Variable Height for an Iframe on External server

Our company is developing an internal website. we are using
extensis portoflio to manage a showcase area and moveable type for
a blog area. On the pages where the portfolio content will be
pulled in we are using an iframe (this content lives on the same
server as the webpage), I am able to get the height of the iframe
for this page to resize depending on the content, in Firefox only
in Explorer it cuts some of the iframe off. Can anyone help with
this first.
Secondly and almost more IMPORTANTLY is the blog. I cannot
get the height of the iframe to resize depdening on the content as
it is on another server. I have tried every method out
there!!!!!!!!!!!! Am at my wits end. The external server seems to
be the issue, it's not even external it's just another server in
our domain--**UGH**

cross-platform/browser solution
there's an example in dynamicdrive.com that works "almost"
fine in IE &
FF (in FF it shows the vertical scroll bar while resizing)

Iframes aren't a good idea. Is there anyway you can move the
site to the
same server as the blog?

How to set the variable height for TileLayout

Hi,
I am using TileLayout in <s:List> component . TileLayout takes the maximum height of the children and draw the same height for rest of the children in all rows. Instead, I want to have all the rows with various heights if their children have different heights.
I know there is variable height property in <mx:List> component but which is not there in its spark counterpart. Can you please help me with this issue??

The spark TileLayout class lays out all of its elements in equally sized "cells". Cells of variable sizes is not currently supported.

I have an external server that stores all my movies and music, is there a way to stream it to my apple tv? If not is there a way I can link the folders to itunes (without downloading files to computer) and will that make them view-able for the apple TV?

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

Creation of Server Proxy for Message interface with External Defination

I am getting a problem while generating a server proxy for the inbound interface . The request message used in the inbound interface is a external definition which is uploaded using a XSD file. The XSD file was supplied by a third party which is having very high complex strucuture and used lot of abstract data types in the design. When i tried to generate the proxy in the R/3 system (Transaction SPROXY) for the inbound interface i am getting following error.

Diagnosis
In a message interface you can use messages from different sources:
Message types and fault message types edited in the Enterprise Services Repository
Messages imported into the Enterprise Services Repository (external definitions, RFC, IDoc)
In the current message interface, message types from different sources have been used. Since messages from these different sources must be handled differently during proxy generation, such a mixture of messages within a message interface is not possible.
System Response
The interface cannot be generated.
Procedure
Change the interface definition accordingly in the Enterprise Services Repository.
Please guide me, how to generate the proxy for the interface with external defination message. I could nt geneate manullay, because it is having very high complexity and its a big structure.

Hi,
i. Import your message schemas from external definitions, or RFCs or IDocs from SAP systems. These definitions already contain data types.
ii. Create a message interface and reference the messages of the external definition, or the RFC or IDoc message.

Mail does not retain correct external server path for Exchange Server '07 even when "automatically detect and maintain account settings" is unchecked. Advice?

Mail keeps resetting the external server path for an Exchange server '07 account when the program is closed and reopened. This happens even though "automatically detect and maintain account settings" is unchecked. To reset to the correct setting I need to disable the account, make the change and save with the account disabled, close Mail, reopen Mail, and enable the account. Then the settings are maintained and Mail works great... until Mail is closed and reopened again. At that point the server path reverts to an incorrect setting. Anyone else experiencing this? Advice? I don't think this is a problem with the Exchange server because this problem did not happen with OS X Mavericks.

Open Keychain Access in Applications/Utilities
Search for your Dreamhost accounts. There should be two entries (incoming, outgoing) for each account.
It's not uncommon to find old entries. You might want to delete all and start clean.The Keychain isn't smart and will keep all old entries when you add/change a password.
While you are in the Keychain run Keychain First Aid, Under Keychain Access in the Menu bar.
Open Mail
Open Connection Doctor.
If you see red for the account, enter the password again.
If you continue to have problems, delete the account then add it back.

FTP_CONNECT failed for SAPFTP from WD4A to external Server

Hi experts,
this is a challange to you.
He do have a WD4A application runnig on a BI with SAP NetWeaver 2004s and a SAP BASIS 700 Level 21 highest Support package SAPKB70021.
The application runs well and only some strange behaviors in CZ and HU we have obtained. But this is not the Question i will ask:
For an excel template download we will use at an external MS Server2003. We want to sent the data string which has to
be displayed in excel via FTP to this server (The server will convert the data string with makros and send it back zu WD4A).
So far so good. But every time we tried to open the connection with FTP_CONNECT we the communication failed.
What do we do exactly?
1. Event through Button
1. Creating the data string on Eventhandler method (View)
2. using a Function Call from Eventhandler to start the file transfer.
3. Parameters are user, pwd, host, destination ...
4. with HTML_SCAMBLE hint pwd
5. call function 'FTP_CONNECT'
The connection failed.
WE DO CALL the Function correct, cause testing FTP_CONNECT with Program RSFTP002 the connection works.
IF we start the Function Call we use inside the WD4A outside the WD4A, the connection works.
We do have an ITS Service which works on this Server. An RFC CALL to the ERP R/3 with the same Function Call fails also as the Call in BI.
Does anyone know, if there are technical limits to WD4A to use the connections to an external server via SAPFTP ? It is forbidden to mount the file system of the server directly on the SAP BI System.
Our Basis and Network guys would not find anything.
At least: WE do use an Excel download with templates without using the MS Server. Therefore we have problems with different MS Office Versions, Language and date display. Thats why we want to go the way above.

Screensaver always looks for external server when iPhoto event selected as screensaver.

When I have iPhoto selected as a source for displaying pictures on screen saver, the screen saver always tries to connect to my external server although the photos are resident on the macbook HD. How can I change the default behaviour so it will not do this. If I am not a home the screensaver will not display any photos since it cannot connect to the server.

1. It's not a problem as you never ever access your photos in this way.
2. If you want to back up your original photos you do this via the Export function: File -> Export

3. None of this saves space on your HD. To do that you need to move your Library from the HD to the external:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
a. Quit iPhoto

Thanks for your reply, however, it is not working with Muse. I added the Javascript to the head section and adjusted iframe and it displays as a small square in the upper left hand corner, unable to view the whole page.

The purpose is to have an independent website run the blogging capabilities, since muse doesn't directly support blogging as of yet.
Since the site is on a different domain, I am running into cross domain issues and it won't get the height of the page. The methods that apparently work use php and I am unsure how that would work in muse, if at all.

I need to connect to an external non SAP server, from which i need to extract invoice files.
Invoice files are of two types:
1. .dat format files which contain invoice data
2. .PDF or .JPEG documents, which are supporting documents for those invoice.
My question are
1. How do i connect to the external server?
2. Do i have to do a FTP from SAP to that file server?
3. Do i have to fetch the .dat file using dataset statments?
4. What are the basis and network related activities involved to get connected to that external server?

Using FTP or RFC, BAPI are also possible to get the data from Non SAP server.

based on your company policy use FTP to transfer the data.

Hi Sumi,
You could do it so that you create a .bat or .cmd script to your server which does your ftp transfer.
To do this you must use sm69 to create a external operating system command which you can call from FM SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE. To SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE you the file you need to transfer as a parameter.
What happens is that your abap program passes the file to windows batch script (.bat .cmd) which will then do the transfer for you.
Here's a sample of ftp-script for windows:
echo open IP_ADDRESS_TO_YOUR_SERVER > c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo USERNAME>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp

Ok, this might be a bit trivial but if your server is unix/aix etc.. Instead of using batch script you must do a shell script.

How to connect to external server using router from VLAN's

Hi, I am newbie. I am trying to build network system in Packet Tracer.
Now I have such network layout.
I have different VLAN's Accounting and Sales. I have configured this using subinterface in router to allow computers from different vlan's communicate with each other. Everything works.
Let's assume that there are next subnets and VLAN's. Acct. VLAN (2) (ip's 172.168.0.1-172.168.0.254/24) and Sales VLAN (4) (ip's 172.168.1.1-172.168.1.254/24).
But I need to connect all this computers to the external server. That has ip , for instance 192.168.20.13/24. Like this.
I don't know hot to correctly configure router to make it possible for computers to connect to this server. I have connected switch to the another router interface. And than connected server to the switch and specified ip 192.168.20.13/24. Than I tried to set ip to the router interface from the same subnet like 192.168.20.22/24. So now router can communicate with server.
But how to allow computers to communicate with the server. Please help. I am newbie.

One question for you..How does the sales VLAN computers communicate with the accounting VLAN machines? It's through the inter-VLAN routing that you have already setup.
Communicating to the external server is also similar to this.
The computer's in the VLAN should be configured with the default gateway IP which is the the L3 sub-interface IP for that subnet.
Also, the external server needs to have a default gateway to communicate with other remote subnet. The default gateway of that server would be 192.168.20.22 which is the L3 interface for your external subnet.

I downloadad Apache Tomcat, and need to set enviromental variables for all users.
I tryed setenv commad, but it is not found.
for example # JAVA_HOME="/opt/jre1.6.0" Solaris remembers this variable only for one session and I need for all users permanently.
