View Menu of part and SWTBot

Hi,
I'm facing a problem with SWTBot, I don't know if I need to post it on the SWTBot forum or here.
When I get a SWTBotView for a part and this part have a View Menu, I cannot access the content of this menu.
I tried the following (which I found in a bug) :
viewBot.bot().toolbarDropDownButtonWithTooltip("View Menu").menuItem(...)
That does'nt work. More precisely, there isn't toolbar in my part.
So I tried to get the menu via application model but then, the menu is not yet rendered so the call :
viewBot.getPart().getMenus().get(0).getWidget return null.
So is there a method for getting this type of elements ?

Yeah that did it. It's funny, but I know the first thing I did when I installed the program was enable all of the advanced preferences. Do they return to default with updates?

SQL Developer: View menu selections Reports and Connections not working

Downloaded latest SQL Developer May 9 updated version and my dropdown selections from the View menu for Connections, and View Reports do not work. However, Snippets does appear when selected. Hate to lose some of the User Defined reports I had created. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know if I get what you're saying: the entries Connections and Reports from the View menu don't work?
On top of the connection tree, if you get one, aren't there the two tabs with these options?
If you're unable to view the whole tree, you're installation would be corrupted. Install from scratch in a separate folder, first without migration to see if that resolves the issue. Then you could do the same with migration to retrieve all previous settings and connections.

View Menu in Leopard and Snow Leopard

I've had many Macs but I'm new to the Leopard and Snow Leopard OS. I asumed in the past that if a folder was set to view files as icons or as text, the setting would remain that way unless changed.
Using Snow Leopard in a 17" MacBook Pro, I have my HD set to view folders and fies as icons. I find, however, that if I set another folder to view icons as files and close my HD when I am finished with the folder, when I open the HD again, my icons are no longer there and all the folders and files are displayed as text.
Is there any way I can keep my HD set to folder display?

'View' Menu curiosity

Hi all. iTunes 8 question. Could someone clarify the logic behind placing the "Show Current Song" command in the 'View' menu? Logically (and from previous iTunes builds), the "Show Current Song" command resided where it logically fits, under the 'File' menu. So, why the relocation?

Part of View menu not visible

Working with a newly installed version of Pages'08, I noticed that part of the view menu is ... well, not there. View ends with "Show Invisibles" and nothing further. Normally "Zoom..." and "Show Inspector" and a bunch of others should show up, but there is nothing there. Without having actually done a precise comparison (the two computers are pretty far apart...) the other menus seem OK.
Any ideas where this could come from, and how to remedy it?

It may be a problem of corrupt preferences. Go to HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences & delete the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist & restart Pages. Deleting the preference file & forcing the application to build a new, clean file is a simple first step in troubleshooting a misbehaving application.

helps (Web Part menu -> Change Web Part -> OK).
- Sometimes resaving of Web Part settings does not help. In this case restarting of Application Pool 'SharePoint - 80' with further
resaving of Web Part settings helps.
For List Views containing XSL:
- Server rebooting does not help.
- Server updating with futher rebooting
helps.
- Restarting of Application Pool 'SharePoint - 80'
helps.

According to your post, my understanding is that Web Parts and List Views with XSL were displayed unnormal.
The error message is caused by that the time allowed for doing the XSL transformation was exceeded.
In SharePoint 2010 the XSL transform cannot take longer than 1 second.
There is now a hot fix available from Microsoft to resolve this issue, the solution are at this page:

In addition, you can install sharepointfoundation2010-kb2597136-fullfile-x64-glb.exe and use the PowerShell
script below to make the change to the Timeout value
If the issue still exists, you can perform an AppPool recycle in IIS.

I had to do a restore on my computer, so I had to reinstall FireFox. and after doing so, certain websites look really small.. I want everysite to cover the whole page.. How do I do that.. I have looked for the view menu, and can't find it.. HELP, PLEASE!!

On my Facebook, there is an inch or two of blank space on each side, and my banking site, is just a small square with the info on it..

Right click the orange Firefox button to open the toolbar context menu or use (F10) View > Toolbars.
* Click the Menu Bar entry and place a check-mark to make the Menu Bar visible all the time (Windows and Linux).
* Click "Tabs on Top" to remove the check mark and place the Tab Bar at its original position just above the browser window.

Add extra empty toolbars if you want to see more of the persona. 
You can create extra toolbars to get extra space via View > Toolbars > Customize 
You have to put something on a toolbar (drag a Space item onto it) before closing the Customize window because empty toolbars are automatically removed.

I'm in the middle of a text animation design treatment and unless my memory is completely failing I thought this was an option.
An example would be selecting all layers and being able to see all bounding boxes and animation paths while moving along the timeline.
Of course this could be quite a mess if you couldn't selectively chose which layers, its just with this current project it would be so helpful if
I could see the text beyond the canvas to aid in my animations.

I do understand shift + v " to "Show Full View Area" and shift + z to fill screen, etc.
and command + & - for zooming
what I'd like to do is selectively view, say, the text outside of the canvas as you can see the bounding box
which contains the text or object when selecting one or all layers in the layers column
I haven't used this feature in a while though I do recall using it in the past.
Any help would greatly appreciated

I changed my screen to full page view when in Hotmail and now I can't get the Firefox Menu (including my bookmarks) back-how do I change back to my prevoius view?

While using my Hotmail, I changed the view to 'full screen', which meant I lost the Firefox Menu Bar at the top, including my Bookmarks which I use quite regularly. I don't know how to go back to my regular screen the Firefox Menu Bar, including my Bookmarks. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Some choices:

# Move mouse up through the top of the screen to menu bars, if you show them

I upgraded from 3.6 and could not get the orange Firefox button but only a grey one with misaligned commands. When I hit View/Menu Bar even this button has vanished and the screen resembles 3.6

I use Win7 on a desktop PC. I upgraded Firefox 3.6 to 4.0. Where there should have been the orange firefox button was a grey button 'Firefox' with a small arrow. on clicking this the commands were there, but not properly aligned. There was also no minimise/maximise/exit buttons on the top right of the screen. I checked 'Help' and found no info. I then turned on View/Menu Bar. The minimise/maximise/exit buttons appeared; the grey button vanished and the screen now resembles FF 3.6. However About tells me that I am using 4.0.
BTW, I also tried various Beta versions in 2010 and abadnoned them because the same problem happened.

The orange Firefox menu button will only appear if the menu bar is hidden. 
Are you using a custom theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes) ?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

My toolbar has completely disappeared. I still have the back arrows on the far left, but everything else is just ... gone. I've tried stopping Firefox and restarting several times, but nothing is changing. All the toolbars are checked in the view menu.

After upgrading to V6, The View menu no longer shows the shopathome toolbar

The shopathome toolbar is no longer on the View menu so I can't display it.
This problem started after I upgraded to Firefox V6 under Windows XP.

Jdev 11g R1: disable af:panelCollection view menu

I think we address this issue with the ER I filed. If yu don't want to hide the menu as a whole - which was my proposal - plays with skinning and you see that there is a way to hide the the column menu too. For example, the submenu is part of af|menu. Hiding af|menu hides everything, but hiding af|menu af|submenu only hides the sub menus, which there is only one. However it takes some trial and error using firebug to get to an instance specific skin that only touches the column menu you want to disable
So as said, you have 2 options:
- wait for the ER to be implemented (where the is no release date for yet)
- use skinning to find a hook that hides the menu

No Connection Navigator in the View menu

Hi,
There is no Connection Navigator item in mu View menu, only System Navigator and CVS Navigator.
Any ideas?

Have you installed the java edition?
In the Java edition only the core Java and XML features exist. The Application Navigator and the Connection Navigator are part of the larger J2EE and Studio(ADF) editions.
