts" in templates. When it opens, you see one page with pictures and example of text.
    When I start to write my text in the text field, it disappears when I get to the end of the page.
    What do I do to have the text move/flow to the next page automatically?

    The "Travel Journal" template is a page layout document & uses text boxes. There is no default flow to another page. You need to insert a new page & then create a linked text box. You can link existing text boxes or create a new text box linked to an existing one. Click the linking triangle then click to create a new box or click an existing box to link to it.

  • Use task flow or simple pages in CRUD?

    Hello,
    using JDeveloper 12c.
    In my case I use task flow to create a simple CRUD, i have two task flow, for it in the first I have a employees table and a button to create a new employee, the button has an action to go to another task flow where I have a Method call of CreateInsert which in turn go a view activity that has a form to create an employee.
    The problem is, when committing task makes a return to the main flow but the table not refreshes with the new employee, every task flow isolated handled transactions.
    I recommend, work the CRUD with task flow or single pages?
    thank you very much in advance.

    thank you very much, I got the exact answer, thank you very much again.

  • ADF task flow return redirect to page?

    Hello, I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0
    I have build a task flow (bounded task flow) in my application and I want to redirect on task flow return, to another page from the application. This page is not part of the flow. From what I am reading till now everything I found is to call another task flow on return, but I do not need this. I just need to redirect to a specific page. Can anyone help on this?
    Thank you

    Thanks but is there no possibility at all to navigate to another page within the aplication (not of the same task flow)? I was thinking something like FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().redirect("Page1") on action method on a button of the page; But I am getting an error saying that can not find the Page1.

  • How can I insert text in Pages so it flows to the next page?

    I try copying a block of text into Pages but it cuts off at the end of the page instead of flowing to the next page. How do I fix this?

    You have probably started with a Layout mode template instead of a Word Processing template. See the sidebar in the Template Chooser for which is which.
    Alternatively you may have pasted an object (possibly from the Internet), not text into a Word Processing template. Click inside the object and copy the text, then delete the object and try pasting again.

  • ADF Task Flow: Using Task Flow Call as Application Entry Point

    In our product we have a task flow structure very similar to the Fusion Order Demo application, but we are having serious trouble reproducing the documented functionality of ADF Task Flows.
    Specifically, we cannot use a task flow call as an entry point for our application, which is very important for us to achieve.
    The [Developer s Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/taskflows.htm#ADFFD1634] states about the [demo application|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/samples/fod/index.html] :
    "A Fusion web application always contains an ADF unbounded task flow, which contains the entry point or points to the application. Figure 14-3 displays the diagram for the unbounded task flow from the Fusion Order Demo Application. This task flow contains the Home, *MyOrders*, *checkout*, registerUser, and updateUserInfo *view activities, which are all entry points to the application*."
    "The checkout-task-flow activity in Figure 14-3 is a call to an ADF bounded task flow."
    When we run the Fusion Demo Application, we are only able to use home, updateUserInfo and register as entry points.
    We cannot enter the application through any of the task flow call activities (MyOrders and checkout) as the documentation suggests.
    What are the reasons for this and how do we fix it, so we can use task flow call activities as application entry points?
    Thanks.

    The forum did not display the link to "Developer's Guide" because the link contained the single quote char '. Single quote char removed.

    Is what you mention here the case in the Fusion Order Demo application?
    If the task flow call activities cannot be used as entry points, why is it stated in the documentation?
    How do we solve this, so that the task flow call activities (including parameter bindings) can be used as entry points, like the documentation suggests?

  • How to customize the Rich Text Editor task flow in the doc lib?

    Dear Experts in WCP forum,
    You know that webcenter portal has a feature is called customizing task flow.. so we have client request to customize the Rich Text Editor task flow of the Document library. Such as disable the Format, Font, Size drop down menu of the richtext editor UI.   But after I open the editHTML.jsff of the oracle.webcenter.doclib. the code is like this:
                        <f:facet name="richtext">
                               <af:panelGroupLayout layout="scroll" id="rtepng2">
                                  <rte:editor id="rte" value="#{pageFlowScope.rte.HTMLTextArea}" converter="#{pageFlowScope.rte.HTMLConverter}"/>
                                  <!-- keep region wrapped in the facet to be stretched-->
                                  <af:region value="#{bindings.linksResourcePicker.regionModel}" id="lpr"/>
                               </af:panelGroupLayout>
                            </f:facet>
    So likes that editor in fact is from <rte:editor tag.. my question is how to dig into this <rte:editor  to find its jsff code?  And change the menu inside to do the cusomization for them?
    Is that possible?
    A million thanks here in advance!

    Which means that if you want to change the toolbar you have to check what is the type of toolbars the CKEditor uses, I can tell you that there are two defaults: Basic and Full and I believe the tag uses a custom toolbar called WC by default.
    So if you want to change the toolbar to only show basic, change the toolbarSet property to Basic to make the final result looks like <rte:editor id="rte" value="#{pageFlowScope.rte.HTMLTextArea}" converter="#{pageFlowScope.rte.HTMLConverter}" toolbarSet="Basic" />
    This is not tested, this is only a few insights I got reading about CKEditor

  • Reusable CRUD toolbar in the template page

    Hi ,

    Re: making reusable toolbar in the template page
    i sent how to make resuable toolbar in template page and it works good with me
    , but i want to make CRUD ( create - update - delete , ...) in the toolbar .
    i implemented the create method ( in the consumed applications ) of the interface to be like this
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("CreateInsert");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    *if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {*
    return null;
    but give me Null Pointer Exception
    how can i make resauble CRUD toolbar in the template page

    In his article http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2012/12-nov/o62adf-1867716.html Frank describes this use case
    >
    One common Oracle ADF Region use case that frequently appears on the Oracle Technology Network Oracle JDeveloper forum is a global toolbar or menu bar within a parent view. The goal is to have the global toolbar perform actions, such as data iteration, create/update/delete operations, or context-sensitive help display, on the view displayed in a separate region.

  • Empty space in first page if data flows to the next page

    Hello All,
    i have some windows after the main window and before the footer, like signature and two more.
    suppose the data in the main window flows to the second page, there is lot of blank space left in the first page as i am printing the signature window only after the main window.
    is it possible to avoid this space so that the first page is full with the main window data.
    Thank you
    Usha

    Hi Usha,
    Whatever i get from from question is like.. when your data in the main window is getting exceed then its flowing to next page.
    And you are printing the singnature window after main window.
    Do one thing take ur main window size as full page i mean whtever u r going to print in the signature window or other window after the main window this windows u define in your main window footer , By doing this what will happen that after your all main window data that your other windows will print and without space.

    In Pages, the column in the table won't flow onto the second page. The text is hidden. Please help!

    Thank you for your reply,
    When I click 'view' , I can "show inspector". From the table tab, I can pull up the "Format". [See below]. I don't see the "Arrange" or "Object Placement Move with Text"
    Right now I have the Wrap Text On. When I take it off, It messes up my rows [see second image].
    All I want is for my column to flow onto the second page.
    Your assistance is genuinely appreciated.
    Thank you again.

  • Using PHP to identify the current page - by David Powers

    Hi There,
    I'm trying to write a script so I can identify the sub-pages under "Gallery" in my website
    Under Gallery I have more than hundred pages describing the photos but I want to identify them as the "Gallery" page.
    How do I achieve that?
    It would be tedious to write the "PHP if" statement for each photo link.
    I trust there is a simpler solution.
    In PHP solutions by David Powers, Ch.4 "Using PHP to identify the current page"
    The script is:
    <?php $currentPage = basename($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME']); ?>
    <ul id="nav">
      <li><a href="index.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'index02.php') {echo 'id="here"';} ?>>Home</a></li>
      <li><a href="journal.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'journal.php') {echo 'id="here"';} ?>>Journal</a></li>
      <li><a href="gallery.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'gallery.php') {echo 'id="here"';} ?>>Gallery</a></li>
      <li><a href="contact.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'contact.php') {echo 'id="here"';} ?>>Contact</a></li>
    </ul>
    Let's say that the gallery pages contains hundreds of links gallery like gallery/photos1.php, gallery/photos2.php, gallery/photos3.php, gallery/photos4.php, gallery/photos5.php, gallery/photos6.php, gallery/photos7.php etc...
    How would I identify the sub-pages so when we are there Gallery is highlighted?
    Thank you!
    Best,

    Hello Siddhardha,
    To get the details of a process you need to use Locator class from BPEL api. You can locate your process by listInstances method which accepts WhereCondition parameter used to build a query on process instances. Once you've found the process you were looking for you can use getAuditTrail method to retrieve audit trail of a given instance. You can also use setStatus() method from a BPELX java exec tag within your process and later retrieve it from instance handle by getStatus method.
    A sample snippet to retrieve instance handles to all child processes of a given process:
    StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
    Locator locator = new Locator(domain,domainpassword);
    WhereCondition wc = new WhereCondition();
    String query = sb.append(SQLDefs.AL_ci_root_id).append(" = ? ").toString();
    wc.append(query);
    wc.setLong(1,parentInstance);
    IInstanceHandle[] ih = locator.listInstances(wc);
    You can read more about querying processes on http://blogs.oracle.com/matt/2006/06/27?print-friendly=true

  • Unable to extract all the currencies using Task Flow

    Hi Everyone,
    I have 60 currencies that I extract using a Task Flow in HFM 11.1.2.1 to a SQL table, I only receive 59 of those currencies FX Rates in the SQL table. The CNY currency does not extract at all.
    I have tried changing the PoV around with no success. I don't think it is the PoV anyway because the other 59 currencies have no problem.
    Any inputs please...
    Regards,
    Vinod

    Sounds like this is using an EA extract process. In your Task Flow, can you extract just that one (CNY) currency? If you do this directly in Extended Analytics, is the output any different from the Task Flow? How about if you extract to a text file rather than SQL?

  • Single adf task flow portlet with multiple pages and paramter from url

    Hi ,
    I have made a adf task flow portlet with a parameter.
    I have made a portal applcation and added multiple pages . in each of the page I am consuming that portlet through wsrp2.
    I have mapped the task flow parameter in page bindings of the pages with #{param.code}. where code is the get parameter.
    I have edited navigatinoal template so that when i click the pages , code parameter also get added in the url.
    issue
    When I run the applcation and visits first page with get parameter i get the right result. but when i click the on the other page which has some other value for the same get parameter , it doesnt display the value. But the other page shows me correct value if I go this page first but the later page doesnt display any value.
    thanks
