Viewing Individual Tabs

Hello,
I'm working in VB 8.0 and have a program modification I'm trying to get working. Here is what I'm trying to do. The program has 128 test register spread out over three tab pages out of a total of 7 tab pages. All tabs are not visible when the program is running. When the operator selects one of the register page buttons to view from the main page I want the tab for that register page and the other two register page tabs to become visible so from that register page they can view the other register pages without having to return to the main test page. So is there a way to make only certain tabs visible while all the others are still hidden at run time and then hide them once you return back to the main page?

Tab controls don't work the way you're describing, so you'll have to use another method. Even if they did work that way, it would require that the controls on one tab be physically located so they don't overlap/share the same XY area as another control on another tab page. Basically, consider the tabs to be on different Z planes. If you want to stick with a tab control then you could use the tab control purely for selection, but none of the tab pages would have any controls. Then, depending on which tab page is selected you could hide/unhide the appropriate controls.
Another option is that for the control(s) that are on the other pages that should be made visible can be left as "floating". In other words, their XY location is as if they're inside the tab, but their Z location is such that they're not contained within a tab. You can do this my using the arrow keys to move a control. At edit time the control will have a shadow around it, but the shadow will go away at run-time. You can hide/unhide these controls as necessary depending on which tab is selected.

Is there a way to enforce the order in which these individual tabs are rendered? The order is not predictable and there is a dependency in the application that one of the tabs is already completed rendered before the other. Please let me know.

Is there any way to view two tabs at the same time w/o opening a new window?

I would like to view one tab while I am working in another. I can do it by opening one of the tabs in a new window and tiling both windows on the screen. Is there any way to do it within one window?

Just installed Split Panel and it looks like it will do exactly what I want.

View standard tabs in BP transaction

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to view standard tabs on BP transaction which are not visible.
For Eg:
While Creating Business partner with role as (BP General) I could see the following tabs :- Address , Address Overview , Identification , Control , payement Transaction , Long text , Marketing Attributes ,Status , Documents tabs respectively.
But while creting Business partner with role as (Finincial Services BP ) I could see differenet set of tabs.
My requirement is if there is a tab name Ratings available on (Finincial Services BP ), I want that tab to be visible on ( BP General screen), i.e I want Ratings tab to be also visible on BP creation screen when the role in (BP general).
Please letme know the respective SPRO settings or is there some other settings which I am supposed to do.
Help will be appreciated.

Hi,
For thsi go to transaction SPRO. Follow the path Cross application components -> sap business ppartner -> business partner -> basic settings -> define bp roles.
Here double click on the role and click on hide flag.

There are more than one Applications folders. At the root level of your system is an Applications folder for all users, where most installations go. Every user, including you, also has a separat Applications folder.
Check all of them.

Columns' positions do not match in pdf form compared to the "View Response" tab in Form Central

I think I understand why this happened. And I am loookng for workarounds.
For example, let's say in the beginning you have five fields (A, B, C, D, E) in your form. Later on, you decided that you need to add two more fields says A1, and C1, and now the fields are as follow A, A1, B, C, C1, D, E. After you submitted the form to Adobe Form Central, you take a look at the "View Responses" tab, and you realize the order of the columns are as follow A, B, C, D, E, A1, C1.
I believe this happened because the new fields A1, and C1 were added later. But I am wondering what are the workarounds?

Yes, it does work in Acrobat Reader. I'm just trying to determine if this is a recent bug in Tiger (like maybe because of the 10.4.9 update) or if it's something related to the particular version of Acrobat the file was created in.
I haven't had to have Acrobat Reader on any of my Mac's since Jaguar.

Can I individually change any of the attributes of an individual tab (not the page) on a Tab Control?

I have a Tab Control with approx. 15 tabs. After the user changes anything (adding text, changing a ring control, etc. ) from the default configuration on any of the 15 tabs, I would like a change to that individual tab only (say color change, text change, anything) so when the user sees all 15 tabs, they know what tab page has had changes to the defaults.
I appreciate your help with this one!
(Note: I tried using a imported bitmap control of a red checkmark - and use true/false to an
visible property node -this only works when placed in any of the Tab control pages, but not on the individual Tab itself.)

I have attached a LabVIEW 6i example to this post that indicates with an LED if the control on the Tab has been changed from its default value. I used the classic LED's to make them invisible when the value is still the default. Hope this helps.

I've got two ideas for you:
1. Swing has implementable L&F (skins) for all components. You could create one for you JTabbedPane as a subclass from some existing UI L&F
2. you can always do this in your paint method. Might be tough though

Error viewing variables tab after running edit UI

I have a problem that seems to be somewhat like this:

The VI I am trying to run is an edit substep of a step type. LabVIEW checks to see if the "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName" property exists, populates a listbox with it if it does. Another listbox with all the available measurement names also appears on the UI. The user has an Add and Remove button to remove measurements from the "ReadMeas" listbox or add them to it from the "MeasNames" listbox. Multiple names can be added/removed at once depending on whats selected when the buttons are pressed. Once "Done" is clicked the VI writes the"ItemNames" property of the "ReadMeas" listbox to "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName", using a Set Property Value node which is passed the TestStand Sequence Context. If the property doesn't exist it creates it.
The only time I have any problem is when I try to remove items from the property after it is already initialized (i.e. not empty). In other words, if I run the VI from teststand, put several measurement names into "ReadMeas" click done, run the VI again (the names already added appear in the box when the UI comes up, LabVIEW reads "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName" ), and then remove some of the names. IF I had "ThisContext.Step.Setup.ReadMeasNames" opened in the step "Variables" tab when trying to remove the names this message appears in the Variables tab: "One or more errors have occurred. Please Save your work and restart the application." If I make sure not to have "ThisContext" expaded in the variables tab, but check the property before and after removing names from the list it does work properly and there is no error.
This isn't a big deal becuase I doubt the end-user will be checking to see that the property actually got populated, but I still would like to fix the bug if possible. I've installed the patch for TestStand 2010, and the .Net framwork 4.0. Anyone have any idea what could be going on here?

It looks like you're running into a Known Issue 193751, which is documented in the TestStand 2010 and 2010 SP1 Known Issues List. This is an issue that we intend to fix in a future version of TestStand.

Please try the steps below and see if it works:
Back up the list view web part < WebPartPages:XsltListViewWebPart > you highlighted, and delete or comment this web part, then save the page.
Reinsert the certain list view web part via INSERT ribbon, then you will see the LIST VIEW TOOLS.

In the View responses tab, i would like to insert an image as a thumbnail for each formula to identify my products for a multiple products survey. Is it possible ?

Management is thinking for implementing New G/L in my Company and we have to prepare the presentation for that. I am not sure of few points though I have searched already but unable to find out anything which clears my doubts which are as follows:
1) Can we implement new G/L In-house or do we have to get it done from external sources or SAP only?
2) Can we achieve IFRS and GAAP reporting through segment reporting in house or not. Does that require any other cost as we are already on ECC6.0 but new g/l is not activated?
3) Is it mandatory to get the Data Migration done from SAP or can we do it In-house as well?
4) If one knows the approx. cost if we get it done from external sources at each point on in total at all the above mentioned points?
5) Is it so that partially we can do it and partially we need to take the help of the external sources?

IPad can find cellular connection settings no longer displays View Account Tab

yesterday iPad could not find cellular data connection...Settings under cellular data no longer displayed View Account tab. (Image below is from my older iPad to show what is missing on newer one with the issue.)
iPad then displayed notification that it could not connect to cellular data and said to restore iPad.
I tried to restore via cable to iTunes on home iMac. All attempts failed.
By the way I checked the AT&T Accout which is a grandfathered "unlimited" act that is current and up-to-date
Can anyone help?

I would take the SIM out and then reinsert it. Next I would restore from backup. Lastly I would restore to factory new to see if it works in that condition before you add things to the iPad.
