Vendor Payment Reference

Dear All,
When my end user posted vendor payment entry through F-53, they enter unvoice number in reference tab but after posting reference number has chenged & display cheque number in the reference tab.
Please give the solution ASAP.

Check if there are any substitution rules defined.
Since you are using F-53, I presume you are using FCHU to allocate the cheque number to the payment document.  If this is the case, while running FCHU, you'll have to select 'Assignment' field instead of 'Reference' field in the last frame 'Target field selection for check number'.  This will prevent from altering the Reference field.  But you'll have to make sure this does not affect your BRS as it may be configured to clear from the 'Reference' field.

    Hi,
    Check the  following steps to pay w.r.t to PO:
    1.Check the Vendor reconciliation A/C,
    2.Go to FS00, and check Filed Status Group,
    3.Go to OBC4, check the Filed Status Group, what u have mentioned for the Vendor reconciliation account.
    4. Go To material management segment and put required entry for the field of Purchase Order and save.
    Now when you pay in F-53, you can enter PO number and save the document.

  • Payment Reference Field KIDNO Not apprearing at the time of Vendor Payment

    Hi,
    When we are making the Vendor Payment thru F-53, we are not able to see the Payment Reference Field KIDNO there. But when the payment document is posted and we see the line items then this field KIDNO comes there as non-modifiable field. We want to fill some information there in that field for some report purposes. Can you please help me, how can I see this field as changable field at the time of making vendor paymnts thru F-53.

    Hi Senthilkumar,
    Change the field status for the 'payment reference field' to optional or required, based on your requirements. You can do this in T.Code - FBKP.
    Do this:
    a) Check the field status group maintained in the master data of the Reconciliation account of the vendor.
    b) In t.code - FBKP, click on 'Field Status Groups' and enter the variant created for your company code
    c) Now from the resultant entries, double click on the field status group which has been maintained in the master data of the Reconciliation account of the vendor.
    d) Double click on 'Payment transactions', you would see 'Payment Reference' there which would be having its status as 'Suppressed'. Just change it to Optional or Required!!

  • Vendor payment with multiple payment references

    How do you allocate multiple payment references per line item for a specific a vendor EG a Municipality in a specific region.
    Currently we are issuing cheques because we cannot allocate multiple payment references if we create an EFT payment. EG: We create a cheque payment for every factory's utility account because we have more than one factory in a municipality region and each factory has to pay it's own property levies. But that maybe come a problem as of mid July 2012 any cheque issued in SA the value may not be greater than R500 000.00 and most of the utility accounts for our factories far exceeds R500 000.
    Therefore we a looking at how to address this problem payment program in SAP.

    i understand your question but what i dont understand is your requirement!!!
    Do you want to have multiple payment terms on your vendor ?
    and while invoicing, you want to choose based on the amount of the invoice.

  • Population of filed PO in payment reference in Vendor line

    Hello all,
    At the time of MIRO, the PO no. needs to be fetch in Vendor line items "payment reference" field automatically based on the value entered in PO field.
    Can anybody help me to fetch the field by substitution or exit/BADI/enhancement is only the option.

    I have just tried to write a subsitution rule for this . Find below the same.
    Prerequisite : TRANSACTION CODE = MIRO and BKPF-BUKRS=(Your company code)
    Substitution: BSEG-KIDNO= BSEG-EBELN
    (Payment reference field needs to be replaced by Purchase order no)
    Please test it and let us know the results.

  • Save automatic vendor payment run reference in clearing account assignment

    Hi,
    When executing an automatic vendor payment run, the run is identified with two fields:
    - Run date
    - Identification
    When the payments are posted, the vendors are cleared and an offsetting entry is posted onto the respective clearing account for each vendor. So if there is 100 vendors in the payment run, there will be 100 line items on the clearing account.
    When multiple payment runs are made on the same day, it is hard to separate the line items for each payment run, during the banking process. Each payment run appears with it's total payment amount on the bank statement and should be cleared against the corresponding line items on the clearing account and that's where it becomes hard to easily select the line items that add up to the payment amount.
    Unless of course, the assignment field on the clearing account would hold the run date and identification of the payment run.
    Has anybody encountered the same business scenario and found a solution for it?

    This is my first posting in this site, I am working for a implementation project first time. I need your help in providing solution for client requirement.
    My client is posting a vendor invoice through MIRO & for the payment of the same they are expecting the automatic selection of vendor and amount to make the payment. Is it possible in SAP Standard F-53 screen where vendor payments made manually or automatically in F110. PLease respond.

    In normal SAP F-53 screen it is not possible to automatic selection of vendor and amount also. User manually select those items based on their requirement.
    F110 is the only one way for automatic payment.
    For this process we have to create the configuration steps in FBZP.
    Then we need to mention that payment metthod and house banks  in vendor code.
    At the time of F110 run wwe have to select the vendor and customer codes range.
    Then only System clears that amount automatically..

  • S_ALR_87012085-Vendor Payment History

    We are using the report S_ALR_87012085-Vendor Payment History with OI sorted Items.We could get the report ouput as we need with ageing 0-30,30-60 etc but with the exisitng layout as it flows over many pages and is therefore not printable.
    We need one line per vendor so they can easily print the report.
    Is there a way this could be meet by changing layout instead of getting big lines of address and all.Or anyother report meets this requirement.

    if this requirement does not suffice your requirement,
    You can create your own FORM using FKI4 - Refer FKI5 or FKI6 for your ference.
    You assign this FORM using FKI1 - Refer FKI2 or FKI3 for your reference.
    You can design your form more flexibily and incorporate formulas also.

    Check through FBL1N vendor line item display, here you can check for the vendor libality generated during invoice (MIRO) posting once you get into the t-code FBL1N select the radio button open items only in line item selection give your vendor account, company code date (Key day at which the line items are open till now), and execute.
    In the report screen to help your self you can search using crtl + F and put reference as serach criteria.
    You will see the non cleared item the Status indicator tells you the line item is not yet cleared.

  • FB01 for vendor payments

    Dear Experts,
    My question is regarding vendor payment entry from transaction FB01. My requirement is regarding  upload of mass vendor  payment entries. The accounting entry generated through vendor payment transaction F-53 cleares the open invoice and posts the payment entry. We are trying to generate the same effect from transaction FB01. We can post the payment entry here as below:
    Posting Key   
    25Dr                        Vendor
    50Cr                        Outgoing Payment Clearing
    We are also giving invoice reference in the vendor line item in this entry to clear the open item. But this entry is not able to clear concerned open item and payment from the vendor account. Someone please let me know what am i missing in this entry or I should do it from some other transaction.

    Hi Aniruddha,
    The transaction code FB01 will only post the document and it will not clear the documents. You can use the transaction F-51 for post and clear the document. Here you have to enter only credit entry i.e. bank clearing account after that select chose open items,enter the vendor code,select process open items, select the invoice, simulate and save the documents. It will post the document and at the same time it will clear the items also.

    My requirement is that  i want to link payments ( vendor ) to PO i.e how much payment has been made to particular vendor for a particular vendor .
    I have placed several orders to a single vendor for the supply of different material.
    In my sceneraio i am paying the advances to vendor  against thes PO.
    I wanna to link these vendor payment to PO so that i will bw in postion to know what is my payment done against PO.

    When you are posting a vendor down payment through F-48, you can mention notes in the reference (ex. PO number...), so that it will be easy to identify the advances against the PO.

  • Payment reference not in payment run F110

    Dear FI'ers,
    We post an invoice with payment reference file BSEG-KIDNO filled.When we create payment proposal through F110 the field REGUO-KIDNO is not filled. When we go into detail the file REGUE_KIDNO is filled.
    How to create payment proposal with payment reference field filled? I guess it has something to do with the fact that payments for multple invoices are added so then no payment reference can be defined for the payment.
    Any ideas?

    EDIT: Even with individual paymnts selected for the vendor th file dos not get filled.

    User transaction FBZP
    Separate payment for each ref. was ticked for company codes.
    Also make the Payment reference field optional through field control.

  • Bapi for Posting the vendor payment.F-53

    Hi,
    I need to post a document for Vendor payment using BAPI, by providing the Vendor Invoice number as Reference number which was created by using the FM PRELIMINARY_POSTING_FB01. I can able to generate a Vendor invoice, But i cant able to make this vendor invoice number as a reference number to post the vendor payment using the BAPI BAPI_ACC_DOUMENT_POST. After Executing this BAPI ,then i check in FBL1N means, the posted document was in open items. It Should be in cleared items. If i manually entered through F-53 means the payment is coming successfully and also as Cleared items in FBL1N.How to solve this issue..

  • The payment reference field

    Hi,
    The user complains that the item 1 of 4 items in one document type AB, although it had the Credit memo and the Payment Ref. fields filled with the invoice number 9054525892 it was not cleared by the customer payment. They usually work with an automatic process to clear the documents.
    The customer pays an amount (he already knows the net amount) for the bank and by the return file, according to the original invoice it makes the clearing if all the documents have the same due date and Payment reference correctly filled.
    I would like to know why the item 1 of the document type AB was not considered even with the paymennt reference field filled.
    Does SAP recognize the payment reference just if it is a document type debit 40 / credit 11 or is it smart enough to find an ITEM inside a document to clear just it?
    I believe the user created a wrong document to give a discount.... but I would like to know how SAP works with the payment reference field.

    Combining FI Documents Using a Payment Reference Number KIDNO.
    In some countries you may be required to combine receivables, linked liabilities or cancellations in the same payment program.
    This combination is carried out by filling field KIDNO in the billing header with the following values:
    F2 billing documents (customer invoices) with the billing number
    S1 cancellations using the reference to the corresponding F2 billing document to be canceled via the VBRK-KIDNO from the F2 billing document.
    If a reference for the credit memo request exists for a billing document, then the VBRK-KIDNO value of the reference billing document is copied.
    If there is no reference, then the KIDNO is given the current billing document number.
    When the customer pays the invoice, it quotes the payment reference number, which enables the vendor to match the payment to the invoice more quickly.
    The payment reference number consists of a sequential number and a check digit. Each country has its own rules as to how the check digit is calculated.

  • Posting Invioce with payment reference ( KIDNO) using INVOIC01 idoc

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    We have a process to post invoices in the system using IDoc basic type Invoic01.
    The requirement is that vendor will pass the payment reference in the XML message and we need to populate this payment reference value in the payment reference field in invioce (in payment tab, techinical field name is KIDNO).
    I am struggling to find the segment in the idoc which holds this value and qualifier if any to be used to post this automatically.
    Can any one help please?

    Hi,
    I sent a message to SAP asking how to include the KIDNO in the IDOC. They said that it wasn't possible to add the payment reference in the electronic invoice without using custom code:
    Unfortunately there is no KIDNO-Field provided within Invoic*-Idocs.
    In the IDOC definition for E1EDK02 there exist a qualifier 071 (KIDNO)
    but it is not used. This qualifier is used only in other function
    modules and scenarios.
    You have to use userexits and program your own functionality importing
    and exporting KIDNO.
    Within SAP Standard the functionality to transfer BSEG-KIDNO within
    inter company billing from the document of the one company code to
    the idoc to be posted in the secondary company code is not provided.
    But you can use note 562193 as an example how to fill this field
    in the customer function '002'.
    Should you wish to have this functionality added to future releases
    please consider entering a development request. Please see note 11 for
    more on this.
