Verizon canceled my iPhone 6 Plus order, suddenly says I'm ineligible for Early Edge

I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus on 9/19 (and also a second iPhone and new line for my wife). The expected ship date was this week. I checked on the status yesterday only to discover it was canceled. Needless to say, I was upset and called to find out why. The salesperson told me I was ineligible for Early edge. This is after two separate Verizon employees said I was eligible (one in a Verizon store a week before I ordered it and the salesperson I placed the phone order with). How is this even possible?
After a long wait as she discussed my situation with the supervisor, I was told they would honor the Early Edge but would have to reorder and it could be another month before I get my phone. They expected me to be happy about it because they were doing me some big favor. I was still angry but agreed to reorder.
After I hung up, though, I realized this is completely unacceptable. I've already waited a month and a half, there is no way I'm going to the back of the line again and waiting another month. I called back today and canceled my order. I will be paying the early cancellation fee and switching to AT&T as soon as possible. After this experience, I can no longer remain a Verizon customer.

AT&T has the program where they will pay off your fees if you join them right? Or is that Sprint?

  • Apple Singapore Keeps Canceling My iPhone 5 Order

    Hi,
Apple Online Singapore keeps canceling my order of iPhone 5 - a gift for my mom and dad for their anniversary (they are still using the 3G iphones.)
The first one being I used my husband's credit card (we wanted the credit points for the purchase). They informed me that my husband already bought during the pre-order period (one for him and another one for me.) Understanding their policy of "Limit 2 per customer", I did not complain. So I decided to order again,  using my own credit card and Apple Store credentials - this is my first time to actually purchase from the online store as typically my husband buys for me. Just yesterday, Apple canceled my order again - receiving the same email that says "Apple is unable to fulfill orders that exceed the quantity limit per customer." I gave their customer service hotline a call again, and they are unable to explain why the 2nd order got canceled. I requested them to reconsider my order, as I believe it complies with the limit. The polite CS rep said he will submit a request but it will take 2-3 days to be assessed, and not sure if approved, and that the delivery date will be moved depending on the approval date. The 1st order's delivery date was 1st November, the 2nd one was 5th November. My parents wedding anniversary will be on the 10th. The Online Store is again closed for orders and I am worried that either the delivery date slips (if approved) or I am not able to buy the phones anymore since Apple might cancel it again. I am frustrated that  I cannot find any contacts to Apple to complain about this and that we have to be at the mercy of their ordering system/staff to purchase the devices. Why do I have to go through all this hassle even though I followed the store policy? They cannot even approve my order right away when I called when my credentials are obviously valid. Sigh. If only the items are available on the retail stores here (and they said not sure when it will be avialable).
Anybody can point me out where to complain or voice out my concerns to Apple? Or anybody from Apple Customer Relations? I cannot find any link on Apple's website to send this concern. I feel like Apple Singapore is short of customer service standard too.
Thanks to all and have a great weekend.

Apple has already reactivated my order after a few follow-up calls. ;-)

  • Can att charge me anything if i cancelled an iphone 5 order with their plan i made on the apple website, but which hadn't even shipped yet?

I just cancelled an order today for an iphone 5 that was still not going to ship fornanother 4 weeks. I am just concerned att will try and charge something since i had chosen theirbservice when i made the order, but i figure how can they charge me anything of i am not even getting the phone in the first place? Is that correct?

No, they would not charge you anything.
Although asking AT&T directly would have probably been a better choice to get the definitive answer.

  • Cancel Apple iPhone 4 order, and order from AT&T Website?

Do you think it will ship quicker if I order from the AT&T site? because it says 7-10 days estimation. Any concerns! Thanks!

I Just spoke to an AT&T advisor online, and they told me if I order today, it will be delivered by Friday because they offer FREE Overnight Shipping!
Im gonna try it, and update on results! Becuase I really dont want to wait till mid July...

  • Is there any way to cancel an iPhone 5 order once its in "Preparing for Shipment" status?

I only ask because I'm looking at two weeks for delivery when I could just go to a Sprint store today and get one myself.

    Same problem - I pre-ordered - now I have to wait.
Anyone with Supply Chain experience in the house?
    Aruggggg

  • HT1212 I'm trying to restore my iPhone but it's saying it's disabled for 22,000,000 minutes!

I lost my iphone 4 about 2 months ago and the battery died before I could use Find My iphone. I thought I lost it competely so I got a new phone, and iphone 5 this time. After another three weeks of buying the new phone I found my old one just in a bookbag I forgot I'd used. I thought it would be cool now to use the old phone as just an ipod but when I turned it on (after a good charge) all it displayed was the word iphone and the apple logo. It wouldn't even let me put my passcode in. I took it to Best Buy today to find out what was wrong with it, but they didn't even know. They had to restart it twice and it finally came up with the red disabled warning. It says, "try again in 22,744,982 minutes. Ummmm, I'll be about 80 years old when I can log back into my iphone. Best Buy told me just to reset it on iTunes. But here I am and iTunes wants me to put in my security passcode in order to access my phone, which brings me back to the same warning.....This is a vicious loop, a Catch 22, and I don't know what to do now. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

  • Misinformed by a Verizon corporate store about Early Edge and now loosing hundred of dollars in order to get account straightened back out.

In early November 2014, my husband and I visited a corporate Verizon store.  While at the store, we were presented with the option to do an "Early Edge" program.  My husband and I both opted to do the Early Edge program and were informed that it would be in our best interested to switch our data plan from 4 GB to 10 GB because it would be cheaper due to the larger discount on the line access charges.  He switched our plan on the spot in the store for us and we proceeded to do the Early Edge agreements.
As part of the Early Edge agreement, the sales associate informed us that we would need to send back our current phones due to receiving a discount on the handsets when we signed the two year contracts with them.  This part was a little confusing for me because I signed my 2-year contract and purchased a Samsung Galaxy S4 with that contract but was having a lot of problems with it, so I paid full retail price or "out of pocket" for a Motorola Moto X Designed by You that was active on the account when we signed the Early Edge Agreement for my phone number.
The sales associate was adamant that I needed to send the Samsung Galaxy S4 back to Verizon after I received my new phone in the mail from the Early Edge program.  He was well aware that the Samsung Galaxy S4 was NOT currently active on my account as we talked about my Moto X being on the account when he pulled up the account.  So when my new phone arrived in the mail, I activated it and mailed back my Samsung Galaxy S4.
At the end of November and into early December, I started receiving both text messages and e-mails from Verizon stating that I had not returned my device back to Verizon and needed to do so within the next 14 days.  Both myself and my husband called Verizon Customer Care (611 from our handsets) multiple times to try and figure out why we were getting these messages.  We were each told a wide variety of reasons why we were getting these messages.  One phone call my husband was told that the warehouse mixed up the bags our returned devices were in and it would be corrected by the warehouse.  Both my husband and I were told several times that both phones were indeed received, but it took 4-6 weeks for the return to be processed so we didn't have to worry about the messages.
At the end of December, I received another e-mail saying I failed to return my device to Verizon and I would be charged a fee because of this.  I called Verizon Customer Care (611) and was told that I received this messages because the warehouse was expecting a Moto X back and received a Samsung Galaxy S4 instead.  I explained why I sent the Galaxy S4 instead of the Moto X and the customer care representative put me on hold as he spoke with his supervisor, then came back and told me I needed to return to the store where I signed the Early Edge agreement where they could change the phone that the warehouse was expecting from the Moto X to the Samsung Galaxy S4.
My husband and I traveled an hour to the Verizon store where we signed the Early Edge agreement and were told by the store manager that it was impossible for them to change what phone the warehouse was expecting at a store level.  We asked that the store credit us the fee we were expecting to be charged for not returning "the correct phone" since we were mislead by a store employee, but the manager refused to help us with a credit or to even get the situation with the returned phones resolved.
Exhausted and extremely upset, I decided to try one last hope and use the live chat feature on the Verizon website for help with the issue.
Now, another issue on the account we faced was a $30 overage fee for going over our data plan in November.  We received a ridiculously high Verizon bill in December and when I examined it, I saw we were being charged for a "month in advance" on all of the charges on our account due to signing the Early Edge agreements, as well as $30 fee for going over our data.  It was never explained to us by the sales representative that our next bill would be higher than it normally is because we will be billed for a month in advance, so that was shocking to receive a bill almost $200 higher than our normal bill, and to have a $30 overage fee.  I called Verizon Customer Care (611) and asked about the $30 overage and she told me it was because we changed our data plan at a Verizon store in the middle of our billing cycle.  She spoke to her manager and was approved to give us a $30 bill credit on our next bill since the data plan change should have been back dated to the start of billing cycle to avoid things like a data overage.  So we paid the extremely large bill and when the December bill came, there was to no surprise, no $30 bill credit on our December bill.
So, I waited about 10-15 minutes for a chat agent to become available.  I was connected to an Agent and typed out a lengthy summer of my issue of the missing bill credit to start and told him I had another more complicated issue to discuss after the bill credit.  It said the "Agent is typing a message" down at the bottom of the chat for a long time, I probably waited a good 25 minutes like an idiot before I attempted type another message but was unable to type anything.  While cycling through the open windows on my computer, I noticed there was another pop up from Verizon that said my chat was disconnected because of inactivity.
I got REALLY upset at that point, and had to wait another 10-15 minutes to get into a new chat with a new agent since the other one timed out because the agent never said anything in my chat window.  I was connected with a very helpful and polite agent named Tiffany.  Long chat conversation made short, Tiffany promised to issue a $30 "instant credit" to my account that would take 10-15 minutes to appear and I needed to relog in order to see.  She also told me that I was supposed to send back the Samsung Galaxy S4 since I paid out of pocket for the Moto X and that she would forward the issue to her supervisor to get the Samsung Galaxy S4 accepted by the warehouse so I would not have to pay the fee for returning the wrong device.
It is now January 10th, 2015, and my bill is due by 1/11/15.  There has still not been a $30 "instant credit" posted to my account as my bill amount has not decreased by a single penny since it posted to my account in December.
About 30 minutes after I finished chatting with Tiffany, I received several text messages from Verizon informing me that the warehouse would be returning my Samsung Galaxy S4 to my residence and I needed to return my Moto X after that because it was the last phone active on my account when I signed the Early Edge agreement.
I am EXTREMELY upset that we were misinformed by a sales representative at a corporate Verizon store and it is going to end up costing me hundreds of dollars because I chose to do a Early Edge upgrade and it really screwed up my account.  If I comply with what Verizon is asking and send back my Moto X, I am loosing the $350 dollars I spent to purchase that phone out of pocket plus the $30 dollar overage fee I was charged for a change the representative made on my account in the middle of the bill cycle.  If I refuse to send the Moto X back, I must pay a $250  fee (or higher) for not returning my device plus the $30 overage charge.
I used to really enjoy being a Verizon customer, but now I feel completely scammed out of hundreds of dollars because Verizon as a company is refusing to make a wrong a store associate representing the company made back in November.
This became A LOT longer than I intended it to be and I don't expect anyone to read it fully, so if you take anything away from this forum post (if it doesn't get deleted by Verizon), please take these thoughts away:
Do NOT signed up for the Early Edge Program because it will do nothing but give you a ton of headaches, really screw up your Verizon account, and cost you a lot of money in the long run.
Do NOT believe when anyone paid by Verizon tells you that you will receive any kind of credit on your account, it will NOT happen.
Verizon Wireless will NOT fix any mistakes on your account made by the company itself; Verizon Wireless will come up with solutions on how YOU can fix the problems THEY created on your account, but none of these solutions will actually fix your account.
If you are thinking of switching to Verizon from another company, DO NOT.
    Sincerely,
an extremely disgruntled Verizon Wireless customer who WILL be switching to another carried once the mess of her account gets sorted out.

I am going to tell you like I have been passing the word about this scam verizion is running with this edge program, basically they been getting our money from both ends, anyway that is how my lawyer explained it to me.I am taking them to court and will see where it goes.
All I'm saying is read the fine print a couple of times because what there putting in print isn't true.
My wife was such a great customer they gave her a couple lg tablets, she told them we got enough at home and they said but there free she said ok I guess if there free.
Two months later I was getting charged and they been in the closet, they don't care about the customerand there liars.

  • IPhone 5c 32gb to Droid MAXX through early Edge promo?

I really want an Android phone, but my two-year contract isn't up until next March. I'm eligible for the Early EDGE promotion which is offering the Droid MAXX this month. I have the iPhone 5C 32gb right now. Should I get the MAXX or wait to see if the promotion changes sometime soon? I've looked at the no-contract, Verizon phones for sale on Amazon but I have no idea if they're a safe buy or not.

Actually, switching to Edge now would only increase my monthly bill by $9 when I factor in employee discounts. I talked to several reps in chat last night who had never even heard of the Early EDGE promotion. They told me any phone is eligible for Edge. I said, yes, but that's not what this promotion is, and I had to explain it to them. They also couldn't tell me which phone I was eligible to purchase.
In any case, it seems I am unable to purchase *any* phone - including the Droid MAXX. When I get to the shipping address screen it tells me "We are unable to save your selections. Could you please try again?" So I called, and the rep was able to access my account and add the Samsung S5 to the cart. When I try to do the same, a pop-up tells me the phone is not eligible for Early EDGE. I stopped her before she finalized the purchase for fear that I would have to pay full price....despite her reassurances to the contrary.
I'm extremely frustrated....a friend recommended AT&T, but I can't afford to switch right now or I probably would.

  • My iPhone 6 order was canceled without my permission and without reason or explanation. I have had a verizon cell phone for 13 years and have gotten your cable/internet/phone when i moved out on my own because i had been so happy with the experience i had

I have had a verizon cell phone for 13 years and have gotten your cable/internet/phone when i moved out on my own because i had been so happy with the experience i had with the cell phone service. i ordered my new iPhone 6 on October 6th along with my husband. i was told by the sales associate at the vierzon store where i placed the order that it would ship a week before halloween. instead of a shipping confirmation, i received an email a week before halloween letting me know that my order had been placed on 10/24/14. i thought this was weird, but figured i could weight another week or two, no big deal. my husband got his phone in the mail yesterday. still no sign of mine. then this morning i got an email letting me know that my order was cancelled and if id like to place another order for a phone, then i can go back to the store and do so. why would i want to go through another month of this??? verzon lost my order. i never canceled it and i am beyond annoyed. i am looking to switch my entire house to another provider. this is ridiculous.

i did not get any reasons or explanations. the email just stated that my order was canceled and that it won't be posted to my credit card (i have more than enough to cover the cost, so that is not the issue). also my husbands phone was paid for from the same card moments before me. my balance is always paid automatically and on time. so that couldn't be the reason either. that's what so frustrating is because they didn't explain what happened. this is what the email read exactly:
"This email is to confirm that your order has been cancelled; you have not been billed for this merchandise.
If you would like to place a new order, you may do so by visiting your local retail store or going online to www.verizonwireless.com.
Business customers should refer back to their local Verizon Wireless Sales Representative if you have any questions or would like to place a new order.
Thank you, and we look forward to your business in the future.
    Verizon Wireless"
it almost feels like its saying that i canceled it and that this was to confirm that i did. but i didn't cancel anything.

  • Can I cancel my iPhone 6 plus pre order and still keep my upgrade?

We pre ordered the phone on 2 month contract upgrade, but now we want to cancel the pre order. The phone still hasn't shipped yet, it's supposed to ship out by the end of the month, so can we cancel the pre order and still keep the upgrade for a different phone?

        ba1696,
Ordering a new phone and being able to purchase one at any time is certainly exciting. If you purchase a new phone and have not received it,you most certainly can cancel the order and keep your uprgade date the same. Was there any particular reason you were wanting to cancel the order for the iPhone 6? Was the order placed online or over the phone? We have all of the options available for you.

  • Iphone 6 plus order not clear

II've pre-ordered the iPhone 6 plus on the 12th of September then I got an order number and everything, but everytime I go online and check on the status of my order they say the iPhone is at the warehouse and I have to wait up to 3 weeks to get it , my question is  , if the iphone is at the warehouse why do I have wait 3 weeks to get it !?  I called every single sprint store around my area and nome of them have the iPhone 6 plus in stock , if the iPhone 6 and 6 plus are out of stock when it's going to be back in stock ? Looking forward for a response , thanks

In short no. They have already shipped and tracking shows them delivering on Monday. Not sure why but Verizon shipped these FedEx 2 day... According to their site they are offering free overnight on most items if they qualify and these devices do. When I pre-ordered I wasn't given a shipping option so I assumed overnight delivery. I'm a little upset about that but hey at least I will have my 6+ on Monday and not in November! Whoa! I'm patient
