VS 2005 Design Environment - CR v10 CrystalReportsViewer Problem

I have a Design time VS 2005 web page which has a CrystalReportsViewer control which references a CrystalReportSource control which has a FileName property that points to an external file which is a Crystal .rpt file of a report created by CR v10 Dev Edition. I am running on Vista SP1. When I first created this page 3 months ago on this same computer, during design time, an image of the report in the referenced external .rpt file showed up inside the CrystalReportsView control. Recently, the above image disappeard, and there was a Red message in its place the said "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of the object". This same report generates correctly during the runtime execution of this page. The Design time CrystalReportsViewer still works correctly when I look at the same page project on another PC. I know there must be some setting in the environment of the Vista machine that was changed. Please help.

Welcome.java - Microsoft Design Environment Opens Problem

I tried the Welcome.java and got it to compile. The problem is when I launch it from the command prompt it open up in the Microsoft Design Environment , is there some way to prevent this? I can't launch it from the MDE either.

How do you launch it? What command do you use?
Try doing it directly ie c:\java14\bin\java myClass
I would take a look at your "path" environment variable to see which app is getting invoked. Particularly the windows\system32 folder.

Modelling databases in Oracle Designer environment

Today I had laboratory's which subject was: "Modelling data and designing databases scheme in Oracle Designer environment" and I have to make a report for tommorow. I can't find some answers for questions which our Professor told us to include in the report. I would be very grateful if enyone here can help me.
1) How looks in SQL code definition of the key of the table if relationship have PRIMARY UID attribute?
2) Is there any difference in SQL code between references replying to transferable and not transferable relationships
3) Why some tables have more columns than number of attributes in entities (entities contains the same things that tables)?
My english isn't perfect, sorry for that. But I hope that I wrote that wuestions correctly.

3) OD entity models don't include inherited referential key attributes, whereas the SQL tables (obviously) require them.

Public Views for the Design Environment

Hi,
I want to select Information from the Public Views for the Design Environment. I need details from the mappings, but can not found the informations.
I can't found it in all_iv_xform_maps and all_iv_xform_map_components.
I build a mapping and user some Functions in the mapping (Transform Operators). Now I want to select the location Information of such an operator.
In detail I need:
1) Right Click on a mapping
2) click configure
3) collapse Transform Operators
3) collapse a function
4)I need the Information under Location.
Sometimes in my mappings there is "Unkown value" and I want to select from the Public Views for the Design Environment these entries.
Can some one help me?

1.) What do you mean by "start" them? You select from a view just as you would a table. If the view is there and you have permissions, it is available to you. As to where to find them, they are owned by either your repository owner or repository manager user - depending on how you have set things up. But any user registered as an OWB user will have synonyms pointing to the views for the repository to which it is registered.
So, when you have defined a source or target Oracle Schema and registered it as an OWB user, you can simply "select * from all_rt_audit_objects" or whatever else as that user when you want to get information from the views.
2) None of your user-defined tables use these views. These views are pre-packaged select statements against the tables in the OWB repository to make it simpler for you to extract information about your metadata, deployments, and executions of the objects you have created in a given repository. Using a tool like TOAD, Oracle SQL Developer, SQL*Navigator, or whatever other Oracle development tool you use, you should be able to get the source for these views if you want to understand how they are collecting data for you.

Problem matching hostname and IP address cannot start XI Design Environment

The present situation is

The problem is when i use java web start for opening the Design platform, it starts to download the *.jar files by specifying <hostname> xyz, hence unable to download the .jar files and hence not able to start the Design time and Configuration time Environments!

Hi Ramesh,
Assuming you are using Windows environment, do the following in the m/c you are running integration builder:
Go to Start->Run->Type drivers->Ok->go to folder etc->open hosts file with notepad->in the last line, set your XI Server hostname and provide the IP for the same. (An entry for 127.0.0.1 localhost will already exist in the file)->Save and Close. Now try running SXMB_IFR.

Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer: Special Character (German Umlaut) Problem

Hi,
i have created a Mapping with Seeburger Mapping Designer (Invoicd96a to XML). I started the test environment, compiled the mapping and converted the Message to XML. I got a syntax error in the destination file so i added the setSourceEncoding("UTF-8") option and i got a working xml file.
My problem is that all special characters, will be displayed as ? So the word "Beträge" will be converted to "Betr?ge".
What i have to di, to fix this problem ?

hi,
i have to create an Edifact to XML Mapping with the BIC Mapping Designer. After creation i can deploy this mapping to SAP XI and calling it by using it as module in the specified adapter.
My idea is that the mapping should working correct in test enviroment before i deploy to SAP PI.
Perhaps anyone has an idea.

CS5 Design Premium Installation Adobe Bridge problem

When I try and install CS5 Design Premium it fails because it wants me to close Adobe Bridge (which is not open) and won't let me go any further. I tried uninstalling CS3 but it won't let me because it wants me to close Adobe Bridge.
What Now?

There shoult be a Bridge icon in the system tray (bottom right corner), close Bridge from here and run the uninstaller or if you don't find this icon you can kill process Bridge.exe but this is not always the best way to overcome a problem. I would recommend closing the application from system tray icon.

CS6 Design & Web Premium "Program Launching Problem"

II purchased CS6 Design & Web Premium in September and have been using the program ever since and everything was working fine until this week when I tried to launch Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc. and I got the following message:
“The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernal32.dll”.
Consequently, the majority of the programs won't operate at all because of this. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling CS6 and also using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool. Also, I've reinstalled Windows and even replaced my Processor thinking that might be the issue but nothing has fixed the problem. NOTE: By the way, I also own CS5.5 Design and Web Premium and everything works fine.
Now I'm getting the message when I try to launch Illustrator that I'm only using a "Trial Version" and I have to sign in.
Please help me. I really need to use CS6.

"Code & Design" and "Code & Live" view problem i am getting in Dreamweaver CC 2014

Please anyone help me.
I have 2 webpages, one is with 12 columns fluid grid based and another is without fluid grid based.
Both are open in same site folder in Dreamweaver CC 2014.
I want to resize/edit my fluid grid div column in design view.
But i m not getting the proper menu (view-->Code and Design)
why the problem is happening ?
If my non-fluid page is active for edit purpose than i am getting the "View"-->"Code and Design"
if my fluid page is active for edit purpose than i am no getting the "View"-->"Code and Design"
but i am getting "View"-->"Code and live"
i am unable to resize my fluid div using the resize handler.
this is fluid based, i need "code and design view"
this is non-fluid based

In Design cs5 importing illustrator objects - problem

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with importing objects from illustrator to in design. The file is a ai format. It is a square with masqued black rectangle. The square has an outline 0.25 point set o middle of the path.
When i'm imoprting it to in design normally (with selected crop to bounding box) the object has an invisible outline. it only appears when the outline is set to middle in illustrator, when it's set to outside or inside, in design shows the content of the frame properly. please see the screenshot.
in eps file everything is ok. why's that?
can somebody help me solve the problem?

First, it seems like a lot of extra work to me to do this in Illy and import instead of just doing it directly in ID, but that's neither here nor therewith regards to the problem.
First, is display performace set to High Quality?
Does the object appear correctly if you print tha page or export to PDF? I've seen cases where art will pick up or lose a thin stroke on screen due to display interpolation. In these cases changing the zoom usually changes the apperance of the stroke.
Doe it work better if you change the cropping to Art?

Designer 6i with Warehouse Builder problem connecting

Anyone, i'm using designer 6i and WB 2.0.4,
when i try to use a designer application as a data source for WB i can't see any application in the 'New Module Wizard: Connection Information' window. When i created and tested the DBlink i got a test ok message. By the way I used the repository owner username just like the manual describes. Is there a version compatibility problem? Any advise would be appreciated!

I found my mistake. The tablespace was too small :-(
It had only 20MB instead of 200MB that I wanted to give it. Somehow strange. After I increased the tablespace to 200MB I got the following message in the repository assistant.
INS0005: Tablespace TS_OWB_REPO hat nicht genügend freien Speicherplatz zum Installieren der owb_repository_owner??-Objekte. Es stehen 0 Byte freier Speicherplatz zur Verfügung. Es sind 262144 Byte erforderlich. Erhöhen Sie die Größe des Tablespace, oder wählen Sie einen anderen Tablespace aus.
even if the tablespace was totally empty. After I set the tablespace to "autoextend on" the repository builder finished without errors even if it used only about 150MB of the 200MB.

Designer 9.0.2.7 - problems with capturing PL/SQL packages

I would appreciate any help regarding the following issue:
We tried to capture in Designer 9.0.2.7 the existing PL/SQL packages from an Oracle 9i database and we have met some problems.
Even the package has a body containing two public procedures, when capturing, the Designer generates warnings that say the PL/SQL package body is empty. Therefore, the Designer capture the body content and write it in the PL/SQL Block of the PL/SQL Definition property, but the content of the body is preceded with the " character.
This makes problem when generating the "ddl" for the package (the package is not created correctly in the DB).
In addition, when generating the "ddl", the "END package_name" is added twice.
Other problem is that the package specification information from Designer is just "END package_name;"
For some of the packages containing only a list of public procedures, without any other variables declarations, the Designer does not capture these procedures as separate subprograms in the package definition, as it does other times. In this case, the package body is entirely captured in the PL/SQL Block and with the " character before content.
Is it some settings that can be done or some rules about the format of the PL/SQL procedures in order for Designer to capture all packages in same manner and correctly?

I am connecting to the database as the package owner..
I have noticed earlier that I have problems when capturing triggers also.. The content of one large trigger contains 36371 characters and when capturing it from DB, the content was truncated to 28020 characters in Designer.
Our ideas with capturing the DB packages/procedures were to use the Designer as version control system.
We wanted to have all objects used in a project in Designer.. entities, tables, triggers, packages, procedures, Forms files, etc. in order to make a configuration for a project release.

CLASSPATH Environment Variable on Win2k problem

Designer 7.x and Javascript problems.

I noticed this strange behaviour:
Creating a pdf using ACROBAT and adding this.importAnFDF("fil.fdf"); code to Advanced>Javascript>Document works without problems loading the created pdf with acrobat and filling with data.
If i create the pdf with designer (7.1 or 7.0) and try the same code in docready, formready etc etc and all the other it gives me always the same error (i have tried esporting to all the versions availble, changing script behaviour to client/and or/server) setting the fields name to the variable into the fdf...nothing:
TypeError: this.importAnFDF is not a function 1:XFA:form1[0]:docReady
If i open in acrobat this pdf and try to add the same script using Advanced menu the JAVASCRIPT VOICES ARE ALL DISABLED EXCEPT FOR THE DEBUGGER.
I believe this is a bug or a protection that is added creating documents with designer.
Anyone may help please?

I am in the same situation, I have a dropdownlist in which my customers will be able to add or delete one element. I used a lot AcroForm so I understand how big the issue is, what I thought was:
1- Get all the dropdownlist elements (representation and value) and put then in an array excepting the one that I want to delete.
2- Clear the list.
3- Add all the items stored in the array.
My problem: I don't know how to get all the values of a dropdownlist. I have been searching the way to get it but neither selectedItems nor listItems work.
