VERIZON AND THE CHARGE=TERRIBLE

My camera also locks up, which is very inconvenient as I use my phone camera for work, or did anyway. Additionally, my phone sounds like there's aliens talking on it with loud screaching noises at least 6 times a day, and a reset always fixes that, but it sucks reseting so much. Also, call icon won't disappear and then phone will lock up after ending call, at least a few time a day. Again I have to pull battery. Verizon store wouldnt do anything but send me a referbished phone, which is a total joke. Also, several times a week people on the phone tell me it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. Reset and it's fine again. This phone is a piece of junk and Verizon's customer service is worse.. I came from the thunderbolt and best buy replaced it when the reboots began but that was within 30 days. Once your out of the 30 days Verizon treats you like a criminal. What a crock!!! It could be the best phone ever. I know I just got a lemon, but I guess I'm stuck with it thanks to the boys in red. Now I know what kind of customer service 200 a month buys me. None.

Thanks to the community for helping out with this one. Gvillecharge, I know you're disappointed. I'm sorry that you're experiencing issues with your Droid Charge. I respect that you have high expectations for the device and you feel let down because you expected to get a new phone as a replacement. Perhaps, if you'll indulge me, I can explain why you weren't offered a new phone as a replacement.
It's been stated here that VZW's Worry Free Guarantee provides our customers 14 days in which to evaluate a newly purchased phone. If, for any reason, that phone doesn't work out, our customers may return it for refund or exchange for the model of their choice (with a $35.00 restock  for applied for all but same-model exchanges). I presume that the issues you described were not evident until after that 14 day period, since you were offered a Certified Like New Replacement (CLNR) instead of a new phone.
Gvillecharge, the process of offering a warranty replacement instead of a new device is quite common in the electronics industry. In fact, you'll find that the policy most electronics manufacturers requires consumers to foot the bill to the device to the manufacturer for evaluation. That process can take weeks, after which you are either given your original device back (repaired, of course) or given a warranty replacement.
As the retailer, VZW is involved in the warranty process at the convenience of our customers. Through VZW, you can get a warranty replacement without having to submit your phone first. The replacement you get is free. The cost of shipping the phone to you and shipping defective device back is free. True, it isn't a brand new phone. But let me ask you this: If a brand new phone would be so much more likely to fix the issue than a CLNR, would you even need to address this matter at all? After all, wasn't your current phone brand new when you first got it?
I encourage you to strongly consider the CLNR, Gvillecharge. I've gotten one myself in the past and it served me well. Thanks for your time!
