Waiting for a refund for a device purchase on Thanksgiving 2014...

I've been waiting over 3 months for a refund on a smart watch I bought on November 28th 2014. The smart watch was discounted for the holidays so I decided to pick it up as a Christmas gift. The person I gave it to did not want the watch so I sent it back to Verizon with the supplied shipping label. The watch was received by Verizon on January 12, 2015, before the extended holiday return policy ended. Since then I have been calling every 2 weeks to check on the status of the refund and it is always the same story. The person I talk to has no idea what is going on so I have to explain the situation and give them the tracking number to confirm that they received it. They then promise me a credit to my account within a few days, which never comes. Last time I called the person said that the watch is being held in the warehouse and needs to be verified. It has been over 3 months and I still have not received my refund. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received and a giant waste of my time. What do I have to do to get this refund?

If you want a refund, take it back where you bought it.
As for the rest of your question, until you give us something resembling useful information, like what EXACTLY the problem is, and what error message(s) you're getting, we can't even begin to guess.

  • HT1933 What if your child or your child's friends purchased the applicaitons and credits of some applicaitons(games, sports and even gambles) on your child's iPhone? can we apply for the refund of the inadvertenly purchase?

Jim2178: my point is the one who purchased the applicaitons or credit is not the one who is the credit card holder. It means the credit holder didn't permit the account holder to purchase. the problem is Apple requests all the Apple ID account holder to enter credit card information to be granted the Apple account. Does your 13y child have credit card? Of course, it will be the parents' credit card. How to prevent from such inadvertent purchase? My son's friend recently purchased ~S$1,288 applicaitons and credits with my son's iPhone in the past month. It was discovered when the credit card bill is received. What a pitty...

Thanks, I have not but I am going to. I don't know which one I should talk to? Mayme I should send to all 8 persons from iTunes supports. However, I have done the "Report a Problem" with the "advertenly purchase reason" and stated the reason for the refund request on every APP items of the purchase history. It is about 94 items. But, Apple supports(8 of them) replied they have made some exception to refunds(4 of 94) and some requried more time(6 of 94) from the few latest purchses. There are ~180 In APP purchase which represents ~U$900. These cannot be reported the problem. Don't know who I should talk to.
What I am going to do is to reply the emails to [email protected]  with the 270 purchase list and tell them what happened. I can only hope that Apple can look into such issue and give some help.

  • GST refund for Apple Singapore Online store purchase

    Hello All,
I am planning to visit Singapore for a couple of weeks and thought of buying iPhone 4S from Apple singapore online store. Is it possible to apply for GST refund for purchases made from Apple Singapore online store? If so, could you please suggest how?

From a UK point of view it genrally takes about 3 weeks from when u ordered for it to be delivered to you. However many customers are seening a improvement of these time, as Singapore is closer to China where the iPhones are shipped out from (if not a warehouse in Singapore) I would guess 2 and half weeks from when you ordered.
Just from my personal experience although it has launched in loads of countries today so would not be suprised if it does take 3 weeks to ship and and a week to deliver.
Goodluck and hope you recieve it well before the quoted time!

  • How do you get a refund for an app that was purchased through the new App Catalog for a WebOS app!

    Hi,
I just purchased a Dictionary app from Palm's App Catalog, the product is listed as: English Dictionary and Thesarus by Ultralingua, Inc. and it was not something that was advertised correctly and hence is not something that I want.
It costs a whopping $9.99 and if it was as advertised, it would have been worth the money but it is not.
I've had Dictionaries on my Palm Devices so when I saw the first directory for the WebOs for use on Pre, I immediately got it.
However, unlike my old Palm dictionaries, this dictionary requires you to have a network connection.  Something that is not useful for me.  I sometimes like to look up word while on the subway to work (I live in NYC) where this is no network connection.
There was nothing in the description that said it 'required' a network connection, and considering that all of the dictionaries I have gotten in the past did not require a network connection, I assumed (since it didn't state anything) that I could use it off-line.
Heck, since you are required to use this dictionary online, I might as well use google to lookup a word and that is free!
So I believe I was tricked into getting this app, and I want a refund!
And there doesn't seem to be a way to get a refund for an app that did not disclose it's requirements before I made my purchase.
Thanks for you help in finding out how to get a refund when its needed!
    Rob
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

Palm does have the ability to remove apps remotely, that was added in the last update.
I knew that would be Palm's response, but I earn you now, Palm better make sure they put a better description on these apps.  And in this case its Palm's fault for not disclosing that this app required network support in order to work.
They should at least make that part of a feature description.
This is the second app that I purchased that was not advertised correctly.  So I far I have spent good money on crap only because the descriptions did not contain the right info.
I see the only solution is to make all apps have at least a one hour free trail, or whatever free trial you want.
I and I'm sure I'm not alone can't keep purchasing stuff that either doesn't work as advertised or is misleading in the description.
I mean really Palm, you approved a dictionary app that just does a google in the background and displays the definition.
I can do that same thing by typing it on my Pre and hitting Google?
I still feel cheated and ripped off.
I signed up for Palm and WebOS because I wanted to give you a second chance but that love only goes so far.  I think Andriod will be in my life soon.  I can't stand by and let myself be taken advantage of.
I just can't believe how angry and upset I AM over this.

  • Why isn't an in-app purchase eligible for a refund

My son accidentally bought an in-app purchase thinking he was using the coins from the game and it's telling me it's not eligible for a refund. This is in Minion Rush. What's the reason for the refusal?

you may have not contacted the right department. iTunes Store support almost ALWAYS grants refunds for Accidental in-App purchases.
Got to Expresslane.apple.com. Choose iTunes > iTunes Store > Purchases & Billing > Unauthorized charges > and enter in the information, and you should be receiving a call from them.
Let them know the situation, and you should receive a refund with no problem. Hope this helps.
And it might be a big help to set restrictions on your device as well.
    Hope this helps.!
