That's the same thing! When you click on the song to play it--you'll get a box asking you to authorize your computer. You'll have to use YOUR SISTER'S ITUNES ACCOUNT INFORMATION TO AUTHORIZE this song to play under your library.
I'm pretty sure your sister will have to do the reverse to get your songs to play in her library.

Thanks for trying Toonz, but unfortunately no success yet. I updated my driver but still get an error message. The interesting thing is I have windows XP (not Windows 2000), so I unchecked a box someone else suggested that I try to check. Here are my latest diagnostics:

Delete and redownload the ones that don't work if doing so is free in your country.

You could try repairing permissions with disk utility, I don't think you will have the option to repair the drive but you could verify it.
This may help you delete the files that DU made but did not remove when erasing the free space.

When you get your SL disk it will not have the iLife applications, that would have been on the second install disk that should have been with the computer. A search of the forums will confirm or deny this.
As to whether a clean install will cure your problem, i.e. partition the HDD and install I would expect it to be yes, but there are no guarantees it is an old machine.

If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
• Burn - Very simple - Just for doing a plain Video-DVD

My new ipod touch 4g 8gb wont let me add songs/apps/etc from itunes

i just exchanged my old ipod for a brand new one at the apple store (both touch;4g) because the home button wont work
when i try to add songs or apps to it (since it has nothing on it) it wont let me. i made sure to authorize my computer, too. it has a 'not allowed' symbol (crossed out circle) next to my ipod when i try to drag songs/apps/videos to it.
when i first plugged it in the other day, i used a back-up of my old ipod but it didnt do anything since i didnt back up my old ipod in the first place. when i wasnt able to add my songs/apps, i reset my ipod and 'started over' w/o a backup and it still didnt work
i also have the latest version of itunes on a windows xp computer
any help would be greatly appreciated ^_^

im a step closer now--i had it so i cant auto-sync any device on this computer, which it still is, but now i went to devices>my ipod>summary and checked 'manually manage music and videos'. now it has tje plus sign when i drag songs to it, but it doesnt sync when i drop them....

I go right click and get info on a track and it simply wont let me edit any info, it never did this before I activated the most recent itunes update. Please someone tell me how to fix this ? its driving me crazy

I had the same problem and I noticed that the songs that I could not edit were all ACC format. The Apple Lossless songs could be edited. To check to see if this is the case with your songs, right-click on a song, select "Get Info", and, under the "Summary" tab, the version is listed as "Kind".
To fix:
1. Highlight a song that you can't edit.
2. Under the "Advanced" menu at the top of your iTunes screen, select "Create Apple Lossless Version". This will create a duplicate song in your library.
3. Check to see if you can edit the new version.
I had to change the format of 6,000+ songs. If you have a large library (or even if you don't, I guess), here is the easiest way to change the formats of all the songs:
1. Highlight a group of songs (I have been choosing groups in alphabetical order).
2. Click on the "Create Apple Lossless Version" option in the "Advanced" menu.
3. When all of the duplicates have been created, the original "bad" versions will stay highlighted in blue.
4. Right-click on a blue area and deleted all of the original versions.
This worked for me but it may have something to do with my settings. You may need to experiment to see what versions of songs will allow you to edit them. Good luck!

I have the same problem. At first, it just said that my computer's drive was not working correctly, which it wasnt. No program could burn anything. so I contacted Toshiba, the manufacturer of my computer, and they tel me to delete the upper and lower filters of my driver. I do so, and itunes still does not work. Therefore, I uninstall and reinstall itunes, as it says to do, and it says my problem is that there are no upper and lowerfilters on my drive, that itunes apparently installed, and somehow needed these deleted registery files from my driver to burn. Now, this wouldn't be a problem, except the other programs i can use to burn a cd are not recognising some of the files from the itunes store that I am trying to put onto this CD.

The HT1766 article you attached lists the prerequisites for an iCloud backup:
iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your device using iOS 5 or later. After you have enabled Backup on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in Settings > iCloud > Backup & Storage, it will run on a daily basis as long as your device is:
Connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi
Connected to a power source
Screen locked
You can also back up manually whenever your device is connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi by choosing Back Up Now from Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.

Didn't get song I bought, why?

I bought the song "Conquest of Paradise" by Vangelis some time ago. Now I bought "Conquest of Paradise" by Dana Winner, but didn't get it. When I try to buy it again, it says I have already bought it. But when I "check what I have bought", it says everything is downloaded and cannot be downloaded again because it can be downloaded only once. So how do I get the song?

While iTunes said I should check my purchases, it also suggested that I buy the song again yes or no. Well, I bought the song now again. ITunes then started to download the song, but stopped immediately. I guess it "found" the song on my machine after all, and now I have the song playing... Have I paid twice for one song now?
Actually, the song has a scratch/glitch in it. So maybe I have bought it before and deleted it, but I just don't remember. If so, then now I bought it again, with the scratch, and deleted again. Happily there was a second album with the same song, which I bought now too, and which is without the scratch. So I maybe paid 3 times for one song, but now it works.

everytime i try to burn music onto a cd it says software not found. i tryed almost everything can you help me.

You can only drag and drop if you have iTunes configured to manually manage music. With the iPod connected to the compute go to the Summary pane for the iPod and check the box under Options that says sync only checked songs and videos.

I bought a few songs and music videos from iTunes, then all of a sudden it wouldn't play and would just skip to the next song. With the music videos it would do the same. Also, this message would show up " The Requested URL could not be found on this server" What does that exactly mean? And what do I need to do to play my music/videos again?
