Want  install socket server on OSB

I want create 1 socket transport provider and if any client can connect to the server socket and get data back .
The example (given URL below) showing an option to choose ''socket" in protocol dropdown box under Transport Configuration in BusinessService. But when I am trying to create it, I did not find any options in both OSB Console and OSB workshop .
To get above "Socket" option , i need to install socket server on OSB.
My Requirement is:
I wil receive an input data in .xml format <----> convert to Fixed string with the help of MFL and send to <--->socket transport provider <--->Mainframe Service running on TCP/IP . So need to choose "socket" option while creating business service.
For Reference: please see this link
Example Link: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/transportsdk/example.html#wp1036563
Please let me know if any solutions

D:\Oracle\Middleware\osb\11gPS2\Oracle_OSB1\samples\servicebus\sample-transport contains a simple transport for TCP/IP port. You can extend this to support your use case..

  • How to send XML packet from external socket server to OSB

    Hi folks,
How do I use external Socket Server(tcp) to send payload to OSB ?
I have configured the socket protocol in my OSB. I am also able to send and receive responses by testing my proxy services from OSB itself.
But now, we want to use some external socket (tcp)server to be able to fire some xml file and then receive response on OSB.
    Please help
    salil

You need to use a socket client application to send a message to a socket where your proxy is listening. For receiving a message at a socket, configure business service at OSB.

  • Keep a Socket Server connection/port open for incoming requests

    Hi,
I have a socket server which listens to the incoming messages. The problem is that the socket server terminates the socket connection once it receives a message.

  • Can someone tell me why I want to install a server?

    Hi,
I was hoping someone can tell me if there are any benefits to installing Leopard Server. Here is my situation.
Running a small (new) photography business with my wife. We have,
    Powerbook G4 1.5gig Laptop
    Macpro Desktop.
    Macbook Pro Laptop
    Western Digital 1tb extrenal drive.
We use iCal to maintain our schedules, have our site hosted with a provider we are happy with, and other than that, I wondered if there would be any benefit to installing Leopard Server on the Powerbook G4, and connecting the other two computers wirelessly.
I am not to well up on server software, so I really just wanted to know if it would be worthwhile stringing the three computers together in some way. Please excuse my inexperience!
    Thanks for any help given.
    Hugh

To be clear, you don't need Server in order to connect remotely to your files. If 'on the road' you will always have internet access, you could connect to your file server and get files. The difference with Portable Home Directories is that you'd have copies of those files synced onto your laptops (assuming that they have big enough hard drives) before you left so that you wouldn't have to connect to the server.
As for the iPhone issue, I've seen a few things about being able to administer machines from your iPhone, but I don't think that they really support too much in that respect. Once the SDK is released (next month?), though, I imagine that people will start writing lots of those sorts of applications. A quick Google News searched uncovered this for accessing your Filemaker Pro from your iPhones:
    http://www.macsimumnews.com/index.php/archive/adminanywhereupdated_to_version103/
Finally, I forgot to mention in my previous message that if you are going to make one computer into a server, using OS X Server or otherwise, I think that the Mac Pro is the most logical choice. It will presumably always be in one place and can be left on and connected to the internet, whereas your laptops might at any given time not have an internet connection, be closed and asleep, or be flying at 30,000 feet on their way to Toronto. Plus, the Mac Pro is more flexible if you wanted to put some more internal hard drives in it or replace the hard drive if it fails, etc.

  • Can I install Windows Server 2008 R2 using Bootcamp? I do not want to install native, but may consider if that is the only way....

I already have Win 7 on an internal Bootcamp drive. It so far has worked well, Bootcamp performance drag is minimal, if at all. Now I want to install Win Server 2008 R2 and load a bunch of virtuals using Hyper-V Manager. The virtuals are already created. This is to practice for a certification test....
Running Mountain Lion, 2010 MP 2 X 2.4 (8 core) 24 GB RAM, all HDD slots full.

Works like a charm. Apple Supports says you can have multiple instances of Bootcamp. Win Server 2008 R2 is up and running, drivers installed (except issues with Bluetooth) and accepting Windows Updates and Service Packs.

  • Reporting Service integration but dont' want install SharePoint Component on SQL server

    1) Server Farm 1 Sharepoint 2010 Server, 1 SQL 2008 R2 Server. I want to use RS SharePoint Integration mode, but don't want install RS Add-in and SharePoint components then join Farm, want the SQL server to be a dedicate SQL server. can I use one(or one
of the SharePoint server to run RS web site, but put only the reportserver database in SQL server ? Can I do this ?
    2) in another test, I installed SharePoint(have to install all not WFE) on SQL and joined SQL server to SharePoint Farm, but I did not see \Reportserver in IIS, but I can browse http://MY_SQL_Server/reportserver site, someone says, RS in SQL 2008 don't use
    IIS, is this true ?
    3) If the 1st option does not work, can I install a 2nd SQL server as RS server(put only reportserver database on it, and join to SharePoint Farm if must), put all other SharePoint DB on another SQL server ?
    Thanks
    Jason

    Hello Jason,
You cannot configure a report server in a SQL Server without SharePoint products being installed.
If you are configuring a report server to run in SharePoint integrated mode in a SharePoint farm, you must install front-end Web server components of a SharePoint product on the report server computer, I think that is the minimal installation of SharePoint
Server 2010 on Report Server. To install and configure SharePoint web front end on Report Server, please see How to: Install a SharePoint Web Front-end on a Report Server Computer.
Here is a step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode in a multi-server deployment topology. Hope it can be helpful to you.

  • Installing Forms Server on Windows 2000

We installed Forms Server 6i on Windows 2000. We completed the installation successfully. When we clicked on the 'Run the Form on the Web.', it gives 'This page cannot be displayed.' error. We tried this twice, but getting same error.
    Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    VL.

Do you have your web server installed too?
forms server works in conjunction with your web server.
Make sure you have done the following...
Web server is listening on port 80
Forms server is running in HTTP mode. ( You may need to stop and restart the forms service in win2000 if you change this from socket in the registry )
You must also set up your virtual directorys on your web server. I used the microsoft internet information server that comes with win2000. It's an add on component on the disk. Oracle would suggest you use Oracle 9i application server ( Which is rebadged Apache )
Forms server is running on port 9000. Also set in the registry.
You also edit the in the formsweb.cfg file in <ORACLE_HOME>\forms60\server
Make sure HTTP mode is set in this too. You can also change various params such as the applet size etc. I would recommend the Oracle look and feel and run in separate windows options.
All the forms tester does is run a bit of cgi which will dynamically change the base HTML file in <ORACLE_HOME>\forms60\sever.
You will notice there is one file which is baseie and basejint. The cgi will choose to use the one depending on if you choose to use jinitiator or ie50=native.
When you go live can maually edit these files depending on what java viutual machine you choose. You can place this file in your web site root as defaut.htm or whatever you want and it will serve you app without using the cgi html generator.
Sorry if parts of this you know but it took me weeks of work to set this up. The Oracle documentation is not very well put together.
I have read nearly every line of the damn stuff.
Please e-mail me if you have any queries as I may have not made sense in places.

  • Unable to install SQL server 2000 and 2005 on Satellite A205-s5831

    Hello everyone.
I Needs some helps from all of you.
I have Toshiba Laptop Satellite A205-S5831.
Its Have Windows Vista Home Premium.
And I am unable to install SQL server 2000 and 2005.
I also Unable to Install Windows XP SP2.
    Problem is SATA driver.
    Plz Help me ...!
    Response me

    Hi
The Windows XP needs a SATA driver if you want to install it on the notebook with SATA HDD controller.
The SATA driver can be found in the Intel Storage Manager.
I would recommend using the nLite program to include a SATA driver into the new Windows XP CD and then to boot from the new created XP CD.
Here you will find all details regarding the nLite:
    http://www.nliteos.com/
    Regarding SQL server issue;
Maybe you will be able to install in on Windows XP. Possibly there is a compatibility issue between the Vista and the SQL server software

  • Assign unique id to client of socket server

    HI
I am in the process of developing a xml socket server application and have hit on a problem. I have managed to create a server that listens for connections and once a request is recieved creates a new client on a seperate thread with the reference being stored in a vector in the server.
However I want to be able to assign an id to a client when it is created so that I can broadcast messages to specific users.

my apologies my question was poorly stated..
When i meant unique i mean that they will have already been prdefined i.e for example the following users
    Name David
    UserId *(Unique) 0138868
    Name sarah
    UserId *(Unique) 4138868
    Name rob
    UserId *(Unique) 7138868
what i want to be able to is when the users connect they can be refeneced by their Userid so that if rob wants to say something to sarah without david knowing. The problem I have is that I do not know how to provide the userid to the server such that the server can create a new client thread with a specified id.
    Hope that makes sense ;>

  • SharePoint 2010 functioning incorrectly after installing Search Server Express

    Hi,
and thanks for taking the time to lend a hand and your knowledge. I have a Sharepoint Foundation 2010 site that has went crazy after I tried to install Search Server Express - which FAILED near the end.
I have checked the logs for the correlation Id provided on the SPF site when it errors.
    03/05/2015 10:02:23.75  w3wp.exe (0x101C)      0x1264 SharePoint Foundation          Runtime
tkau Unexpected System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.    at Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.ListEditPage.SetSectionLinks()     at Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.ListEditPage.OnLoad(EventArgs
    e)     at ASP._layouts_listedit_aspx.OnLoad(EventArgs e)     at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive()     at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) b5f617dc-5d0e-4c5b-92fa-1b7e5a12f2e3
My issue now is that it appears I will need to remove the SSE install, but from what I can see online this can have a serious impact on the SPF site. I really want a few opinions as to what my best route to take would be on this issue.
Also, I am wondering what would happen if I run the install again of SSE, would it resolve,
    OR
is it going to be a matter of detaching the content database and reinstalling SPF2010, and reattaching the content database (P.s. I have a back up of this database of approx. 4Gb from before I ran the install that has ruined the last two days of my life!!!)
    Kind Regards,
    AG06

    Solution...
Over the weekend I was able to detach the Database, delete the original Web Application on Port 80.
Reattach the Database to new WebApplication and extended it to my current URL.
This was brilliant and it required minor config in terms of redeploying some custom solutions and WebParts.
The result was perfect and it confirms that because SearchServerExpress (which is now working perfectly I may add after a new install which ran without errors) failed to finish its installation.
P.s. I recommend that if you complete this, you back up almost everything you possibly can (as I did) - better to be safe than to be sorry.
P.s.s. Before I deleted the original Web Application on port 80, I had tested my theory on a new Web Application on port 400 (any port is fine providing it is not being used). This illustrated to me that it would work - I didn't just go deleting Web Applications
    for the fun of it!

  • Error Installing SQL Server Express 2008: '' is not a valid login or you do not have permission.

I have tried installing SQL Server 2008 multiple times on my machine, and I always receive this error about 3/4 of the way through: '' is not a valid login or you do not have permission.
I have tried installing both SQL Server Express 2008 with Tools and SQL Server Express 2008 with Advanced Services, and they both fail the same way. I am trying to do a new stand-alone installation.
I'm running Windows XP Home Edition SP3.
Looking into the error, some forums say I have to install it from THE Administrator account, and not an account with administrator permissions; it also cannot be in Safe Mode, because then the Windows Installer won't work. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to login to the Administrator account. I can go to the home login screen, do ctrl+alt+del twice, and attempt to login to the Administrator account, but I receive this error: Unable to Log You on because of an Account Restriction.
Other forums say that in the Server Configuration section, all you have to do is provide the username and a strong password from an administrative account on the computer, and it doesn't have to be THE Administrator. Well, I did that, but for some reason it doesn't recognize my username and password, it says something like "The credentials you provided for the SQL Server Agent are invalid". BUT THOSE ARE THE CORRECT CREDENTIALS FOR MY ADMINISTRATIVE USER! So I'm forced to use one of the accounts without a password, like NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. That's the only way I can get past this step.
Also, just FYI, on the next step, which is Database Engine Configuration, I am using Mixed Mode for the Security Mode. I AGAIN provide a password, and then add my current user (who IS an administrator on my machine!) to the SQL Server Administrators box.
But yet, it fails every single time.
This is pathetic and ridiculous. I must have tried to install this thing 15 times, that is not an exaggeration. I'm posting this on several other forums as well, maybe an MVP or Bill Gates himself can help me.
I have one of the log files from a failed installation. If someone would like to see it, I will post it.

PS : if you are talking about the Sql Server Agent Service, it is disabled for Sql Server Express. It is enabled only for the Workgroup/Standard/Dev and Entreprise Editions
Sorry, but I've tried the suggestion in that link, and it hasn't helped me.
For anyone wonder, the link is talking about the problem in Server Configuration where I enter my Windows user account and password (which is in the Administrative group), but it says the credentials are invalid.  The link suggests that you need to either enter your Windows account (which I did, and it wouldn't let me go to the next step), or to use one of the built in accounts (which I also tried, but it gave me the " '' is not a valid login" error during the installation).
    Any other ideas?
I haven't had any answers from any other forums either, so I'll just post my log file in case anyone wants to look at this:

  • After Installing SQL Server 2012 Service Pack the RDL reports do not work

I installed SQL Server 2012 Service Pack on backEnd sharepoint and also on BI Server that host Reporting Service.(Before installation everything was working properly)
After this installation the RDL reports do not open and I receive this error message.
The permissions granted to user 'domain\username' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)
I also receive the same error message on changing DataSource, Parameters and subscription.
I should mention that, I am using Reporting Services in the Integration Mode. I want to open and modify RDL reports from SharePoint and inside the SharePoint Document Library.

    Hi Hedayat,
    Thanks for posting your issue,
To solve this problem you have to grant your SQL Reporting Service Application Pool
Account (whatever is running your SQL Service Application, see Central Admin -> Manage Service Application -> SQL Server Reporting Services)
Full Control to the web application that report is being deployed to in your particular case.
Or you could just use the powershell command below:
    $webApp = Get-SPWebApplication –Identity http://yoursharepointapp
    $webApp.GrantAccessToProcessIdentity(“domain\SSRSAccount”)
Also, check out below mentioned URLs for more details and fixes of this issue
