Validations transport request

Hi All
I have created a validation, but I didn't got the transport request no.
Please let me know how to transfer the transport the validation or how to create the transport reqest for my validation.
Best regards
Madhavi

Hi
Keep the cursor on validation you created (Not on step ,validation may have number of steps ex:-step 001 ,step 002 etc..) and from the menu select Validation-> Transport. Select all the check boxes and execute. Then it will prompt for new Request creation.
After creating  the Request go to SE09 to move the same to Quality server.Once it is moved to Quality Run the program RGUGBR00 to generate the ABAP Code for validation in Quality. The same need to be done in Production also.
Also i can say you , we can generate a transport request no. for the validation only but not for step.
So the same transport number will be valid for all the steps in the validation.
Hence we cant create a transport request no. for a step.

Venkat

  • Collecting INFOPACKAGE in Transport request individually

    Hi ALL:
While collecting infopackage in Transport request individually(Flow is Infosources> Tools> Object Catalog Entry), it is not prompting to enter the valid transport request number(after entering the valid package name).
Can anyone suggest me how to get the screen that prompts to enter the valid transport request number.
    Thanks

Here is the steps to collect objects under transport request:
    1. rsa1->transport connection
    2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects'
    3. then choose your infocube and 'transfer'
    4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'
    5. after objects collection finished, create request. Repeat the same steps with grouping 'in dataflow before'
    6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.
    7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.
    8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.
    9. If everything is ok, release your request and ask your basis/security guy to move to QA.
    OR
When you will create any object and save it, system will ask you to save under transport request and you can either save it under your transport request or can create new request.
    Hope this helps..

  • Validation on Transport Request Description

I want to put some validation on the transport request description.
Please let me know the procedure.

When you want to use existing transports to configure your process rather than re-keying in the configuration. However, I cannot imagine why you would want to detail your configuration this way.
Maybe when you want to provide a level of confusion as to how the system was configured? It's sort of similar to when you put a BC Set on the Config tab. Without a document telling you what the BC Set is doing it kind of makes it hard to see the big picture.

  • Import steps not specific to Transport Request

    Hi all,
I need to move 5 Released Transport Request as "Local Change Requests" to another SAP installation.
I followed two guides to do this:
SAP BASIS / ABAP - How to Export and Import an External Change Request - YouTube
How to copy Repository Objects between non-connected SAP systems - ABAP Development - SCN Wiki
However I have problems creating the Change Request that contains all my requests: if I generate it as Local Change Request it is not available on cofiles and data folders.
So I created a new Virtual System called M02 and I created a standard consolidation transport link between my original system M01 and the virtual system M02.
Then I created a new TRANSPORT OF COPIES Transport Request and I selected as target system M02. All objects are correctly added to the new request and the validation is correctly performed.
However when I release the request on the SOURCE server I get the following error:
    M01#######            My Request Name
    M01        System M01
Checks at Operating System Level         05.03.2014 16:48:34    (0) Successfully Completed

Selection for Import                     05.03.2014 16:48:47    (0) Successfully Completed
Import steps not specific to transport request
"Import steps not specific to transport request" expanded as:
Feedback after export or import 05.03.2014 16:48:48    (0) Successfully Completed
I get this message even if I generate the new Change Request from a single Change Request (the first one that we released).
The cofiles and data files are correctly generated, however the IMPORT on the TARGET server returns an error (invalid data package)
My question is: is the "Import steps not specific to transport request" message correct, or should I modify something? Why am I getting this message?
    Thank you

    Hi Chinna,
Its a warning message you can ignore that... if you want to see what exactly the reason for warning  in SE09 --> select the released request --> click the Transport Log Ikon --> select the warning message and click the spects Ikon --> go on expanding you can find the warnings of Objects  in Yellow...
    Hope this helps,

    now my queries are:
1.is it enuf if i create a link between or even shud i create som transport routes between the newly added system from other domain and the existing domain
2.i am not able to see the STMS configuration in solution manager system.ie in my ECC5.0 system( domain ctrller)if i goto STMS->Overview menu-> transport routes i see the configuration, which i cannot see by logging  into solution manager and wentto STMS->Overview menu-> transport routes i dont see

  • Substitution rule created, NO transport request generated automatically?

    Hello Everyone..Good day!
Have searched the PS forum, but in vain .. Can anyone suggest why system is not automatically creating a transport request for new substitutions created in IMG as I  need to transfer the same to other systems thru transport system with a TR. Should a TR be created manually in this case??? Is this a normal behavior in case of customization for substitutions in PS.
    Regards
    Murad

    Hi Ahmed,
Can you please check SCC4 transaction for know the configuration parameter for No transports allowed is set or not?
such this is the standard behavior in case of OPSI and OPSN validation and substitution. & its client based task to have to do manual in all client system.
why we avoid substitution by transport Request? there are following reason to avoid
1.Class ZV messages are not transportable
2.Repaired objects cannot be included in dev./correction.

  • No system in the system landscape exports transport requests

    Hi gurus,
We are trying to implement the Change Request Management scenario in
    Solution Manager 4.0 SP12 in a POC.
The TMS are created with Solution Manager as Controller and with the settings are correct.
We have created a Maintenance Project with the following landscape :
system1 - Client 100 as Development System - Type of Rol "Source System"
system2 - Client 200 as Quality System - Type of Rol "Target System"
system2 - Client 100 as Production System - Type of Rol "Production System"
In the Change Request tab, when we check "Activate Change Request Management" checkbox, the following error is shown:
"System system2-100 is to be changed in a Solution Manager project, but no
system in the system landscape exports transport requests which are
    imported into this system."
    What is happening? Any idea??
    Thanks

The reason may be, that your "POC" is not valid due to the fact, that you use "clients" and not "systems" to transport
What you can try to verify that is - take out the QA client/system out of the transport route and try then to activate just with DEV --> PRD.
We wanted to setup something similar in the past and TMS failed to get configured properly - due to exact that reason.

  • Whats the diff between copying a Transport request and Importing a request?

    Hi gurus,
Can some one explain me the difference between copying a transport request between clients and importing transport request between clients? say for eg: difference between copying a transport request containing a datasource being copied from client 100 to client 200 and importing the same request from client 100 to client 200?... When do we follow such scenario's?
    thanks.
    kishore

    Hi Kishore,
A request copy applies only for customizing (client dependent) objects.
A request tracks object modifications since its last transport. if the object is created in source system and included in a transport request, when it is transported to another system, it will create the object in target system. Then if you modify the  object, it will include modifications since last transport.
As i said, a request copy is only valid for customizing objects. This is entries in tables, you will see that you have two kind of requests, customizing and workbench. Workbench objects are client independent, so request copy doesn't applies.
it's very important to keep the order of requests when you transport and also not to delete requests in any system.
Hope this helps (and hope it is clear, if you have any doubt, just ask!).
    Regards,
    Diego

  • Validation Transport

i have created validation and now i want to transport it to PRD and i follow
    Menu>Validation>Transport
and i got the below Screen here i want to know which one i have to Select the BOX
    logical Rule
    transport sets
    Message
    Message Class
    Boolean Class
    tell me the process clearly

T-code GGB0, position the cursor on the validation you have to transport and in the menu choose "Validation / transport".
A new screen appears, with the selected validation name and all validation information flagged that can be transported (Its up to you which you are choosing) you can leave all boxes checked.
If you tick "execute" enter a workbench request number/create a new one, tick "enter" the objetcs to be transported are included in the transport request.

  • Move Transport request to target with different Sps

    Hi All,
This is a very basic question. Just want to clear myself.
We have released some transports after applying NW 700 Ehp1. Can we move these transport to systems with NW 700 Sp16 (ie, w/o Enhp1) ?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Such transports are technically possible, but inconsistencies can occur between the versions of the transported objects. For example if you first import the Support Packages in the development system and then change an object with a transport request, the version of the transport request is valid there. If you first import the transport request in the subsequent system and then the Support Packages, the version of the Support Packages is active there.
    Jusy giving another small illustration
As an example, your development system is running a higher support package level then your acceptance and/or production. If an ABAP developer creates or modifies a function which uses functionality (pieces of code) brought into the system by a support package which is not available in the acceptance or production system, this function is no longer going to work after it has been transported to those systems.

  • How to recall Transport request

    Hi All,
Recently we have moved an transport request of an validation to production which has changed all the sets contents in that particular comapnay code in the production. Please help us to retrive the data as it is in the production  befor the transport request is moved.
Please help me out in solving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Nandu

I believe you're asking about retrieving the actual data content of the tables prior to the erroneous transport?  It sounds like the objects transported to production destroyed vital data?  If so, your title is quite misleading.
If it happened yesterday, perhaps Basis could help by restoring tables, but that is rarely ever a solution; the system is so integrated that that could result in "widowed" or "orphaned" entries in other tables. And, restore would certainly result in more lost data from logistics/FI/other modules.
Perhaps there's change management turned on so that you can see the data values in the tables before the transport?  Probably not, though, if your program wrote directly to the tables.  If not, one must, via SAP transaction, put back the data values that were destroyed manually, which will no doubt be a very tedious and painful process.
This situation demonstrates why we should avoid writing programs that directly update database tables.   Best practice is to utilize BAPIs, or Call Transaction technology, etc.,  to utilize SAP's programming to update tables, and then only after complete testing and data validation in a Quality/User Test instance.

  • Unable to capture the Data Source into a Transport Request

    Hi All,
We have a product hierarchy and we are using the data source :4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER for the hierarchy.
Now we need to transport this structure to the quality environment but we were not able to capture the datasource:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER into a transport request.
When ever we activate the data source:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER it is asking for the Package and the Transport Request Number. If we give these details and save it, data source is not getting captured in the request, only the "bject Directory Entry" is getting captured.
Can someone please guide me on how to capture the datasource under "Data Sources in BW" in a transport request.
    Regards,
    Sachin Dehey.

    Hi Sachin,
Hierarachy datasource is not captured as Attributes and Text Datasource. So what ever you have done is correct.
What ever is captured in Object Directory Entry is correct. So go ahead with your transports, once transport is done check the Hierarchy Infopackage with Available OLTP hierarchies and load the data.
Most important thing first see that the all Master & Transactional Datasources are transported in R/3 Dev to QA to PRD
In BW, datasources are not transported, only their replica is transported.
Transportation of Datasource is done in R/3. Only their replica is transported in BW.
So wht ever you have done till now is correct. So go ahead.
While attaching Hierarchy Datasource it is captured only in "Object Directory Entry"
    Regards,
    Vishnu.

  • Error while assigning objects to Transport Request

    Hi All,
while  assigning a Transfromation to a Treq i am getting an error saying
Object '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available in version 'A'
    Message no. RSO252
    Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (in transport request ROUT) of type 'Routine' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
    System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Kindly advice how to rectify this error

    Hi,
You see the which infoobejct contains that routine and first collect that infoobejct and transport it then transport Transfromation. I hope you are missing some Routines while collecting the Transformations into request.
    See OSS Notes:
Note 613581 - Transfer structure does not exist in version 'D'
    Note 508921 - P11:Content transfer:RSO 252 or RSO 296:InfoObject

  • Error while Transporting Request

    Hi All,
we have ECC 6.0 on Unix environment.
we had copied a production client with group selection, as we wanted all the three system PRD,DEV,QLT in sync.
the export was succesfully done.i copied Cofiles & Datafiles which are generated in DEV & Quality server, then i add request no in transport queue.  the time when i copied transport request was not releasing from development.we checked the destination it was full so we removed the old request. then req is releasing.
after that i deleted the Cofile & datafile from OS level of DEV & QLT & trying to delete the reques from request queue. it is deleted but when im refreshing the queue its coming back in the queue.
while transporting other request its giving me error.
    please help out me.

    Hi Aasmi Gawas,
Please could you post the error?
We don't have a crystal ball to see the errors in your system...

  • Error while importing a transport request

    Hi,
I installed two SAP ECC6 EHP6 IDES sytems and created a transport route between them.
When I try to import a Transport request I get the following error:
    HALT: inconsistent preview tables E071K_STR (size=344) and E071KS_PREVIEW (size=128)
Please help me find a solution to this problem.

    Hello Occoro,
There are multiple steps you need to do, I am not sure if the following note is applicable to your version of SAP.
1730009 - Import queue does not work
Downloading R3trans and tp is similar to downloading kernel.
Download the versions relevant to your SAP Kernel 7.20, the latest patch should be available at http://service.sap.com/swdc
In the same area where you get SAP Kernels, you should be able to get files such as:
    R3trans_xxx-xxxxxx.SAR
    tp_xxx-xxxx.SAR
Download these files, uncar them to your kernel directory typically /sapmnt/<SID>/exe
Refer to the following note for more details:
19466 - Downloading SAP kernel patches
    Good luck.

    Siddhesh
