UWL timings lag by 1 hour

Dear Experts,
We are on NW7.0 SP09 , ECC 6.0 Unicode. Our user store is CRM. We are using the webflowconnector to get workitems in the UWL.However ,the portal UWL timings lag by 1 hour when compared to the timings in SBWP.The user's timezone is maintained to EST in the backend. However in the portal it shows as EST (GMT-5) instead of GMT-4 which accounts for 1 hour lag.Is there any setting in the portal which takes care of daylight savings?Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Karambir Singh

Windows 7 Pro (x64) gets from power button to login screen in 20.1 seconds (with startup animation disabled).  From login to "desktop ready" is dependent on how many services, processes are running - but in my case about 8 seconds until cursor is idle, ready.  If I'm fast with my password, I can get in in under 30 total!  Kidding - I rarely reboot now that apps are all in place.
Photoshop CS5 (x64) loads in 5.2 seconds.  Nothing is cached as Windows 7 senses an SSD and turns off caching.  Indexing is also off as it is virtually instant as you type in search.  It's quite nice.
...loving the SSD.  Friends have claimed it's overkill in X100e - probably right - but could not in good faith buy some RAM-brand drive or even a smaller drive - want to keep everything on this drive.  Wanted a silent, safe, quick, large enough drive - and SSD is a scary world of confusing benchmarks for now.  I played it safe (worth the 20% higher cost to me) and chose the intel.
Last thing to configure before I am settled in... I'm in the process of tuning my fan speed to suit the different Power Manager settings I've made - cutting noise and heat, and getting a little more battery.

  • Home button lagging, up to hours

Last night my Home button just stopped working. So i started using the AssistiveTouch, then when i was sending a text, then my phone started to use the home button by itself. Like all my clicks had been queued up. I'm talking hours afterwards.
Then for a bit, the button worked like it should. But after i put it to sleepmode, the same thing happened.
And just now, i playing Candy crush(lol!) it just started again. I couldn't play because it kept going using the home button by itself. Starting voice control etc etc..
I have tried resetting rebooting the phone, I have tried to reset the phone and I have tried to recalibrate the home button.
I mean, I could live with a  few seconds delays, but 10 hours? Nope
Any advice is appreciated, otherwise i'll guess I have to go to the closest store.

    Hello VALLT,
It sounds like your iPhone's home button is taking a very long time to respond.  I found an article with some steps to address this.  You can skip any of the steps you have taken (like restarting and resetting the phone), but it looks like the next step is to restore your iPhone:
The Home button is slow to respond
If the Home button is slow to respond when exiting one application, try another application.
If the issue exists only in certain applications, try removing and reinstalling those applications. For further assistance in installing and troubleshooting applications see this article
If the issue continues, Try turning iPhone off and then on again. If the iPhone will not restart, try resetting it.
If the issue is still happening, try to restore the iPhone
Seek service is the issue is still occurring.

  • Play back is jumpy and lags, help

I have a total of about 4 hours of video I'll be making, and on my timeline I've nearly hit an hour. I lowered by playback settings to Standard that way is reduced the picture and played smoother. It made it work for a bit longer rather than lagging immediately.
The problem is the video, the video lags while playing and then eventually freezes on a frame but the audio continues. This obviously is annoying, but also making is difficult to edit. Are there setting somewhere I can lower the performance that will assist here? If I'm lagging at an hour its going to be impossible at 4 hours.
If I exported to quicktime and imported it again, would it lower the quality? I'm willing to work around it...maybe exporting a half hour at a time. Any idea? I lost all my data once and I don't want to "test" anything for fear of losing it all.
    Thanks

Too many audio clips, or overlapping audio clips, can cause the stuttering problem. Varies from computer to computer and project to project. I know of no lower quality resolution settings other than the Standard that you are using. You can toggle between small screen view and full screen view, and that sometimes can shake it loose temporarily. Also, unchecking the preference to center the playhead on playback can sometimes help. Make sure that your boot drive has at least 20GB of free space. If you can remove some of the overlaps while editing, and then put them back later, that might help. Or don't add all of your audio until you have finished editing the video.
Exporting to Full Quality Quicktime and importing again will not cause any loss of quality (at least that I can see). But it will limit editing if you do that with the whole movie. With longer movies I handle that by editing separate segments in separate iMovie projects, and then bring the segments back in to your control project as Full Quality Quicktime Movies. That limits the number of audio tracks and eliminates overlapping.
You also can export all or portions of your audio track as an .aiff file, using the Expert Settings. That will merge the clips thus limiting the number of audio clips and overlaps.
One other point: You will not be able to fit a four hour project onto a standard 2 hour DVD. You will need to use a dual layer disk or split your movie between two disks. Check your hardware profile to verify that your burner can burn dual layer disks.
Perhaps others will have additional suggestions.

  • Starcraft 2 UI Lag

    Hihi,
Does anyone who plays Starcraft 2 have user interface lag during peak hours? If you could please check and post to let me know it would be much appreciated.
My son asked me to check the game for him as browsing match history, player profiles and achievements take around 30 seconds to load up. His friends at the time said it was loading instantly for them. One guy in Korea had instant loading :-). None use BT and I would like to see where the problem lies.
During off peak hours it loads instantly. Traceroutes to eu.logon.battle.net are fine.
    Thanks,
    Shaun

    Hihi,
Although I'm on BT Infinity would it be worth posting this question in BB Speed/Connection Issues to get a reply?

I have a problem with the calendar/alarm in the iPhone 4.
When I book an event with alarm, the alarm alerts you with a lag of 8 hours (vs the time of my location, i.e. Portugal).
Does anyone know how to solve this issue???
Strangely I never had this problem in iPhone 3Gs.

  • Screen clock shows time in mars

    Hi,
On my MacBook 13" OS 10.5.8 my screen clock (the little one in the right hand upper corner) shows a different time from the date and time set and defined on my analog clock in the system preference settings.
Well the analog and the digital clocks in the system settings show different times with a digital clock time lag of 3 hours. No correction on that when I set the date and time automatically on (time .euro.apple.com) or any other of the automatic alternatives. The automatic settings give the correct time on the analog clock but not on the digital one.
Hope this schizophrenic state does not start to affect the user.
Can someone advice me on what's going on.
    regards, pyry.

I've been plagued by this problem ever since I got a new iMac with Leopard and migrated from my old with Tiger. I just found the solution in another thread. This worked for me. I hope it does for you also.
    Author is Rod Hagen
In the Finder head to the "Go" menu, choose "Go to Folder..." and type in "/etc"
Now look for the "localtime" folder (within the etc folder) and drag it to trash. (It will ask you to authenticate yourself as someone with admin permissions when you do this).
Now go to System Preferences (under the Apple menu) and set your date, time zone etc up again.
    (see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2538 )
If this isn't the problem, then I'd be wondering about an issue with third party software (perhaps a clock widget or GPS software of some kind) causing problems.
    Cheers

  • Should I give up on Gmail IMAP?

Can somebody help me feedback about my Gmail IMAP problem, please?
I switched from pop to imap in November and as a first step successfully uploaded my ~2GB of old pop messages up to gmail to have everything in sync. I did this by copying the old folders across into the gmail folder and as far as I can tell this worked fine - all messages are there in gmail with correct labels.
I also set up gmail just right, I think, with the Sent, Trash and Draft folders of Mail.app mapped correctly to their gmail counterparts.
So what's my problem, you may ask? Well, I find with this set-up, Mail.app has become so slow and dangerously unreliable that I just cannot work with it. As soon as I am online or open a folder, Mail starts very lengthy caching and synching processes that seem to near freeze all action. For example, opening folders can take forever and I cannot use Mail Act-on properly as it just takes waaaaayyy to long.
But what's worse, although I have the option checked to download full messages and attachments, because I want to have copies for offline viewing, this doesn't work properly! All old messages should have still been on my mac in the first place, as I copied them from there, but they are not. Many are blank or garbled, when they appear fine in Gmail.
Finally, it seems that the data tranfer/caching/synching old folders that Mail.app attempts as soon as I go online somehow buggers up Gmail remotely, as when I have Mail running online, I often have problems receiving messages - they will arrive with lags of several hours, which is a total dealbreaker for me.
I tried switching to not downloading messages but it didn't even make a difference
My question is now, can anybody think of a way to solve my problems and still use IMAP, or should I just revert to pop and manually update what I have read and keep my sent messages in sync?
I probably use gmail's web interface for most reading and quick writing, but absolutely want to keep offline copies and use mail for the great ical and address book integration and for emailing with ease from apps like iPhoto and Journler.
Am really gutted that IMAP doesn't seem to be working out for me and would be very grateful for any tips.
    Many thanks,
    Nora

    Hi there,
Interesting to read that you have a Rule to move Mail into 'All Mail'...
This is not necessary, 'All Mail' contains a 'copy' of every message, including Sent, and every message in your Folders, so you are moving a message into a folder that already contains a copy of that message (if I am guessing correctly).
A quick theory (as an example), if you have 500 sent messages and 250 in your Inbox and Folders, All Mail will contain 750 messages - copies of your 500 sent and 250 received Mail). Again, this is so Google can have 'Labels' instead of Folders on the Web side of Gmail.
Try stopping this Rule from moving messages to All Mail and see if that helps with your syncing...
Regarding your post before the last one, if you have 20,000 sent message alone, my best guess (in ideal situations) is it would take *at least* 3 or 4 days to successfully Sync with Gmail's servers...
Have you thought about Archiving your messages, for instance by year? I say this because syncing 20,000 messages will take an awfully long time, no matter how fast your internet connection is or how streamlined your database is. Also, do you actually need access to 20,000 messages at the click of a mouse? By archiving you can save Disk space and have a faster sync... a little link here:
    http://www.it-enquirer.com/main/ite/more/archive_email/
It isn't a serious problem in OS X Mail with IMAP, because every message is a small file (you can see them in ~/Library/Mail) so there is no chance of the database becoming corrupt so badly that your messages are lost... unlike Outlook which stores EVERYTHING in one file (all your eggs in one basket, anyone?) and I have had that happen to clients. Once Outlook decides it cannot read a PST file, that is pretty much the end of the road for your messages!
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Jamie

  • SOA real-time design question

    Hi All,
We are currently working with SOA Suite 11.1.1.4. I have a SOA application requirement to receive real-time feed for six data tables from an external third party. The implementation consists of five one-way operations in the WSDL to populate the six database tables.
I have a design question. The organization plans to use this data across various departments which requires to replicate or supply the data to other internal databases.
In my understanding there are two options
    1) Within the SOA application fork the data hitting the web-service to different databases.
My concern with this approach is what if organizations keep coming with such requests and I keep forking and supplying multiple internal databases with the same data. This feed has to be real-time, too much forking with impact the performance and create unwanted dependencies for this critical link for data supply.2) I could tell other internal projects to get the data from the populated main database.
My concern here is that firstly the data is pushed into this database flat without any constraints and it is difficult to query to get specific data. This design has been purposely put in place to facilitate real-time performance. Also asking every internal projects to get data from main database will affect its performance.
Please suggest which approach should I take (advantage/disadvantage. Apart from the above two solutions, is there any other recommended solution to mitigate the risks. This link between our organization and external party is somewhat like a lifeline for BAU, so certainly don't want to create more dependencies and overhead.
    Thanks

I had tried implementing the JMS publisher/subscriber pattern before, unfortunately I experienced performance was not so good compared to the directly writing to the db adapter. I feel the organization SOA infrastructure is not setup correctly to cope with the number of messages coming through from external third party. Our current setup consists of three WebLogic Servers (Admin, SOA, BAM) all running on only 8GB physical RAM on one machine. Is there Oracle guideline for setting up infrastructure for a SOA application receiving roughly 600000 messages a day. I am using SOA 11.1.1.4. JMS publisher/subscriber pattern just does not cope and I see significant performance lag after few hours of running. The JMS server used was WebLogic JMS
    Thanks

  • Logical reads per second

I have two databases - one is a clone of the other, amde a few months ago. Database A has somewhat more data, since it's the active production database, but not significantly more - perhaps 10% greater. They are on different boxes. Database A is on a Sun 280R 2-processor box. Database B is on a Dell 2950 with 2 dual-core processors. So this isn't exactly comparing apples to apples. However, when I run the same query on the two databases, I get radically different results. Against Database A, the query takes about 7 minutes. On Database B, it takes about 2 seconds. Logical reads per second on Database A reach 80,000-90,000; on Database B, they're about 3,000. There are a few configuration differences (both databases use automatic memory management):
    Database A Database B
    db_file_multiblock_read_count 64 16
    log_buffer 14290432 2104832
    open_cursors 1250 300
    sga_max_size 4194304000 536870912
    sga_target 2634022912 536870912
    shared_pool_reserved_size 38587596 7340032
The timings were taken off-hours so neither database would be busy. I'm baffled by the extreme difference in execution times. Any help appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Harry

  • LSO  - Recording Attendance in IT 2002 for Class Room Training.

    Dear Expert,
We had implemented LSO some time ago.
Once class room training is booked, Attendace is not recording in IT 2002.
Please let us know what are settings, we need to do to record the attendance in IT 2002 once the course is booked from back end or through portal by the user.
    Regards
    Badarinarayana

Thx a lot Noobie for the info.
Its getting updated in IT2002 now.
However, what ever timings got maintained in schedule are getting reflected in IT 2002
Suppose, course is schedule for 6 hours with lunch break. Schedule is maintainted accordingly with lunch break.
In IT2002, the timings are getting reflected exactly whatever we mentioned against schedule in course -- schedule.
Ours is positive time management, Hence, it attracts salary deduction if any deviation in IT 2002.
Though schedule is maintainted, how to maintain default timings of 8.5 hours for booked course against employee for that day without refering scheduled timings.
Please suggest me how to go about in this case.
    regards
    Badarinarayana

  • Problem with the Timezone settings

hi We are having a database in the timezone 'Australia/Melbourne' and after the daylight saving is enabled, below are my findings on the server:
    SQL> SELECT SESSIONTIMEZONE FROM DUAL;
    SESSIONTIMEZONE
    +11:00
    SQL> select tz_offset(dbtimezone) from dual;
    TZ_OFFS

    SQL> select to_char(sysdate,'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from dual;
    TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'DD
    07/10/2010 22:22:11
    SQL> select
    to_char(sysdate, 'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') as australia_timestamp,
to_char(from_tz(cast (sysdate as timestamp), 'Australia/Melbourne') at time zone 'UTC', 'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') as utc_timestamp
    from dual;
    2 3 4
    AUSTRALIA_TIMESTAMP UTC_TIMESTAMP
    07/10/2010 22:22:22 07/10/2010 12:22:22
    SQL> !date
    Thu Oct 7 22:22:55 EST 2010
I checked the clock for this for UTC: at http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ and it was: Thursday, 7 October 2010 at 11:24:21
My question here is when the diff in the timezones timings is 11:00 hours and even the server time and the sysdate show the same, then why the above queries are returning diff results?
Is it related to some setting which is wrong or there is something to be modified in the query itself?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • R12 SSHR - Leave of Absence page error

    HI,
I am filling the leave details like "From" & "To" date, selecting leave type etc. When I click "Next" button, I am getting an error message like "A compiled version of the formula 324 cannot be found.. Check that it exists and compiled..."
I just copied the formula from "TEMPLATE ABSENCE DURATION" into "BG_ABSENCE_DURATION" (created new formula name with "Quickpaint" type)
    How to overcome this error?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Systemd and localtime

    Hi all,
My laptop has its hardware clock in localtime, and I use systemd. The wiki mentions the issue, with explanation why this is not a good idea, but I don't have much choice here... I do have Windows installed on this machine, but this is a company installation where I do not have administrative rights, and can't edit the registry.
As a consequence, I have a constant lag of 2 hours between my laptop's displayed time and the actual time. NTP is indeed an option, but I'm not always connected to internet...
How can I have my machine in localtime using systemd ?
    Thanks !

willy9 wrote:My laptop has its hardware clock in localtime
Change it to UTC -- Windows supports it now.
willy9 wrote:I do have Windows installed on this machine, but this is a company installation where I do not have administrative rights, and can't edit the registry.
Then you shouldn't have installed Linux on the company machine in the first place. They didn't give you admin rights, but they let you over-write the MBR with another bootloader?
