VIDEO CONFERRENCE OPTIMATION !!! help..
Hi all,
I'm still developing my video conferrence project ( over LAN ). I've modified AVTranmit2 and AVReceive2 to be one application. And I want to manage little client-server application, so that each user can make a conferrence with other user (more than one). I've already done bout transmitting and receiving audio+video between two computer. But I'm not satisfied yet bout my application. I think it should be high speed communication, coz it runs on LAN. but my application run with a delay about 2-3 second. Is it normal? What is the effect of streaming format in speed of transmitting? Can anyone suggest me how to optimize this video conferrence application. Especially to decrease the delay. I will appreciated if you want to share ur experience using JMF.

i make each client transform their webcam image to a jpg image that is sent to the webclient.
so i try to explain a bit better:
i wanted to create a video overseeing application and wanted to see the image of my webcam from an applet.
so, my applet connect me to the server i made at home.
the server notice it received a connection and then he do some:
ImageIO.write(stream, "jpg", streamSocketClient).
on the other side, the applet decode the jpg stream to an awt image and show it.
so i mean that RTP streams are converted to jpg streams sent to client which will convert it to awt image.

Hi all experienced JMF-ers,
I'm new to Java, of course JMF too .But I have a big will to learn it ..
I'm interested to develop such a video conferrence using JMF.
I've read JMF Guide ( although I don't understand all yet ), some refference, I learn several free source code on the internet ( it helps me to understanding JMF faster ) .
with my poor of experience I modify AVTransmit2 and AVReceive2 then I can make the code to transmit captured video and audio over LAN ( still one way stream ). Although it still makes a delay 1-2 sec.
But then when I look at this forum, I read several messages that video conferrence using JMF still have a problem such as can't transmit video stream over Internet yet.
Is there anyone who have solved this problem? ( I'm not testing yet for DaddyE's code for video conferrence) , if yes, I apreciated if you want to share ur depth experience about its high level architecture? And what's the algorithm ? I'll try to make the code by my self. Thanx before.

i decide to make a conferrence over LAN first before it goes to internet.
It doesn't work yet. I modify the code AVTransmit2 and AVReceive2.
And I think I dont set the frame rate ( default from the web cam ).
Video and Audio encoding are set just like AVTransmit2.
I have a plan to make client-server transmit. In a Local Area Network,
I use socket network programming.
Now, I've a problem to clone datasource. I think someone in this forum has a problem as I have.
whats ur suggestion about these :
1. merge the datasource for audio and video capture first and then make it one processor. After processor has realized, cloned the dataOutput from processor, or
2. make a processor for each audio and video capture, after both processor has been realized then I merge the dataOuput from both. and then clone the mergedDataOutput.
which one can work better ? ur help,please! -

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press the "Delete All" button
Install Adobe Flash Player.

Follow the prompts. Click Safari in the menu bar and then Quit Safari .
Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins

I suppose that you can demand all you want. It would have to be proven that the iOS update broke this particular function but it could also be said that it was just a matter of time that the broken thing manifested itself. We are going to get you up and running with all picture text messages. Have you ever been able to receive picture messages in a group text before? Can ou please check some settings for me. Let's go into Settings, Messages, and is MMS Messaging swich green? How about the Group Messaging switch? If they are green, go ahead and switch those off for a few seconds and then turn them back on. Then re-try the picture message. One last thing, you can also try to reset the network settings. Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. Please keep us posted.

I'm a novice on Premier Pro CS5.5. I dont know what's happen. I can't not operate any key of video effect after the stop image effect periode in the middle of my element. So, the opacity and the incrustration Cache transparent-8points can not be change for the résidual part of the element. Look on the picture below, the opacity dont work and then, the 60 appear directly in the glasses. In the first picture above, i use the opacity and the video effect Cache transparent with success before the stop image effect periode. Somebody can help me ?

Do your time remapping on the clip, and then select it and go to Sequence > Nest. Add your remaining effects to the nested clip.

Try my little "trick" (must be running iOS 4.3 or better)
Download the app "Download Manager Lite" (FREE) or "Download Manager" Full ($ 1.99 USD)
After downloading, transfer it to iTunes
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
After transferring, Go to your iDevice (on itunes), to the apps page, scroll down, you can add/save videos and/or files.
Click on "Add", find the folder of which your movies are being downloaded. Its much faster than syncing from itunes.
You can do the wi-fi transfer, the best part is that you don't have to be connected to the same wi-fi.
You will get 2 different URLs you need to type on your computer. Type the Web URL not the ftp URL. After that, you should have access to the app, without the need of itunes.
Click on Add, find the folder of where your movies are stored, faster than syncing with iTunes.
