Vendor Consignment Price Issue for short term Price Contracts with Vendors

Hi Gurus, We are using Consignment Process successfully but very recently we faced a problem on some of our vendors who change the price every quarter.e.g. when the Buyer cuts the Consignment PO for 1000 pieces and receive it in K stock for 10$ the price is valid for 3 months in the Info record  when we start moving from K stock to Company stock after 3 months the price is changing in info record and consumption happening after 3 Months  is causing issues as you all know there is NO PO history tracking for Consignment PO's except 101k movement.we could manually do the jugglery by NOT changing the Info record untill the full 1000 qty of the PO is received but the problem is if there are multiple PO's and if the consumption is pulling stock from 2 different PO's then we have issues
E.g. PO1 1000 Qty Info rec  validity May 1st to july 31st 10$ per piece
PO2  500   Qty Info Rec Validity Aug 1st to Oct 31st 12$ per piece
First consumption 411k for 800 Pcs on june 25th happens with 10 $
Second consumption 411k for 600 Pcs happen on Sep10th will happen with 12$ but the vendor wants 200 out of 600 with 10$ and 400 with 12$ how do we handle this situation without manually changing the info record please advise
As Consumption and settlement happens in MRKO which is totally unlinked with the PO. Is there a way we can handle the situation. There could be multiple consignment PO's which bring stock in Consignment

Hi DP,
As SAP doesn't Support Delivery cost settlement with the consignment process to seprate G/L ( Similar to accruals ), you need to go for Z development which while posting MRKO will be executed with refernce to PO & Issue Document Posting the freight Value to Appropriate fright G/L .

  • What "Type" to use for Short Term TPMs?

    Hi,
I am working on Trade Promotions Management and was curious to know what promotion type is usually associated with Short Term Promotions?
    Thanks

    Hi Shub,
Please read below for the purpose of using Types for TPM.
You define types for your marketing projects. The settings you make for a type define aspects of the business logic of all marketing projects of this type.
You can define multiple types. You can create marketing projects of the types that you define.
You assign a partner determination procedure to a type. You do this to control which business partners can be assigned to a marketing project of this type. Depending on the settings in the partner determination procedure, it may not be possible to assign business partners who are not in the assigned partner determination procedure. Note that when a marketing project has the status Created, you can still assign business partners who are not in the assigned partner determination procedure, but you cannot release the marketing project. If you do not assign a partner determination procedure, you can still assign business partners when the marketing project has the status Created, but you cannot release the marketing project.
You can also create and assign objectives specifically for a type or create pairs of objectives and tactics for this type.
In most cases, you use Types for BI reporting purposes and as part of standard delivery also, it depends on the above factors on what Type you should  use for Short Term or any other TPMs.

  • Price Conditions for Long Term Agreement

    Hi,
i need to extract the price conditions from long term agreements. For what i can understand i have to access the KONH table with a Varkey = EBELN&EBELP of the contract, and then see conditions on KONP and KONM tables. One thing I can't understand is how a record in KONH is marked for deletion. If I create another record with same validity period for same item. the other one is superceeded as if it was cancelled. Is there any other table with header condition master data?
Furthermore, why the system lets me insert a new item with gross price, with same condition of an existing one, without having to flag for deletion the other. It seems that i can insert all the gross price (PB00) positions i want, and the last one i inserted is considered.
    Someone has any clue?
    thanks

Loquat - That's not a good analogy.  Let me help you with your bank analogy:
    * You pay your mortgage payment on time faithfully for 24.5 years, and you want to REFINANCE your mortgage with your existing bank; however, your existing bank wants to charge you closing costs on your new loan AND a termination fee for the old loan.
    * HOWEVER, to solicit new business, your bank is telling other customers that they will pay the termination fees on their old mortgages if they do their refinance with the bank.  So why would the bank pay to get someone else's customer but not pay the same (OR EVEN MUCH LESS) to retain the customer that they already have?
    * By the way, thanks for the banking analogy.  As a 20+ year banker, I can tell you that a bank would never treat new, unproven customers better than their existing, long-time customers.
Thanks all for the lively debate, but nobody has been able to tell me how Verizon is better off by taking $130 now and letting $7,000 go to someone else.  That would be the equivalent of a 1.8% discount to make an existing customer feel like Verizon values their business.  But they would gladly give $600 ($150 per phone) to a new customer for bringing them the same business.
Loquat - by the way, that is not a "Special Privilege"!  That is the same privilege that they are offering to others that are not current customers!!  How is that "special privilege"?  And yes, it does sound fair.

  • How to Handle Returns of Vendor Consigned Stock Issued via Delivery ?

    Hi.
I am currently able to issue Vendor Consigned Stock via Delivery. I use Lean Warehouse Management, and I have implemented Stock Determination Rule to take Vendor Consigned Stock and Unrestricted own stock in account during Issue. I am even able to insert the correct Vendor Number during the confirmation of the Transfer Order. When I generate the Goods Issue of the Delivery Order, I get an accounting document that affects both the Account Payable Liability and a Consumption Account.
Now My Question is this :
How do I handle Customer Complaints that lead to a Return of the Goods, back into Vendor Consigned Stock ? The goods that is returned, needs to be taken back into Vendor-Consigned Status, and a appropriate Accounting Document needs to be generated to reverse out the Acct Payable Liability and Consumption Account entries.
Do I use a Returns 'RE' Sales Order to bring back the Stock ? I need to be able to create a Return Delivery that will immediately post the returned Stock back into Vendor Consigned Status. So where and how can I key in the vendor number in the Return delivery, keeping in mind Return Delivery in Standard SAP does not use Warehouse Management ?
    regards
    Peo

    Hi Edmund
I think you can try the following:
    1. Define a new schedule line category - here you can define the movement type and the item category (as given in a Purchase Info Record). - Transaction VOV6
    2. Define a new sales order type for returns. - Transaction VOV8
    3. Define a new item category for the returns document, - you can mention the special stock type here too
    4. Carry out the sales order to item category and item category to schedule line category assignments.
I am not sure if the system will prompt you to provide the vendor number or how does it populate the vendor no. while posting the material doc. However you can try this out and check if this solves your issue.

  • Net price zero for SRM service central contract in SAP ECC

    Hi
Net price in backend ECC is showing as zero for SRM service central contrracts, all other price fieids are fine expect net prices. We have no issues for material contract.
Does any one had similar issue of net price zero? I have tested this scenrio in couple of SRM 7 landscpape all are with similar behaviour. Is it standard?
    Your response is highly appreciated.
    Regard
    Prashanth K Saralaya

    Hi prashant
I never tried service . but you can see this below symptom for you.I extensively worked on Material contracts.
Are you creating contract from Process contract or Via RFQ
Note 1272305 - Total value wrongly calculated in Contract Service lines
    Symptom
We create a Service contract in the R/3 Backend from RFQ. During the transfer we calculate the gross price based on the quantity, price and price unit. (ie) The field ESLL-BRTWR is filled with following formula in the idoc processing. ls_e1edc20-BRTWR
              = ( is_item-price * is_item-quantity ) / is_item-price_unit.
AS total value of the service lines is calculated based on the field NETWR which is passed as blank from SRM, during recalculation total value when we change the gross price of one of the service lines in r/3, it is required to fill this field
till PI values are brought correctly till posting to ECC. ?
Note 1123292 - Net Price wrongly calculated in plug-in MAP_BLAORD_SERVICES
    my experience in GOA
    Note:-
2 set stream of DATA comes from SRM as BLOARD and COND_A ..
Even some times when we reprocess failed IDOCS in BD87 in ECC ( comes contract data from SRM as GOA and failed due to some data validation in ECC). now data issue was fixed at Material master level. and
if we forget to reprocess COND_A - BLOARD creates a successfull GOA but net price shows as ZERO for each material and when you post the COND_A data and correct price will be updated in ECC contract. so kindly check price data reaches or not not or price calculation failed in ECC.

  • New Price Rule For F&A Price

    Des:
Now we are using the price rule based on the Factor 1 / Density (Net Weight / Volume) in the Purchages as well as sales.
Now my client is asking the new price rule and it should be calculate in the purchages based on the Factor 1 / Actual density (Which is available in the GR).
    Queries:
    1. Is there any possibility to recalculate the price in the PO based on the actual density after creation of GR?
    2. Is it suggestble to recalculate the price in the Invoice receipt directly based on the Actual density (Which is available in the GR).
    3. Is it advisable to create differential invoice for difference amount ((price based on the Factor 1 / Density (Net Weight / Volume) and Factor 1 / Actual density (Which is available in the GR)).
    regards

    Hi ,
    see my replies:
    Queries:
    1. Is there any possibility to recalculate the price in the PO based on the actual density after creation of GR?
That is exactly what SAP is doing if Purch repricing is configured.
    2. Is it suggestble to recalculate the price in the Invoice receipt directly based on the Actual density (Which is available in the GR).
Oh well this is a diffcult question and comes down to the business practice of your customer. Let me tell it more difficult to prevent than to do it.
    3. Is it advisable to create differential invoice for difference amount ((price based on the Factor 1 / Density (Net Weight / Volume) and Factor 1 / Actual density (Which is available in the GR)).
No, never seen this. It is either settled using a standard density or the actual.
This topic is a hot one for every customer and requires extra care as you're dealing with external settlement.

    Hi,
For Home delivery Sales order- Sale is being performed from Vendor consignment stock & it works good with 601K movement .For Return in this case, Return sales order is created & PGR is performed against delivery. While doing this - the returned consignment material goes to unrestricted blocked stock. But we need this to go back to Consignment stock.

  • HT5569 Can I use an iPad in a short-term rental apartment with free wifi in Scandinavia?

We are considering buying an iPad 2. We will be traveling in Scandinavia and the Baltic area for five weeks this summer, staying in short-term rental apartments that all have free wifi. Wil we be able to use an iPad in these countries: Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia? If so, what kind of an electrical adapter will we need to charge it?
    Thanks!

Wifi is the same everywhere so no issue there.
The Apple charger is universal, It can take voltage from most countries so all you would need is a plug adapter to connect it to European outlets.
Your best bet is a set like this, so you are prepared for wichever outlet type you encounter:

  • Controlling the goods issue for various terms of sale

Can anyone tell me how in ECC 6.0 that I can have an intransit status on goods leaving the factory and going to the port (FOB) or to the customer (CIF) and can relieve the inventory when the confirmation is received?  I have seen in the IS-OIL sector this functionality exists in the Transportation and Distribution - but this is not part of ECC 6.0 (standard).  Can I activate this functionality in ECC 6 or is there some other means to make this happen in ECC 6 that I am missing?

I've made a researh yesterday and realized that at the item table of the billing document (VBRP) there exists field for the batch number of the item. This can be the reason. Delivery is the reference document and must be consistent with the billing document. That means, the batch numbers for the items at the delivef there exists no batch number at the delivery document, there should exist no batch number at the billing document, too. This is the reason, I believe. But maybe there may be a way out for goods issue after creating a billing document when the delivery is formerly created.

  • Data encryption for short term protection?

As for the present DPM release 2012 R2 UR1, there is no support for encryption of data to DPM disk. Do anyone know if/when this is planned in future releases??
    /Amir

if you look on the versions (DPM 2007 (2008 year) - 2012 R2 (2013)) that
will have to wait a long time :)

I think that if you need encrypted data you can
    1) Use DPM as virtual machine with vhd data and encrypt Volume with vhd DPM data
    2) Use Firestreamer
    Have a nice day !!!

so long as you are positive what you are editing is still 1080i (right click the sequence or in the timelinew, and select properties to double check). If you Print To Video back to the camera or deck, then you will still have HDV. The next stage completely relies on the projector used at the theatre screens, you need to find out what format they require, if they need something on film, then you'll have to take your tape to a production house or facility who can do the conversion for you. Any production house worth their salt should be able to handle a HDV tape, and do the conversion to whatever format no problem for you.
(checkout dvfilm.com - may be interesting for you to read)
So long as you are able to output to tape, or possibly an uncompressed quicktime/avi file. then you should be fine, it entirely depends on the format the projector requires.
Even if you have to downconvert to SD, don't worry shooting in HDV won't have been in vain, it will still look great, better than any DV camera. It's a fairly common practice nowadays.
anyway i'd speak to your theatre manager and find out from them what format they require, and go from there, otherwise you have all the equipment you could need, anything else such as film conversion would HAVE to be done by a facility, and should only be a few hundered bucks i think.

  • FMS Admin Wanted for Short Term Contract Work

I know there are tons of services out there for linux/windows administrators, but can anyone point me to where I can find an experienced FMS administrator?  We need some help configuring our server for some high traffic loads.  This would be a paid gig.

If the candidate had all the correct attributes then it could indeed be an option.
