VI executable (.exe) without running, running continuously, abort execution and pause button

Dear All,
I want to make build an application (.exe) from a VI and I don´t want the front panel to show the running, running continuously, abort execution and pause buttons (VI Toolbar Buttons). The purpose is to make a SCADA application without the risk of accidental STOP.
Maybe the question is too trivial but I am new to LabVIEW and I don´t find the way to do it (I unchecked the "Show Abort Button", from the VI properties menuo of the Build Specifications but nothing happens).

I accidentally hit "download all" in itunes on my iphone 5. Is there a way to stop this without going thru each song individually and pausing it?

I am new to the iphone, just got my 1st one today!
I was just going to let the songs download, but shortly into it I got a message saying I had used 50% of data plan for MONTH, so I panicked and was just pausing each song as it started downloading. Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.

How to hide only pause button on toolbar in run time

hello,
I had hide all the buttons like run, run continuous, abort vi and others by navigating to VI Properties and unchecking the corresponding options.
when i run the vi, all becomes hide except pause button and i didn't find any option for hiding it manually as well as programatically.
can any one tell me how to hide pause button. i have an urgent requirement for same.

So, the option I mentioned is still available, but only at a different place.

Is there a way to install exe of a vi on an XP machine without LV run-time and not have to restart?

I need to deploy an application that reads channels from a FP module for testing purposes. The problem is, I cannot restart the system I need to install this on because it is running critical control software which cannot be interrupted. The system does not have the labview run-time engine and I know installing this requires a restart of XP probably due to registering DLLs or something.
I'm using "Fieldpoint Network Read" to read from the module. The simple answer would be to simply install this on a machine on the same network that I can restart. However, I have no such luxury because I am connecting to the system in question over a long distance VPN connection and I need to be able to poll the data from the FP every 250ms which may be too much for the connection.
So basically, I need to find a way to read data from this FP in a manner similar to "FP Network Read" without restarting the system. Is there any way to do this with labview? Alternatively, I may be able to write this app using LabWindows since I know some software is already running on that machine programmed with that.

The first thing I'd say is that a restart may not be necessary. I have in the past installed LabVIEW development environment and when asked I said I would restart later. Then I opened LabVIEW and started coding. I'm not sure what it thinks it needs to restart for but it may not be required.
The other thing I'd like to mention is that LabVIEW 7.1 and older can run EXEs without needing to install a run time engine. So it is possible to build a EXE in 7.1, then include some files and DLLs in the same directory as the EXE, and when it is ran it will use them. There's probably issues with talking to DAQ devices without MAX and I have no idea how you address this but it is another possibility.
Of course you already know the best answer and that is to reboot the system when most convenient.

How can i run different executables (.exe) from labVIEW?
One method is through the "system exec" vi. Other can be through the ActiveX (if the software is activex enabled)

the problem is X permission than not replay on smb.
If manual set ".exe" X permission file run but when rebuild exe with compiler restore only "Read&Write permission"
Is possible use inheritance on smb (lion)?

Itunessetup.exe won't run

I am on Windows XP. I have downloaded and saved itunessetup.exe. I then rebooted, closed applications and shut off antivirus. I tried running setup.exe but it does nothing. Any ideas?

actually what I wanted , is to download the application in advance in cache and execute later in future date
every time I was selecting as soon as possible so it was forced run, now I made it future date working accordingly because I am running it from RAP now.

Clean uninstall and delete 'sapdb; and 'SAP' folders. Then reinstall again.

When exiting firefox the GUI shuts down but firefox.exe is sill running

Firefox starts and runs fine, but when time to exit, the GUI shuts down while firefox.exe is still running using 50% of possessor resources. I have to go into Windows Task Manager under processes and end program from there. Other wise firefox.exe will continue to run using more and more memory. If I try to start FireFox, then I get "Firefox already running".
Once I shut down firefox.exe with the Task Manger, Firefox will restart and run just fine.

Plug-in and tasks started by Firefox may continue after attempting to close Firefox. The "X" in the upper right-hand corner closes the Window (same as Ctrl+Shift+W) but even if it is the last Firefox window, it does not necessarily close Firefox .
The only proper way to exit Firefox is to use Exit through the File menu, not the "X" in the upper right corner of last Firefox window.

Why does LabVIEW Application Builder 8.0.1 create an executable that will not run?

My VI runs perfectly. But when I generate the executable, it will not run. I get a "File Not Found" error. The file it can't find is "File Open+.VI" from vi.lib. I've tried copying File Open+.vi into my project. If still generates the same error.

There error is coming out of FlowCal Server. You use the current VI path to build up the file paths. That works great in development but when you compile a VI into an exe, an extra layer is added. See this KB http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/FD7DE8BC8FFC256C862565F4006BE363?OpenDocument
So when its an exe you need to strip the path one more time.

Runtime engine memory increase when .exe is not running.

Hi,
I have built a stand alone application that on launch will pop up it's front panel, and wait for the user to click the run button.
If i look in Task Manager, i see the .exe is present and has memory allocated to it.
If i do nothing (do not click the run button), and leave the application window open, the memory allocated (as seen in Task Manager) increases (about 3mb over 24 hrs). -note, the .exe is not actually 'running' my code, as the run button has not been clicked.
1, is this normal?
2, is there anything i can do to stop it?
3, is this down to my coding? (-would seem not as my part of the .exe does not run until the run button is clicked by the user?)
I do not have experience with memory & windows handling of it.
I understand the concept of a memory 'leak' -increasing memory due to continually incremented arrays etc.
Note, i am running the Execution Trace Toolkit, and it is enabled in the .exe.
LV 2011, SP1, WIn XP. (going to upgrade soon, but have held it static as a dev platform...)

No it is not. An application needing to click run before it works, is not normal. Open Microsoft Word, does it run? Do you need to click a run button? Other programs do not behave like this and neither should yours.
That being said I don't think this memory increasing by not running is normal, but I have never seen it and maybe that's because my program is either running or not. It is never in limbo where it is running but not doing anything.

Execute executable jars without jar.exe in system path???

Hello all,
I could run an executable jar file on my workstation once I configured its MANIFEST.MF file with its Main and class-path attributes. But, the execution failed when I tried to copy this executable jar file alongwith other required jar files to a workstation not having jar.exe in the path! However, the same programme executes successfully when I run it using a batch file where I set jar.exe in the path. is it possible to configure MANIFEST.MF file with system path?

Actually you don't need Jar.exe to run jars.yes, you are right! actually, I need another dll file in the system path to execute the application. how can I add this dll file to the path when running the application using executable jar.

note: the dll file required in the path is bundled alongwith other jar files.
