Valuation Difference is blocking the release of Credit Memo to FI

Hi,
We had created an Invoice on 03rd May with billing date 25th April, and then released this invoice to Finance.
Now we have created a Credit memo for that invoice, and trying to release to Finance but system is giving the following error "Reversal of document is not possible" .
In debugging, we found that in accounting document some valuation difference is there, that is the why system is giving the error.
In credit memo as well as in invoice same exchange rate has been maintained.
Can anybody help in this please?

This is may be because of the valuation difference in the Materrial....Because, billing happend in previous month and may be as a month end process material valuation might happen (costing run).
If it is the case, VPRS is changed at the time of Credit memo.
In this situation, you can  cancel the invoice in SD.

  • Sale Order Credit Block due to open credit memo

    Dear All,
    System is blocking sale order for open items(credit). And the only open item is credit memo.
    Can we avoid credit note to be considered as open item?

    Do not think this is possible in standard.
    I would suggest the following way.
    Currently system is giving a message during sales order creation . right?
    Ask your abaper to find an EXIT before that point.
    There write a code to exclude CREDIT MEMO document types from BSEG of the customer code.
    It is possible as i have worked in similar requirement.
    Check and revert back.

  • Setting up multiple billing blocks for a CMR - Credit Memo Request

    I am trying to set a billing block for a credit memo request.  The item category in VOV7 configuration only allows you to set one.  I need to be able to set any of them and for it to block.  If we do not use one; the system allows the credit memo to get created.  If we choose the one that we configured in VOV7 it allows us to only use that one.  The client needs to be able to select any billing block from the drop down when creating a credit memo request in VA01 instead of just one specific one.  Is this possible?  If so, where would I do this?

    Surprising! when a billing block is applied in the sales document, then the system will NOT allow to create the billing document(in your case credit memo). Can you check in t.code OVV3, the billing blocks are assigned to billing types? After assigning, create a new document and test. The path is SPRO->Sales and distribution -> billing->billing documents ->define blocking reasons for billing->assign blocking reasons to billing types.

    You can link AR Invoice and AR Credit memo through internal reconciliation for that customer.
    Go to banking --> bank reconciliation --> Automatic Reconciliation --> internal reconciliation.

            User has created one A/R Credit Memo on base of A/R Invoice, but he has entered wrong Qty. 1.5 MT instead of 1.00 MT
    which will be the best option to solve this issue.

    How r u?
    As we know we can not create Standalone AR Invoice if material is excisable. But you can create Delivery first incorrect credit memo.
    If Material is non excisable then you can go for stand alone invoice but if you try to do this system will stop you from doing this.....

  • Opiton to choose bank accounts at the time of Credit Memo Request

    We have maintained multiple banks for same customer in customer master. Our requirement is to have an option to choose a particular bank account at the time when a credit memo request is created. The customer wants different credit notes to go to different bank accounts. We do not want to do it at the time of payment as this becomes quite manual. Is there any way we can do this at the time of entry of Credit Memo request in VA01 ?

    I don't think you can have this option in the standard functionality.
    Because account assignment will takes place based on these combination
    Chart of accountsCondition typeMaterial account assignment groupCustomer account assignment groupAccount key.
    So you can't assign different G/L with same combination, if you want different G/L accounts then you need to change either one the key combination.
    Other wise you can have different credit memo types based on the Bank accounts
    -->Generate the condition table with billing type as one of the key field.
    -->Maintain access sequence for that, assign to condition type.
    -->Now define and assign the new account determination procedure for the credit memo process.
    -->Finally you assign the Bank G/L account with bill type(I,e Credit memo type) is as one of the key combination.
    But make sure that you have maintained proper copy control settings for all these credot memo types from credit memo request or other reference document.
    You can try with some user extis with the help of ABAPer,
    The following user exits are available in report SAPLV60B for transfer to accounting
    USEREXIT_ACCOUNT_PREP_KOMKCV (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ)
    In this user exit additional fields for account determination that are not provided in the standard system are copied into communication structure KOMKCV (header fields).
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_001: Change the header data in the structure acchd
    You can use this exit to influence the header information of the accounting document. For example, you can change the business transaction, "created on" date and time, the name of the person who created it or the transaction with which the document was created.
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_002: Change the customer line ACCIT
    You can use this exit to change the customer line in the accounting document. This exit is processed once the ACCIT structure is filled in with data from document header VBRK.

    Our requirement is to close credit memo request, We already cancelled the subsequent document i.e. billing. In credit memo request we are trying to close it by putting "Reason of Rejection", but instead of closed is coming as " Being Process". I already did the required configuration at Item Level for G2N in VOV7, but still the status is "Being Process".

  • Reversing miro quantity at the time of credit memo.

    pls suggest me a solution about the miro issue ,here i will explain the scenario.
    Ex:PO was created for the quantity of 100, GR  and Invoice was done for  100 quantity.
    After invoice has been posted, 30 quantity was returned to vendor by movt type 122 from MIGO.
    For this returned quantity of 30,we will have to raise a credit memo.
    So normally from MIRO screen,selecting credit memo option&  PO no. was entered,then system picks full quantity of 100&corresponding amount,
    we use to change the quantity of 30 & corresponding amount manually.
    **Is there any solution,so that system has to propose the quantity &amount for credit memo option in MIRO screen.

    Do one think....take help of ABAP consultant..define the below scenerio to him...ask whether its possible or not...
    Use the table EKBE, where system saves all the purchasing data ie. from PO till IR...
    so, now when you have returned the 30 pcs, the table would have got updated for those returns as well...
    So, ask the consultant to trace returns quantities/values (add all if there are partial returns as well) and reflect it in the given field in the MIRO doc..

    Hope so you know all the setting regarding credit memo customizing.
    Otherwise use the standard one.
    Regarding authorization go to PFCG and create a new role.
    In that you can maintain the authorization regarding the minimum credit limit.
    Please check out this setting.

    Hi,
    In standard SAP system, Credit memo is created with reference to
    1) Credit memo request
    2) Return order 
    3) Invoice correction request.
    Before releasing these docs for Credit memo creation, check whether the
    value is non-zero.
    You can put a billing block(Check credit memo) on these documents if the value is ZERO.
    And the billing block will only be removed if the value of the doc is non-zero,and a Credit
    memo can be raised from these doc.
    Second alternative is to check the value in prior request doc by ABAP enhancement,
    and if it zero do not create the request/document.

    Did any one has ever faced an issue, whereby AP Credit Memo and Good Return creates discrepancy between journal entry and the stock audit report?
    Here is the scenario:

    The difference is actually due to the moving average, but the strange part is why the difference is not posted in the journal entry, in the Price different account?
    This makes the stock account amount to be different from the Trial Balance and the Stock Audit Report.
    And this is applied also on the Good Return transaction.

    Price & Item cost are different.
    while making goods return , Direct AP Credit Note, Sales Delivery, Direct AR Invoice, stock is going outside.
    In these transactions Journal entry will happen for Item cost and not Item sales or Purchase price.
    Please enable item cost field in line level and check whether above formulae is matching with Item, cost field.
    Then what is the importance of price in these documents??
    Price is the agreed selling or purchase price for trading with Customer and supplier.
    In your example
    You are returning back material worth 105000(as per moving average price), but supplier is supposed to give only you 102,000.

    Credit Memo issued for the price difference or if over billed . Credit memo always assoicated with Quantity and price.
    Rebate Credit Memo:
    Rebate credit memo is issued for the accruals ( Discount amount disbursed to the customers based on agreement).
    Rebate credit memo cannot be created manually in VA01. Accrual amount is calculated by the system based on the settle periods maintained in the rebate aggreement however accrual amt can be changed manually in Aggreement.
