Thanks Beth.
Problem with UWL iView path now I corrected it and could see preview of uwl. I have identified few issue on this context -
One is, when I see the preview of sap given standard uwl page (content provided by sap -> end user content -> ....Universal worklist) I could see default view with 5 tabs, where as if I assign eu_role or eu_core_role to user then browse Home -> work -> Universal Worklist then I could see single tab named "Open Items" alone.
We are using sap standard configurations and no customization had done, and more over working on BPM so I have checked uwl.standard.xml & uwl.bpem.xml configuration files with Q system where UWL UI and functinality is working fine.
Here my question is, Is the problem with eu_role & eu_core_role..or how come in run time UI is changing.
Second one is, If I tried to check system connection by click on Display Connection Status at UWL page getting error - Page not found or not available I am not sure where to check this.
I assigned Process viewer as related link to uwl page, If I open that link getting error as No autorization and the same error even to see preview at iView level as well. usr having BPEM End user role.
http://xyz.abcd.com:52100/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fcom.sap.bpem!2fcom.sap.bpem.pages!2fcom.sap.bpem.ProcessListViewer?sap-config-mode=true
Now I have created a cusome role with sap standard UWL page. I have assigned role to user and could see standard UWL now. But still I coulln't test system connection.
Highly appreciated your inputs on this..because project is in crusial stage.
Thanks in advance,
Ian

    Hi All,
    We're on EP 7, sp13. ever since we first installed ep7, we've been seeing errors on all the UWL iViews including the UWL administration iView (under System admin). Upon clicking the iView, i see "Portal Runtime error" and this is true for all users including admin users, i tried previewing the iViews from content admin but still got the same error msg.i retrieved the following from the logs via nwa:
    Content pass of Application Integrator failed.
    Component Name:       com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.WebDynpro,
    Context Name (iView): pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/uwl/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.uwlSapWebDynproLaunch,

    Hi All,

    " Web dynproapplicatie 'UWL' past. Start application again. Launch iView again via "Refresh" in iview vak or knowp browser 'Refresh' "
    Portal cookie is still active, User can navigate to other applications easily, I want to know why this message is appearing and how can we increase the duraction.?
    Cache Value parameters under UWL service are:
    Default Cache Validity Period, in Minutes:5
    Timeout Value for the Connected Systems, in Seconds: * 30
    Regards
    Parth

    Hey Parth,
    check the note recommended by Ladislav i.e. 842635 and also check note 842878.
    I would suggest you to check the backend system parameters about the session timeout related things through RZ10/RZ11.
    The param is "rdisp/gui_auto_logout".
    You can configure the HTTP session timeout using the web.xml descriptor. Session configuration u2013 Session timeout field.
    You can get this file from the following location:
    \usr\sap\<EP_SID>\j2ee\j2ee_01\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\WEB-INF\web.xml
    You have to restart your portal to ttake this effect.
    Hope it helps.

  • Java.lang.Exception:Error in NavigationGroupViewer.createListModel:No NavID

    hello portal experts,
    we made a homogen copy of our productive system to our test system. i think this caused a trouble in our test portal and i get the error java.lang.Exception:Error in NavigationGroupViewer.createListModel:No NavID!. can anybody tell me where the settings are made for the team viewer and how i can fix this problem.
    early replies appreciated..
    thanks,
    Murat Kaya

    Hi Murat,
    there can be a number of things that can give you that particular error message:
    1. Is the teamviewer/explorer configured correctly in the backend? Are all the navigation paths correct?
    2. Has the teamviewver iview been configured with the correct navigation path?
    3. Do your users have the right profiles and security settings in the backend?
    4. Is the communication between the portal and the backend working properly, ie sso, jco?
    Best place to start is to look at the error description in the log in Visual Admin. That might give you an indication of where to start looking.
    Cheers,
    Dion

  • Java Iview Runtime error after logon

    Hello,
    we are facing some problem regarding our EP 7.0 SP13. We have an anonymous page as our home page, with some anonymous ivews, like "help", "news", etc and one iview with authentication set to default where users log into the portal and access to the private section of the portal.
    That ivew does a redirection to /irj/portal and since the user is athenticated it will led him to the private home. The problem is that after logon, a Java iview runtime error appears, and users must refresh the browser to access the private section. (user is logged before the error appears).
    We have checked this is not happening with users with "super admin" o "content admin" role. They are able to log into the portal, and redirection is working fine. So we think there can be some problem with security zones or authentication somewhere in the portal, but since this is the standard logon component i don´t know why is this not working.
    We have checked that the redirection is working, and we have made some tests with different kind of iviews like KM iviews, URL iviews, pictures, etc. Only admin users are able to log in correctly, the others get the java iview runtime error, so we think the problem is with to standard logon...
    Here goes a trace of our problem (defaultrace.trc):

    can anyone help us with this problem?
    Thanks in advance

    The problem was solved, it was a permission problem.
    The anonymous role which allow access to the anonymous section of the portal was assigned to anonymous user, but it hasn´t everyone permission. So anonymous users were able to see anonymous pages, but when they login they lose the role, and java iview error happened, unless they had admin rights.
    Solved assigned by assigning everyone to that role.
    Thanks

  • How to get rid of prefix of UWL iViews

    Hi all,
    In my UWL implementation I wanted to modify a parameter in the uwlSapLaunch iView so that UWL will trigger workitem execution in Windows GUI rather than in HTML GUI. Since I should not touch standard iViews, I copied all the iViews located under Portal Content>Portal Users>Standard Portal Users>Universal Worklist and pasted them (delta link) in my own folder. I also changed the optional UWL config parameter "Path to the UWL iViews" to point to my folder with all the delta link iViews.
    The problem with this was that my delta link iViews still had the prefix com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl, which prevents me from transporting the iViews. So I removed the prefixes of these iViews.
    Now when I try accessing UWL I get an error message that shows clearly that it still tries to get to the iViews with the prefix.
    Anybody faced this before? How to solve it?
    I am on EP 7.00
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Greetings,
    Patrick

    hi Patrick,
    in order to have a backup UWL, you can export it and save to other location.
    and i think in order to have to change the execution from HTML to windows GUI, you just need to create a new i-view which will link to your windows GUI and do some modification in your UWL.
    the modification in your UWL will change the link from the standard / old i-view to your new one.
    hopes it helps, please award points if helps
    regards
    eddhie

  • Returning Back to UWL Iview

    Hi
    I am launching a WebDynpro Application fomr my UWL. After an Action is performed to exit the application, I want to take the user back to the UWL Iview. How do i achieve this ?
    Murali.

    Hi
    I Introduced this code to get back to the UWL Iview.
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(
    "ROLES://portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/iViews/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.iviews/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.uwl_iview",
    WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,
    (String) null,
    (String) null,
    WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,
    (String) null,
    (String) null,
    (String) null);
    But it doesnt take me there. I shows some error messages.
    I am referring to the UWL Iview Under:
    Contents Provided By SAP > End User Content > Standard Portal Users > Iview > com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.iviews > Universal Worklist.
    Can anyone Suggest me where I cud have gone wrong. I am not passing any parameters. So I have kept the Last paramater as Null.
    Murali.

    fs = new FileStream(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory + ImageName, FileMode.Open);
    // initialise the binary reader from file streamobject
    br = new BinaryReader(fs);
    // define the byte array of filelength
    byte[] imgbyte = new byte[fs.Length + 1];
    // read the bytes from the binary reader
    imgbyte = br.ReadBytes(Convert.ToInt32((fs.Length)));
    dt.Rows[0]["Image"] = imgbyte;
    br.Close();
    // close the binary reader
    fs.Close();
    // close the file stream
    catch (Exception ex)
    // error handling
    MessageBox.Show("Missing " + ImageName + "or nophoto.jpg in application folder");
    return dt;
    // Return Datatable After Image Row Insertion

    PLease Help me !!
    I need this urgently.

    can you explain what your program tries to do... and
    at where it went wrong..Sir,
    We are trying to make an project where we can make a person register in our data base & after which he/she can search for other user.
    The logged in user can modify his/her own data but can view other ppl's data.
    We are in a phase of registering the user & that's where we are stuck. The problem is that after the login screen when we hit register (OK- button) the data are not getting entered in the data base.
    Can u please help me??
    I am using "jdk1.3' - studnet's edition.
    I am waiting for your reply.
    Thanks in advance & yr interest.

    I have completely uninstalled the HRC, and download from server install again -- still doesn't work with exactly same error.
    this matter only happens on this PC, when user try same thing on other PC, it works.
    so i think it not relate to server or account.

  • Word 2013 - MSI Install vs. One-Click Install - COM Exception Error

    Hello -
    we have a 3rd party control that sits on top of word to render word documents.  In a MSI installation of Word 2013 everything works fine.  When we use the one-click installation the rendering does not work and the system throws a com exception
    error.
    it basically says "The document is not associated with an ActiveX Document server.  at OfficeControlLIB.IOfficeControl.OpenLocalfile...
    there is a suggested fix @ http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19778211/office-2013-click-to-run-installer-and-activex-issue/26890815#26890815
    where you modify the registry to insert :

    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    So it's a 32-bit version of Office which is running on a 32-bit version of Windows, try to omit
    Wow6432Node from the registry keys and see if it works.
    It's a 3rd party control, there is no way for us to understand how exactly it works. I'd suggest you contact the vendor support of that control for further assistance.

    It's recommended to download and install
