Validation errors detected in form. when running a task
Hi All,
We are working on a large scale deployment that involves creating, modifying, deleting, etc. users utilizing ActiveSync processing in Sun IdM 7.1
But for some reason, everytime we run a user through ActiveSync processing, we are receiving the following error message:
com.waveset.exception.FormValidation: Validation errors detected in form.
My guess is that either the ActiveSync form is corrupted or maybe the default user form.
I have rolled back to prior versions of our custom ActiveSync form, but it has not solved the problem. I have checked the ActiveSync logs looking for a missing required field, but no errors show up there.
I cant seem to find the form that this validation error is occuring on. I have tracing set up on level 4, and it doesnt seem to point me in the right direction.
Any advise or experience with this error message would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I have the similar problem. Do you have solution yet?

Error detected while attempting to run job
Hi everyone,
One of my users tried to run a rule in Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 and an error occurred: Error detected while attempting to run job
When I went to Essbase, I found that when I launched the rule an error appeared:
ERROR - 1006059 - Invalid block header: Illegal block type -- Please use the IBH Locate/Fix utilities to find/fix the IBH problem.
I read that it could be an issue related to corrupted blocks. I'm not familiar with MXL and I read that there are commands that I could run. Someody could provide me help?
Regards,I have XCP files:

Error -17300 is generated when running selected step
Error -17300 is generated when running selected step (with ot without process model).
Using TestStand 2.0.1f1
See BMP file for error dialog.
I was trying out the example in the Resource Library - TestStand | Process Models | Running Selected Steps via Execution Entry Point -Test UUTs or Single Pass
(link http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=B45EACE3E2B756A4E034080020E74861&p_node=DZ52222&p_source=external ). This example is a 1.0.1 example but the web page does say that it should work in 2.0.x
I followed the readme file to use from "Execute" menu:
I have attached the resulant SequentialModel.seq file.
The modifications to the SequentialModel.seq file appears to wo
rk, but when I tried to run 'Run Selected Steps Using' menu item. I got the error message -17300 displayed. (see ErrorScr.bmp attached). The only way to close the execution was to launch Task manager and 'End Task'.
I have attached a small demo sequencefile.
To try example:
Move the SequentialModel.seq to 'C:\TestStand\Components\User\Models\TestStandModels'.
Launch TestStand Sequence Editor and open 'Debug Example1.seq'.
This is how to generate error condition-
1. Run the sequence file from menu Item Execute | Single Pass. You should get a full run with test result, it fails but that doesn't matter.
2. Select Steps 1 and 3 in Main of MainSequence. Run Selected Steps using Single Pass. Again sequence executes correctly.
3. Now run the same selected steps using the new menu item Execute | Selected Test(s). Again the sequence executes again.
4. With Steps 1 and 3 still selected. Run Selected Steps using Single Pass (as in 2 above). This time the error -17300 will be gener
ated.
I also tried running the sequence first doing step 1 (as above), then step 3, then repeating step 1 and this was ok. So the problem appears to be in interactive only.
Any clues as to whats going on and how to resolve it.

ErrorScr.bmp 915 KBHi,
TestStand 2.0.1f1
Attached is a SequentialModel.seq that will run selected steps in a new execution using the process model. (It started life based on the inital
demo example)
When either Test UUT's or Single Pass is selected a check is made to determine if there is an initial selection.
If there isn't then the normal Test UUT's or Single Pass sequence is run.
If there is then a new sequence file is created with a new MainSequence. The selected steps are cloned and inserted to the new MainSequence. Also
the Setup and Cleanup groups are also cloned. Likewise the FileGlobal Defaults are copied to the FileGlobals of the new Sequencefile and also the
Locals.
Any Sequences contained in the SequenceFile are cloned to the new sequencefile (except the MainSequence, SequenceFileLoad and SequenceFileUnLoad).
In addition, as the Steps are cloned any break point are also set in the new sequence file.
The new sequence file is executed in a new execution using the process model entry point with the break on first step controlled from the menu
option.
One thing I am assuming is that there is only one element in the RunState.InitialSelection.SelectedSequences array.
Question: Under what circumstances will there be more than one selected sequence?
I had one problem, I tried my SequentialModel.seq with the demo auto.seq. This contains the SequenceFileLoad and SequenceFileUnload.
When I run this demo with a few steps selected, it run ok but when I closed the results window the UnloadFile callback was executed.
I found an option that can be set with the Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx which should have stopped the UnloadFile callback from running. But it
made no difference.
I then came across SequenceFile.UnloadCallbackEnabled() and using this function it did disable the Unload callback and this worked.
Question: So, Why didn't setting the Option in the Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx work?
Limitation using this SequentialModel.seq,
1) Any precondition to a step's execution based on the result of an early steps are not check when cloning the selected steps. Therefore this has
to be done manually when making the selection.
2) All Sequences in the SequenceFile are cloned to the new sequencfile. (May not be a problem when SequenceFile contains only a few sequences.)
3) The selections are limited to the MainSequence. If steps are selected in a Subsequence then these would be copied to a new MainSequence and
this would be run. Providing this doesn't require any parameters passed from the original caller then this should still run. The problem will
arise if parameters are required.
4) This is not really a limitation - If a full run of the SequenceFile using Test UUT's or Single Pass is required then the user must ensure no
steps are selected.
What I whould like to happen is the ability to make a selection in SubSequence calls either one or two levels down from the MainSequence. The new
execution setup would contain those steps in the MainSequence that are required to call those selected steps in the lower levels.
Would welcome any comments on my SequentialModel.seq attached and answers to my questions.

Error message about forms when ID exported PDF is opened in Reader
I'm using ID CS2.
Has anyone successfully made navigation buttons on an exported PDF that doesn't produce an error message about forms when opened in Adobe Reader?
There's an Adobe page about this that says it's caused by having a stroke too near a link field, but I can't seem to avoid the message if I place more than one button anywhere on a page. I've spent a lot of time playing with this and can't seem to find a workaround.
Am I a sucker? Is anyone else trying to use this function other than me? It seemed like the perfect solution to this project I produced and now whenever a user opens the PDF they are greeted with a confusing message that has absolutely nothing to do with the functionality of the document.Well, everything in those PDFs were form fields. You can make form fields in Acrobat - and then you can right-click on 'em and change their appearance, whether or not they'll accept rich text input, whether or not they'll scroll, and so on. It could also be done in LiveCycle Designer, for what it's worth. I wrote a now-obsolete post about this in response to yours before Mike showed up with this video.
Probably most of your work on your designs in InDesign would need to be trashed; you'd need to rebuild the whole thing in Acrobat or LiveCycle. I have to say that, unless your targeted documents are extremely simple, that this is one of the worst document translation workflows I've ever seen in the last fifteen years. It might work - I'm trying to keep an open mind, here - but if you have any non-Latin-script languages in your target list, or if print reproduction is what you're after, or if you're expecting tracking revisions to the translations to be anything but a nightmare, I would suggest that you test this method inside and out before progressing any further. -
Can you "debug" a form when running on the App. Server?
We recently got a project to do defect fixing of a Oracle Forms 10g application.
They have given us each developer a VM with an app. server, source code etc.
Problem is, we cannot run the form using the Form Builder.
They want us to always make changes to the form, deploy in the app. server and run the form using the Application Menu.
Problem is, how can we do line-by-line debugging in a situation like this?
Normally, we would press the "Run form debug" button to run the form in Forms developer in debug mode.
What is the solution?
Should we ask the owners to give us permission to run the form from Developer?
Or, is there way to do debugging a form when running from app. server?user12240205 wrote:
So Craig, why is it prompting me with a File Open dialog box when it tries to run a DB procedure?
What does the Forms debugger supposed to do? Run it and bring back result?
Because Forms doesn't know how to load the object so it is prompting you to open it. However, since the Forms debugger can't read the source of the database program unit (procedure, package, function) - you can't debug it from Forms. At least, I've never been able to do it and I've tried making Forms open a source file for a database program unit. It basically boils down to the fact that Oracle Forms can only debug objects that are within the scope of the Forms runtime/builder and database program units are not contained within the Forms objects (eg; Forms binary, PL/SQL Library or Menu Module binary). I recommend you "Step-Over" any call to a database program unit when you encounter them in the Forms debugger. The database program unit will take longer than normal to run, but it will eventually finish and take you to the next line of code to be executed.

My data acquisition program uses Traditional NI-DAQ in Visual C++ 6.0. When I run the program, I get error -10609 at the SCAN_Start that states
A transfer is already in progress for the specified resource, or the operation is not allowed because the device is in the process of performing transfers, possibly with different resources.
Why do I receive this error?Hi,
TThe error -10609 can result from several situations in which the device's resources are already in use.
A Measurement & Automation (MAX) test panel is already open.
If you open a test panel window for your device and attempt to run your application, you can get this error. If this is the case, close the MAX test panel.
An AI Clear function was not used at the end of the previous acquisition.
If you do not call the AI Clear function after performing your acquisition, the resources remain open. Be sure to call this function, inputting your taskID, at the end of the acquisition.
Multiple programs are accessing the device.
If you have multiple VIs accessing the device, or perhaps a LabVIEW VI and another application, the resource will be taken and you will receive the error. You can only run one application accessing the specific resource (for example, analog input on channel 0) at a time
I hope this helps...and have a Great Day!

Form when running through menu
Hi
I have a form - and when I run it from forms, it runs with the a toolbar up the top with icons for save, delete record etc. However when I run it through a menu (.mmb), it doesn't have this toolbar at the top. How do I make it show this toolbar when running from a menu?
Thanks
MartinSorry, I didn't see your reply before.
I think the problem could be that you specify No_Replace. This means that [Oracle Forms will keep the default menu module of the calling form active for the called form|http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/forms/10g/topics/f1_help/builta_c/callform.html?tp=true].
You should look into using the FORMS_PATH variable instead of using the full path to the form, it's not essential but it's more flexible. On earlier versions this is FORMS90_PATH, FORMS60_PATH etc, and is set in the .ENV file (assuming you're on webforms). -
How to capture error messages for BCP when running through XP_CMDSHELL
XP_cmdshell returns 0 as success when running BCP that causes insertion failure for any records (failure because of truncation, data type mismatch etc.)
One way is to capture output message in temp table and can parse the messages. but I am looking for some direct methods.Hi Naveen Raikwar,
We can use insert/execute syntax to insert error output to a file, here is a good article, please see:

And here is a similar thread, please refer to:

"file not found" error in VI Logger when running an imported VI Logger task
I'm having trouble getting all of my imported tasks to run in VI Logger.
I'm using VI Logger 2.0, with an SCXI-1100. The data acquisition tasks I import run fine. One of the VI Logger tasks I've imported runs OK, but the other one gives an error:
"Engine Error!
Error Code = 7
LabView: File not found. The file may have been moved or deleted, or the file path might be incorrectly formatted for the OS."
If I create a new VI Logger task, the new task works OK. And my 1st VI Logger task to be imported works OK. So I know my setup mostly works. But our company has never been able to figure out importing tasks very well, so I'm looking for help.
Question 1: What file is LabView looking for? I've checked my Export path and database path, and they are identical in both the working task and the non-working task.
Question 2: Where else might I look for the difference between the 2 VI Logger tasks? Neither task uses any weird characters in the name, both have analog input channels and calculated channels. And I've mixed and matched the data acquisition tasks with no change (the good VI Logger task will run with either data task, the bad VI Logger task won't run with either data task), so I'm pretty sure the problem is in the VI Logger task, and not the data task. I've also tried importing the 2nd task on its own, as a separate import function, but that gave the same error.
Thanks for the help in advance,
JakeHi Spex,
I can import the VI Logger task OK (from another PC running VI Logger 2.0), but I can't run the task. I've attached the file. The "1 channel" task runs OK. The "x-probe" task starts, takes 1 or 2 data points, then hangs for a few seconds, then pops up the "file not found" error. The data acquisition taks run OK, so I don't think they're the problem.
This file I've attached includes 2 good data tasks ("1 channel" and xprobe"), 1 good VI Logger task ("1 channel"), and my non-working VI Logger task ("x-probe", which works fine on the PC it was exported from).
I have also tried exporting the non-working VI Logger task on its own, and it still imports OK, but still doesn't run, and gives the same error.
Thanks,
Jake

SyncToy 2.1 Can't Find NAS Folder When Run From Task Scheduler
I'm using SyncToy 2.1 to keep two WIN7 computers and a Synology DS414j NAS drive in sync. I have several folder pairs configured, some between the two PC's and three between one PC and the NAS drive. I have a task set up for automatic syncing. The problem
is SyncToy can't find the destination folders on the NAS drive if it's run from Task Scheduler. If I run SyncToy manually, everything works fine. I've even tried opening the command prompt and running the exact same program Task Scheduler is running (SyncToyCmd.exe
-R), and it works perfectly. But when Task Scheduler runs the task, it fails to find the NAS folders with the following error message:
SYNC: 08/21/2014 14:12:26:140: *** Failed to execute folder pair Downloads to NAS. Could not locate folder \\DISKSTATION\Downloads\.
I've been looking for days for a solution and have not found anyone with this problem. Any ideas?Hi Texxxas,
Apparently the problem is not with SyncToy, it is with Task Scheduler. If you have had Task Scheduler work for you in the past, then I don't have an answer for that. I have never been able to get Task Scheduler to work correctly with SyncToy and a NAS drive.
I have found that for some reason it works with USB external HDD's but will not work with a network connected hard drive. The same bug exists in Win8.1 as well. However, I have since found a third party task scheduler that works perfectly with SyncToy and
my NAS drive. It is called System Scheduler by Splinterware. The free version only works when you are logged in but they have a paid version that runs as a service and will execute without being logged in. This has solved my problem. -
JAVA_HOME not set when running a task via CRON
On my Solaris 11 server I have created an entry in the root user CRON tab to launch a groovy based application every weekend. The application runs fine under a non-root user. When run by CRON however, the following error message gets emited:
groovy: JAVA_HOME not set and cannot find javac to deduce location, please set JAVA_HOME
Which is weird, as I have the following lines at the end of my /etc/profile file:
JAVA_HOME=/usr/jdk/instances/jdk1.7.0
export JAVA_HOME
GROOVY_HOME=/usr/local/bin/groovy-2.1.3
export GROOVY_HOME
PATH=${PATH}:${GROOVY_HOME}/bin:${JAVA_HOME}/bin
export PATH
Please advice me where to look for the cause of this problem.
Thank you in advance,
DusanI have the following command
/usr/local/bin/groovy-2.1.3/bin/groovy /usr/local/bin/backup/prune_old_backups.groovy
How do I add the JAVA_HOME variable into it?

Error 404 -- NOT FOUND when running a form in form 11g
Hi All,
I got this problem when I run the forms using internet explorer.
I work on Forms 11g which uses weblogic 10.3 for web deployment of the forms.
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
Can any one tell me where it went wrong.
ThanksLet's start by clearing up some confusion.
PORTS
In version 11.1.1.x here are how the common ports are defined by default:
1. HTTP Server - 8888
2. WLS_FORMS - 9001
3. WLS_REPORTS - 9002
4. WLS Admin Server - 7001
So, if you understand how ports work in general, you should see that there are two ways to run a form. You can either go through HTTP Server or call WLS_FORMS directly. This means that both of the following would work, although one would be a direct path and the other would route the request through the HTTP Server:
<li>http://ie1fdtfc5zl1s:9001/forms/frmservlet?config=frmdemo
<li>http://ie1fdtfc5zl1s:8888/forms/frmservlet?config=frmdemo
Port 7001, will always be the Admin Server port by default for the Classic domain. By default, the only thing you can do from here is access EM or WLS Console.
As for the tns issue, by default, both the Builder and runtime will expect to find tnsnames.ora in the Instance Home \config so be sure you are adding the correct entries to the correct file.
You can hard code a path to the file which you prefer be used by setting TNS_ADMIN in default.env (e.g. TNS_ADMIN=C:\Oracle\mytnsdirectory). This will apply only to running forms and not the Builder.
Also, here is something which often is confusing to many people.... just because you launched your form from the Builder does not mean that the running form has anything to do with the Builder at that point. In other words, when you click on the RunForm button in the builder all you are doing is passing a url to a browser. The browser and the form are not using any of the Builder's settings except those which may have been passed in the URL (e.g. username/password). ALL running forms are considered "runtime". This means all of the environment configuration information for a running form will need to be set in default.env. The Builder, on the other hand will rely on the System variable, Windows Registry (or shell if on Unix). -
Error in deployed compoents when running diagnostics & support desk tool
when I run netweaver Business Explorer diagnostics & support desk tool
I got error in "deployed components".
the message says:
"The SCA 'BI-BASE-S' (7.00 SPS 9, patch level #0) is a invalid combination of version/support package with your WebAS ABAP system (7.00 19)"
the solution says
"Ensure that both your WebAS Java and your WebAS ABAP have a valid combination of version and support package stack level. Please note that beginning from BI SP 11, the versioning scheme of BI ABAP SPs has changed"
then I was referred to note 1013369 and 1163789. then which SCA file SPS/patch do I need for ABAP SPS19?
what do I need to do? and how do I do this? my basis guy need advice.
GeorgeHello George,
To correct this issue ensure that both your WebAS Java and your WebAS ABAP have a valid combination of version and support package stack level.
Also you can check the note 1013369 - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI - intermediate Support Packages
and check the compatibility table.
I hope that this can help you.
Kind regards
Diego Ferrary
