Validate Configuration

I am running http://localhost/reportserver and getting:
Reporting Services Error
The report server has encountered a configuration error. (rsServerConfigurationError) Get
Online Help
SQL Server Reporting Services
What should I be looking into?
Thanks

Hi markgoldin,
According to your description, you get the error message when you tried to access report server using the URL:
http://localhost/reportserver. In Reporting Services Configuration Manager, in Database pane, when you point to a local database it says there are no Reporting services specific database.
Each report server instance requires a connection to the report server database that stores reports, report models, shared data sources, resources, and metadata managed by the server. The initial connection can be created during a report server installation
if you are installing the default configuration. In most cases, we will use the Reporting Services Configuration tool to configure the connection after Setup is complete. We can modify the connection at any time to change the account type or reset credentials.
In this case, we need to create a report server database for first use or use a different report server database.
For detail information for Configuring a Report Server Database Connection, please refer to the following document:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159133(v=sql.120).aspx
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Wendy Fu

  • Validate configuration error

I am setting up a new Flex Mobile and PHP Project, my first one.  I also installed Zend.  And I am getting the following error when I hit validate configuration:
"Cannot validate the configuration. The test file could not be created in the given web root folder."  My server location settings are as follows:
    Web Root: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zend\Apache2\htdocs
Root URL: http://localhost  (this brings up a zend server test page when I paste it into the browser, which leads me to believe this is working correctly)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I actually just figured it out, my web root folder was set to read-only.

  • Cannot "validate Configuration"

    Hi
After having selected "New Flex and PHP project", I filled out the Create PHP Project form.
Pressing "validate configuration" button fires a warning message on the top of the popup "Cannot validate the configuration. The test file....."
My web root folder is ok and my root url is http://localhost/ which is correct as this adress actually  brings me to the Zend Server test page.
Is there something done wrong or other params to set?
    Thanks in advance.

I have desinstalled Zend Server and tried with Xampp. Works fine!
I should try again and check this permission. Thanks

  • FB4 Beta 2 error message on "validate configuration" for web root

    Hello:
I have been working in FB4 beta 1 and had a php project working fine. After installing FB4 beta 2, i am now having problems with the flex server web root and/or root URL. i am now getting the following error message when I try and "validate configuration" for a configuration which had been working. The error message is:
"(the web root) is not a valid location because the project contains a linked resource at that location"
Here are my settings which had been workin g with FB4beta1, but which now result in the error message with FB4beta2:
    >> web root c:\wamp\www
    >> root URL: http://localhost
    >> output folder: c:\wamp\www\projectname-debug
I am running wamp server on my local machine as my testing server; I run windows XP pro; this is a php project
Has anyone seen this problem in FB4 beta2?
    thanks very much

I just recently had this issue myself but I did a Clean on my project and it seems to working fine now.
Hope this helps if you are still having this issue.

  • How to configure server location when you have a production server on Internet with PHP.

I try to set up the 'Web root' and root URL with my datacenter server data.
When I press 'validate configuration', get an error.
Only work if the php server is localhost.
    Regards

See screenshot of Expanded Files Panel.  Remote Server icon is left of Testing Server icon.

  • Enhancement Request - KickStart files for Oracle Validated Configurations

Just a thought, but I would like to request that the "Oracle Validate Configurations" also include an example kickstart file that contains the necessary RPMs above the default. In addition, in the %post section, all of the OS modifications (e.g. sysctl parameters, user accounts, ulimits, pam.d mods) that need to be completed for an Oracle installation could also be provided.
I have found some on the web and from suppliers such that I have created a kickstart file that is working for me and my hardware, but my mind would be at ease if there were more "sanctioned" versions out there.
FYI -- Reading through the documentation, it appears that OEM module for Oracle Linux provides the mechanism to create a kickstart file in the bare metal provisioning features.

A good start has already been done on OTN

  • Apache with PHP Fails to Validate in Sun Cluster

    Greetings,
I have Sun Cluster 3.2u2 running with two nodes and have Apache 2.2.11 running successfully in failover mode on shared storage. However, I just installed PHP 5.2.10 and added the line "LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so" to httpd.conf. I am now getting "Command {/global/data/local/apache/bin/apachectl configtest >/dev/null 2>&1} failed: httpd cannot parse httpd.conf, Failed to validate configuration." when I try to start the resource. I can start Apache just fine outside of the cluster, and when I run configtest manually, it replies "Syntax OK".
Anyone have any ideas why the Cluster software doesn't like the PHP module even though configtest passes with Syntax OK?
    Many thanks,
    Tim

Found it. Sun Cluster was apparently smart enough to know I was missing the correct PHP AddType lines in httpd.conf.

  • Unable to create records in database using PHP Data Service

Hello, I've been stuck on this for a few days and search up and down for this on the net, no response I've found has worked, so I come to you...
Here are the steps I've taken, I think it's pretty standard
    1. I have a macbook pro running osx 10.7.3
    2. I installed MAMP all default (I've acually reinstalled this because someone suggested this might fix it)
    3. Thru phpMyAdmin I created a database called my_test
    4. In that database I created a table, this is the export of that table: (I've also tried this with InnoDB which is the default)
    CREATE TABLE `customer` (
      `id` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
      `name` varchar(50) NOT NULL,
      `email` varchar(150) NOT NULL,
      PRIMARY KEY (`id`),
      UNIQUE KEY `id` (`id`)
    ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=1 ;
    5. I created a new Flx Project (Running Flash Builder 4.5.1 Premium)
         Project Name: PHPTest
Application Type: Desktop (Although I've done the same thing with Web and got the same results)
         >> Next
         Application Server Type: PHP
         Web Root: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/
         URL Root: http://localhost:8888/
Clicked 'Validate Configuration' and that worked
Output Folder: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/PHPService (default by Flash Builder)
         >> Finished
    6. On the Data/Services tab on the bottom I click 'Connect to Data/Service...'
         Select 'PHP'
         >> Next
Select 'Click here to generate a sample'
Select 'Generate from database' radio button
         Username: root
         Password: root (default for MAMP)
         Host name: localhost
Server port: 8889 (default for MAMP MySQL port, the HTTP port default is 8888 which in both cases seem to work but every video I've seen that uses MAMP on youtube uses 8889)
         Database: my_test
         Click 'Test Connection' (works)
         Table: customer
Primary Key: id (this field is greyed out and Flash Builder selects 'id' which it figures out from the SQL table)
         >> Click OK
    7. Then if I don't have the Zend Framework folder in my /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/ folder it tells me its going to create that and I say alright. Then Flash Builder says stuff about how this is really only for testing and not production server ready and I say alright.
    8. Then it takes me back to the Form from Step 6 when I get the chance to select 'Click here to generate a sample'
These fields are now filled with this data automaticly:
         PHP Class: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/PHPTest/services/CustomerService.php
         Service name: CustomerService
         Service package: services.customerservice
         Data type package: valueObjects
         >> Click Next (shows all the functions that will be now availible)
         >> Click Finished (End of the forms and it opens Dreamweaver to the php file it created CustomerService.php which I have no need to edit so I close that down)
    9. Back in Flash Builder I switch to design view and drag a datagrid onto the big white area in the middle, whatever that is called.
    10. Then below in Data/Services tab on the bottom I click drag the function 'GetAllCustomer' on top of the datagrid.
I say yes to rebound and click ok and the view of the datagrid is updated with the colums from the 'customer' table in mySQL.
(Now let me say that when I hit save and compile this, if I actually had records in this table that I insert thru phpMyAdmin, this does show in the datagrid. So for the whole CRUD thing I am able to get the R which is Read)
    11. Now going back to the design view in Flash Builder I will create a form to create records in the table... (I guess this isn't really a step)
    12. In the Data/Service tab on the bottom I select 'createCustomer' function and then there is an icon called 'Generate Form' that looks like a white piece of paper with a gear on the bottom of it.
    13. This opens up a new form and since I don't have a crazy bunch of fields in my table I just click Finished (If you click next you can specify which fields you want to exclude from the form but this time I don't need to)
    14. This actually creates 2 forms if you look at the code, the second just shows the return type from when you click 'CreateCustomer' button on the first form. Because they overlap in design view I drag the form out of the way so you can see the input form, the return form, and the datagrid
    15. Then I save and compile...
(Also if your actually reading this I didn't remove the id form field, I get the same result either way, but if you do remove the form field in the code/design you also have to update the button function to not deal with the id before it gets sent off to the php page since in this case the MySQL table is set to auto_increment the id, sorry this doesn't make much sence but this little area doesn't matter much either way)
    16. Now fill in whatever data you want for name and email, try differnt numbers in the id field like 0, nothing, 1, 1000 and click 'CreateCustomer'
(For me nothing happens, no return is put in the return field, no error pops up and the datagrid is not updated with the new record, also going over to phpMyAdmin and checking out the table browse doesn't show any changes either, I know the button is calling the function because if I add a state change in that function it changes, it would seem that the line:
    createCustomerResult.token = customerService.createCustomer(customer2); doesn't do anything)
So any idea what is wrong here, I'm convenced it's something stupid easy simple I just can't see it.

  • I can't get Flashbuilder 4.6 to connect to remote Linux server on port 80

I'm using Flashbuilder 4.6 on a Mac (Snow Leopard). I have a new CentOS 6.2 Linux server with Apache webserver 2.2.21 on it, then installed GlassFish 3.1.1 application server on it, then installed mod_jk to connect Apache and Glassfish. Everything is installed on the same server. I verified that I can deploy an example war file (web application) in Glassfish and access it fine using either,
mydomain.com:8080/mywebapp  (uses port 8080, which is direct connection to GlassFish)
mydomain.com/mywebapp   (uses port 80, which enters Apache and passes through mod_jk to get to Glassfish)
This works well (no errors in any logs files).
Then I download BlazeDS from Adobe website, create a hello world application with it and deploy it in GlassFish. I next try to setup a new Flex Project in Flashbuilder 4.5. Using the wizard, I come to the section (under Server location) where I need to input a Root Folder and Root URL. Everything works fine when using a Root URL of http://mydomain.com:8080/mywebapp, meaning, I can click on the Validate Configuration button and Flashbuilder connects to the server.
But if I enter in the Root URL input field http://mydomain.com/mywebapp, then Flashbuilder cannot connect to the server. I need to eventually close port 8080, so I need this solution, which uses port 80, to work.
I made sure that the httpd.conf file VirtualHost section does include a `JkMount /mywebapp worker1` statement, and I can even look at the mod_jk.log file and see that Apache correctly opens a socket for mod_jk to communicate via AJP between Apache and GlassFish (with no errors or warnings) when the address `mydomain.com/mywebapp` appears on port 80. The GlassFish server.log file also shows no problems.
I'm stumped what to do next. Does anyone have experience connecting GlassFish, mod_jk, Apache, and Blazeds (or LCDS, should be similar)? If so, do you see any differences in my setup compared to yours? I'm only trying to use RemoteObject (not messaging, or streaming, etc.) with Java POJOs.

    Hi!
Thanks for the reply. No, my ISP isn't providing me with three IP addresses, just one static address. And the VDSL modem...not a router, but beyond that, don't know much about it. Do have a switching hub, however, a gigabit thing that so far is working great.
Managed, somehow, to get everything working, however. Really don't know what I did. But I can now take the MBP off the wire and connect to the other Macs without turning on Airpot on those machines. Next step now is to take the MBP to another location and try to establish a connection to the home network via Desktop Transporter or Vine. That's the Holy Grail that will allow me to sever the cords that keep me from straying too far from home during working hours. Love to sit at that coffee shop across the park and do my work from there!

Although the versions 10.1.3.4 and 10.1.3.3 are close and should be able to use 10.1.3.4 JDev for most 10.1.3.3 development, the human tasks is the one exception. 10.1.3.3 had a few bugs fixed therefore the jar file used in JDev 10.1.3.4 may not be compatible with 10.1.3.3.
I would either use JDev 10.1.3.3 or upgrade SOA Suite to 10.1.3.4

  • Flex mobile project: web root and root path for a remote web service?

    Hi all,
i'm trying to set up the testdrive tutorial for flex mobile project, with flash builder 4.5
    and php data.
I've uploaded the files on my remote web space (e.g. http://mywebsite.org, and the
test file is http://mywebsite.org/TestDrive/test/test.php... and it works
correctly)... But when i'm setting properties of the project, i don't know what
to write into the web root and root path fields... I thing root path is simply
http://mywebsite.org... and whatever i write in the other fields (output folder
too) i have errors when i click on "validate configuration"...
What should i put into those fields? is zend framework (and gateway.php)
    strictly necessary?
As you can see... i'm a bit confused....
    Many thanks for any help
    Bye
    Alex

I thought it was a simple question...
    No advice?

  • Problem Creating Project (Flash Builder 4) which uses LiveCycle DS

I have a web app which uses LiveCycle DS 2.6.1, however, when I try to create a new flex project I am getting this error:
Only LiveCycle Data Services 2.6 and higher are supported.
Here are the steps in Flash Builder 4
    1. File -> New -> Flex Project
    2. Set project name
    3. Point folder to existing source code
    4. Change "Application server type" to "J2EE"
    5. Check the "Use remote object acces service"
    6. Select "LiveCycle Data Services ES" radio button
    7. Click next
    8. Un-check "Use default location for local LiveCycle Data Services server
    9. Set "Root Folder" to "C:\tomcat\webapps\myapp"
-- in myapp, I have WEB-INF\flex of course
    10. Set root URL and context root
    11. Click "Validate Configuration"
This gives me the error: "Only LiveCycle Data Services 2.6 and higher are supported."
Any ideas?  How is Flash Builder determining the version of LiveCycle?

    Hi Jeremy,
I tried the steps you mentioned and cannot reproduce the problem. You mentioned you are pointing your project location to existing source code. Was there a previous FB project at that location? Was that project using an older version of LCDS before? If you create a new project and point it to a new emoty project location folder (or use default workspace location), do you still see the problem? Any more information you can give me to help reproduce the problem would help.
    thanks!

  • PHP Connection in Flash Builder 4

    Hi
Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I could see nowhere else to ask this question.
I am very, very new to Flash Builder (in fact, I am following a tutorial on building a data-centric application using Flash catalyst CS5 and Flash Builder 4).
The problem I am having is that I cannot seem to validate the data connection in Flash Builder 4.
For my project, I click "Connect to Data/Service" then select PHP. I select Flex Server and change the "Application Server Type" to PHP.
The page I then get asks for a Web Root and Root URL. This is where I'm having problems. No matter what I type in these boxes, when clicking the "Validate Configuration", I get the error of "Cannot access the web server".
I have Apache and PHP installed on this Windows 7 64-bit machine.
The Web root folder for my site is actaully held on my D drive, so web root reads.. "D:\Web Files\Site".
The URL for this local site is http://site.local
I can browse to http://site.local in my browser and all is well. My site shows. I can even see this fine in Flash Builder's Internal web browser.
I have tried moving the web root folder inside the default apache root htdocs folder, but get the same problem. I have even changed the permissions on all folders to allow full control, but this doesn't help.
I really am starting to tear my hair out now. Can someone please help me? Am I doing something obviously wrong?
    Many Thanks

Did you install apache / php / (optionally mysql) separately or in a bundle. I would suggest using xampp bundle, because it configures everything correctly along with installing a few helpful tools like phpmyadmin, etc. Great fast setup for testing purposes. Anyway... about the URL: I think the url you should be using is something like http://localhost/yourprojectfolder/...
Presuming you have set up a project... and selected the option PHP at application server type you would then input (in my case, using the default xampp setup):
    Web root: C:\xampp\htdocs
    Root url: http://localhost
    Output folder: C:\xampp\htdocs\<projectname_here>-debug
The url you d input in the browser to navigate to your project would then be: http://localhost/<projectname_here>-debug
(no index.html at the end, provided your server is setup to serve this file automatically if it exists)
    Hope this helps!

  • Failover cluster validation errors

We are trying to set up a failover cluster file server between two domain controllers running Windows Server 2012 RC.
When we go through the Validate Configuration wizard, we receive the following errors messages against the Active Directory configuration (names have been changed).
"It could not be determined whether node computer1.example.com is a read only domain controller because of this error: The object does not exist."
    and
"Node(s) computer1.example.com computer2.example.com cannot reach a writable domain controller. Please check connectivity of these nodes to the domain controllers."
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? Replication and DNS appear to be working fine for all other services.

I did some tracking down of the problem, and it appears that it stems from the cluster not being able to retrieve the node names.  The function specifically is called GetFqdnNodeNamesFromCluster( ).
It can be seen if you run "Get-ClusterLog" while the cluster is in the process of being created.  This error seems to be the root of the cluster creation failure.  Here is a stacktrace:

  • Failover Cluster on Server 2012 R2

    Hi
I`m trying to deploy a Failover Cluster with two servers, both Virtual machines on Vmware, OS- server 2012 r2.
Both servers can see all disks from storage.
For some reason, I keep getting these messages(for all disks) when I run "Validate Configuration" before creating the cluster:
    1. Persistent Reservation Registration key 0x1000100b2 for Test Disk X reservation holder node "Servername" was not removed by the call to REGISTER using RESERVATION KEY 0x1000100b2 and SERVICE ACTION RESERVATION KEY 0x1000100c2.
    2. Test DiskX does not support SCSI-3 Persistent Reservations commands needed by clustered storage pools that use the Storage Spaces subsystem. Some storage devices require specific firmware versions or
settings to function properly with failover clusters. Contact your storage administrator or storage vendor for help with configuring the storage to function properly with failover clusters that use Storage Spaces.
all other steps come sout with no errors.
I have already deployed another cluster, the same way, and didn`t get any of those messages..
Can anyone give me a hand here?
    Thank you!
    I

    Hi Moriyas,
The VMware has some specific supported scenario when we use failover cluster, please refer the following VMware KB to realize the detail requirement on your current platform.
