Velocity Template that contains XML

I have found an annoying issue with .vm velocity template files that contain XML within JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 (SU3). The .vm file is being picked up as an XML file and XML validation is failing due to the velocity commands. This is stopping me building the application. The issue is due to the first line containing <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>.
I have a work around with the following as the first lines of .vm file.
#set($foo = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>')
$foo
Is there a way to associate .vm files with a velocity syntax checker such as the VelocityWebEdit plug in for eclipse? (https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=126011)

Preloaders tend to sit in the first few frames of a timeline,
If you are using any of the XML component objects then they
have to be also registered in the first frame so that their
respective bindings can be set before use.

  • Velocity Templates - output an XML File

    Greetings,
    I'm a bit stuck on finding a way to have a Servlet using Velocity Templates, output an XML file. I know how to set the mime type and all that jazz in the Velocity Template. My problem is that all templates seem to be wrapped with the .htm extension.
    Program flow is basically calling the template from a servlet and displaying the XML in the template.
    So, using Velocity templates is their a way to:
    a. change the file extension that is served
    b. any other way to accomplish having an XML file served from a template
    Thank you in advance!

    Try this code below:
    data  l_xml_table2  type table of xml_line with header line.
    W_filename - This is a Path.
      if w_filename(02) = '
        open dataset w_filename for output in binary mode.

  • Quering on blob fields that contain XML

    Hi All,
    I need to query on blob fields that contain XML data. So I wanna say give me XML docs where ELEMENT[@ATTRIBUTE='VALUE']. So, I need to be able to query on attributes. Is there any way to do that?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the attempt, but tried what you suggested and it will only pull records where the Asterisk is the ONLY character in that data field.
    Maybe I wasn't clear enough.
    I have in access of 200,000 records in KNA1, out of which some of them have one or more * values in the some of the fileds, eg: Comany ABC At XXXX road Workshop  is stored in the Name 1 field, I want all records like this where * is one of the characters in that field.
    May have to download the entire lot and use Excel to filter.

  • Issue with site template that contains a document library with a lookup column to another list

    I have a document library called Proposals with a lookup column in the same site called Document Categories (multiple values allowed).  It points to a list called document categories.  I have several sample documents in the Proposal Library that
    contain valid document categories.  When I save the site as a template and instantiate it, everything is fine.  However, when I remove the sample documents from the Proposal library and rebuild the site template, I can't get the  template to
    create another site.  I get an error Unable To Open Lookup List.
    I don't understand why I can instantiate a site from the template when there's sample data, but not when the document library containing the lookup column is empty.
    Does SharePoint 2010 site template support lookup columns?
    Why would it make a difference if the library is empty?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you created a site from the template with no files in the document library.
    I tested the same scenario per your post, and I can create a site from the template with no files in the document library with no errors.
    To solve this issue, I recommend to verify the things below:
    Did you save the site as a template with Include Content checked? If yes, I recommend to test if it works when saving the site as a template with Include Content unchecked.
    Test the same scenario with a new site to narrow the issue scope.
    I also recommend to check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
    To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.
    For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS.
    You can check the ULS log by the methods here:

  • Creating interMedia substring index on a CLOB that contains XML

    I have a CLOB column that has an existing XML_SECTION_GROUP index on certain tags within the XML content of the CLOB. (see script below)
    begin
    ctx_ddl.create_section_group('XMLDOC','XML_SECTION_GROUP');
    end;
    begin
    ctx_ddl.add_zone_section ('XMLDOC','title','title');
    ctx_ddl.add_zone_section('XMLDOC','keywords','keywords');
    ctx_ddl.add_zone_section('XMLDOC','author','author');
    end;
    create index xmldoc_idx on xml_documents(xmldoc)
    indextype is ctxsys.context
    parameters ('section group xmldoc') ;
    I have a requirement to search on the 'author' zone section by the first letter only. I figure a substring index is the way to go but I'm not sure of the syntax to create a substring index. Especially when I have already declared a SECTION_GROUP preference on this column and I would need to create a WORDLIST preference as well I think. Can someone help me out here?
    null

    Here is the answer from Oracle Text Help:
    "the main problem here is that you cannot apply that fancy substring
    processing just to the author section -- it will apply to everything,
    which will probably blow up the index size.
    Anything you do will require reindexing the documents, so you cannot
    really get around having to rebuild the index entirely.
    Here are various ways to tackle the problem:
    1. do nothing. Query just like: Z% WITHIN AUTHOR
    PRO: don't have to rebuild index
    CON: query is slow. some queries cannot be executed due to
    wildcard maxterms limits.
    2. create a wordlist preference with PREFIX_INDEX set to TRUE,
    PREFIX_MIN_LENGTH set to 1 and PREFIX_MAX_LENGTH set to 1.
    Query looks like: Z% WITHIN AUTHOR
    PRO: moderately fast query
    CON: must be on 8.1.7 or above
    get a lot of junk from words from other sections
    3. 2) as above, plus make AUTHOR, KEYWORDS, TITLE field sections
    PRO: faster query than 2)
    CON: field sections are less flexible w.r.t. nesting and
    repeating occurrences
    4. use a user_datastore or procedure_filter to transform the data
    so that <AUTHOR>Steven King</AUTHOR> becomes
    <AUTHORINIT>AIK</AUTHORINIT><AUTHOR>Steven King<AUTHOR>
    Use field section for AUTHORINIT and query becomes:
    AIK within AUTHORINIT (I used AIK instead of just K so that you
    don't have to make I and A non-stopwords)
    PRO: fastest query, smallest index
    CON: most work
    have to massage data so slows down indexing"

  • Flattening a PDF that contains an XML file

    Hi I am hoping someone can help me.
    We have a PDF document that contains an XML form. We are starting to utilize DocuSign software to electronically sign and route our forms. The problem is that this form cannot be converted in the DocuSign portal. We need a way to flatten the software once it has been completed and all information has been input into the form and sent to us by a faculty member. I have downloaded a couple of different JavaScript add ons and have tried them. One doesn't seem to do anything the other one UVSAR_selectiveFlatten.js attempts to flatten the form but then quits and pops up the message "Security settings or digital signatures in this file prevent flattening."
    When I look at the security settings under properties for the form it says "No Security" in the drop down box and there are no signatures in the form. I am attempting all of this on a blank form.
    Flattening or printing to PDF works ok on a PC but we have a few Mac users and that is where our problems are coming in. The only option to print to PDF is the little drop down box in the bottom left corner of the print dialog box that says save as PDF. When we try this it pops up the message, "Saving a PDF file when printing is not supported. Instead, choose File > Save." File>Save just saves a copy with all of the XML code, etc.
    The only other option we have found is to save the file as an image but this then breaks the file into 3 pages. We also don't want to print the form and then have to rescan it back in.
    Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do to flatten the image so that it could be easily uploaded to DocuSign.
    A link to the form is here: http://rgs.usu.edu/spo/files/uploads/forms/SP-01.pdf
    Any help or advice that you may have to offer will be greatly appreciated.

    Ok, this is an XML/XFA/Designer form.
    You cannot use JavaScript designed for Acrobat forms (Acroforms). I suspect that is the problem. You must develop JavaScript using the Designer JavaScript object model. Not sure if that even supports flattening, since it isn't really a PDF at all with all that XML stuff.

    Hi Everyone,
    I've been battling with this for a while and I'm getting nowhere. I'm attempting to install DPM 2012R2 onto a fresh VM with a local SQL installation. The setup is as follows:

    Enabled reporting servics on port 80 with the default URL
    DPM Installation does not throw any errors during the preinstall stage(The server passes all the checks)

    I've managed to get it to this stage. Originally I didn't have encryption keys or a listening port(which I fixed).

    Can you try following steps:
    If there are SSL certificates on your computer, by default SQL 2008
    installation configures HTTPS for reporting websites. When DPM tries to
    deploy reports on these websites it may fail if the reporting websites
    are not accessible (might be due to invalid/expired certificates). To
    workaround this, provided you do not require HTTPS for reporting websites do
    the following:
    1. Edit C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\SQL\MSRS10.MSDPMV3BETA1EVAL\Reporting
    Services\ReportServer\rsreportserver.config
    2. Set the SecureConnectionLevel to 0 if the current value is 2 (A value to
    2 means secure connection is required)
    3. Connect to SQL reporting service configuration manager and connect to the
    instance MSDPMV3BETA1EVAL
    4. Click on Web Service URL, click advanced and remove SSL identities
    5. Repeat the above for Report Manager URL
    6. Make sure report manager URL and web service URL are accessible with out
    any errors.
    6. Restart report server
    If that doesn't solve the problem, please try following steps:
    1. Open Start-> All programs->SQL server 2008->Configuration Tools->Report
    Server Configuration Manager
    2. Connect to the instance which the DPM is using to install.
    3. Browse Report Manager URL and web service url
    4. If report manager URL or web service url throws any error say 500 or 404
    fix the error. (Try also replacing machine name with localhost in url)
    5. Otherwise delete DPMReports folder (if present) using below instructions
    6. Restart reporting services
    7. Try DPM setup again.
    Deleting DPM reports:
    1. Open report manager URL in IE
    2. Click show details on right hand side
    3. Put a tick against DPMReports folder
    4. Click Delete button.

    I've run into a rather unique problem when trying to send an xml that contains the <![cdata[]]> tag to a soap service.  Without the tag the xml sends through without issue.  However, when I add the cdata tag within the xml, BizTalk immediately
    fails without even attempting to send to the service.  I receive the following error:
    "The published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found. This error occurs if the subscribing orchestration or send port has not been enlisted, or if some of the message properties necessary for subscription evaluation have not
    been promoted. Please use the Biztalk Administration console to troubleshoot this failure. "
    I have ensured that the send adapter is enlisted and started.
    This is on a BizTalk 2013 installation.
    Any and all help is appreciated!
    Thanks

    as per my understanding, if you use the
    <![cdata[]]> tag in sending message, BizTalk is not able to send the message as it is not matching with your send message schema that is why error  'The
    published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found.....'
    Please compare the message format or configured schema in send shape and message which suspended when
    used <![cdata[]]> tag used.

  • Mapping XML tags to paragraph styles that contain nested styles

    I am importing XML into InDesign (CS5.5) and the tag mapping to styles is working fine until I get to a paragraph style that contains a nested style.
    I have a sentence that starts with a number:
    1the dog runs fast.
    In InDesing properly styled looks like this:
         1  The dog runs fast.
    (tab)1(tab)The dog runs fast.
    The number is styled with a character style (Number) and the whole sentence is styled with a paragraph style (Sentence). In order to get the tabs in between the number, I have a nested style within the paragraph style (Sentence). This triggers the tabs when it hits the character style (Number) like this:
    Number up to 2 Tab Characters
    In XML, it looks like this
    <sentencetag><numbertag>1</numbertag>The dog runs fast.</sentencetag>
    Sentencetag is mapped to Sentence paragrph style and Numbertag is mapped to Number character style, but the nested style for the tabs are not displaying. I just get this in IND.
    1the dog runs fast.
    Everything works beautifully until I hit the nested styles, which I do need to get to work somehow. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    It sounds like your tab characters are actually disappearing from content in the XML. Jeff was responding to the fact that they need to be there, and you state that you originally had them in your document, but they are not showing up once imported through the XML.
    The tabs may be disappearing in the XML document due to the "TAB" character in your text editor not being a tab, or at least not properly-formed XML TAB equivalent, OR because you are not "importing whitespace elements" when you import your XML.
    Importing whitespace elements can wreak havoc on other things in your XML structure and styled layout within the Indesign document, so I would put the XML quivalent of TAB everywhere a tab should be in your XML, and make sure NOT to import whitespace (when importing XML using "Merge Content", select not to import whitespace items from the import options).
    I believe the XML friendly character code for a TAB character is "&#9;" or "&#09;" but have not tested this. Don't include quotes when adding the character code, just the ampersand, semicolon, and everything in-between.
    Also, sounds like your tags are mapping ok for you, so your XML should look something like:
    <sentencetag>&#9;<numbertag>1</numbertag>&#9;The dog runs fast</sentencetag>.
    It should't matter where you put the TAB character equivalent in relation to your nested tag.

  • Word 2007: Error when saving file that contains equations

    Using Microsoft Word 2007, version 12.0.6425.1000 with Service Pack 2
    I am a High School Math teacher, and when working on a document that contains a number of math equations. When I try to save the document, Word refuses to save. It displays the following error: "A file error has occurred. <filename>. OK",
    and I am unable to save the file.
    Reading the forum, I have found this to be a very common issue going back to 2009, but I have not seen a definitive solution or patch.
    I have found a workaround:
    Creat a new document
    Copy and paste from the corrupted doc each page, saving the new document after each page
    Until I hit the error, then I know the page that has the issue, and can usually narrow it down to a specific math equation. Nothing fancy just some basic math.
    Manually rewrite the equation in the new document and it will successfully save.
    But the issue has been occurring more and more frequently now and it is becoming very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    There has been a long time known issue with the equation editor.  it causes document corruption by "losing" XML tags.
    Apparently fixes for some causes of these problems have been rolled out in Windows updates. But the problem still exists.  You've got it easy. A lot of people running into this problem are students working on documents, like a thesis, that is on a short
    deadline ...
    One identified cause of these problems is editing equations
    after you created them.  DON'T DO THAT!
    If you have to change an existing equation, create a new correct one and delete the old one.
    Simpler fix. Don't use Word (or Office) for creating equations.  Find some other product, like a pencil.
    Over in the "Answers" forum there are a couple volunteers, Tony Jollans and Jeeped
    , who have been manually fixing this type of error if you post a new question or add a reply to one of the ongoing discussions on this issue.
    Sorry.
    If you want to invest the time to figure out what your error looks like you may be able to come up with a fix other than copy /paste method.
    Can't open Word File because of end tag/start tag mismatch error... XML Tag
    - XML Error – Fix It tool - “The name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag”
    This error is caused when Word either “forgets” to write an XML tag, or writes them in the wrong order.
    Tony Jolans was the first person that I heard of with home made tool to fix the problem. Now MS has released a Fix It for one specific variation of the problem.
    If the tools don’t fix your problem, the file will have to be fixed manually, repairing the tag order.
    The Fix It article notes that the document is still in a fragile state. You have to do some addition fixing to avoid repeats of the problem.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2528942- FIX IT
    This fix it will work for one specific tag error where there are equations and graphics in the same paragraph AND Office 2010 SP1 has not been applied.
    Preventative suggestions
    <snip Jeeped>
    I don't think that anyone can completely stop editing equations, but pre-planning them should avoid unnecessary edits.
    While I have no concrete, reproducible evidence that editing equations is a cause, I have made these empirical observations:
    I cannot state precisely what many of the DOCX XML tags do, but basic XML syntax rules would suggest that code like:                   <m:oMath><m:e><m:ctrlPr/></m:e></m:oMath>
    ... does nothing at all since it closes everything it opens and offers no content. It looks to me that this is a result of deleting one or more characters from an equation.
    While Word 2010 reports these as a problem at:                  Line: 2  Column: 0 ... Word 2007 will still report the actual position, e.g.:
     Line: 2  Column: 2726981 I keep a copy of Word 2007 side-by-side Word 2010 for no other purpose. It's the only Office 2007 program on my computer. This seems like it is actually a step backwards from a resolution since Word 2010 no longer seems
    to be able to parse its own error.
    Whether the syntax is truly useless and non-effective for any intent or purpose is actually beside the point. The syntax passes conformity tests and the DOCX
    should launch. Why an 85 page document is 'broken' due to a few empty XML formatting tags while retaining legal syntax structure is beyond me.
    I try to pass along the area that the problem was in and several times people have remarked that the area I report was the place they were last making modifications/deletions to equations (not additions) when the no-load corruption
    occurred.
    When no indication from the OP is offered on what was worked on last, the Line: 2 Column: 0 corruption often comes within a formula at the very end of the unfinished Word/Document.xml file and it may be inferred
    that this was the last place being worked upon.
    The corrupt DOCX files I've worked on are very commonly at the last stages of development with a large complex document. While there couldn't be a worse time for a corruption to appear, it would seem that small edits to existing content are causing
    it and not large scale new content generation.
    Not one of these points is a definitive 'smoking gun', but put together they seem to indicate
    formula editing and not formula writing as a cause for the Line: 2 Column: 0 corruption. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is most often a duck.
    </snip>
    Copy “True Autosave Macros for Office” to this place in reply
    Let me fix it myself
    If you are familiar with editing XML, you can try to fix the problem yourself by correcting the sequence of the mismatched oMath tags in the document. See the following example:
    Incorrect tags:
    <mc:AlternateContent>
    <mc:Choice Requires=”wps”>
    <m:oMath>
    </mc:AlternateContent>
    </m:oMath>
    Correct tags:
    <m:oMath>
    <mc:AlternateContent>
    <mc:Choice Requires=”wps”>
    </mc:AlternateContent>
    </m:oMath>
    Note: You will have to use an application such as Notepad to edit the XML.
    Manual Technique
    <snip>  A DOCX document is actually a .ZIP file that contains many internal components. There is an internal folder called word which will always contain a document.xml file. This file is the basis of the document's layout
    and content.
    Assuming that the DOCX archive structure has not been corrupted, it can be opened in an archive utility. I use
    WinRAR for this. Once opened in
    WinRAR, you can drill down into the
    word folder and see the document.xml file. I use
    Notepad++ as a text editing tool and have the .xml file extension associated with this program so i can simply double-click
    document.xml in WinRAR to open an editing session.
    Notepad++ has cursor positioning in the right-hand side of the status bar and finding the position of the error (supplied by a failed open in Word) is pretty straightforward. I look for empty formatting
    tags first and only remove content if removing empty tags does not allow the document to be opened. I try to note existing content in the area that I make modifications in order that I can supply position reference information to the owner of the DOCX.
    When editing, I assume the philosophy that kess is more. My target is to get the document to open in Word with as little modification as possible and let the original owner of the DOCX make any necessary adjustments.
    I should mention that after making a change to word/document.xml you need to save it in
    Notepad++ then go to
    WinRAR and acknowledge that you want to update the file in the DOCX archive. Once the archive is updated, you can attempt to open the DOCX in Word to see if your efforts are successful.
    WinRAR
    Notepad++
    </snip>
    Further Fixes
    The Fix it solution in this article should let you recover your Word document. However, the symptoms will reappear when you make any further edits to the document unless the core problem in the structure of the document is resolved.
    To try to correct the core problem, follow one of these workarounds:
    Install Office 2010 Service Pack 1
    Office 2010 Service Pack 1 resolves this issue for new files. It will also prevent the problem from recurring with any files that were recovered with the Fix it solution in this article.
    To download Office 2010 Service Pack 1, follow the steps provided in this Microsoft knowledge base article:
    2460049 - Description of Office 2010 SP1
    Grouping Objects
    The steps provided work best under Word 2010:
    After you open the recovered document, turn on the Selection pane. This can be found in the
    Home tab of the ribbon. The editing group of the
    Home tab has a dropdown button named Select.
    Click the Select button, and then click
    Selection Pane...
    Press the Ctrl button on your keyboard and then click each text box in the selection pane.
    Click the Group button under the Format tab. This will group all the objects together.
    As soon as you have all objects grouped on each page, save the document under a new name.
    Save the document in the .RTF file format
    The steps provided work for both Word 2007 and Word 2010:
    After you open the recovered document, click File and select
    Save (for Word 2007 click the Office button and select
    Save As)
    In the Save As dialog box, click "Save as type:" dropdown and select
    Rich Text format (*.rtf).
    Click Save.

    Not an answer to the problem, just a bonus that may make it easier to input formula’s in Win7.
    Here’s another one of those didn’t-know-it-existed-until-I-clicked-it-by-accident tools in Win7. It’s called the
    Math Input Panel.
    To access it, simply click Start, and in the Search Box that appears above, type in
    Math Input Panel.
    The Window should look like this:
    Let the fine folks at Microsoft explain what it’s used for:
    “Math Input Panel uses the math recognizer that’s built into Win7 to recognize handwritten math expressions. You can then insert the recognized math into a word-processing or computational program. “
    Tony Jolan’s Automatic Fix
    Download  http://www.wordarticles.com/temp/Rebuilder.dotm Microsoft Office Word Macro-Enabled Template (.dotm) and open it.
    Click Options button on the Security warning and select Enable this content.
    Click the Broken Documents tab at the far right of the ribbon.
    Click the Rebuild button in the left-hand side
    Locate and open your corrupt document in the file open dialog.
    That's it. The process will repair your document if possible and create a new document with (Rebuilt)
    appended to the filename. Be patient as it may take a few minutes. If a repair is not possible, you can then post to a public file area and someone here can attempt a manual repair.
    Manual Fix
    XML Maker V1.1 is free. It will allow you to open the document.xml file and edit it. It also marks errors and warnings.
    I just didn’t have much luck working with it.
    A poster used XML Maker V2.1 (US$125, 30day free trial, enough for average person to fix a file)
    Notepad ++ is a good, free editor for this type of task
    Make a copy of the file
    Rename the copy from DOCX to ZIP
    Open … .ZIP/word/document.xml in notepad
    Copy the contents of the file to clipboard
    Open Word
    Paste a copy of the copied XML into Word
    (optional) the XML is one long string too hard to read, you can replace some tags, with that tag plus a para mark to break up the text to make it more people readable.
    Open an XML validator, ie this site on the internet:
    http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_validator.asp
    Paste another copy of the XML into the “Syntax Check Your XML” input window
    Click on “validate” button
    Copy the missing tag, ie </mc:Fallback>  (yours will be different)
    Return to word Find: mc:Fallback>  (without the </ so you find both open and closing tags).
    Repeat find until you hit 2 open tags in a row.  Then you just have to figure out where to put the closing tag between them.
    Look for other tags before and after a proper closing tag so you can match the problem area to a good area.
    Discussion by many affected people, a couple in discussions are also fixing problem if Tony’s fix doesn’t work

    Document Recovery
    http://www.wordarticles.com/Shorts/Corruption/Formats.php
    This page has the most readable description of Word file structures, DOC and DOCX, I have seen so far
    The logical structure of a Word 97‑2003 format document is one of a series of elements arranged in a hierarchy, much like a mini file system. As an example, here is the structure of a simple Word 97‑2003 (.doc) format document:
    MyDocument.doc
    1Table
    *CompObj
    Word Document
    *SummaryInformation
    *DocumentSummaryInformation
    The physical structure of the complete file bears little relation to the logical structure; it is, again, of a proprietary design, a compound, or structured storage, file. Briefly, and loosely, the separate logical elements of the file are broken up into
    blocks; these blocks are treated as individual units, which units are then organised without regard for their logical arrangement, and catalogued, catalogue and organisation detail being held alongside the blocks themselves, to enable recombination into logical
    components when necessary.
    Just to give you a flavour, here are some views of three small parts of such a document, viewed in a hex editor:
    Views of a Word 97-2003 format Document
    The logical structure of a Word 2007 format document is one of a series of elements arranged in a hierarchy, much like a mini file system. As an example, here is the structure of a simple Word 2007 (.docx) format:
    MyDocument.docx
    _rels
    rels
    docProps
    app.xml
    core.xml
    word
    _rels
    document.xml.rels
    theme
    theme1.xml
    document.xml
    settings.xml
    fontTable.xml
    webSettings.xml
    styles.xml
    [Content_Types].xml
    As briefly as before, the [Content_Types] file and the _rels folders, along with the subordinate files therein, contain information about the logical structure, and the two files in the docProps folder contain much the same as the two Information files
    in the old format. The document.xml element within the word folder holds the bulk of the document content and the other files within that same folder hold formatting details.
    So, you might say, the internal structure of a document has changed a little, so what? There are, however, other changes that make a bigger difference. The first is that, although both logical formats are conceptually similar, they are wrapped up in
    completely different ways to make a single file. Instead of the proprietary physical structure used for Word 97‑2003 format documents, a fairly standard, and open, Zip Archive format is used for Word 2007 format documents. The second change is that instead
    of using obscure binary codes, everything in Word 2007 format documents, well almost everything, is held in XML format.
    All data held as XML? In a standard Zip Package? It should be much easier to work with, then? Judge for yourself; here are some views of parts of a Word 2007 format document taken from a hex editor:
    Views of a Word 2007 format Document
    FreeFileViewer – reads 100+ text, Office, audio, video format file types – Can open some XML tag error files

    Can't open Word file due to undeclared prefix, Location: Part: /word/document.xml, Line:91, Column: 49921
    The most likely cause of your particular problem is that you are missing a
    schema prefix reference within the opening <document ...> XML tag (usually the second one). Different
    schema references are required for various types of specialty content. Here is a sample opening <document ...> tag with a large number of various schema prefix codes. If I remove one or two of these, i can reproduce
    your error message.
    <w:document xmlns:ve="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:r="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/relationships" xmlns:m="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/math"

    It's impossible to blindly say exactly what you are missing but if you post an unadulterated copy of your document to a public file area (as noted above) and post the location back here, someone may be able to help. If you are going to go this route, send
    a copy that has not already been subjected to repair attempts.
    FWIW, while it may be hard to determine exactly which schema you may be missing, I do not believe that having extras causes any problems.
    BTW, you don't actually have to rename the DOCX file extension if you have an archiving program. I use WinRAR and simply
    <right-click>, Open With... to expose the archive.

  • Photoshop CC: Have a template that I moved image into.  Image is too small.  How do I resize the image while in the template?  Or must I go to original image file and resize there again and again until I get the right fit?

    I have a template that I am able to plug different pictures into at different times.  The problem is that when I plug an image into that template, I find that the image is either too big or too small.  Is there a way to plug the image into the template and resize the image (and not the template itself) OR will I have to go to the file with the original image and resize it there and then try to plug it in to the template to see if it fits------and if it does not fit, go back to the original file with the image and resize it again and see if that fits---and so on and so on...........?  I have tried the" image size" option but it's hit or miss------mostly miss!
    Thanks!

    Read up on Smart Objects. It looks like you have no idea as to how to create and use them.
    Jut create a Smart Object from the layer containing whatever it image it is that you are "plugging into your template".  But you do need to learn the application at its most basic levels.
    Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.  You cannot learn Photoshop in a forum, one question at a time.
    Or is it possible that you don't even have Photoshop proper but the stripped-down Photoshop Elements?"
    If the latter is the case, you're in the wrong forum.  This is not the Elements forum.
    Here's the link to the forum you would want if you're working in Elements.:

    If you do have Photoshop proper, please provide the exact version number of that application and of your OS.

  • Using a Velocity Template in Java User Exit Custom Handler

    I would have thought it would be possible to use a Velocity template in combination with a custom handler in a Java user exit, but I can't seem to figure out how  to do it, and I'm not finding an example of doing this anywhere in the GoldenGate docs.
    For example, I can create a Velocity template and use it to output transactions in the desired format to a file by using a propeties file that looks something like this:
    gg.handlerlist=myhandler
    gg.handler.myhandler.mode=tx
    gg.handler.myhandler.format=./dirprm/my_template.vm
    gg.handler.myhandler.type=file
    gg.handler.myhandler.file=my_output.txt
    What I'm hoping to do is to have a custom handler, and some how  be able to get to the Velocity formatted transaction data in the "transactionCommit(DsEvent, DsTransaction)" method of my custom extension of AbstractHandler by having a properties file that looks like this (same as the above, except for the type, and no file property ... eg:
    gg.handlerlist=myhandler
    gg.handler.myhandler.mode=tx
    gg.handler.myhandler.format=./dirprm/my_template.vm
    gg.handler.myhandler.type=my.custom.GGHandler
    I've verified that I have a valid DsEvent and a DsTransaction with the desired information in by custom handler's transactionCommit method ... and I can even pull out the required data and re-format it there to the desired format so that it looks just like the format that my Velocity template outputs when I'm outputting to a file (as shown in the first properties file).  But shouldn't I somehow  be able to access the Velocity transformation for my DsTransaction in my custom handler?
    Thanks for any assistance / info provided.

    I would have thought it would be possible to use a Velocity template in combination with a custom handler in a Java user exit, but I can't seem to figure out how  to do it, and I'm not finding an example of doing this anywhere in the GoldenGate docs.
    For example, I can create a Velocity template and use it to output transactions in the desired format to a file by using a propeties file that looks something like this:
    gg.handlerlist=myhandler
    gg.handler.myhandler.mode=tx
    gg.handler.myhandler.format=./dirprm/my_template.vm
    gg.handler.myhandler.type=file
    gg.handler.myhandler.file=my_output.txt
